BOB “THE TOAD” BECKEL ISN’T TOO HAPPY WITH REP. ALLEN WEST…

Bob "The Toad" Beckel, who bears an uncanny resemblance to “Jabba the Hut” of “Star Wars” fame, appears to be none too happy with Rep. Allen West (R-FL) these days. Maybe it's because what Mr. West said might possibly have hit just a little too close to the truth. And we know how liberals hate the truth. I'm sure we've all seen old Jabba, I mean Bob, out there promoting the Democrat Party line whenever provided with an opportunity. He appears frequently on the Fox News channel these days, as a regular on something called “The Five,” and appearing way too often on Sean Hannity’s show as part of Sean's Great, Great American Panel. Something I'm confused by is that Jabba, sorry, I mean Bob, never really does anything more than to spew the standard talking points. I written here about Mr. West's comments with which Bob seemed to take exception to. What Mr. West said was, “This is a battlefield that we must stand upon. And we need to let President Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and my dear friend, chairman of the Democrat National Committee, we need to let them know that Florida ain’t on the table.” He made the comments last Saturday during a speech given at a Lincoln Day Dinner in West Palm Beach, Florida. Rep. West went on to say that Democratic leaders should take their message of “economic dependency” and “get the hell out of the United States of America.” All he did was to tell it like it is, and I was in complete agreement. He was spot on. These sleazy Democrats are on a mission and it is to destroy our country. They hate America and everything it stands for, far from being re-elected they should be run out of town on a rail!

But apparently, Rep. West's comments proved to be a bit too much for old Bob. Expressing his obvious displeasure on "The Five," Beckel said, “I’m going to try to be as calm here as I possibly can here in deference to my friends here at this table.” Then behaving in typical fashion, he proceeded into what can only be described as your typical liberal tirade. Doing his best to sound shocked and offended, Beckel said, “In my 30 years of politics, I have never heard anything more disgraceful in my life. I think that Allen West owes an apology to a lot of people. He’s lucky to have that seat in the first place. I’ll tell you this, Mr. West; When you start shooting your mouth off like that – and I admire the fact that you were in the military and you served your country. I understand that.” He went on, “But before you start saying that, at the end of it, you said ‘Get the hell out of the United States,’ then you didn’t say the policies. Now, there’s 20 percent of us or 22 percent of us that happen to be Progressives, who believe in what Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi say. You go on to say 100 percent of America. We’re 20 percent of America and we’re not going anywhere whether you like it or not,” Beckel then added, “And you better be careful, my friend, because you’re getting on the edge there and you’re taking that Tea Party crowd with you,” wagging his finger at an imaginary Rep. West. Hey, wait a minute, I thought Jesse "The Extortionist" Jackson said that that was supposed to be the "ultimate insult." Whoops that's right, that's only when a Republican does it. I thought it was rather telling when Beckel admitted that he actually believes the never-ending stream of lies that spring forth from Dingy and Stretch on nearly a daily basis.

It was Greg Gutfeld, co-host of this odd assortment of characters referred to as "The Five'" who actually argued that Beckel’s righteous indignation was more than just a little misplaced. “During the break, I made a list of outspoken black liberals,” Gutfeld said, “Al Sharpton, Louis Farrakhan, Black Panthers, Jesse Jackson, Angela Davis, Cornel West, Public Enemy, Eric Dyson!” “In our culture,” Gutfeld continued, “We celebrate outspoken black leftists. So, now you have one, provocative, American, black conservative, and you liberals whine? I wanna’ see more Allen West. He’s not the first one, but he’s the beginning. And it’s refreshing–” And then like any good liberal when not liking what they're hearing, Beckel butted in saying, “You wanna’ see more of that hatred? You wanna’ see that kind of hatred in America?” “That’s not hatred,” Gutfeld shot back. “It’s is hatred,” Beckel interrupted again, “It’s the worst most disgraceful, despicable, disgusting—“ Liberals like this fat slob Beckel have rather interesting definition for what qualifies as hate. They possess a rather skewed perception of things in that they must always be allowed to say whatever it is that they want, no matter how vile, but those on the right must be forever silenced. Beckel is nothing more than your very typical liberal hypocrite. “I just listed for you a dozen, black liberals who spoke in very extreme language in the last 20, 30 years,” Gutfeld said, putting an abrupt end to Beckel’s brief experiment with alliteration. Later in the segment, as Beckel was trying to explain that Rep. West represents an extreme element in the Republican Party. Again with this "extreme" nonsense. Liberals' favorite way to describe anyone who chooses to disagree with them.

Ok, now I'm gonna need a little help here with something. What I need is for somebody, anybody, to please remind me again of what exactly this moron's claim to fame is supposed to be. I mean I've racked by brain and the only thing that I can come up with, that he's ever done, was way back in 1984 when he managed the presidential campaign of Walter Mondull. And if I remember things correctly, he did such a masterful job at that, that the only state Mondull ended up winning was his home state of Minnesota. So is that what it takes, these days, to get one's name put on a Who's Who list of those involved in American politics? Must be. And I'm also a little confused regarding what it is that makes him think that he is somebody who should be listened to and is someone whose opinion matters when discussing the seriousness of our present economic situation. Why, exactly, should anybody be the least bit interested in anything this hack has to say? About anything! Like every other liberal out there he does his best to portray fiction as being fact and is great at repeating the Democrat Party talking points ad nauseam until you just want to scream. And it annoys me no end that this fat slob always seems to have a constant smirk on his face which would indicate to me that he thinks it's all some kind of joke that our country is now very firmly stuck in the toilet and it was those whom he says he believes in that are the very ones responsible. And apparently his remedy for our current predicament is for us to provide to the same ones who got us here even more power to "fix" that which they brought about. Now what sense does that make?

PERHAPS A LITTLE PAYBACK FOR BEING SO OUTSPOKEN?

Maybe a better title for this post would be "Why is Allen West getting screwed by the GOP?" I ask because it was while listening to Rush Limbaugh today that I heard something that caught me completely by surprise and was something that, frankly, I just couldn't believe. What Rush was talking about was the fact that the congressional redistricting plan for here in Florida, and that is currently under review, would eliminate the congressional district of Rep. Allen West. Now I have been a big fan of Rep. West since day one. I found his frankness and his honest talk very refreshing to say the least. But it seems that it might now be because of those are the very same "qualities" having brought so much attention to him, that the GOP powers at be, may now be on a mission, of sorts, where if they can't silence him then they'll simply make him go away. The plan is to simply eliminate his congressional district. Either I haven't be paying sufficient attention, or this was whole plot was kept well under my radar, but I gotta tell you, I'm pissed!

So here we are at a time when, as a result of the 2010 census, Florida will pick up two additional House seats, so why is that anyone's district is in need of being eliminated, least of all Mr. West's. It seems to me that if we need to get rid of anyone's district how about we start with the snake-shaped district of Corrine Brown's? That loud-mouthed, pain in the ass has been a constant embarrassment for Florida ever since she first won election. But nope, instead it has been somebody’s bright idea that because we have an outspoken black conservative with a high national profile, his reward is to now have a rather substantial sized national target painted on his back going in to 2012. Like I said, as part of reapportionment which is a result of the 2010 census, Florida gained 2 Congressional seats. Despite that, it appears that the Republican-controlled Florida legislature seems to have somehow managed to make Allen West’s seat much more difficult, if not impossible, to defend.

Via Shark Tank:

"Over the past several weeks, many Republicans have voiced their disappointment towards the Republican legislature after the release of the preliminary redistricting maps. Much of the ire concerns the proposed boundaries of Congressman Allen West’s 22nd Congressional District that would be redrawn to include far more registered Democrats/
West’s congressional district inexplicably sheds the most out support as compared to all other incumbent Republican and Democrat Congressman. A few weeks back we quoted an unnamed legislator saying that, “Allen West was screwed”, a statement which was originally made about made five months before the purposed maps were made public, leading insiders to believe that the fix was in against Allen West. But in light of Weatherford’s comment, it is increasingly clear that this is a fait accompli.
According to Weatherford, those preliminary maps will not change- at the most, any additional changes would be minimal, and those changes would not make any appreciable difference from the preliminary maps. In addition, Weatherford stated that a deal was struck between him, Senate President Mike Haridopolos, and Senator Don Gaetz to finalize these maps and push them through as soon as possible. Weatherford also said that the proposed maps are in legal compliance with both the Voting Rights Act and Amendment 6.
So based on Weatherford’s comments, the 22nd Congressional District is now very much in play for the Democrat Party, and West is at an even larger disadvantage than he was previously- it will be a very difficult and expensive seat for Republicans to defend."

Ya know, this is just one more example of all that is wrong with the Republican Party and gives us a very clear indication what it's apparent priorities are. And it would seem that it is to make it extremely difficult, if not impossible, for conservatives voices to be heard in Washington. Rush also made mention of the fact that the man behind this scheme is someone with very strong ties to GOP candidate Mitt Romney. Now I have not yet had the opportunity to validate that information, but Rush is usually right about such things. And that may impact how I choose to vote in the primary. So while at one point I was planning on voting for Romney in tomorrow's primary, I'm beginning to question the wisdom of that decision. Anyway, the Florida Senate passed their plan on January 17th and the Florida House passed theirs on last Friday. I am not really sure what, if any, distinctions exist between the plans with respect to Rep. West’s district. At this point the maps will be subjected to legal review for compliance with the Voting Rights Act and Amendment 6.

So if you're like me in that you live here in Florida and are as big a fan of Rep. Allen West as I am, I would ask that you contact your state Representative and Senator to let them know, and in very clear terms, exactly how you feel about any action that would harm Rep West's chances of gaining re-election. And who knows it may already be too late, and if it is, then shame on them. I've contacted those who are supposed to be representing me and let them know that my vote is now up for grabs. And I am concerned about just how far up the food chain this goes. Getting rid of one of the most high profile Tea Party Congressmen could be a directive coming all the way down from Washington. Nothing would surprise me at this point. He is a smart and articulate conservative who has apparently become public enemy number one to the Republican establishment. This is something that we cannot allow to happen. We need more voices like Rep. West's not less. He is the perfect example of what we should be looking for in selecting those we wish to represent us in Washington.

JESSE "THE EXTORTIONIST" JACKSON JUMPS ON THE BASH GOV. BREWER BANDWAGON...

Well, it seems that the other of our two favo-right faux preachers, Jesse “The Extortionist” Jackson has now seen fit to weigh in on the recent little exchange that took place between Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer had with Barry “Almighty” on that Arizona tarmac. In his discussing of the event, Jackson actually went so far as to call Brewer’s finger pointing gesture “the ultimate insult.” Is that not the most hilarious thing you've ever heard? Jackson's scolding of the governor came while speaking at the headquarters of his little money laundering racket, fondly referred to as the Rainbow PUSH Coalition. He even gave out the 800-number to Brewer’s office and urged all who may call to say, “We don’t need her finger,” at least according to a Chicago Sun-Times. Well on that point I guess I have to agree with old Jesse. Because what both he, and any of the little band of misfits who would take it upon themselves to follow Jackson's advice are really in need of, is a big foot up their collective ass.

Jackson is never one to be the least bit shy about calling into question any behavior of Republicans, that can in anyway be perceived as possibly being racist. So to hear him demand that the Republican governor actually apologize for what he called her disgraceful behavior, and to “put her hands in her pocket,” should come as no surprise. Speaking to those who were gathered he asked, “Do you know how insulting it is to put your finger in somebody’s face? Try it with the cameras rolling — she knew the cameras. She knew what she was doing,” Jackson whined. “She was telling him off. She was cutting him down to his size. She must never get away with that.” Get away with what, standing up for herself? Jackson added, “Even George Wallace did not put his finger in Dr. King’s face.” Maybe someone should tell old Jesse that if Barry hadn’t wanted a finger poked in his smug face, maybe he should stop behaving like the arrogant asshole that he is. Just a thought.

Oh but Jackson was far from being done, as he went on to say, “It’s time to fight back, it’s time to stand up. Come November, we’ll point our finger [at the voting booths]. Point your finger, tell Ms. Brewer, ‘Keep your finger in your pocket.’” What a crock! I think old Jesse gives himself way too much credit regarding his power to persuade. Now granted, Old Jesse may still have some sway over a devoted, and sizable, following among those looking to get as much "free" stuff from the government as they can, so he can always count on those who form the parasite class to continue to buy into his tripe. But beyond that unique little segment of our society, I think his audience is shrinking. People have seen how he has extorted businesses over the years and how he has managed to make himself quite rich doing so. He continues to take advantage of those whom he so adamantly claims to defend. Far from it, they actually a resource which Jackson only exploits to enrich himself.

And as has been endlessly discussed, and that we should all know about by now, the event that seems to have Jesse's feathers a little ruffled involves the "meeting between Gov. Brewer and Barry after his plane landed in Arizona. She said she handed the president a handwritten letter, the two spoke and at one point she pointed her finger at him. “He was a little disturbed about my book, ‘Scorpions for Breakfast,’” Brewer told a reporter after the incident, adding that Barry felt she hadn’t “treated him cordially.” In an interview with Diane Sawyer, Barry, of course, denied the encounter with Brewer was “tense.” He said, “I think it’s always good publicity for a Republican if they’re in an argument with me.” Adding, “But this was really not a big deal. She wanted to give me a letter, asking for a meeting. And I said, ‘We’d be happy to meet.’ When given option of whom to believe, Barry or anybody else, I'll always go with anyone else, since we know Barry will lie about anything.

This is always the way it is with these race-baiting clowns like Jackson and Sharpton. The very plain fact of the matter is that if anyone's behavior needs to be called into question, it is the continuing despicable behavior of these two supposed men of God, who go around preaching nothing but the most vile form of hate, and for no other reason than for their own personal gain. They always feel compelled to inject racism into areas or events, where none exists, all in an attempt to provide, for themselves, some level of relevance. Their corrosive and toxic rhetoric really serves no useful purpose other than to line their own pockets with plenty of ill gotten gain. They cheerfully seize upon any opportunity that they see as affording them even the slightest opportunity to cry racism. They are society's slime and they are insidious in the way they go about working to divide people along racial lines and actually work to foment racial hatred. They are bigots of a most destructive order.

ALLEN WEST HAS TOUGH WORDS FOR DEMOCRATS…

One of my favorite members of Congress, Rep. Allen West, who just happens to come from Florida, had a strong message Saturday for President Barack Obama, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz: “Get the hell out.” A sentiment that I wholeheartedly agree with! West made the comments during a speech at a Palm Beach County GOP event in West Palm Beach

Using language that it would great if we were to be hearing it from any of our presidential candidates, Rep. West said, “This is a battlefield that we must stand upon. And we need to let President Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and my dear friend, chairman of the Democrat National Committee, we need to let them know that Florida ain’t on the table,” West said. By the time he got to the mentioning of old “Stretch” Pelosi’s name the audience was booing.

But he wasn’t quite done adding, “Take your message of equality of achievement, take your message of economic dependency, take your message of enslaving the entrepreneurial will and spirit of the American people somewhere else,” he continued. “You can take it to Europe, you can take it to the bottom of the sea, you can take it to the North Pole, but get the hell out of the United States of America.” As the audience cheered and many rose to their feet, West added, “Yeah I said ‘hell.’”

“This is not about 1 percent or 99 percent. This is about 100 percent. It’s about 100 percent America. And I will not stand back and watch anyone defame, degrade or destroy that which my father fought for, my older brother, my father-in-law, myself, my nephew and all my friend still in uniform,” he said. “I will not allow President Obama to take the United States of America and destroy it. If that means I’m the No. 1 target for the Democrat Party, all I got to say is one thing: Bring it on, baby.”

EVERY TIME BIDEN OPENS HIS MOUTH, GARBAGE FALLS OUT…

“Slow Joe” Biden has made it clear that the Democrats will once again work to perpetuate all manner of falsehood as Team Obama’s continues its efforts to distract attention away from what can only be described as horrendous record. They have already done their best to implement the tried and true tactic that Democrats have had some level of success using for decades. What they do, or try do, is to, with the assistance of their many minions in the state-controlled media, take something that they know is factually incorrect, i.e., a lie, and repeat as often as possible as if it were true. They continue until a significant number of morons in the general public finally come to accept the Democrat lie as being true and factual. Whatever level of success this scenario is allowed to achieve depends entirely on whether the American people believe what they’re being told or see it for the lie that it is. The fact that a near majority of the American people are simply too lazy to validate what they’re being told, only serves to increase the odds of success for the Democrats.

This game plan was once again been implemented as recently as this past Friday when we heard our joke of a vice president, “Slow Joe” Biden actually make one of the most idiotic claims yet made in this election season. What he did was to say that the biggest difference between Democrats and Republicans is the fact that Democrats strongly support the “private sector” while the Republicans support the “privileged sector.” “The big difference between us and them, I think, can be distilled to a phrase. The difference between us and them is, we are strongly supportive of the private sector. They’re strongly supportive of the privileged sector,” Biden said, speaking at the House Democratic retreat in Cambridge, Md. This is probably one of the best examples to date of the Orwellian type of language utilized by Democrats. Deceptive old gas bags like “Slow Joe” consistently try to portray Republicans as doing that which the Democrats are guilty of doing. And it is that our GOP candidates need to focus more on.

In attempting to further the fictional account that he was so determined to present as fact regarding what he sees as being underway in this country, “Slow Joe” went on to say. “I think …what we will be able to show and Americans will be able to figure out: that we’re committed to bring back the private sector, because we know that’s the engine. We don’t create jobs. We create opportunities for people to create jobs,” he added. “They create jobs – the private sector – and we’re committed to bring it back. And I think they’re determined… to preserve the privileged sector, because again I think they really believe that what I would refer to as the privileged sector – Wall Street unabridged, the super wealthy who are not prepared to contribute,” “Slow Joe” said. It’s like being in the “Twilight Zone,” or something. Barry “Almighty” has not done one thing in the last three years that gives any credence to what “Slow Joe” said. What they have repeated done is to provide example after example of just how determined they are to exterminate the private sector and with it, the middle class.

AN ARROGANT OBAMA DENIES 'TIFF' WITH ARIZONA GOVERNOR TOOK PLACE…

In an effort to brush aside any impression that there may exist any "tension" between himself and Gov. Jan Brewer, Barry, in an "exclusive" interview on Wednesday that he provided to ABC, a certified member of the state-controlled media, very calmly denied that nothing occurred between himself and AZ Gov. Jan Brewer, that could even remotely be described as being a “tense exchange." Sorry, but knowing as I do the trouble that Barry has with being able to tell the truth, about anything, and that he has demonstrated on any number of occasions the fact that he is notoriously thin skinned, I am much more apt to believe the governor's account of what transpired, over Barry's. There was also a lame attempt by Barry to blame the governor for all of the attention the "meeting" has received by accusing her of manufacturing the entire episode as a way for her to generate sales for her book. So has this become the new standard of behavior and something that we can now come to expect from future presidents? Or, is this simply one more example of Barry's Chicago style of doing business and the demonstrating of just how one deals with those with whom one differs politically.

In offering up his side of the story here, Barry, as usual, demonstrated his unique brand of arrogance while also adding just the right amount condescension, as he explained thing to ABC News’ resident airhead, Diane Sawyer Thursday night. Barry said, “I’m usually accused of not being intense enough, right,” laughing. Adding, “Too relaxed.” And, apparently, feeling the need to take things one step further in reinforcing his point, he went on to say, “I think it’s always good publicity for a Republican if they’re in an argument with me,” Barry said of their most recent meeting between himself and the governor. “But this was really not a big deal. She wanted to give me a letter, asking for a meeting. And I said, ‘We’d be happy to meet.’ This guy is such a pathetic sleaze ball. He's just so petty and juvenile, and he thinks he's being just oh so clever. It would seem that our Dear Beloved Leader continues to suffer from some affliction, the result of which creates in him an overinflated sense of importance which he must feel entitles him to behave childishly but also affords to him the luxury of then being able to explain away any such behavior, claiming that it simply never happened.

Ya know, that our Dear Beloved Leader continues to operate under the premise, misguided as it may be, that just because he goes on television and very smugly denies that the scenario was anything other than what "he" says it was, and implies that it was conjured up in the very fertile imagination of the governor as a way to sell more books, is more than a little disturbing. Equally disturbing is the fact that he even felt it was in any way appropriate for him to create the perception that he was attempting to intimidate a governor of a state. And what should have actually taken place in that interview with Ms. "Dim Bulb" Sawyer was an apology to Gov. Brewer for having put her in what she felt was a very uncomfortable, even threatening, position. But that is far from being something we could ever expect to hear come from an individual possessing the very limited amount of character as does Barry "Almighty." We know beyond the shadow of any doubt that Barry is the quintessential serial liar, but his recent behavior on the tarmac in Arizona might also indicate something a little more sinister might be lying just beneath the surface. Perhaps Barry might be just a bit psychotic as well.

ANOTHER TAXPAYER SUBSIDIZED "GREEN" COMPANY GOES BELLY UP...

“The company, Ener1, received a $118 million grant from DOE [Department of Energy] in 2010 as part of the president’s stimulus package,” writes the Heritage Foundation’s Lachlan Markay. “The money, which went to Ener1 subsidiary EnerDel, aimed to promote renewable energy storage battery technology for electrical grid use.”
Yesterday, Ener1 announced it was filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

OLD REV. AL, THE MAN WHO KNEW TOO LITTLE...

If there is one thing that you can always count on in life, it's that you can always count on someone being out there able to prove just how stupid a human being can be. And so it is then that every time I think that I've heard the stupidest thing anyone could ever utter, along comes someone like that faux preacher and proverbial nut job, Al "I ain't got the brains of an ice cube" Sharpton to once again prove me wrong. Watching the video of a recent, and rather strange, exchange that took place on his ratings giant of a television show, where else but, on MSNBC, was like having a tooth pulled without anesthetic. In the video we see old Al doing his best as he tried to corner a Kansas congressman on “fair” tax rates. But Rep. Tim Huelskamp, a Tea Party Republican, was having none of it. Al ranted, “Is it fair that billionaires pay a lower tax rate than their secretaries?” To which Rep. Huelskamp very coolly responded, “They actually don’t, according to the IRS.” He went on to say, “The effective tax rate of these millionaires and billionaires is more than most secretaries unless they’re exceptionally high paid — 48 percent of all Americans don’t pay any income taxes right now, Reverend Al, and you do know that and the president knows that.” It was right about then that old Al seemed to slip a cog.

Old Al, sounding like a broken record, proceeded to go nearly apoplectic, shouting as he repeatedly asked, “Is it fair? Is it fair? One of your candidates for president, Willard Mitt Romney, reported himself that he paid around 14 percent in taxes. The average middle class American — Warren Buffett’s secretary pays 30 percent about. Is that fair?” And again sounding like the only sane guy in the room, Mr. Huelskamp responded, “Reverend Al, the average American doesn’t pay 30 percent in income taxes.” But Al was not to be dissuaded from trying to make his pathetic point, cutting Mr. Huelskamp off in mid thought to ask again,” — Is it fair??” To which Huelskamp again responded, “It’s not true, Al.” “Is it fair? Is it fair? Is [sic] those statistics that I reported that they’re saying are true, is it fair?” Sharpton asked. “It’s not true according to the IRS,” Huelskamp said. “Oh so you won‘t answer whether it’s fair,” Sharpton said. “You’re trying to argue — on the basis of the report, if the report is inaccurate, fine, you stipulate that. I’m asking you, is it fair? is the arrangement fair?” Sharpton, as always, came across looking like a raving lunatic, which is only fitting. It would have been funny if it hadn't been a discussion on such a serious topic.

Anyway, the two continued in that vein, with Sharpton continuing to try to make his idiotic point that the GOP won’t even “discuss in fairness” while Huelskamp repeatedly shot down the entire premise of Sharpton's stupid, half-baked argument. Then, switching to a different tactic, Sharpton proceeded to ask how constituents in Huelskamp’s district would feel knowing that Romney, “who makes more a day than they do a year,” pays a lower tax rate. “Does that concern you as their congressman?” Sharpton asked. Mr.Huelskamp responded very matter-of-factly saying, “Most Kansans I talk to aren’t concerned and worried about what the guy down the road makes, they’d like to keep their own job. They’d like to make a living themselves,” Huelskamp said. But again old Al cut in, ” — but they’d also like to be paying a fair rate, wouldn’t you think that, or you think they don’t care?” “Well there are plenty who’d like to punish others, but that’s not the typical American dream,” Huelskamp said. “How is that punishing others?” Sharpton interrupted. “So let me get this right: For billionaires and millionaires to pay at the same rate as everyone else is a punishment?” Have you ever heard a more insane argument in your life?

With that, Al returned to his previous argument, with Huelskamp repeating that 48 percent of all Americans pay no income taxes and Sharpton continuing to bring up Romney’s tax returns. “Mr. Romney released this himself, congressman. He’s paying 14 percent…you know people in your district are paying a higher rate and you can‘t even say whether that’s fair or not. That’s the problem in America,” Sharpton said. “Fairness in America is not the end result, it’s not the end result, it’s the opportunity. And everybody in America today has the opportunity to get ahead,” Huelskamp said. “I think you‘re absolutely right and I think the only way we’re going to get ahead is we at least have to agree on fairness,” Sharpton said. As Sharpton began to close the segment out, Huelskamp chose to pose one last question: “What is your income a year, Reverend Al?” “My income, I’ll tell you my tax rate,” Sharpton sputtered. “My tax rate is the same percentage as the average person in your district.” “What’s your income?” Huelskamp tried again, to no avail. “What’s your income, Reverend Al? Tell us your income!” Now I'm pretty sure Rep. Huelskamp wasn't really expecting an answer from old Al, but it sure was fun to watch him ask.

This entire exchange very clearly demonstrates the blatant hypocrisy possessed by those who inhabit the left, bozos like Sharpton. If I'd been Rep. Huelskamp I'd have been pulling my damn hair out. But you gotta give it to him, he never lost his cool and when dealing with an imbecile like Sharpton, that can be extremely difficult to do. And I absolutely loved how he turned the tables on old Al. It was perfect. This little demonstration of insanity by Al reveals to what extent those on the left are willing to go in their effort to destroy this country. And sadly, there are a significant number of people who agree with these class warriors like Al "Bull Horn" Sharpton. This is where we are at today in this country. We have folks like Rep. Huelskamps going up against loons like Sharpton on the left. And unfortunately, at this point in time it would appear that the loons may be winning. Which doesn't bode well for the survival of our nation as it presently exists. That's why this next election is so absolutely crucial. The sane ones among us will have to work very diligently to stem the tide of growing leftwing lunacy in this country. If Barry "Almighty" gets reelected, we're toast. It'll be all over but the cryin, turn out the lights, the party's over, Hasta-la-vista baby and adios motherf*#ker all rolled into one!

JUST HOW BIG OF A MORON IS THAT PATHETIC DWEEB, BILL MAHER?

Why anybody continues to describe this boob as a comedian is beyond me. Because I have yet to see anyone who is anymore less funny than he is. Maher has never been one to candy-coat his feelings, he sees it as an easy way to get his name mentioned. You know, any publicity is better than no publicity, especially for a waste of skin like Maher. In fact, as we have seen on any number of occasions, he very often seems to go out of his way to make offensive remarks, excusing his pathetic behavior by saying it's his "job" to push the envelope. Maher is one of those people who, like Jon Leibowitz, view themselves as being some sort of social commentator out there commenting on all manner of perceived social injustices, real or imagined. And where none exist, guys like Maher just make some up.

Last night, which was Wednesday, Maher moved away from the most recent target of his crass and rather crude remarks, Tim Tebow, after apparently deciding to set his sights on some tempting new targets. It was while doing an interview with CNN’s Andy Cooper 180, that Maher proceeded to slam GOP presidential candidates, praise Barry "Almighty" and make a rather curious quip about Mormonism. Perhaps his most offensive comment was the dig about Mormonism that Maher slipped into his imbecilic little diatribe when discussing the upcoming general election. After proclaiming that he believes Romney will get the nomination, he went on to day, “…then I think Obama’s going to beat him like a runaway sister-wife.” This is one more example of the typical juvenile behavior that Maher is known for.

Now as you may or may not be aware, there's a popular television show on TLC called “Sister Wives.” Personally I don't get the whole concept of this but apparently there are others who do. Anyway, the program, which documents a polygamous family’s lifestyle, has proven to be controversial to say the least. And frankly, I'm sure what demographic out there this show is aimed at. Anyway, Maher’s mention, which is particularly striking considering that polygamy is forbidden by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, seemed to be an obvious dig at Romney’s faith. As he delivered what was described as a "joke," Andy Cooper could be heard laughing nervously and saying ”Oh geez.” Look Andy, you know what this guy is and things that je's likely to say, that's why you had him on as a guest.

But Maher wasn't done just yet. He proceed to launch into a rant, saying that the Republican candidates live in a “bubble of irreality” and that Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum and Romney “make Obama look pretty good.” Maybe pretty good to morons like him. These candidates, he says, make him “run back into [Obama's] arms screaming.” Maher also went on to voice his agreement with some regarding candidate Ron Paul’s policies: “Ron Paul has some crazy ideas — like getting rid of the Fed…what he said about healthcare — we should just go back to neighbors helping out — just looney. But when it comes to things like the drug war and foreign policy, this guy is so great.” Of course Maher has it just backwards, with it coming as no surprise that he would be in favor of Paul's stance on drugs. Typical!

IT'S OFFICIAL, FIDEL CASTRO JOINS "TEAM OBAMA"...

An American presidential election can make for some pretty strange bedfellows. Apparently Barry has a new ally as we march toward the November election. And, I suppose, it should come as no surprise that this ally comes to Barry in the person of fellow socialist, Fidel Castro. You see according to AP and Glenn Beck's website, THE BLAZE, old Fidel has come out and lambasted the Republican presidential race, calling it "the greatest competition of “idiocy and ignorance” the world has ever seen." Don't sugar coat it Fidel, tell us how you really feel. His "opinion" came by way of a column published by Cuba's official state-controlled media just two days after Republican presidential hopefuls while at a recent debate in Florida presented some pretty hard-line stances on what to do about the Communist-run island. Barry's Caribbean buddy also took a few pot shots at the news media and numerous foreign governments for seizing on the death of a Cuban prisoner in order to demand greater respect for human rights. But I thought liberals claim that Cuba is a utopian success story.

It's pretty common knowledge, or should be, that the issue of Cuba is becoming increasingly important as the candidates continue to court Florida’s influential Cuban-American community in an effort to win the biggest electoral prize yet in this primary season. And being ever the political genius, having faced so many elections himself, old Fidel said he that he always assumed the candidates would eventually try to outdo each other on the issue of Cuba, but that he was nonetheless appalled by the level of debate. Spewing his typical drivel, the "retired" Cuban leader wrote, “The selection of a Republican candidate for the presidency of this globalized and expansive empire is – and I mean this seriously – the greatest competition of idiocy and ignorance that has ever been.” Fidel also took issue with numerous international media accounts regarding the January 19 death of Wilman Villar, a 31-year-old Cuban prisoner, saying the man was not a dissident and not on a 50-day hunger strike as human rights groups and the island’s opposition claim. Well, enough said on that issue, after all Fidel wouldn't lie to us.

Castro reiterated the government’s contention that Villar was nothing more than a common criminal sent to prison for domestic violence, and that he received the "best medical attention" possible. And why do we know that to be true? Well, wasn't it Michael Moore, who said that the United States needed use the healthcare system as the model for our own system here at home? Washington and several European governments have condemned Cuba for his death, and Amnesty International says it was about to put Villar on a global list of prisoners of conscience. Villar has become a cause celebre for opponents of the Cuban government, but he was not a well known figure, even among island dissidents, before his death. Republican candidate Mitt Romney said during Monday’s debate that Villar died “fighting for democracy” and that his death highlighted the need to remain firm on Cuba. Washington has maintained a near-50-year trade and travel embargo on Cuba. But any number of liberal Hollywood loon have made the pilgrimage to pay homage to the great Fidel Castro.

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, has gone so far as to say that he would authorize increased covert operations to bring down the Cuban government. Now while am no fan of the Cuban dictator, I think for Gingrich to make such a proclamation comes across as being just what it is, an obvious attempt and pandering for the Cuban-American vote. And at another moment of Monday’s debate, Romney and Gingrich sparred over whether Castro’s soul would go to heaven or hell. Who cares? How is something even relevant? When asked what he would do as president if he found out Castro had died, Romney said he would first “thank Heavens” that the bearded revolutionary had finally “returned to his maker,“ to which Gingrich replied ”I don‘t think Fidel’s going to meet his maker. I think he’s going to go to the other place.” Again, who cares? Dead or alive, the people of Cuba will continue to suffer as long as the regime is in place. At this point in time he has become nothing more than a figurehead anyway. And I'm sure there are any number of younger versions waiting in the wings to take over.

MORE OF NEWT ON REAGAN FROM 1988…

Oh what a difference a fews years can make. To hear Newt Gingrich talk today, you'd swear he was right there diligently working side by side with Reagan, and together they were able to get this country turned around after what was the train wreck that was the Jimmy Carter presidency. But when looking back we find that is not quite an accurate portrayal of things actually took place. And we see that Newt had some rather unpleasant things to say about Ronald Reagan, at that time. So, was Newt lying then for supposed political purposes, or is he lying now for the same reason. Because make no mistake, at some point he was, or is, in fact telling us a lie.

NEWT GINGRICH IS NO RONALD REAGAN…

Over the course of this campaign Newt Gingrich has been very fond of using any number of references to his “working” with Ronald Reagan, maybe just a little too fond. Ya know, it seems that every four years we hear from any number of Republican candidates as they make claim after claim about how it is they and only they who can carry forward the Reagan mantle. It is their past relationship with Reagan that makes them uniquely qualified in they’re being able rekindle that American spirit which Reagan was able to tap into with such ease. Hell, we’ve even heard Barry “Almighty” compare himself to Reagan. How nutty is that? But in between elections you hear nary a word from these same individuals about the man whose name they so very freely bandy about at election time. The man that many Americans, including myself, consider as one of this nation’s greatest, if not the greatest, president. Since we haven’t got the man with us today to verify all the wild claims being made by those who swear they were friends, associates or supporters of Reagan and who claim to fully endorse his conservative philosophy, we’re left to try to sort things out for ourselves. And it is in area of his being a kindred spirit, of sorts, that, personally, I simply think Newt is being less than honest. And that’s despite the fact that Reagan’s son, Mike, has endorsed Gingrich. I just think Newt’s trying to score points by exaggerating just how involved he might have been in working with the last truly conservative president this nation had.

WELCOME TO OBAMALAND, WHERE NOTHING CAN GO WRONG, GO WRONG, GO WRONG…

The Republican National Committee has compiled the above video comparing lines that Barry “Almighty” used last night in his State of the Union Address with lines he used in previous addresses before Congress:

Obama 2010: "It's time for colleges and universities to get serious about cutting their own costs.
Obama 2012: "Colleges and universities have to do their part by working to keep costs down."
***
Obama 2010: "And we should continue the work by fixing our broken immigration system."
Obama 2011: "I strongly believe that we should take on, once and for all, the issue of illegal immigration."
Obama 2012: "I believe as strongly as ever that we should take on illegal immigration."
***
Obama 2010: "We face a deficit of trust."
Obama 2012: "I've talked tonight about the deficit of trust . . ."
***
Obama 2010: "We can't wage a perpetual campaign."
Obama 2012: "We need to end the notion that the two parties must be locked in a perpetual campaign."

AND LIL "CHUCKIE" SCHUMER THINKS EVERYTHING IS HUMMING ALONG JUST FINE...

A bigger moron you will very seldom ever see. Nor a more skillful liar, except of course, our president.  These Democrats continue to think that there still remains a significant number of us who still continue to believe their pathetic and very obvious lies.  Hopefully that's not the case, but one never knows.

GOV. DANIELS HITS ONE OUTTA THE PARK….

While couldn't I just couldn't manage to make it all the way through Barry's campaign speech disguised as his State of the Union address last night, I was damn glad I was able to catch Gov. Mitch Daniel's as he presented the formal Republican response to it. Gov. Daniels was spot on as he made point after point how it is that Barry has resorted to “extremism” with stifling, anti-growth policies and continually tries dividing Americans. Just eight months after having decided not to pursue a bid for his party’s presidential nomination, Gov. Daniels used his nationally televised speech to lash out at Barry and cast the GOP as compassionate and eager to unchain the country’s economic potential. “No feature of the Obama presidency has been sadder than its constant effort to divide us, to curry favor with some Americans by castigating others,” Gov. Daniels said. Adding, “As in previous moments of national danger, we Americans are all in the same boat."

Barry’s address, and Daniels’ speech, come at the dawn of a presidential and congressional election year in which the defining issues are the faltering economy and weak job market. Barry was ready to describe his vision of attaining “an economy built to last” and an emphasis on fairness, which includes protecting the middle class and making sure the rich pay an equitable share of taxes. Led by Daniels, Republicans were firing back that it was their party, not Barry’s, that understood the best way to trigger economic growth was to get the government out of the way. “The extremism that stifles the development of homegrown energy, or cancels a perfectly sane pipeline that would employ tens of thousands, or jacks up consumer utility bills for no improvement in either human health or world temperature, is a pro-poverty policy,” Gov. Daniels said. Gov. Daniels painted the perfect picture of what it is that Barry has created and wishes to expand upon.

He made the point, and I think very effectively, that Republicans prefer “a passionate pro-growth approach that breaks all ties and calls all close ones in favor of private sector jobs that restore opportunity for all and generate the public revenues to pay our bills.” He went about the demonstrating the fact that, yes, there is, as Barry likes to continually reference, a very stark difference between what the two parties see as being the solution to our current economic and fiscal problems. And even a blind man should be able to readily see that what Barry is proposing has no more of a chance at success than has any of the other attempts he has made over the course of the last three years. It is time for a new approach, an approach that will encourage growth not stifle it and that will create an environment where those with the desire are willing to take the necessary risk. For without those people doing what it is that they do we have no chance whatsoever of being able to crawl out of this Barry created chasm.

OBAMA'S STATE OF THE UNION, JUST MORE OF THE SAME...

In what was nothing more than just another run of the mill campaign speech, Barry seemed to go on and on about how he views the state of our union. And frankly, after hearing about his vision, I think it's way past the time for him to purchase a good pair of glasses, because in realty, our union is far from being in good shape. Back in 2008 he sold himself as being a uniter not a divider, however, he has proven himself to be anything but. Last night his true “community agitator” came crashing to the surface. Throughout the entire speech there was no mention of the fact that for the first two years of this regime, he had complete and total control of Congress. As well, there was nary a mention of Obamacare, and no mention at all of the horrendous Dodd-Frank financial "reform" legislation or the failure of his nearly 1 trillion dollar "stimulus" package, all of which were passed by his then super majorities in both houses of Congress. He made the idiotic, and patently untrue, claim that during his reign over 3 million new jobs have been created. It would seem that the depth of his dishonestly toward the American people, truly knows no bounds. Because nothing could be further from the truth. The entire speech was nothing more than pure leftist drivel that was meant to do one thing, and one thing only. Divide us. Because that's what he sees as needing to be done if he is to have any chance of winning the next election.

And as always, his problems continue to be someone else’s fault, He whines incessantly or strikes out with a level of hate and vitriol that is very rarely seen coming from the Oval Office. He refuses to accept any amount criticism, or responsibility, regarding what has transpired over the course of the last 3 years as he stubbornly continues to blame it all on Bush, the House GOP, or the failed policies of the past. But it's all bullshit. He loves to claim that his hands were so tied until after the last election that it remains doubtful many if anything can be done in the remainder of this term. But again, he conveniently neglects to mention that for two full years he had super majorities in Congress and did nothing but to make matters so very much worse. And he may complain how his hands are tied, but at nearly every turn we see how he is working to circumvent Congress and therefore the will of the people. In that vein, over the course of his time in office Barry has issued all manner executive orders and, eluding Congress completely, recently appointed a supposed "consumer protection watchdog" in hopes of convincing voters that he’s in tune with their primary concern, the economy. And Barry pledged to act even if congressional Republicans continue to fight him. “I intend to fight obstruction with action, and I will oppose any effort to return to the very same policies that brought on this economic crisis in the first place,” he said.

Last night we heard Barry say, "We have subsidized oil companies for a century. That's long enough. It's time to end the taxpayer giveaways to an industry that's rarely been more profitable, and double-down on a clean energy industry that's never been more promising." But unfortunately for Barry, the facts tell us something far different. Because this is at least Barry's third go around in trying to strip subsidies from the oil industry. Back when fellow Democrats formed substantial majorities in both the House and the Senate, he sought $36.5 billion in tax increases on oil and gas companies over the next decade, but Congress largely ignored his idiotic request. But never one to say die when it comes to raising taxes, Barry called again to end such tax breaks in last year's State of the Union spiel. And he's now doing it yet again, despite facing a wall of opposition from Republicans who want to spur domestic oil and gas production and oppose tax increases generally. Barry remains insistent in calling for a surge in green energy projects and education funding, but said paying for such efforts while reducing the nation’s record budget deficit would require, you guessed it, the rich to pay higher taxes. He proposed that anyone earning more than $1 million a year should pay a minimum 30 percent tax rate. But he also called on Congress to extend a payroll tax cut for 160 million Americans through the rest of the year.

He also once again blatantly lied to us, nothing new there, when he said. "Our health care law relies on a reformed private market, not a government program." In reality, and not in that same alternate universe in which Barry seems to currently reside, at best that's only about half true. Because you see, about half of the more than 30 million uninsured Americans who expected to gain coverage through the health care law will now be enrolled in what can only be described as being a "government program." Medicaid, the federal-state program for low-income people, will be expanded starting in 2014 to cover childless adults living "near" the poverty line. The other half will be enrolled in private health plans through new state-based insurance markets. But many of them will be receiving federal subsidies to make their premiums more affordable. And that too is something that is considered to be a "government run program." Starting in 2014 most Americans will be required to carry health coverage, either through an employer, by buying their own plan, or through a "government program." Unless of course, the Supreme Court does as it should and strikes down this whole Obamacare scheme as being unconstitutional. But it remains far from certain that that is the decision that will be made. Until then we'll be on pins and needles. I think it very fair to say that we can expect a 5-4 decision regardless of the outcome.

Barry also said, "Tonight, I want to speak about how we move forward, and lay out a blueprint for an economy that's built to last - an economy built on American manufacturing, American energy, skills for American workers, and a renewal of American values." But again we have an instance where truth is stranger than the fictional account of things being offered up by Barry. You see, economists do see manufacturing growth as a necessary component of any U.S. recovery. U.S. manufacturing output climbed a whopping 0.9 percent in December, and, believe it or not, that was the biggest gain since December 2010. Yet Barry's apparent vision of a nation once again propelled by manufacturing, a vision shared by many Republicans, may already have slipped well into the past. Because what has taken place over the last several generations, is that our economy has become ever more driven by services. It has not been since 1975 that the U.S. had a surplus in merchandise trade, which covers trade in goods, including both manufactured and farm goods. About 90 percent of American workers are now employed in the service sector, a profound shift in the nature of the workforce over many decades. The overall trade deficit through the first 11 months of 2011 ran at an annual rate of nearly $600 billion, up almost 12 percent from the year before.

And in what was, I can only guess, an attempt by him to justify his taking over of two car companies, Barry said, "On the day I took office, our auto industry was on the verge of collapse. Some even said we should let it die. With a million jobs at stake, I refused to let that happen. In exchange for help, we demanded responsibility. We got workers and automakers to settle their differences. We got the industry to retool and restructure. Today, General Motors is back on top as the world's number one automaker. Chrysler has grown faster in the U.S. than any major car company. Ford is investing billions in U.S. plants and factories. And together, the entire industry added nearly 160,000 jobs." But again, the facts of he matter tell a very different story. And in doing what he is prone to do, Barry left out some key details. The bailout of General Motors and Chrysler began under Republican President George W. Bush. Now, Barry did pick up the ball, and earmarked even more money, and, I guess you could say, he finished the job. But to say that GM is again the world's number one automaker is at best a stretch and worst a flat out lie. An Ford, which Barry mentions as well, never asked for a federal bailout and never got one. And Chrysler isn't really a U.S. automaker anymore. Italian automaker Fiat now owns a 30 percent share, and it will eventually go to 51 percent. So I don't see this as being something Barry can brag about.

As kind of a side note here, I just wanted to mention the fact that on Monday, the day before Barry's big speech, we were once again witness to the fact that old Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) must have access to a personal stash of some pretty good shit. That fact was main pretty obvious when old Steny said that no president in the last 30 years has “reached out as seriously and sincerely” to “work together in a bipartisan fashion” than Barack Hussein Obama. Ya know, whenever I hear these sleazy Democrats spewing this level of never-ending drivel, I can’t help but wonder how there can be anyone left who can possibly take them serious. When asked on Monday whether it would be a political speech, Steny responded by saying “He is the president, we are a democracy, president’s have to be re-elected.” I'm not really sure where Steny was going with that, but he must have. Anyway, he went on to say, “No president with whom I’ve served over those last 30 years has spent as much time working with Republicans and Democrats in the room, exchanging ideas, evidencing a willingness to compromise as President Obama has.” All that tells me is that this clown, like so many others currently serving in Congress, has been in Washington way too long. In Hoyer's case, about 28 years too long. Guys like Hoyer, having long ago forgotten why they are in Congress, have now become a threat to our country.

MORE FROM THE SEA-HAG, NANCY PELOSI...

It was during an interview with CNN’s John King, that Nancy Pelosi was asked: “You make your case there passionately for President Obama. But also understand that this is a tough reelection climate for any president, Democrat or Republican in this economy. Because of your history with Speaker Gingrich, what goes through your mind when you think of the possibility, which is more real today than it was a week or a month ago, that he would be the Republican nominee and that you could come back here next January or next February with a President Gingrich?”

To which the Minority Leader responded, “Let me just say this. That will never happen.”

When asked why, Pelosi elaborated, “He’s not going to be President of the United States. That’s not going to happen. Let me just make my prediction and stand by it, it isn’t going to happen.”

“Why are you so sure?” King pressed.

“There is something I know. The Republicans, if they choose to nominate him that’s their prerogative. I don‘t even think that’s going to happen.”

RIDDLE ME THIS, WHAT'S THE REAL REASON OBAMA KILLED THE KEYSTONE PIPELINE?

Ok, why do you think that Barry "Almighty," decided to kill the pipeline deal that so many Democrats, Republicans and even labor union leaders support? Now knowing our "Fearless Leader" as we all should by now, why was it done? Now I suppose there are any number of possible answers for this type of idiotic behavior, but how about one of these four choices. First off, I suppose we could take what Barry said at face value and accept the fact that there simply is not enough time to do a proper environmental impact study. Or, could it be that because of alternative energy companies like Solyndra, we’re well on the road to becoming an oil-free energy generating country. No? Well then how about the fact that Barry's billionaire buddy and confidant, Warren Buffett has a sizable investment in a Canadian railway that would benefit substantially from killing Keystone? No you say? He'd never be that obvious in any attempt at deception? Well then might it be because Brazil, the country whose deep-water oil fields Barry agreed to fund, is going to be selling us cheap and plentiful oil?

Well let's can go over those one at a time and see what we can come up with, shall we? Now in the case of the environmental impact study argument, it has been noted that the project could begin moving forward and jobs could be created as another study is gotten underway. If the findings show that the pipeline’s route would need to be changed, or additional safety measures would need to be put in place, those could very easily be added to the project. As far as the Solyndra option goes, I think that question pretty much answers itself. You tell me, am I wrong in making that assessment? Now concerning Barry's old chum Warren Buffett, we’ve learned courtesy of Bloomberg News that old Warren's Burlington Northern Santa Fe LLC is among U.S. and Canadian railroads that stand to benefit, and rather substantially, from Barry’s decision to reject TransCanada Corp. (TRP)’s Keystone XL oil pipeline permit. So you tell me, would Barry throw the rest of us under the proverbial bus so that his buddy Warren could make a few million? You bet he would, in a God Damned heartbeat!

Now let's move along to the question of Brazil. What about Brazil? Might the real reason that our "Dear Beloved Leader" rejected the Keystone XL deal have been because he was expecting Brazil to maybe start selling us some of the cheap oil from their newly-discovered oil deep water oil fields? If current estimates of the underwater fields are anywhere near correct, all that oil could make Brazil an energy superpower and a very wealthy nation. That would be unlike the Unite States who prefers to sit atop of its vast oil reserves, leaving them completely untapped. Anyway, I'm sure we all remember that back in May of 2011 when Barry visited Brazil for no other reason than that he took it upon himself to pledge some pretty massive financial support from American taxpayers in the amount of some 2 Billion dollars. Barry also hinted around the fact that the money being lent to Brazil should also put America at the front of the line once the oil starts pumping. But sometimes things don't work as planned as Barry‘s wishful thinking seems to have been undercut by China’s forceful negotiating. Because as we all know, Barry’s negotiating skills are roughly the equivalent to your average third grader's.

Staying on the topic of Brazil, it was just last week that an announcement was made that Brazil and Red China had inked a deal for some pretty big oil sales. And perhaps adding insult to injury in the wake of the Keystone XL rejection, Canada‘s Prime Minister has begun talking about building a pipeline to his country’s west coast where oil could quite easily be pumped into tankers waiting to take oil to, you guessed it, China. Prime Minister Stephen Harper, in a recent telephone call, told Barry “Canada will continue to work to diversify its energy exports.” If you wonder what the Prime Minster means when he says “diversify its energy exports“, he is apparently talking about Red China. The Bloomberg News report continues: Canada this month began hearings on a proposed pipeline by Enbridge Inc. to move crude from Alberta’s oil sands to British Columbia’s coast, where it could be shipped to Asian markets. As the Iranians inch closer to realizing their threat to block the transport of oil through the Strait of Hormuz, the importance of oil from South American oil is obvious. Some might argue that the oil underneath American soil and American waters would bring great independence and security.

But at the end of the day who is it that are the ones being made to pay the price for our president's being so adamantly opposed to drilling anywhere here at home, as well as what can only be described as his blatant stupidity when it comes to his complete inability to deal with countries like Brazil. The American people are being made to pay, that's who! And not only by having 2 Billion of our hard earned tax dollars simply handed over to another country for no other reason than to subsidize their being able to drill for oil in their own backyard, but also in our being forced to pay increasingly more at the pump, money that we could be spending to stimulate our anemic economy, and lastly, and most important, we're paying for it by way of losing 20,000 plus jobs that would have been created had Barry signed off on the pipeline deal. All and all this has been very costly for this country. This is lunacy! That this blatant America hater even remains in the running to get re-elected is simply astounding. He is so determined in his effort to keep happy the wacko environmentalist wackos that are part of his kook constituency, that he's unwilling to take advantage of anything that will bring down the price of oil.

A RE"VOLT" OF SORTS OVER AT OBAMA MOTORS?

There apparently seems to be a little unrest brewing over there at Obama Motors (OM) with some Chevrolet dealers now choosing to turn down Volts that Obama Motors wants to ship to them. This little scenario could prove to be a potential stumbling block as OM looks to accelerate sales of their plug-in, fire prone, hybrid. Take for example what has happened in the New York City market. Just last month, OM allocated 104 Volts to 14 different dealerships in the area, at least according to a person supposedly familiar with the matter. Dealers only took 31 of them, the lowest take rate for any Chevy model in that market last month. At the same time, that group of dealers ordered more than 90 percent of the other vehicles they were eligible to take, the source also said. So what does that tell you?

Then there is Clovis, out there in the land of the fruits, the nuts and the flakes referred to as California, a place where you would think that these things would be selling like proverbial hotcakes. Well, Brett Hedrick, dealer principal at Hedrick's Chevrolet, sold 10 Volts all of last year. But in December and January he turned down all six Volts allocated to him under something referred to as OM's "turn-and-earn" system, which, I guess, distributes vehicles based on past sales volumes and inventory levels. OM's "thinking we need six more Volts is just crazy," Hedrick says. "We've never sold more than two in a month." Hedrick says he usually takes just about every vehicle that GM allocates to him. Well, Barry ain't gonna let the fact that nobody wants these things stop him from shoving them down our throats.

Meanwhile, OM spokesman Rob Peterson confirmed the fact that "dealer ordering is down" for the Volt. He claims that demand is down because many dealers have been waiting for resolution of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's investigation into the risk of fires in the car's battery pack. Last year three packs caught fire in the days or weeks following government test crashes. This month OM announced a voluntary repair aimed at protecting the battery pack. And last week NHTSA said it has closed its investigation, concluding that the battery pack poses no significant fire risk. "There's a lot of misinformation that has swirled over the past month," Peterson said. "Dealers are kind of waiting for things to settle down." There's misinformation alright, all of it coming from OM and the government.

Hedrick and other dealers say that their OM overseers aren't really pressuring them to take more Volts. "They haven't jammed us," he says. "I think they'll just give them to somebody else." Who, exactly, does Mr. Hedrick think is stupid enough to take more of these firetraps? I doubt he cares very much, as long as it isn't him. Those who are identified as "industry insiders" are supposed to be closely watching sales of the Volt and Nissan's Leaf as barometers of market demand for electric vehicles. Several other automakers are set to launch EVs this year. At the Detroit auto show this month, OM executives said they wouldn't chase a previous Volt production target set for 2012, 60,000 units, three-quarters of which would be for U.S. sales, and vowed simply to build as many as customers want. Ah, that would be zero.

OM sold 7,671 Volts in the United States in 2011, short of its 10,000-unit target. It launched the car in seven key markets starting in late 2010, but didn't begin a national rollout until this past autumn. While there on the sidelines of the Detroit show, OM North America President Mark Reuss did his best to whistle smoke up somebody’s skirt saying, "We haven't satisfied demand." Oh really? He claims that OM will be better able to gauge Volt demand by sometime in the second quarter. Many dealers say they no longer have customers waiting in the wings. One East Coast Chevy dealer said he agreed to take all five of the Volts that GM allocated to him this month, even though he has seen a "huge drop off" in customer interest. "I probably should have taken only one," he said. Duh, ya think?

The entire concept of these stupid "green" cars should serve as the perfect example of how we, as a country, are expending way too much time, money and effort on all of this green nonsense. The focus of our effort to make us more energy independent should be on the drilling for more oil and natural gas. This bogus "green" technology that Barry insists on forcing upon us, very obviously has some pretty significant bugs that still need to be worked out. Look, I'm not advocating that we completely abandon the effort to move forward on renewable energy, only that a little common sense be applied here. Green technology should be part of an overall program not the entire program of how we are to go about weaning ourselves off of the oil we continue to get from countries who hate us and wish to blow us up. Drill here, Drill now, Pay less.

NEWT THEN, NEWT IN 2012 RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT...

Newt seems to relish taking pot shots at the other candidates regarding things that they have either done or said in the past, regardless of how long ago it may have been. He also seems to be quite adept at rewriting his own personal history. Case I point was last night's debate when he said, "I went to a Goldwater organizing session in 1964. I met with Ronald Reagan for the first time in 1974. I worked with Jack Kemp, and Art Laffer and others to develop supply side economics in the late '70s. I helped Governor Reagan become President Reagan. I helped pass the Reagan economic program and worked with the National Security Council on issues including the collapse of the Soviet Empire." So which is it, Newt? Try as he might to convince us that he is, he is not the second coming of Reagan. Having said that, however, he would be better than Barry "Almighty."

MORON ANDREA MITCHELL TAKES LUNACY TO A WHOLE NEW LEVEL...

I think it very safe to say that this political season has already deteriorated to the point where it will go down in the annals of political history as being one of the nastier ones right out of the gate. Now having said that, I'm sure we would all agree that we have now seen all manner of, shall we say, rather zany accusations made against Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney coming from his many conservative opponents, as well as numerous liberals and those in the state-controlled media, in regards to his record at Bain, record on abortion, his taxes and his record on Romneycare. But thus far in the campaign I really don't recall anyone having gone so far as to actually bring into question the immigration records of his ancestors. So I know you'll all be glad to hear, when I tell you that that very issue has now been brought out of the shadows and into the bright sunlight by none other than the network famous, or infamous, for its investigative style of journalism, MSNBC.

You see it was while on Chris "Got that Tingle goin up my leg" Matthew's show "High Ball" just this past Sunday, that that venerable political guru and star reporter, Andrea Mitchell decided to bring that all important topic to the very few viewers you were actually tuned in. Here's what this rocket scientist had to say: “And looking ahead to the next primary in Florida, 30 percent of the Hispanic community is Cuban-American. That’s a smaller proportion, and so the Hispanic community there is different. And they are less prone to be susceptible to Mitt Romney’s really hard line on immigration, more prone to the Newt Gingrich approach to immigration. The other interesting little fact is about the Mexican Romneys, those looking back at all of those records say that Mitt Romney should look back at the records because the Romneys that came back from Mexico to the United States, they crossed the border illegally.” Now be honest, have you ever heard anything more idiotic?

It was first speculated that Ms. Mitchell’s rather bizarre claim had as its source a Sunday NPR report on Romney’s Mexican relatives, however it was noted by those whose job it is to note such things that the story said nothing about any of his relatives coming to America illegally. NPR’s John Burnett told James Crugnale of Mediaite that he did not come across any documents indicating that the Gaskell Romney family came to the United States illegally, noting that they were part of an exodus of 1,200 Mormons from Mexico. Miles Park Romney was Mitt’s great grandfather, who fled the United States and crossed into Mexico in 1885 to escape religious persecution. There he helped build the Mormon enclave of Colonia Juarez in Chihuahua. Mitt’s father George was born in Mexico in 1907 to Gaskell and Anna Romney. NPR reports that George’s family left Mexico when he was five. George went on to be an auto executive, governor of Michigan, and a presidential candidate.

Now I feel fairly confident in saying that most us are of the opinion that had Barack Hussein Obama been made to endure the same level of intense scrutiny regarding his highly questionable "community agitator" background that it's fair to assume that he would never have been elected, let alone even be considered as being a viable candidate for the job. Call me silly, but had his background received even a cursory looking over, he would have been laughed out of the building for even suggesting his desire to run for president. Where Republican candidates are always examined under a magnifying glass, Democrats are always looked at with a blindfold on. But such is the way of our modern day state-controlled media complex. Those who are to be blessed with most favored status by the icons of today's primary media outlets, are to be provided a pass on any issue that, if brought to light, might in some way, become a hindrance to they're getting elected.

YES, IT'S ANYBODY BUT OBAMA, BUT…

Keep in mind here that I’m speaking as someone whose guy has now dropped out of the race, a decision that has now essentially left me in somewhat of a quandary. You see, out of the remaining candidates still standing, I’m leaning toward Romney or Gingrich. And the fella I was supporting was Rick Perry, who has endorsed Gingrich. Now while Newt would like us all to believe that he is the second coming of Ronald Reagan, facts, as Newt like to say, can be used to tell a rather different story. Because as we take a little journey down memory lane we can see that along the way Newt has floated more than a few ideas that Reagan never would have never gone for. Crazy ideas that deal with everything from “climate change” and mandatory health coverage to the curtailing of free speech online. Today, throughout the ongoing campaign, he has attempted to either downplay or divert completely, attention away from those ideas, and we kinda saw that again in Thursday night's debate in South Carolina. A tactic, that apparently seems to have worked so far.

Regarding the specific issue of the internet, since deciding to throw his hat into the ring comprised of those hoping to unseat our “Dear Beloved Leader,” Newt Gingrich has continued to portray himself as a friend of a free and open Internet. But in the past he's talked up some pretty radical proposals that would actually curtail free speech online. Ideas that you would normally expect to hear coming from Eric Holder or Barack Hussein Obama. There was a question posed on Thursday night that had to do with the Stop Online Piracy Act, legislation that has the support of many in the entertainment industry as well as many powerful members of the House and Senate. The legislation now appears, at least, to be on life support after running into what can only be described as a firestorm of criticism from Internet users, tech companies like Google, and activists who shut down websites in protest last week. It sounds like what it was that Gingrich was supporting, and not all that long ago, politically speaking, is eerily similar to what we're hearing from Barry "Almighty." But apparently that's not his opinion today.

Today, at a time when Gingrich is busy trying to become Barry’s Republican opponent in 2012, his opinion seems to have changed on a number of issues. Regarding the internet specifically, he now says, "You have virtually everybody who's technologically advanced, including, you know, Google and YouTube and Facebook and all the folks, who say this is going to totally mess up the Internet, and the bill in its current form is written really badly and leads to a range of censorship that is totally unacceptable. Well, I favor freedom." Adding, "The idea that we're going to preemptively have the government start censoring the Internet on behalf of giant corporations' economic interests strikes me as exactly the wrong thing to do." What a difference a few years make, because it was back in 2006 that Newt was singing slightly a different tune. Because back then what he calls this “messing up of the internet” didn’t seem to bother Gingrich all that much. Then Gingrich was arguing that censoring the Internet would be the right thing to do when it comes to Islamic radicals who use the web to organize jihad against the U.S.

His opinion of things in 2006 was, "We need to get ahead of the curve rather than wait until we actually literally lose a city, which I think could literally happen in the next decade if we're unfortunate," is what Mr. Gingrich opined in a speech given in New Hampshire. He went on to say, "We now should be impaneling people to look seriously at a level of supervision that we would never dream of if it weren't for the scale of the threat." So I think it a very fair question, much more fair than asking him about the ramblings and bizarre accusations of an ex-wife, to ask regarding what it was that might have brought about this very obvious change in his position. Gingrich's aides posted the audio on the web at the time, but for whatever the reason, that file seems to be gone now. It's become one of those things that makes you wanna go, hmmmmm. But if memory serves, the former House speaker didn't really go into great detail back then, but he did suggest that a group of retired judges or other respected individuals should be empowered to shut down websites that foment anti-American violence. But who defines exactly what that is.

Now while at the time Gingrich did not explain how the U.S. would take down those sites on servers beyond the reach of U.S. law and he conceded that the kinds of controls he was proposing for the web would trigger "a serious debate about the First Amendment." DUH! But he justifies any intrusion saying that it was needed because of the apocalyptic nature of the threat posed by Islamic terrorists. "This is a serious, long-term war," Gingrich said. "Either before we lose a city or, if we are truly stupid, after we lose a city, we will adopt rules of engagement that use every technology we can find to break up their capacity to use the Internet, to break up their capacity to use free speech, and to go after people who want to kill us to stop them from recruiting people." Now obviously, terrorists pose a more significant threat than intellectual property pirates. So, I suppose, Gingrich could distinguish his positions on those grounds. But both proposals raise serious questions about their practical effectiveness and the degree to which they'd block speech that's lawful right now.

In any event, Gingrich's 2006 statements show that he's not entirely averse to "preemptively hav[ing] the government start censoring the Internet" for some reasons and that he's far from being a champion of unfettered free speech on the Web. And as mentioned earlier, he has had a sentiment for “climate change” going so far as to team up with old “Stretch” Pelosi. We’ve got to remember that a great debater does not even a good president make. And it may be just me, but as this primary process continues, the level of arrogance being exhibited by Gingrich has continued to escalate. So as Team Gingrich, including the candidate himself, continues to make hay regarding what Romney did, or did not do during his time as governor of Massachusetts or while he was at Bain, our about his taxes, Gingrich is far from being as pure as the wind driven snow. And again, speaking only for myself, I’m “leaning” toward Romney. Look, I’ve put all of my eggs in one basket already and was left with an empty basket and eggs all over my feet. So I’ll b watching and listening and deciding, just who it is that I think is best able to beat Barry.
