A PRELUDE TO THE STATE OF THE UNION…

Tonight Barry "Almighty" will discusses, I guess, his view regarding the current state of our economy in his State of the Union Address, an opportunity to hear Barry speak that I will be taking a pass on since I don’t feel like becoming ill. In so doing he will be dealing with an issue on which the American public gives him a pretty low grade. The same thing applies to immigration, energy policy, guns, and taxes. On all of those issues, more Americans disapprove than approve of the job Barry is doing, at least according to a new Gallup Poll. And yet, this worst president since Jimmy Carter was able to get himself re-elected. But who is it that's now doing all of this complaining? Is it those 14 Million folks who decided that it just wasn't important enough to show up to vote? If so, they have no right to complain. This is their fault!

What Gallup found was that Barry is heading into his fourth State of the Union address with an overall job approval rating hovering around 50 percent. But in eight of the nine specific areas measured, more Americans disapprove than approve of the job he's doing. In only one category, which oddly enough is the area of national defense, did Barry's approval rating (53 percent) exceed his disapproval rating (44 percent). That my friends is much more of an indication of the ignorance of the American people than it is of the job that Barry is, or is not, doing The Gallup poll shows that Barry's lowest approval rating is 31 percent, for his handling of the federal budget deficit. Only 39 percent approve of the way he's handling the economy. And the economy is expected to be a main topic of his little sermon tonight.

Obama's Job Approval on 9 Issues:
National defense - 53% Approve, 44% Disapprove
Foreign affairs - 46% Approve, 48% Disapprove
Immigration - 46% Approve, 48% Disapprove
Energy policy - 44% Approve, 46% Disapprove
Gun policy - 42% Approve, 54% Disapprove
Taxes - 41% Approve, 57% Disapprove
the economy - 39% Approve, 60% Disapprove
Middle East: Israelis/Palestinians - 36% Approve, 55% Disapprove
The federal budget deficit - 31% Approve, 65% Disapprove

And also under our current "Foot Stamp President," since his first taking office back in January 2009, the number of Americans now on food stamps rolls has literally exploded, having now risen to more than 47 million people in America, a number that actually exceeds the entire population of Spain, if you can believe that. "Now is the time to act boldly and wisely – to not only revive this economy, but to build a new foundation for lasting prosperity," that's what Barry said during his first joint session address to Congress on Feb. 24, 2009. Since then, there has been very little action taken that can be said to have been bold, as the number of participants enrolled in food stamps, the official nomenclature of which is the Supplemental Assistance Nutrition Program (SNAP), has now risen rather dramatically.

Facts are facts, and we know how much Democrats hate them unless they can somehow me made to bolster their leftwing/progressive agenda to wreck the country. But it's quite simple really, when Barry entered office in January 2009 there were 31,939,110 Americans receiving food stamps. As of November 2012—the most recent data available—there were 47,692,896 Americans enrolled, or an increase of 49.3 percent. Also, according to the 2011 census, Spain had a population of 46,815,916. Furthermore, between January 2009 and November 2012 the food stamp program added approximately an average 11,269 recipients every single day. Is that not something considered to be absolutely incredible, especially to see it taking place in what once was the most prosperous nation on the planet?

And then we move on to yet another area where Barry has seemed to excel. Unemployment for both women and African-Americans is higher today than it was when he first took office in 2009, at least according to federal government data. That would seem to matter very little to these typical Democrat voting blocks, both of whom voted pretty heavily to re-elect he who has been referred to as being our "Lord and Savior." Despite an economy that has technically been in recovery since June of 2009, many economic indicators are the same or worse than when Barry "Almighty" gave his first address to a Joint Session of Congress in February 2009. "We will rebuild, we will recover, and the United States of America will emerge stronger than before," Barry said in that speech. Just words, that's all.

However, employment for African-Americans and women has not recovered and is, in fact, worse today than it was when Barry first uttered those words. At the end of January 2009, 12.7 percent of African-Americans were unemployed. Four years later, January 2013, the situation was worse, with unemployment higher at 13.8 percent. Further, an additional 1.2 million African-Americans had left the workforce entirely during the same time period, with the number of those reported as not in the workforce rising from 10.3 million in January 2009 to 11.5 million in January 2013. Now what this tells me is that, at least hen it comes to these people, it's much more important to have a black president, even a black president who's destroying the country, than it is to have a job. Prove me wrong!

For women, the story is not much better. In January 2009, 6.9 percent of women in America were unemployed. By January 2013, 7.8 percent of women were unemployed. Similarly, the number of women who had left the workforce and given up hope of finding a job grew in the four years since Barry first promised to rebuild and recover. In January 2009, 4.9 million women were not counted in the labor force – by 2013, that figure had risen to 5.4 million. But I guess, at least after listening to women during the last campaign, the desire of having both free birth control and abortion on demand far outweighs the actual desire for having a job. Which makes it fairly obvious, I would think, what it is that all of those unemployed women must be doing now that they're not working. How else would you explain it?
