BY ALL MEANS, LET'S MOVE 'FORWARD'...AND PAST OBAMA...

Our "Dear Beloved Leader", Barry concluded a speech during a recent official 'presidential', and not a campaign, event in Albany, N.Y., using his brand new campaign slogan “forward” a number of times, in the midst of complaints that he is mixing campaign and official business far too often. “We want to ensure everyone who wants a job can find one,” Barry said Tuesday at the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering’s Albany NanoTech Complex at the State University of New York. Lying through his teeth he continued, “Every family can feel that sense of security that was the essence of America’s middle class experience, but we can’t just go back to the way things used to be." Going on to say, “We’ve got to move forward to an economy where everybody gets a fair shot, everybody gets a fair share, everybody plays by the same set of rules.” And once again throwing in his new campaign slogan “And that’s what you guys are doing here in Albany. You are investing in your future. You’re not going backwards. You’re going forward.” Yup, and right over that cliff!

Barry went on to say, “With your help, I know we can get there. Because here in America, we don’t give up, we keep moving. We look out for one another. We pull each other up. That’s who we are, and if we work together in common purpose, I’ve got no doubt we can keep moving this country forward and remind the world just why it is that the United States is the greatest nation on earth.” Now look, I know college students today are pretty much fed a steady diet of leftist bullshit, but is it too much to hope for that there remains in the minds of at least some of those listening to all of this drivel, at least a spark of commonsense? Barry's new campaign slogan, "Forward", was announced last week, with enthusiasm from supporters and mockery from opponents in part for its similarity to any number of Socialist, as well as Communist, publications and slogans. I have to admit here, the similarities between what any number of Socialist leaders, past and present, have said and what Barry is now saying, are very clear.

The Republican National Committee recently filed a complaint with the Government Accountability Office complaining that what the administration has described as being official presidential business is in reality pure, and not even all that thinly disguised, campaign business. “Obama for America has been cheating the American taxpayer by using taxpayer dollars to fund their general election efforts,” RNC Chairman Reince Priebus said in a statement. “The president, who has held more campaign events in 3.5 years than any other president did in their full term, should refund the taxpayers for the cost of these trips through his campaign account Obama for America.” let's be honest here, this is nothing more than the continuing sage of how Barry feels that the rules simply to not apply to him. He is above all such silly nonsense. After all, he is the one we were all waiting for, right? And as the one sent to rescue us from ourselves, he should, therefore, be allowed to do whatever it is that he sees as being necessary in order to convince us of the error or our ways.

Many of the complaints issued thus far regarding Barry's playing footloose with the rules here, have to do with official presidential trips to battleground states such as Ohio, Pennsylvania and North Carolina, that are very obviously, campaign stops. While very Blue New York is definitely no swing state, and is certain to be in Barry’s column at the end of the day come November 6, Barry continues his use of campaign style rhetoric during what is being called official presidential travel. During the official launch of his re-election campaign on Saturday, Barry spoke in Columbus, Ohio, where he used the word “forward” eight times and later that day in Richmond, Va., where he said “forward” seven times. “If you’re willing to work even harder in this election than in the last election, I guarantee you, we will move this country forward,” he said in both locations. Barry was in Albany on Tuesday to pitch what he called a “to do list” to Congress that he pretty much promised would accelerate job growth. Right, just like when he said his "stimulus" bill would keep unemployment below 8 percent.

The five items on Barry's silly little "To Do" list were: 1) The eliminating tax incentives to companies that move overseas; 2) Making refinancing of mortgages more available; 3) To provide tax credits for hiring more employees; 4) Even more subsidies for green energy; and 5) Putting returning veterans to work in government jobs such as firefighters and police officers. Ok, I really hate to rain on Barry's little parade here, but there is nothing on his little list that is going to do one iota as far as getting more Americans back to work. Look, if we are really going to be able to progress "forward" here, the first thing that we're going to need to do is to get well past Barry and all of his economic mumbo-jumbo, smoke and mirror bullshit. Because that's all it is. And the longer we refuse to recognize it as such, the less chance we have of defeating him this November so that we an then begin the longer and painful process of getting our country turned around and headed back in the right direction. There is just so much hinging on the outcome of this next election.
