Ok, now I may have been born at night, but it sure as heck wasn't last night. So imagine my surprise when I heard that our brilliant Homeland Security Secretary, Janet Napolitano, recently insist that U.S. borders have "never been stronger." I gotta tell you when I heard that I damn near choked on my oatmeal. That most insane of comments was uttered by the esteemed Ms. Napolitano during her testimony, just today as a matter of fact, at a Senate hearing on, of all things, immigration reform. Good old Janet, being the good little party soldier that she is, is never above saying whatever it is that she’s told to say, all in the continuing effort to ensure Barry’s agenda moves forward. And this little appearance before this committee was her little part to play in convincing senators that they should agree to an immigration bill that would provide a pathway to citizenship for immigrants in the U.S. illegally in addition to border security.
Janet's testimony, here, is one more bit of proof that everyone involved with this most corrupt of presidential administrations moves as one, and that all concerned will say absolutely anything in the attempt to persuade Americans as possible that Barry’s anti-America agenda is just what the doctor ordered. "I often hear the argument that before reform can move forward, we must first secure our borders," Napolitano said in her opening remarks to the Senate Judiciary Committee. She then went on to say, "But too often, the ‘border security first’ refrain simply serves as an excuse for failing to address the underlying problems. It also ignores the significant progress and efforts that we have undertaken over the past four years. Our borders have, in fact, never been stronger." Come on Janet, you really think we're that stupid? Granted, those who comprise Barry’s more devoted followers might swallow this nonsense, but that’s about it.
Republicans, Jeff Sessions and John Cornyn, certainly weren't in the mood to go along with the idiotic assessment of things presented by old Janet. They did go as far as saying that while border security has improved in recent years, Barry's administration has done nowhere enough to stop the flow of people still crossing into the United States illegally. "I truly believe, had this administration done a better job of enforcement, been more effective in moving forward with a lawful system of immigration, you would be in a much stronger position with the American people who ask for a more broad solution to the problem," said Sessions. On the part of Janet here, it’s all nothing more that attempting to implement the strategy of repeating what is known to be a lie until there are enough people who actually come to believe it to be true. With Democrats like Janet, it's all about what's best for the party, never what's in the best interest of the country.
Supposedly Barry's administration deported roughly some 409,000 illegal immigrants last year, but again that's according to Napolitano. So I have no way of knowing if that number is anywhere near being accurate. Somehow I doubt it. Those who surround Barry are known for simply picking numbers out of thin air and then presenting them as if they are fact. And more than likely that's where this 409,000 number comes from. I've really never seen anything like it, they just make shit up and then run with it. And again, theoretically, 55 percent of those mythical 409,000 had pre-existing criminal records. Under direction from Barry "Almighty", Homeland Security and Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) prioritized removing people with criminal — and often violent — histories over those who, aside for their illegal status, have not committed crimes. Anyone who is in this country illegally is a criminal and should be sent home.
So immigration reform legislation has now emerged as being one of Barry’s top priorities in his second term. But let's not kid ourselves, it's not out of any deep-seated concern for those people who are in this country illegally. There is an ulterior motive here, make no mistake about it. You see, Barry sees them as being a form of electoral gold, potential Democrat voters, and if can gain for them some form of legal status that that will be enough to convince them to do as blacks have done, become slaves of the Democrat Party. So in seeking ways to do just that he has now called upon Congress to approve a bill that would provide a pathway to citizenship for the nation’s estimated 11 million illegal immigrants. Barry also wants a comprehensive employment verification system that would impose stiff penalties on employers who hire illegal immigrants. I think we know what Barry is looking to accomplish here.
Napolitano said while the number of people apprehended along the border has decreased and manpower and aerial surveillance has increased in recent years, more has to be done and the administration is committed to including measures that would further secure the border in a comprehensive immigration package. And that doddering old boob from Vermont, Patrick Leahy, the panel’s chairman, said he hopes to complete an immigration reform bill by the summer because the political climate for getting a rare bipartisan agreement is fleeting. "I want this committee to complete work on such a bill over the next few months. Too many have been waiting too long for fairness," said Leahy at the hearing. "Our window of opportunity will not stay open long. If we are going to act on this issue, we must do so without delay." Ever noticed that whenever we're dealing with what Democrats want, we need to hurry? Why is that?
So with our border now more secure than it has been in years, at least according to Ms. Napolitano, are those of you who live in our many border towns feeling just oh so much safer these days? Somehow I very much doubt it. What you folks will ultimately end up being, I fear, is the equivalent of Barry's sacrificial lamb in an effort that will essentially permit him and the Democrats to acquire millions of brand new voters. Voters that will then allow the Democrats to drive this country even further into the ditch than they currently have been able to do. Now the question that still exists is will these illegal's, even if they are somehow granted legal status, be as ignorant as the blacks in this country who continue to practice what is nothing more than blind obedience to their Democrat Masters. Masters who seek only to keep them more and more dependent on the government for their existence. So far, I'd have to say that they probably are.
