THANKS TO OBAMA, AMERICA IS NOW SO MUCH MORE RESPECTED…NOT!

Remember way back when, when Barry was running for president, and him repeating how, that if elected, he would set about working to make this country respected in the world again? Well, he got elected, but that "respected again" thing hasn't quite worked out so well. And apparently all of that pathetic apologizing he has done, even bowing for Kings and Chinese leaders, has done very little to 'make' people respect, or even like, us more. You see, it seems that favorable views of these United States have fallen in a number of countries all across the globe since 2009, despite Barry "Almighty’s" repeated, and rather strenuous, assertions that its policy of international engagement, including paying United Nations contributions on time and in full, has now “restored confidence” in American global leadership.

The numerous findings in this year’s Pew Global Attitudes Project report, which is described as being a survey of some 26,000 people in 21 countries and which relates to respondents’ views of the United States as a nation, as opposed to their opinions of our "Dear Beloved Leader" specifically, don't paint near the rosy picture that Barry does. You see, in 14 countries across the globe where Pew asked the question both in 2009 and again this year, U.S. favorable ratings has now apparently dropped in nine countries and has rose in only four. The fourteenth country, Spain, remained the same at 58 percentage points. So after having Mr. Freakin Apologist in office for 3+ years now, I'm not seeing where his approach, as far its attempting to garner more respect for our country, has been anything other than a complete bust.

Countries where favorable views of the United States declined between 2009 and 2012 are located in every region of the world, the Muslim-Arab world, Africa, Europe, Asia and the Western Hemisphere. They are Jordan (down 13 points to 12), Mexico (down 13 points to 56), Germany (down 12 points to 52), Britain (down nine points to 60), Egypt (down eight points to 19), Lebanon (down seven points to 48), France (down six points to 69), Pakistan (down four points to 12) and China (down four points to 43). The four countries where U.S. favorability ratings rose between the time Barry took office and now are Japan (up 13 points to 72), Russia (up eight points to 52), Poland (up two points to 69) and Turkey (up one point to 15). So to use a baseball analogy, Barry's not even batting 200.

The Barry administration came into office very loudly pledging a new era of engagement that was designed to improve America’s standing in the world after what it characterized as Bush administration unilateralism and disdain for the international community. The policy entailed reaching out to countries, blocs and especially that thoroughly dysfunctional cadre of all manner or misfits known as the U.N., with the administration pledging to pay U.S. “dues” to the world body “in full and on time” and deepen engagement with various U.N. bodies. Let's not forget that the U.S. taxpayers provide 22 percent of the U.N.’s regular operating budget and 27 percent of the peacekeeping budget, along with billions of dollars in “voluntary” contributions to various U.N. agencies. The total U.S. contribution in fiscal year 2010 was $7.69 billion.

The Pew findings suggest that while Barry’s 'engagement' policy may have borne fruit in some areas, it has not necessarily affected whether foreigners may view the U.S. in a positive way. Administration officials frequently tout the engagement drive and its supposed results. “We’ve repaired frayed relations with countries around the world,” U.S. ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice told the United Nations Association of the United States (UNA-USA) last June. “We’ve ended needless American isolation on a wide range of issues,” she said. “And as a consequence, we’ve gotten strong cooperation on things that matter most to our national security interest.” Is that not one of the most idiotic things we've yet heard coming from anyone in this pathetic administration? That's a joke right?

The Pew poll also measured foreigners’ views of the American people. There, too, only four of the 14 countries where the question was asked both in 2009 and in 2012 showed an increase in the favorability ratings of Americans between Barry's assuming office and now. Those countries are Japan (up 10 points to 80), Spain (up eight points to 60), Russia (up six points to 63) and Poland (up one point to 73). In the other direction, favorable views of Americans declined in Mexico (down eight points to 49), Egypt (down eight points to 32), Jordan (down eight points to 31), Lebanon (down eight points to 61), Pakistan (down six points to 14), China (down three points to 39), Turkey (down one point to 13), Britain (down one point to 72) and Germany (down one point to 63). The fourteenth country, France, remained unchanged as 75.

Barry has not only been a disasters for this country here at home, but he has been a disaster for us on what can only be described as being a global scale. We have the Chinese and the Russians continuing to be a source of great irritation in many of the world's hotspots, we have the Middle East on the verge of exploding as we've chosen to ignore our only ally in the region. And we seem to think it much more important to befriend those who would just as soon destroy us while, at the same time, choosing to badmouth our friends. Barry is seen as being a weak and ineffectual leader, and I use the term leader very loosely, and therefore the United States is seen as being weak and feckless. The electing of Barry as president has only served to make the world a more volatile, unstable and dangerous place. We can ill afford four more years.
