YET ANOTHER ATTACK ON THE SECOND AMENDMENT BEING FORMULATED?

Ok, riddle me this, Batman, what does a botched government "sting" operation have to do with Americans being able to enjoy their Second Amendment right to own a gun? Well, if you’re a pathetic Democrats, it apparently has everything to do with it. Always on the hunt for any way to rob the American people of that right, at least one Democrat appears to think that she may have now struck on something that may assist them in that endeavor. In this case it's yet another wack job from California, Senator Diane Feinstein, who is attempting to make the case for national gun registration, using as her premise, of all things the "Fast and Furious" debacle. This rocket scientist made a rather idiotic comment, saying, “perhaps mistakes were made” in the botched gun-walking program known as Fast and Furious, and to attempt to try to place blame misses the larger problem. "Perhaps mistakes were made?" And what exactly might that larger problem be to which this idiot refers? Democrats have been desperate to find a way to take away our guns for decades, and there is no low to which they will not stoop to accomplish that goal. But this is a stretch even for them.

“This is a deep concern for me. I know others disagree, but we have very lax laws when it comes to guns,” Feinstein, a longtime advocate of gun control, said during Tuesday's hearing of the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Terrorism. This is nothing but a very blatant and obvious lie being told by the Senator from California. There are more laws on the books regarding gun ownership than there are for anything else. Now I might agree with the argument that there may be lax enforcement of some of those laws, and that may, in fact, need to be addressed, but we do not need any more laws. “My concern, Mr. Chairman, is that there’s been a lot said about Fast and Furious, and perhaps mistakes were made,” Feinstein said. “But I think this hunt for blame doesn’t really speak about the problem. And the problem is, anybody can walk in and buy anything.” This is an insane argument and has absolutely nothing in common with the events that took place. And oh, how dare we look to place blame when we have a Democrat president. Ms. Feinstein is trying very hard to make a connection here even tough one of these issues has absolutely nothing to do with the other.

In the badly botched Operation Fast and Furious, a program designed by Eric Holder's incompetent Justice Department, and which began in September 2009, law enforcement "knowingly allowed" about 2,000 U.S. guns to flow to Mexican drug cartels, the supposed intent of little scheme was to then allow federal official to then track these weapons and make arrests. However, somewhere along the way things kinda came off the rails and these stellar law enforcement folks lost track of nearly all of the weapons. The program was finally halted in December 2010 but not until after two of weapons from the program were found at the murder scene of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry. Assistant Attorney General Lanny Breuer, head of the Justice Department’s criminal division, revealed Monday that he knew about Operation Fast and Furious going back to April 2010, but did not inform Attorney General Eric Holder about the matter. And in what was very clearly an attempt by Ms. Feinstein to make her point that our "lax laws when it comes to guns" are somehow responsible what took place here, our brilliant Ms. Feinstein asked Breuer about the number of U.S. guns in Mexico.

And being ever the team player in this continuing assault on the Second Amendment, Mr. Breuer said, “From my understanding, 94,000 weapons have been recovered in the last five years in Mexico. Those are just the ones recovered, Senator.” To which Ms Feinstein responded, “Of the 94,000 weapons that have been recovered from Mexico, 64,000 of those are traced to the United States. We have to do something to prevent criminals from getting those guns.” Then she asked the esteemed Mr. Breuer the $64,000 question, “Do you believe that if there were some form of registration when you purchase these firearms that would make a difference?” To which this moron cheeerfully responded, “I do, Senator,” adding that “information is the tool we need to challenge the people that are committing this crime.” Ok, I know I'm not the sharepest knife in the drawer, but am I to understand that by further infringing on the rights of law abiding American citizens, that we'll somehow have an impact on guns that wind up in the hands Mexican drug cartels courtesy of the U.S Government. What Ms. Feinstein seems to purposely overlooking here, is the fact that all of these weapons were literally handed over to these "criminals," to which she refers, by our very own government.
