And now we have yet another Congressman, a Democrat, of course, in the person of Hank Johnson from Georgia, who has come out and very loudly claimed that those evil racists/terrorists "Tea Partiers" have enacted a "plan to dismantle the American government" and in the process, the country has lost its "moral compass." A Democrat talking about someone's moral compass? He can't be serious! The Democrat Party has no morals, their compass has been broken for years. Anyway, this loon goes on, "These ‘Tea Partiers,’ as willing conspirators with their so-called leadership have enacted on a plan to dismantle the American government and in the process, we have lost our moral compass," speaking with the Congressional Out of Poverty Caucus last week. I've asked this question before, what in the Hell is the "Out of Poverty Caucus?" I swear it is getting harder and harder to take these people seriously. They have shown time and time again that their primary concern is not what's best for the country, but, instead, what's best for them.
And I am sure that there is no need to mention the fact that our esteemed Mr. Johnson is black. When it comes to the Tea Party's desire to roll back the size of government and their attempt to at least slow the rate of spending, it's the blacks in Congress who go nearly apoplectic and start hurling accusations of racism. Continuing his psychotic rant, he said that, "We’re talking about the debt ceiling now instead of jobs and what’s happening to the shifting income from poor and middle class people to the extreme upper class. We’re not talking about jobs. We’re talking about a debt ceiling and what these Republican tea partiers are doing is digging a hole down in the basement so deep that there certainly is no semblance of a safety net down there." Rep. Johnson is one of those fellas who would serve himself much better if he were to simply keep his big mouth shut. Because every time he opens it up he proves beyond the shadow of any doubt just how much of an imbecile he really is. These self-serving hypocrites are out to inflict as much damage as is humanly possible not only to our economy but to our country as well.
So we found out on Sunday that the White House and congressional leaders had reached a "deal" to increase the nation’s debt limit by $2.4 trillion. And even though many Tea Party-backed Republicans in the House had expressed a certain level of opposition to the plan, in the end it passed with 130 Republicans voting for it. Personally, I'm not sure whether it's a good or bad thing. I've heard convince arguments on both side. I would have, however, liked to have it that we would be revisiting this issue "before" the next election, and if I understand things correctly is sounds like most of the spending comes in on the backend. I'm not going to question the motives of those Republicans who voted for this legislation, at least not yet. But to have idiots like this nut Johnson ranting about how people are advocating the dismantling of America, I think says much more about Mr. Johnson than it does about anyone associated with the Tea Party. He very obviously as a major screw loose and his wild, as baseless, accusations rob from him what little credibility he may at one have had. He just proves better than anyone else every could that anything he might say is simply not relevant when discussing the future of this country.
So anyway, we now know how this turned out, and many of the Tea Party-backed Republicans did in fact vote for this legislation. Barry will get to sign it as he goes off to his birthday party/fundraiser out here in Chicagoland. I think the Republicans gave him a big birthday present that may very well come back to bite them in the ass. I truly hope that I am wrong about that. We need a strong viable Republican Party if we are to be able to completely rid ourselves of such sleazy and unethical characters as this guy, Hank Johnson, and as many of his comrades as we can come 2012. Especially those in this ridiculous "Out of Poverty Caucus." These people personify all that it is wrong with this country and they make it very clear that the direction in which we are going is most definitely the WRONG direction. They're like cockroaches carrying all manner of sickness and doing their best to spread as much of their filth around as they can. Everything they touch becomes infected and only serves to weaken our country on nearly every front. They must be exterminated, politically speaking, of course.
