So while Barry has made it very plain, on more than one occasion, that he has absolutely no interest in taking action on any of those things that do exist, like our $17 Trillion debt, our ‘real unemployment rate of roughly 17 percent, or admitting the fact that the Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare, should at least be delayed, he definitely has demonstrated that he has a great deal of interest in taking action on something that does not exist. Or at least the existence of which has yet to be excepted as scientific fact. That would be, of course, manmade climate change. Now that is something that Barry seems to be very much concerned about. It matters not that proof of it’s actual existence is a complete work of fiction.
So much so, in fact, that as recently as just this past Friday, Barry "Almighty" issued an executive order the purpose of which is to direct a government-wide effort to boost preparation in states and local communities for what is supposed to be the impact of global warming. The action orders federal agencies to work with states to build "resilience" against major storms and other weather extremes. For example, Barry’s order directs that infrastructure projects like bridges and flood control take into consideration climate conditions that might take place at some point in the future, which might require building structures larger or stronger. Which, as is usually the case with this guy, will, no doubt, involve much higher price tags for these projects.
According to this presidential order: "The impacts of climate change — including an increase in prolonged periods of excessively high temperatures, more heavy downpours, an increase in wildfires, more severe droughts, permafrost thawing, ocean acidification and sea-level rise — are already affecting communities, natural resources, ecosystems, economies and public health across the nation." It went on to say, "The federal government must build on recent progress and pursue new strategies to improve the nation’s preparedness and resilience." Now it seems to matters not that hurricane activity, in recent years, has been unusually low, NOAA has called it right in some time. Also, we are at a 60 year low for the number tornadoes we have.
And of course there’s no estimate of how much the additional planning, or construction, will cost, just as there never is with Barry. That’s just one of those pesky little details that Barry is not to be bothered by. Believers in the myth always seek to use natural disasters such as Superstorm Sandy to bolster their case and as being proof positive of the coming apocalypse. The White House is also setting up a task force of state and local leaders to offer advice to the federal government, with several Democratic governors having agreed to serve and at least one Republican governor, from the U.S. territory of Guam. So it becomes very obvious, very quickly, that this is really nothing more than just another self-serving, leftist cause.
In pursuing what is, essentially, nothing more than a personal war on all manner of domestically produced fossil fuels, Barry has stated that his goal is to reduce U.S. greenhouse gas emissions by 17 percent by 2020. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), which is now being allowed by Barry to operate pretty much unrestricted, is working on rules that will impose much tougher regulations on coal-burning power plants, with the goal of shutting them down. But, thankfully, at least for now, much of Barry’s climate-change agenda, has stalled in Congress, and the administration says the new order recognizes that global greenhouse gas emissions are still rising, and, therefore, making further damage from global warming inevitable.
It in a speech at Georgetown University in June, Barry then outlined executive actions that he would take to ‘require’ government and private industry to prepare for the coming effects of climate change. It was at that time that Barry said, "The question is not whether we need to act." Going on to say, "The question is whether we will have the courage to act before it’s too late." I guess my question would be, how can it be too late to act on something that most say is not even taking place? And as I asked earlier, are there not many more important issues that it may already be nearly too late to take action on? I mean really, look around you. And yet, we’re told that this supposed global threat that we now all face, requires some sort of immediate, if not sooner, action.
