It was while in attendance at a recent little gathering held at that venerable 'institution' referred to as The National Press Club, that Chris Matthews, he who experienced a tingle going up his leg after hearing Barry speak, took it upon himself to criticize what he referred to as being the "Ditto Head thinking" of Rush Limbaugh listeners. And after seeing fit to chastise those of us who listen to Limbaugh, this brain-dead hypocrite proceeded to heap praise on such long standing members of our state controlled media as the Washington Post, the New York Times, ABC's "This Week," and NBC's "Meet the Press' all of whom, when placed together, make up the propaganda arm of the Democrat Party. Matthews and his cadre of faux journalists see themselves as being the army of reason, there to advance the Democrat Party cause and to be ready, whenever needed, to convince the rest of us to see the error of our ways whenever we choose to disagree with the Democrat objective.
Revealing what can only be described as being his very obvious ignorance regarding those of us who listen to Limbaugh, Matthews opined, “I do think there is some Ditto Head thinking that goes on in this country, people who listen to Limbaugh and that's all they listen to. I don't think they're growing.” As usual, Matthews spent a good deal of his time doing nothing more than rambling on about how we all need to spend more time listening to those who, he claims, are watching out for us. As much as it may pain me to do so, I do watch, and listen to, the rather bizarre viewpoints espoused by those on CNN, the big three networks and, even on occasion, the Washington Post. Hell, every once and while, and when I have a large supply of Pepto-Bismol on hand, I even watch MSNBC, including Matthew's idiotic program. At least for as long as I can stand it, which normally isn't all that long. I just find it so hard to believe that a grown man can actually believe any of the things that he says. It's just all so bizarre.
Matthews was appearing there before a group of 'journalists' and others at the Gerald Ford Journalism awards program and his rather idiotic remarks came in response to a question that was posed by an audience member and then recited to him by Theresa Werner, who I guess is the president of the National Press Club. “Do you feel that hardball political talk shows like yours is partly responsible for the growing lack of civility in our political discourse?” Werner asked. “Not at all,” Matthews quickly responded. “I think it gets it off your chest.” Matthews went on to say that people should watch a variety of shows, even if they do not like them. “I say, take a look at Fox once in a while,” Matthews said. “If you don’t like it, take a look at it. Make sure you don’t like it.” “In fact, maybe you won’t,” Matthews said. At least, he's hoping you won't. Because, coming from a guy who has roughly a dozen or so viewers each and every night, he can't afford to lose any more.
Matthews said that all reporters have a point of view, including that media icon Walter Cronkite, who he said was a liberal and “we all knew it.” What Cronkite was, was patently dishonest. He took advantage of the trust that was placed in him by millions of Americans by essentially lying to them. Matthews added, “They know me -- after all these years they know where I’m standing.” He went on to say, “I think people are smarter than people who look out for them acknowledge.” Ok, now is this moron actually implying here that he and his many cohorts in the media are actually looking out for us? Sorry, but with friends like that, I really don't need any enemies. Matthews went on to boast about the supposed thorough fact-checking that is done for his program and referred to the highly credible sources that he insists upon using. What a crock! Anyone who spends even the slightest amount of time watching "Screw Ball" very quickly recognizes the fact that there is nothing presented that has any basis in fact.
I find it hilarious that this guy actually sees as being the only bona fide “news” sources, some of the most liberally biased organizations on the planet. They have, over time, worked to hone their skills at deception, moving beyond simply providing information, to where they now work to deceive the American public. These days there is very little that is said by those representing the state controlled media, Matthews included, that you can actually trust to be the truth. But apparently, that seems to matter very little to Matthews. “If you like it, watch the Lehrer Hour – it’s damn good,” Matthews said. “George Stephanopoulos is damn good on Sunday – I mean, I watched it yesterday.” Of course he watches such drivel. Because all these clowns think the same way he does. The goal of such organizations is no longer one of providing news and information, if it ever was. The sole purpose for their existence today is to, and by any means necessary, attempt to bend public opinion.
