DEMOCRATS REMAIN COMMITTED TO THEIR "WAR ON WOMEN" STRATEGY...

Demonstrating that she is more than just a few sandwiches short of a picnic, DEMOCRAT, Carolyn Maloney declared this past Wednesday that the House Republican version of the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) is “just another assault in what has sadly and surely become known as the Republican war against women.” This dolt went on to say, “I would say the indifference in this bill towards some – just some – is as chilling and callous as anything I have seen come before this Congress in modern times.” Maloney was spewing her latest drivel during some DEMOCRAT press conference, that was called to urge the passage of the Senate version of the VAWA. Hours later, the House passed its bill to renew the VAWA for five years, by a 222-205 vote.

Now I suppose that with the current mentality being demonstrated by those in the White House, it should come as no surprise here that there has been a threat made to veto the legislation. “To actually exclude coverage for LGBT [lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people], for Native Americans – do they not bleed and bruise and are injured just as much as anyone else?” Maloney stated. “And is it not the responsibility of our government – a prime responsibility – to protect our citizens?” And in what was a blatant lie she said, “The Republican bill actually rolls back those protections, excludes those protections." She ranted on, “It’s just another assault in what has sadly and surely become known as the Republican war against women."

A Senate bill renewing the VAWA passed last month by a vote of 68-31, with 15 Republicans, most likely some "can't we all get along" RINOs, signing on. Unlike the Senate version, the House bill does not include language explicitly prohibiting discrimination against LGBT people or relating to specific protections for Native American women. But Rep. Sandy Adams (R-Fla.), the lead sponsor of the House version and a victim of sexual abuse herself, said the bill was “victim-centered.” Providing what sounds to me like a very rational explanation regarding the approach being taken here, it was during an earlier Republican press conference that Ms. Adams said, “As we look to reauthorize VAWA we want to make sure that we’re not politicizing this issue but just reauthorizing it."

Also taking part in the DEMOCRAT event was yet another certified moron, Rep. Gwen Moore, DEMOCRAT, who said that she too has been a victim of sexual abuse. “As a woman of color I am particularly aggrieved that this bill ignores the special circumstances of women who are minorities, women who are in the shadows,” said Moore, who said she was raped and nearly choked to death. She urged House members to take up the Senate version of the bill, “and stop playing games with the lives of women.” She too has hopped on the crazy train, proclaiming that, “This is yet another – they don’t want to hear us talk about it being a war on women, but I mean this is a direct assault on women’s lives.” Adding that, “Three women a day die from victimization and I would implore my colleagues to stop playing games.” Show me the numbers!

Ok, so I ask you, who is it that sounds like more of a flaming loon here, Ms. Adams the Republican, or either of these two DEMOCRAT cows? I think that's pretty obvious! And I'm more than a little confused here, when exactly did lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people start being classified as "women"? I yearn for the old day when men were men and women were actually women. And I guess I'm also having a difficult time here in trying to figure out how it is that the DEMOCRATS can somehow manage to turn this into another example of what they continually try to portray as some mythical war on women that they say is being waged by the Republicans. Because I gotta tell ya, from where I'm sitting the only ones taking part in anything that could be described as being a war on women, would be those who call themselves DEMOCRATS!
