It was during a sometimes-raucous session of something being comically referred to as the "For the People" Jobs Initiative tour, that we saw a key member of that unique, and somewhat strange, little congressional clique known as the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) tell an audience in Detroit Tuesday that the only reason that the CBC doesn't put any pressure on Barry "Almighty" is because he is so loved by black voters. But at the same time, the ethically challenged Rep. Maxine Waters said members of the CBC are becoming increasingly tired and frustrated by Barry's performance, or lack of, on the issue of jobs. Even as she expressed support for the president, Waters demonstrated a certain level of desperation as she almost pleaded with the crowd to "unleash us" to pressure Barry "Almighty" for action. "We don't put pressure on the president," Waters told the audience at Wayne County Community College. "Let me tell you why. We don't put pressure on the president because ya'll love the president. You love the president. You're very proud to have a black man -- first time in the history of the United States of America. If we go after the president too hard, you're going after us." Can you believe this drivel? So just because this guy is black he deserves to be allowed to destroy this country?
This moron went on to tell the fired-up crowd that voters must “unleash” the Democrats on Barry "Almighty" before criticizing him for not visiting any “black community” during his taxpayer subsidized Midwest bus tour: “When you tell us it‘s alright and you unleash us and you tell us you’re ready for us to have this conversation, we’re ready to have the conversation. The Congressional Black Caucus loves the president too," Waters babbled. "We‘re supportive of the president but we’re getting tired ya’ll…we’re getting tired. And so, what we want to do is…we want to give the president every opportunity to show what he can do and what he’s prepared to lead on. We want to give him every opportunity…but our people are hurting. The unemployment is unconscionable. We don’t know what the strategy is. We don‘t know why on this trip that he’s in the United States now, he’s not in any black community…we don’t know that.” Y'all? So I can't help but find myself being ever so eager to ask these folks just how all of that "Hope and Change" is workin out for them? These are the people who continually use race as their primary method of deciding who it is that they will vote for. As demonstrated by they're voting for Barry, en masse, actual qualifications seem to matter very little, if at all, to them because it's always about nothong more than race. So really, they brought this all on themselves and have very little room to complain.
The main problem here, at least according to the esteemed Ms. Waters, is that Barry, "Mr. Change you can believe in," simply is not paying a sufficient amount of attention to the problems of black Americans. She seems to imply that that is what should be Barry's primary focus here. Funny, I thought he was supposed to be the president of all Americans, not just the black folks. Hey, what do I know. Silly me! And yet, Waters said, the president is on some jobs-promotion trip in, of all places, the Midwest, a trip, she notes, that does not include even one stop in a black community. Ms. Waters says, for shame, Barry, for shame! She's apparently quite dissatisfied, and more than a little miffed, about the fact that with an unemployment rate for black Americans nationally that is a little over 16 percent, and almost twice that in Detroit, Barry is not doing more to help out "his" people. According to her, he doesn't need to spending so much time out there in the lily white Midwest when there's so many black folks who are suffering. After all, in the last election 99 percent of them came out and voted for him and now it's time for a little payback. The see themselves as being entitled to a little preferential treatment, and expected to get some after electing a brother to the White House. And they now see that as being long over due.
As she discussed her little dilemma, that of course being her frustration with the president and her being somewhat hesitant about criticizing him lest her many black supporters turn on her, Waters proceeded to ask the crowd for its permission to have that afore mentioned, serious "conversation" with the president. Some members of the crowd immediately voiced their approval. "All I'm saying to you is, we're politicians," Waters continued. "We're elected officials. We are trying to do the right thing and the best thing. When you let us know it is time to let go, we'll let go." "Let go!" some in the audience yelled. She trying to the "right thing" and the "best thing" for who, exactly? All Americans or just blacks? Listening to Ms. Waters, is becomes apparent that the sense of entitlement in this country has become more pervasive then I thought. It's now to the point where it can safely be considered as being an epidemic. Waters attended this bizarre little gathering with her fellow racist members of Congress Reps. John Conyers, Hansen Clarke, Emanuel Cleaver, and Gregory Meeks. The panel discussion in Detroit was moderated by Jeff Johnson of TheGrio.com. The tour included a stop in Cleveland and will also go to Miami, Atlanta, and Los Angeles.
Personally, I have more than a few problems with this type of behavior coming from a sitting member of Congress. For starters, how come a sitting congresswoman can get away with referencing “our people” and not end up on the receiving end of any backlash? Second, the comments point to a division within the black community, and even among liberals, that has been brewing over the last few years. While many were excited for the historic election of a black president, an increasing number of them are upset the president hasn’t done enough for them. And third, it may be disconcerting to some to hear a Rep. admit that there are those in Congress who, despite disagreeing with the president, are keeping quiet for fear of retribution. What happened to courage? And another thing, the sheer arrogance of these sycophant black Democrats is amazing. The truly sad thing here is that they care absolutely nothing about those who make up the more unfortunate members of the black community. They habitually con these people into voting for them by doing nothing more working them up into a frenzy using incendiary racist rhetoric and claiming that they are victims of an unjust society. And then they go laughing all the way back to their big fancy homes to party with all of their rich friends.
