REAL UNEMPLOYMENT VS OFFICIAL UNEMPLOYMENT...

Look me in the eye and tell me that Barry "Almighty" is not working as hard as he can to get as many people as possible dependent upon government and I'll call you a liar. The sad fact of the matter is that the real unemployment rate actually rose in August, at least according to Barry's own Department of Labor, belying the fact that the official unemployment rate, 9.1 percent, remained flat while the economy did not create any new jobs on net last month. According to the data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, real unemployment rose to 16.2 percent, or over twice what Barry promised if his "stimulus" package was passed so long ago, up from 16.1 percent in July and tying the 2011 record set in June. It is difficult comprehend how it is that this many people could actually be out of work in this the most prosperous nation on the planet. Just goes to show you what a determined socialist can do from the White House.

The real unemployment rate, or so I'm told, is comprised of three different measures of the labor force that much more accurately reflect who it is that's really unemployed, as opposed to the official unemployment rate, which merely measures those who "told" the government they were unemployed and looking for work in the past month. The real unemployment rate is comprised of the official unemployment rate, those employed part-time because they cannot find full-time work, and those marginally attached to the labor force: people who have stopped looking for work but would return to the labor force if jobs were available. Barry may love to tout the official number, but the American people need to be aware of the fact that that number is used essentially for propaganda purposes, as it nowhere near accurately reflects the number of Americans out of work.

All told, the total number of Americans who are now truly unemployed, those that make up the real unemployment rate, now stands at a mindboggling 26 million people, and again that's according to the Labor Department's own data. All this nonsense about Barry wanting to "get Americans back to working again," is just that, nonsense. The way Barry sees it, if he can just manage to get these 26 million people into such a dire position where they will have nowhere else to turn but to the government, then he's fairly confident they'll end up voting for him and fellow Democrats out of fear of losing their government "benefits." And, for Barry, that's what it's all about, increasing the size of the Democrat voting base. Fear can be a powerful motivator and the Democrats will use whatever means they feel they need to in their effort to get elected.

  1. Great job, Dan. U6, indeed, tells the macro-story. A micro-story is U6 for blacks.

  2. I echo's DrPets' "great job, Dan."

The Resident has to 'make work' for a whole lot of humanoids. Otherwise his socialistic 'health care reform' won't materialize. He's got to prop up this thing somehow. The more people he can get on the public nickel means small businesses will spring up/be revitalized to support the 'nickel and dimers.' Gads, hope that makes some kind of sense.
