WELL I GUESS IF "BJ" CLINTON CAN BE THE FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT...

Newsweek magazine, a rag that I stopped reading quite a number of years ago, has unveiled the cover of their next issue. And what should be to no ones surprise, that is unless you've been living under a rock, on the cover is Barry "Almighty" with, of all things, a rainbow-striped halo with a headline that boldly proclaims, “The First Gay President.” Anyone with even an ounce of brain power should be able to recognize the fact that our supposed "mainstream" media conglomerate is nothing more than a wholly owned subsidiary of the Democrat Party. And as such Newsweek's decision to plaster Barry on its cover as well as it's idiotic choice of caption demonstrates very clear that we can again expect pretty much the same level of journalistic 'support' for Barry that we were witness to back in 2008. And this is only the beginning. As we get closer to the election we can expect to subjected to all manner of idiocy as those in the media attempt to once again divert attention away from Barry's lack of a substance.

The accompanying article was written by none other Andrew Sullivan, who we all know, or should by now, is very openly gay. Newsweek forwarded a preview of Sullivan’s piece to Politico:
"It’s easy to write off President Obama’s announcement of his support for gay marriage as a political ploy during an election year. But don’t believe the cynics. Andrew Sullivan argues that this announcement has been in the making for years. “When you step back a little and assess the record of Obama on gay rights, you see, in fact, that this was not an aberration. It was an inevitable culmination of three years of work.” And President Obama has much in common with the gay community. “He had to discover his black identity and then reconcile it with his white family, just as gays discover their homosexual identity and then have to reconcile it with their heterosexual family,” Sullivan writes."

The full piece is not yet available, but Sullivan weighed in on Obama’s announcement in a blog post last week:
"I think of all the gay kids out there who now know they have their president on their side. I think of Maurice Sendak, who just died, whose decades-long relationship was never given the respect it deserved. I think of the centuries and decades in which gay people found it impossible to believe that marriage and inclusion in their own families was possible for them, so crushed were they by the weight of social and religious pressure. I think of all those in the plague years shut out of hospital rooms, thrown out of apartments, written out of wills, treated like human garbage because they loved another human being. I think of Frank Kameny. I think of the gay parents who now feel their president is behind their sacrifices and their love for their children.
The interview changes no laws; it has no tangible effect. But it reaffirms for me the integrity of this man we are immensely lucky to have in the White House. Obama’s journey on this has been like that of many other Americans, when faced with the actual reality of gay lives and gay relationships. Yes, there was politics in a lot of it. But not all of it. I was in the room long before the 2008 primaries when Obama spoke to the mother of a gay son about marriage equality. He said he was for equality, but not marriage. Five years later, he sees – as we all see – that you cannot have one without the other. But even then, you knew he saw that woman’s son as his equal as a citizen. It was a moment – way off the record at the time – that clinched my support for him."

Mr. Sullivan seems perfectly willing to discount entirely that this 'evolution' of Barry's, that is now said to have taken place, is some sort of political ploy. He says that we're, speaking for all gays I suppose, immensely lucky to have Barry in the White House. He tries to make the claim that Barry's announcement has been in the making for years. But Barry has always been in favor of gay marriage, but it was just one more thing that he, with the help of the state-controlled media, was able to keep below most people's radar. He was in favor of it as far back as 1996, and has continually altered that stance as needed during various election cycles. Mr. Sullivan is fooling himself if he thinks Barry possess any genuine concern about gays. Barry's only concern is how he can best manipulate people into voting for him, and this 'coming out' of his clearly demonstrates just how calculating Barry can be. I find it a little sad that Mr. Sullivan can be so easily hoodwinked by a guy who really could not care less about those of his particular sexual orientation.

Look, no offense to Mr. Sullivan and gays everywhere, but it would seem to me that there are much more important issues the are in desperate need of discussing, than whether or not gays can marry. And this whole topic of 'discussion', as was the 'discussion' on free contraceptives, is nothing more than another example of the purest form of political pandering. And if gays can't recognize that fact then they have a much bigger problem than whether or not they should be permitted to marry. Because I'll tell ya what, if Barry is elected to another four years, our country simply will not survive. It will bring about an economic and financial collapse the magnitude of which we have never seen before, and it will be catastrophic for gays and straits alike. If gays, such as the afore mentioned Mr. Sullivan, were as smart as the profess themselves to be, they would ally themselves with groups such as the Tea Party and work very diligently to ensure the defeat of Barry. But I think they are blinded by their own desire. And rather selfish!

I think it all boils down to is the simple matter of what your priorities are. And I find it a little unsettling that out of all that's going on today, Mr. Sullivan sees the issue of gay marriage as being the one that's most important. And as such, I'd have to say that his priorities are, therefore, more than just a little skewed. Frankly, I just don't understand his logic as I think he's missing the bigger picture here. Because it should be obvious that a second Barry term would be a disaster. It would, in fact, guarantee that this country would come apart at the seams. With Barry remaining in the wheelhouse, there is little doubt that we would go over the cliff that we are now rapidly approaching. Which makes this supposed "evolving" of Barry all the more transparent. I think most gays are smart enough to figure out that we simply cannot continue the way we have been going for the last 3+ years. It's simply a fiscal impossibility. So the question is, what's more important to them, their economic survival, or their ability to get married?
