As you may, or may not have, heard, our "Dear Beloved Leader", Barry "Almighty" delivered what was billed as a campaign speech on Thursday the supposed purpose of which was to be attempt to reinvigorate his base and to outline some gleaming 'new' vision of how he sees America’s economic future. So, you may ask, how did it go? Well, I suppose when you consider the fact that even the socialists who gathered for a discussion over on MSNBC's, “News Nation with Tamron Hall”, all agreed that the speech essentially fell a little flat, then at least from Barry's perspective, I guess you could say that it probably could’ve gone a little better.“I thought this, honestly, was one of the least successful speeches I’ve seen Barack Obama give in several years,” Newsweek editor Jonathan Alter said. “It was long winded. He had a good argument to make, and at the beginning of the speech he seemed to be making it in a fairly compelling way but then he lost the thread.” He continued, “And the speech was way too long and I think he lost his audience by the end.” What? You mean to tell me that the great and wondrous orator, Barack Hussein Obama didn't quite live up to expectations? He 'lost the thread'? Look, how many times can this guy same the same things over and over again before the thread is lost?
Zachary Karabell, Daily Beast columnist and someone on the panel that was referred to as being an economist, echoed many of Alter’s sentiments, saying the president started his speech well, but it quickly went off the rails. “When he went, sort of, away from offense and on to defense, ‘what we’ve done and what we’re going to do,’ it became unbelievably diffuse and, in some sense purely as a political phenomenon it was very ineffective in that respect because it very well characterized the opponents as ‘this is not going to work’ but it didn’t really give you the sense of what will,” Karabell said. Huh?
While this panel of supposed brilliant political pundits seemed to be on the same page, sort of, Tamron did her best to put a positive spin on things as she repeatedly attempted to 'clarify' and to prop up Barry’s idiotic statements, She tried to make the point that what Barry was attempting to do here, was to argue that GOP Presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s policies would be the same as the ones “that resulted in the disaster that we saw with this economy.” And dim bulb, Alter replied, “And that’s a powerful argument to make.” “It is,” Hall enthusiastically agreed. “It didn’t work in 2010. But it can work, properly framed, in 2012,” Alter added.
Now let's just say for the sake of argument that this guy Alter was genuine and honest in his critique of Barry’s speech. But as is so often the case when dealing with those on the loony left, it certainly didn't take very long for some to go after guy for actually daring to say anything critical of their perceived socialist hero, Barry "Almighty". The Newsweek editor soon took to Twitter to respond to some of the insults that were hurled in his direction. “Just cheerleading BO doesn’t help him. He needs a sharper, more cogent message with some memorable lines. I ain’t walking my criticism back,” he tweeted in response.
