DEMOCRATS SEEM TO THINK THEY CAN BULLY THEIR WAY TO A WIN…

For as long as I can remember, and I’m now 73 years old, when it comes to the game of politics Democrats have always approached it as if there was one set of rules for them and another for everyone else. And never the twain shall meet. And if those on the other side should ever dare to question that arrangement or attempt to play the game using those rules reserved for the Democrat all Hell would break out. And that’s what we’re seeing with the ongoing brouhaha over the issue of redistricting. Because while Democrats feel that they have the right to draw out districts any way they see fit, they don’t seem to think that Republican have that same right.

There are numerous examples of how states under Democrat control have created congressional districts in such a way as to be very beneficial to their party and Democrats feel very justified in doing so, claiming they have no ulterior motive. But should any state under Republican control attempt to do so, it’s immediately accused of trying to rig elections when in fact the only attempt being made is the attempt to return some level of fairness to the election process. A process that Democrats have bastardized to the point where it’s become almost impossible to trust election outcomes. Which was their point, because it makes it far easier for them to cheat.

Which, I guess, brings me to JB Pritzker, Democrat governor of Illinois, and a real piece of work. You see, it was during an appearance on this past Wednesday’s broadcast of NPR’s “All Things Considered,” that Pritzker actually chose to defend Illinois’ congressional maps by arguing that “Just because you’ve got more Democrats than Republicans elected doesn’t mean that it’s an unfair map. The fact of the matter is, that there were competitive elections in 2022” with the map and Republicans “don’t win here because their ideas are bad.” Now anyone taking the time to look at the map showing Illinois’ congressional districts would see that that’s clearly a lie.

Co-host Juana Summers asked, [relevant exchange begins around 4:00] “[H]as redistricting resulted in fair representation for the minority party in your state?” Pritzker said, “Just because you’ve got more Democrats than Republicans elected doesn’t mean that it’s an unfair map. The fact of the matter is, that there were competitive elections in 2022, which is the first election we had after the map was drawn, and Democrats won those seats. Furthermore, I’d just point out that these same Republicans who are complaining about the way maps are drawn in Democratic states, they’re the ones drawing maps in their states that are quite unfair."

And he went on to say, “It isn’t the case, though, let’s be clear, that, just because you have more of one party than another in a state, that it’s an unfair map. And in Illinois, Republicans have every opportunity to run for and win office. They don’t win here because their ideas are bad. And by the way, they’re about to lose elections in 2026 because of the big, ugly bill, because of the policies of Donald Trump, and they’re trying to change the game. Indeed, they’re trying to cheat midstream.” The likely reason that Democrats are howling is because most have already played all of their redistricting cards, and the Republicans still have a plethora of opportunities.

We should take his statements and turn them right back at him. Democrats by their very nature are hypocrites. And I despise hypocrites, and I despise liars. It’s impossible to trust people who will say one thing to your face and something entirely different to someone else behind your back. And that’s how those in the Democrat Party typically behave. The end always justifies the means with these people. And it’s seen as no big deal if they have to bend, or even break, a few laws along the way, because, after all, their heart is in the right place and it’s all for a good cause. They, and they alone, have the privilege of knowing what’s best for all of us.

Democrats continue to operate under the ill-conceived notion that the responsibility of safeguarding our country, our society and our people was somehow bestowed upon them because they’re so wise. But the reality of the situation bears little resemblance to the Democrats’ perspective. Because it’s here in the real world that it becomes very easy to see that those in the Democrat Party care very little when it comes to the plight of the common folk. Democrats have one, and only one, priority and that is to do everything within their power to acquire, and then to maintain at any cost, the level of political power that allows them complete control over government.

This fat, arrogant, billionaire is the perfect example of why it is that so many people have come to hate, and to distrust, the Democrat Party. To be honest Democrats have been tampering with election redistricting for decades. And with the arrival of Donald Trump onto the political scene the pendulum is slowly swinging away from those like Pritzker and they’re finding it rather hard to deal with. And so now they want to act like your typical schoolyard bullies. Democrats define the word fair as getting everything they want while the opposition is left with nothing but having to deal with it. But unfortunately for them their bullying tactics don’t work on President Trump.
