OBAMA’S ‘TRUTH TEAM’ NOT QUITE LIVING UP TO IT’S NAME…

Apparently, the “Truth Team” that was devised by our ‘Dear Beloved Leader’ isn’t quite living up to its name. The most recent example that comes to us is demonstrated by its willingness to blame Republicans for driving up gas prices. Barry’s campaign “Truth Team,” is described on his campaign website as being “a network of supporters of President Obama who are committed to responding to unfounded attacks and defending the President’s record.” But what it is in reality is nothing more than a rabid smear machine. This team of supposed supporters blames Republican donor Thomas O’Malley’s refinery company, PBF Energy, for helping to “drive gas prices up this year by curtailing gas production.” PBF Energy is America’s fourth largest petroleum refining company, and O’Malley gave $100,000 to Restore Our Future, which supports Republican, Mitt Romney.

But oddly enough, it was USA Today who called Barry’s truth team on it’s patently false accusations, revealing that, once again, the facts simply do not support the claim. “The Energy Information Administration credits PBF Energy for preventing a price spike in the Northeast this year by opening a refinery in Delaware — partially offsetting the loss of production from two other Philadelphia-area refineries that have closed,” USA Today reported. Barry’s supposed little “truth team” also badly botched another claim about a March fire at PBF Energy’s refinery in Delaware, saying it “directly contributed to a spike in gas prices.” USA Today countered that the fire was “under control in about an hour and had a ‘minimal impact’ on production — despite published speculation that it might hurt production and affect gasoline prices."

So there you have it. If the creating of the Barry “Smear Team” demonstrates anything, it’s that there is nothing that Barry will not to distort the facts, distract attention away from his failed policies and, at least, attempt to destroy those who may support his opponent. He is in a word, despicable. He is undeserving of the trust that was placed in him by so many, and of the level of respect usually bestowed upon those elected to his high office. The act of putting together this little cadre of smear merchants who make up this so-called truth team also makes it appear that he is more than a little desperate. His argument is not so much that we should vote for him, it’s that we shouldn’t vote for other guy. Why does he insist on running away from a record that he has described countless times as being one that he would gladly stack up against anybody’s? Where’s the truth in that?
