I hate to sound like a broken record here, I really do, but I get so damn tired of being thought of as being simply to stupid to see what’s going on here. Barry continues to insist upon saying, over and over again, that the fact that he was re-elected is proof that the American people want taxes raised on the wealth. And he said so yet again today in his stupid weekly address. And, as always, he also took time to mention that, of course, those higher taxes of his would be combined with spending cuts in an effort to reduce the deficit. HIS DEFICIT! Now I think most of us are smart enough, well at least those of us who voted for Romney, to recognize the fact that those supposed ‘spending cuts’ very rarely amount to anything other than window dressing. Unless, of course, they’re cuts designed to further weaken our military.
So we heard our newly re-elected Liar-in-Chief harp on that yet again, as he said, "As I said over and over again on the campaign trail, we can’t just cut our way to prosperity. If we’re serious about reducing the deficit, we have to combine spending cuts with revenue – and that means asking the wealthiest Americans to pay a little more in taxes." He added, "I’m open to compromise and new ideas, but I refuse to accept any approach that isn’t balanced. I will not ask students or seniors or middle-class families to pay down the entire deficit while people making over $250,000 a year aren’t asked to pay a dime more in taxes. This was a central question in the election. And on Tuesday, we found out that the majority of Americans agree with my approach – Democrats, independents, and some Republicans." BULLSHIT! We heard no such thing!
What we heard on Tuesday was how a majority of Americans don’t give a squat about what they’re leaving behind for their kids. Anyway, Barry again seemed to go out of his way and called on Congress to first extend middle-class tax cuts while working on a larger deficit reduction plan. "It’s a step that would give millions of families and 97 percent of small businesses peace of mind that will lead to new jobs and faster growth," he said. "There’s no reason to wait." Noting that there will be "differences and disagreements in the months to come," Americans on Tuesday "said loud and clear that you won’t tolerate dysfunction, or politicians who see compromise as a dirty word." I wouldn’t go so far as to say that. I think what they said is that they simply want their free stuff to keep coming no matter what.
"You want cooperation," Barry said of the American people. "You want action. That’s what I plan to deliver in my second term, and I expect to find leaders from both parties willing to join me." Let’s be honest here, shall we, even if Barry has no intention of doing so. As much as this dishonest creep would love nothing better than to portray the Republicans as being the bad guys here, it’s the Democrats, most notably those in the Senate under the less than stellar leadership of that boob, ‘Dingy’ Harry Reid, who are the ones who absolutely refuse to compromise. Also as I have said before, the Democrats have a rather odd definition for compromise. You see, to them it’s the equivalent of surrender and as being where the Republican must agree to all of the demands being made upon them while getting absolutely nothing in return.
