YET ANOTHER REASON FOR BLACKS TO VOTE FOR OBAMA...
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, numbers that I think we all realize do not represent an accurate picture of our employment situation, the biggest change in employment over the last month affected black workers. In September, the stated unemployment rate for blacks was 13.4 percent. In October, that number jumped up to 14.3 percent, an almost a full percentage point change. Using those same skewed numbers, unemployment for whites is said to have remained steady at 7 percent. Likewise, the unemployment rate remains unchanged for teenagers (23.7 percent) and adult men (7.3 percent). For Asians the rate ticked up, from 4.8 percent tp 4.9 percent. Likewise for Hispanics, from 9.9 percent to 10 percent. The unemployment rate for adult women shifted up to 7.2 percent from 7.0 percent. And, of course, overall, the unemployment rate went up from 7.8 percent in September to 7.9 percent in October.
What’s commonly referred to as being the ‘real’ unemployment rate fell slightly in October, going from 14.7 percent to 14.6 percent, according to a report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics on Friday. This rate is a more comprehensive picture of those who are unemployed or underemployed. Known as the U-6 rate, this measure combines those traditionally counted as unemployed, those counted as underemployed, holding part-time jobs for economic reasons, and those marginally attached to the labor force. It is considered to be a more comprehensive measure of the employment pictures because it includes those two additional figures along with the traditional unemployment rate – giving a more thorough look at the impact of the economy on employment. Now I don't have the ‘real’ number for black unemployment, but I think it safe to say that it is most likely higher than the 14.3 that's currently being advertised by Barry.
And yet, whenever blacks are asked what Mitt Romney can do to gain their vote the idiotic response is always something like, "He needs to turn black!" This is the mentality of the majority of those in the black community. Refusing to vote for the candidate that actually represents the best chance for them to get a job, they choose, instead, to remain loyal to one the man that has done nothing more than to make matters much worse and decreasing any chance, whatsoever, of people being able to find any sort of work. And why is that, exactly? Why, because the guy who might improve things to where blacks can actually find a job that would allow them to support their families is, WHITE. Now from where I come from that's racist. But when were talking about blacks, somehow it's not. Blacks would rather remain in poverty than vote for the guy who will actually work to get them out of poverty, that's how important race is to these people.
Sometimes I think blacks are their own worst enemy. It's difficult to see it as being any other way. I mean, let's face it, they would rather vote for almost any black candidate, unless of course his name is Allen West, than to vote for any white candidate even though by doing so might provide them with the opportunity to make a better life for themselves. They're constantly being told, by folks that know better, that they are the victims of an unjust and racist society. But the actual truth of the matter is that they are actually the victims of is their own unwillingness to think for themselves and the lacking of the necessary courage to take control of their lives and to tell those who are lying to them to go screw themselves. But let's face it, the chance of that happening is about the same as the world coming to an end on December 21. I really don't have much sympathy for anyone who is essentially the architect of their own miserable existence.
And I'll tell you something else that really pisses me off. I really get tired of always hearing about how it is that the mean old GOP just doesn't go far enough out of its way in its effort to pursue the black vote. And about how the Republican Party doesn’t do enough to entice blacks to join our ranks. That's simply idiotic. Now you would think that for blacks, joining the GOP should be an absolute no-brainer. But I gotta tell you, if all they're looking for is for someone to hold their little hand and tell them we're oh so sorry that their ancestors were subjected to slavery, then they might as well stay with the Democrats. Either they want to join us here in the 21st century, or they don't. I'm not in favor of kissing anybody's ass in order to convince them to vote for the folks who would then make it possible for them to improve all of our lives, including blacks. No one can decide for them, they need to be the ones to decide if they want to do that.
