DEMOCRATS PLOTTING TO ROB FROM US OUR FREEDOM OF SPEECH...

Apparently Mr. David Bossie, founder of the conservative group Citizens United, thinks our First Amendment rights are under assault and I have to say that I would tend to agree with him. DEMOCRATS want all voices of opposition squashed, they wish to possess free reign over this country and they don't wish to be bothered by those who disagree with their perverted policies. Mr. Bossies says that those people advocating the overturning of the landmark Supreme Court case of Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission are a “posse of radicals” who are trying to "overturn the First Amendment." In a recent interview he said, “So that’s why I say they’re a posse of radicals who are looking for a problem rather than a dedicated group of people who are analyzing something seriously and trying to find a way forward.” As far as I'm concerned they are looking for a problem that does not exist, but apparently DEMOCRATS don't see it that way.

Mr. Bossie made his remarks while being outside of a Capitol Hill conference where certain liberal groups and key DEMOCRAT legislators were going about the business of planning and plotting a constitutional amendment the specific purpose of which is to overturn the Citizens United decision, on the grounds that the high court’s ruling in Citizens United’s favor will lead to massive corporate spending in political campaigns. “We haven’t seen that type of giving,” said Bossie. “We’ve seen individual wealthy donors give to these SuperPACs but we’re not seeing corporate giving and that’s really what we’re talking about, that’s their big hang-up. We just haven’t seen it.” I think it fair to say that while DEMOCRATS may make that claim, there is something far more sinister at work here. And you would think that if Democrats truly thought their ideas were what's best for America they would be screaming them the rooftops not working so hard to keep them hidden.

Mr. Bossie went on to say that the DEMOCRATS and their slimy liberal allies are now very busy at work trying to go about the creating of a 28th Amendment specifically designed to abolish the First Amendment. “They want to create a 28th Amendment to overturn the First Amendment,” he said. “That’s really what the essence of this discussion here is today.” He said that DEMOCRATS do not seem to understand what the Supreme Court ruled in his case, explaining that it was the controversial McCain-Feingold campaign finance law that was the problem, not the Court’s decision. But I think these scumbag DEMOCRATS understand things just fine. I remember quite well when Barry "Almighty" essentially "bitch-slapped" the Court during his 2010 State of the Union address. A most un-presidential bit of behavior from Barry, but one that should have come as a surprise to no one. And one that drew an obvious response from Justice Alito.

“I find that these folks really don’t understand the essence of the problem, they don’t understand that their biggest mistake was passing McCain-Feingold,” Bossie said in the interview. “That was their mistake. The mistake isn’t the Supreme Court correcting their error, the error was is passing McCain-Feingold, passing unconstitutional legislation in the dark of night that the American people don’t understand.” Personally I would argue that it's not really about what they do or don't understand, it' about they're consistently looking for ways to silence any and all opposition under the guise of improving the system. McCain-Feingold, set limits on when organizations could run ads and even “criminalized” political speech. He said it also created an unfair environment by exempting media organizations from its restrictions. Media organizations, by the way, which serve as nothing more than the propaganda arm of the DEMOCRAT Party.

And then of course over in the House we have that perennial nut job, old Nancy "Stretch" Pelosi, DEMOCRAT, who on Thursday endorsed the movement announced by her fellow sleazy DEMOCRATS to ratify an amendment to the U.S. Constitution that would allow Congress to "regulate" political speech when it is engaged in by corporations as opposed to individuals. Sorry, but I just don’t think we should allow Congress to "regulate" our speech, political or otherwise. The First Amendment says in part: "Congress shall make no law ...abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press..." Television and radio networks, newspapers, publishing houses, movie studios and think tanks, as well as political action committees, are usually organized as, or elements of, corporations. So you can very plainly see here, that once again, the potential exists for this to be much more far reaching than devious old Nancy would have any of us believe.

Pelosi said the DEMOCRATS' effort to amend the Constitution is part of a three-pronged strategy (read attack) that also includes promoting the DISCLOSE Act, which she claims would increase disclosure requirements for organizations running political ads, and “reducing the role of money in campaigns”. Gee, where have we heard that before? The constitutional amendment that the DEMOCRATS seek to devise here would effectively reverse the Supreme Court’s 2010 decision in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission. In that decision the court said that the First Amendment protects a right of free speech for corporations as well as for individuals, and that corporations (including those that produce newspapers, films and books) have a right to speak about politicians and their records just as individuals do. And for DEMOCRATS there in lies the rub. The DEMOCRATS are rather selective when it comes to determining just who it is that gets to critique politicians and at which politicians such critiques can be directed.

So in attendance at Wednesday’s little socialist gathering, we had a number congressional DEMOCRATS being joined by representatives from a couple of George Soros front groups, People for the American Way and Common Cause. They joined in declaring their dedication to enacting a constitutional amendment to restrict speech by corporations. I suppose it should come as no surprise that Rep. Jim McGovern, DEMOCRAT, and yet another moron from Massachusetts, is one of the members sponsoring an amendment. “I've introduced a People's Rights Amendment, which is very simple and straightforward,” Rep. Jim McGovern said. “It would make clear that all corporate entities, for-profit and non-profit alike, are not people with constitutional rights. “It treats all corporations, including incorporated unions and nonprofits, in the same way, as artificial creatures of the state that we, the people, govern, not the other way around,” said douche bag McGovern.

And in doing her best to provide her own rationale for what's being attempted here, Rep. Donna Edwards, DEMOCRAT, explained the basic principle this move to amend the Constitution is advancing. “In Citizens United, what the court said is that Congress has no authority to regulate this kind of political speech,” said Edwards. “And so all of these constitutional amendments go to this question of giving Congress the authority that the Supreme Court, I think wrongly, decided isn't within Congress's constitutional--our constitutional purview. “And so, you know, the traditional rights of free speech that we have known as citizens would not be disturbed by any of these constitutional amendments,” said Edwards. “But what it would do is it would say, all of the speech in which, whether it's corporations or campaign committees and others engage in, would be able to be fully regulated under the authority of the Congress and--and under our Constitution."

So look, I think it very safe to assume that this is just a very small sample of the type of crap that we are very likely to see should Barry "Almighty" get re-elected. Can you possibly imagine a Barry "Almighty" completely off the chain and acting as somebody who hasn't got to worry about getting reelected? I have never been in more fear for my country than I am today. And the fact that literally millions of Americans seem to be perfectly willing to give up their freedom in exchange for a government check absolutely terrifies me. And it's just not their own freedom that they are choosing to sacrifice here, it's the freedom of every single citizen of this great country. And if Barry is reelected it will be because of these parasitic malcontents who decided to put their own selfish "needs" above the survival of our country and our ability to continue being the freest and most prosperous nation on the planet. Their laziness, greed and complete unwillingness to pay their "fair share" will be what could very well bring about the end of us.
