AMERICANS GIVE OBAMA FAILING GRADES IN SIX KEY AREAS, AND YET...

Oddly enough at a time when many polls seem to be indicating that Barry “Almighty” would easily beat all Republican comers in the next election, his overall job approval, at least as reflected in Gallup’s most recent daily tracking poll, currently sits at 43 percent. I may be a little biased here, but even that number would seem to be a little high to me. It also makes me wonder just how bad do things need to get before there is an overwhelming amount of Americans clamoring for this guy to go. But when it comes to how he is handling the federal deficit, his approval, at least according to a survey conducted November 3-6, is only 26 percent, and that, Gallup reported, I think, just yesterday. That is the second lowest approval level that Barry has received during his term for his handling of the deficit. His lowest approval for handling the deficit was the 24 percent he received in a survey conducted August 11-14, the last time Gallup polled on this question. That was less than two weeks after Barry signed legislation to increase the federal debt limit by as much as $2.4 trillion. People see amount of money that has been spent with very little, or nothing, to show for it.

Since Barry's coronation that took place back on Jan. 20, 2009, but seems so much longer ago than that, according to the Treasury Department, the national debt has climbed from $10,626,877,048,913.08 to $14,976,508,611,373.88—a mind-boggling increase of $4,349,562,460.80. Just to put that into perspective, that equals roughly $37,000 for each of the 117,538,000 households the Census Bureau estimates there are in the United States. When Gallup asked respondents to say whether they approved or disapproved of how Barry was handling eight different issues, Barry’s approval for handling of the deficit was lowest among the eight. Barry’s next lowest approval level was 30 percent for his handling of the economy. His third lowest approval level was 36 percent for creating jobs. Barry also had approval levels of less than 50 percent for his handling of health care (41 percent), the situation in Afghanistan (48 percent) and foreign affairs (49 percent). The plain truth is that during Barry's reign, 230,000 new public sector jobs have been created at the same time that 6.2 million private sector jobs have been lost.

Oddly enough, the only areas where Barry seems to be able to achieve a better than 50 percent approval levels, that would be in his handling of the situation in Iraq (53 percent) and, something that really has me a little confused, his handling of terrorism (63 percent). Regarding his handling of terrorism, there were two occasions in which he had some help from the military, the same military for which he has so much disdain, and other where he simply claimed credit for something actually achieved by two other countries. I guess people still somehow assign credit to him the fact that back in May, a team of U.S. Navy Seals killed al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden at the compound where he had been hiding in Abbottabad, Pakistan as well as Anwar al-Awlaki taken out later by a drone in Yemen. And let’s not forget his taking credit for Kaddafi's death. And as far as his handling of the situation in Iraq, just how tough is it to decide to cut and run, it's what Democrats have always decided to do. So how is his announcing that all U.S. combat forces will be out of Iraq before the end of this year seen as handling the situation?

As the election grows closer, the American people are going to have to come to grips with what it was that we did on November 4, 2008. And that was to essentially put a gun to our head. On November 6, 2012 we will have to decide whether to pull the trigger or to put the gun down. And to be perfectly honest, after seeing recent polls that have been taken by various organizations I'm not sure on what the American people will ultimately decide. The committing of national suicide seems to be on the mind of an awful lot of people. The rescuing of this country is going to rest entirely on those of us who still love this country. And our enemies will be many and formidable as well as being very well funded. What we're up against is a Democrat Party that together with its army that consists of the state-controlled media, the unions in this country, any number of leftist organizations such as Moveon.org and, of course, the Hollywood elite will be determined in its effort to thwart us. It will be up to "We the People," and we must realize that no one candidate will provide to us everything that we are looking for, and that any of those currently seeking the GOP nomination would be better than Barry.
