IT’S TIME FOR FLORIDA DEMOCRAT BILL NELSON TO GO…

Good old Bill Nelson, Democrat from Florida, a man who has seen fit to support Barry “Almighty” right down the line, is now running for re-election in what is, despite its support Barry the last time around, still a pretty red state. So what should come as no big surprise to anyone here was his decision to play it rather safe Friday, regarding the issue of the gay marriage question highlighted by Barry’s recent endorsement of same-sex marriages. According to a report by the Tampa Bay Times, when asked a question on the topic, old Bill’s response was simple, generic and evasion. “I have a record fighting against discrimination and standing up for people’s civil rights based on their sexual orientation. I believe marriage should be left to the states, and Florida voted on same-sex marriage in 2008," said Nelson. That would be until you’re safely reelected, right Bill?

It was during some speech he gave on Friday night while attending something being called the "Champions of Equality" event, in Miami, that he seemed to focus much more on his supposed ‘record’ of fighting against discrimination. He spoke of his strong support of the banning of the now defunct "don't ask, don't tell" of the U.S. military. “Don’t ask, don’t tell” specifically barred people, based on their sexual orientation, from serving openly in the U.S. military. In remarks released in advance of his speech, Nelson reveals: “As a member of the Armed Services Committee I cosponsored and voted for, and the president signed, this legislation. I was proud to do so. The courage, the bravery, the sacrifice, and the patriotism of all Americans who serve deserve no less.” Reason enough to defeat him!

“Here in Florida, I stood against the proposed changes last year that would have added many people to the waiting list for AIDS medications. That’s why Sir Elton John and I co-authored a national newspaper column to shine a spotlight on the situation in Florida.” Adding, “This was not a political issue or a charitable cause. It was a matter of what’s right and wrong; whether or not we are acting in people’s best interest.” Bill, you old name dropper you. So his two claims to fame we’re supposed to view as making him worthy of being re-elected is his support of “Don’t ask, Don’t Tell” and his little partnership with an openly gay singer. That’s kinda what I’m getting from this. Sorry Bill, but there just isn’t any there, there and I’m afraid that just ain’t enough for me. The negatives far outweigh any positive.

So why shouldn’t anyone vote for Bill? Well how about the fact that this idiot has been a huge supporter of every policy Barry “Almighty” has ever put forth? From Barry’s bogus “stimulus” legislation that was going to keep unemployment below 8 percent, to his preventing us from drilling for oil on millions of acres of land where we KNOW we’d find some, to his seizure of our entire healthcare system, the fate of which is now in the hands of the Supreme Court, Bill Nelson has been joined at the hip with Barry practically since day one of Barry’s presidency. The Democrat Party is the political party most responsible for our country being in the sad shape that we find it today. And Bill Nelson has been a major player going all the way back to 1978 when he elected as a member to the House of Representatives. Since being elected to the Senate in 2000, he has been horrendous for our country. He needs to go!
