Funny what a difference a few years makes, especially in the wild, wonderfully wacky world of politics. Some may remember when, then Senator, Barry "Almighty" speaking in Iowa back in 2006 said that, “I’ve had enough of using terrorism as a wedge issue in our politics.” He said the war on terrorism "isn't supposed to crop up between September and November of even-numbered years." But as president, Barry and his reelection team have consistently raised the issue, repeatedly referring to a comment made by Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney 5 years ago to suggest that Romney would not have ordered the killing of Osama bin Laden as Barry "Almighty" did one year ago. Personally, I see this as nothing more than an act of desperation as well as yet another attempt to distract attention away from Barry's many failures.
It was back on Sept. 17, 2006, that Barry gave a little spiel at Democratic Sen. Tom "I ain't got the brains of an ice cube" Harkin’s annual steak fry in Indianola, Iowa. While there he took the occasion to spew what has now become his very typical brand of sociopathic drivel. “And let me tell you something else I’ve had enough of: I’ve had enough of using terrorism as a wedge issue in our politics,” Barry told those assembled. “I’ve had enough of that. I’ve had enough of that. You know, I – I don’t know about you, but I think the war against terrorism isn’t supposed to crop up between September and November of even numbered years, and yet that seems to be the pattern. There is a sudden burst of activity, a sudden urgency about this whole thing three months before an election every other year."
But I guess these days Barry seems to be of a slightly different opinion, since he's now running for re-election and all. I say that because his re-election campaign has now released a video questioning what Gov. Romney would have done about bin Laden, given a comment Romney made in an interview with the Associated Press that was published 5 years ago on April 26, 2007. It was then that the AP quoted Romney as saying that the U.S. would be safer by only "a small percentage" and would see "a very insignificant increase in safety" if Osama bin Laden were caught, because another terrorist would rise to power. "It's not worth moving heaven and earth, spending billions of dollars, just trying to catch one person," Romney said. Instead, Romney said he supported a broader strategy to defeat the Islamic jihad movement, the AP reported.
Gov. Romney chose to respond to this idiotic claim based on comments made five years ago during a campaign stop in New Hampshire on Monday. Comments that were obviously taken out of context prior to being used in a Barry campaign video and currently being repeatedly ad nauseam by Team Barry. He told a reporter that “of course,” he would have given the order to kill bin Laden. “Anybody would have made that call, even Jimmy Carter,” he said, referring to Barry's order one year ago. But never one to shy away from perpetuating any lie no matter how obvious, during a White House news conference on Monday, Barry was asked about his thoughts on the first anniversary of bin Laden’s death in Pakistan. Some 'in the tank reporter' quoted Romney’s statement as part of the question.
And in his very typically arrogant fashion, Barry answered, “As far as my personal role and what other folks would do, I’d just recommend that everybody take a look at people’s previous statements in terms of whether they thought it was appropriate to go into Pakistan and take out bin Laden.” “I assume that people meant what they said when they said it. That's been at least my practice. I said that I’d go after bin Laden if we had a clear shot at him, and I did.” REALLY? So we're supposed to always assume people mean what they say? You know that statement is laughable. I mean somebody should have taken the time to mention to this hypocritical jerk, the fact that we all assumed he meant what he was saying when he told us all that if his bogus "stimulus" package was passed, way back when, unemployment would never go over 8 percent. And we know how that turned out.
What a sorry sack of shit this guy, Barry, is. I mean, really. He has got to be one of the poorest excuses for a president, if not a human being, that we've seen in quite some time. He is pathetic on so many different levels. His entire presidency is based on nothing more than one lie stacked on top of another lie piled on top of yet another lie. His Department of Labor pumps out employment numbers that are nothing more than a work of pure fiction, he claims to have created more jobs in three years than Bush did in eight, he still maintains that Obamacare will lower costs, he insists that some sort of economic recovery is currently underway, he claims to bring drilling for oil everywhere but on the White House lawn in his effort to reduce gas prices and on and on it goes. Who can honestly say that they are better off today than they were prior to January 20, 2009?
The bottom line here is that Barry cannot be trusted, it's really as simply as that. His whole image, beliefs, goals and platform are all based on one huge deception. And, I'll tell ya, if you haven't been able to figure that out after watching him for the last 3+ years, you're either a complete moron, a member of the black community one of the many leeches in our society who seem perfectly content to mooch off of the rest of us who actually work for a living. This November those of us who see this guy for what he is must come together and do what is best for our children, our country and our future. We can no longer afford to empower a man who has the ability to deceive at such a high level and pull the wool over so many eyes. He is a wolf in sheep's clothing and he will devour our sovereignty, our freedoms, and our liberty if we let him.
