JUST ANOTHER LAME EXCUSE FOR AN ATTEMPT MADE AT CHARACTER ASSASSINATION...
Well I'm sure many of us are of the opinion that one of the more memorable exchanges, if not "the" memorable exchange, from Thursday’s debate in South Carolina came during the opening minutes of the first round. That specific moment when pompous ass, faux journalist and, in this instance, debate moderator, CNN’s John King took one on the chin, so to speak, after choosing to make his very first question of the evening to Newt Gingrich about his ex-wife’s accusations about him wanting an open marriage. Those of us watching know what ensued, Newt pretty much let this supposed impartial "moderator" have it right between the eyes. And rightfully so. Guys like this King fella are always only too happy to give every sleaze-bag Democrat that comes along, a pass. How many times was Teddy Kennedy ever asked about the young girl that he murdered? Or how many times was old "Slick Willie" asked about his many little indiscretions both in and out of the White House? Not once. So like Chris Wallace and Juan Williams who came before him, King got a little taste of what should be common practice when one chooses to ask an obvious biased and completely irrelevant question like the one that was asked of Newt.
Anyway, so now we‘re getting, as Paul Harvey used to say, the rest of the story. Or at least what's supposed to be King’s side of the little discussion that took place on national television. His version of things came to us courtesy of a little recap of the evening's events which was essentially nothing more than an exercise in stupidity. King sat there with his buddy and fellow CNN, Andy Cooper, of Anderson Cooper 180 fame. So, King provided his explanation of why it was that he asked the question with him going so far as to describe a conversation that he claims to have had with Gingrich afterward. “I had a conversation with the Speaker after and said, ‘Look, you’ve moderated these debates, this is one of those damned if you do, damned if you don’t,” King said. “It is a story that is making the rounds in the campaign. Is it an issue I’m happy came out in the last 48 hours of the South Carolina primary? Of course not.” Ya know this guy is just so full of SHIT! That's the thing with those in our state-controlled media today, they actually think that we're stupid enough to believe this type of garbage. Ya know, for these guys to think that anybody really cares about what they think, about anything, is just absolutely absurd.
And in what I'm sure must have been his best demonstration possible of his sense of shock and disbelief regarding how Gingrich chose to responsed, and how he simply couldn't believe it, little Andy Cooper then proceeded to ask King if he had had any inclination that Gingrich might chose to respond in the way that he did. King, sounding ever the objective "journalist" that he views himself to be, said, “I knew he was going to challenge the question.” Going on to say, “I’ve been covering politics for 25 years — I understood that if I asked the question he was not going to be happy with it and he was going to turn on me.” Finally adding, “It was my judgment, my decision, and mine alone. If we’re going to deal with it, let’s deal with it up front, let’s not try to sneak it somewhere into the middle of the debate,” he added. What judgment? Pathetic creeps like King continually try to explain away their obvious biases in such a way that has them only doing their job. This is what passes for "journalism" in the supposed "mainstream" media of the 21st century. The only judgment demonstrated by this moron was in how he could best go about to perhaps goad the others to into effectively participating in a dog pile on Gingrich.
Now while the question this jerk posed to Newt was the big question of the night, it was far from being the only idiotic point that this jerk, King, tried to pull off during the "debate." Nearly as stupid as the question asked of Newt, was the question that he put to Gov. Romney that he release the last 12 years worth of his tax returns. While Romney's response was far from being very forceful, the question very clearly demonstrates, and in very stark terms, the blatant hypocrisy of our state-controlled media. Because when is the last time that any of us remember when some media moron, like this dolt King, asked Barry tp produce the last 12 years worth of anything? What little credibility those in our state-controlled media still possess is very rapidly drying up. They're doing their best to make themselves simply irrelevent, as they have become what is nothing more than the propaganda arm of the Democrat Party. Guys like King and this twerp Cooper, bent themselves into pretzels all through 2007 and 2008 in their effort to bury whatever dirt was out there on their boy Barry. And there was a lot of dirt to bury. And they the have continued in that tradition for the last three years, with them walk around with their chests all puffed out and crowing, "See how important we are?"
