OBAMACARE…THIS THING JUST KEEPS GETTIN’ BETTER AND BETTER…NOT!
Further proof that this thing called Obamacare is nowhere near being what Democrats said it would be comes to us via a Duke University health expert, who states that sixty-eight percent of privately-insured Americans may end up not being able to keep their current health coverage once Obamacare becomes fully implemented. And this, of course, is despite the fact that Barry made repeated promises that anyone who wanted to keep their plan would be able to do so. And as much as the Democrats, including Barry, would like you to believe that it’s all the fault of a few "bad apple" insurance companies, that, too, is nothing more than a lie.
And as has been recently reported in The Daily Caller, an analysis performed by healthcare economist Christopher Conover at the Center for Health Policy & Inequalities Research at Duke University found that an estimated 129 Million people could actually end up losing their previous health coverage due to a combination of factors including the cancellations of existing plans as well as changes and supposed "improvements" to existing coverage that will be required under the new healthcare law. And I think that to assume that this is simply nothing more than some sort of design flaw, is to be more than just a little naïve.
As Mr. Conover told The Daily Caller, "Bottom line: of the 189 million Americans with private health insurance coverage, I estimate that if Obamacare is fully implemented, at least 129 million (68 percent) will not be able to keep their previous health care plan either because they already have lost or will lose that coverage by the end of 2014." As early as 2009, Barry made the promise, "If you like your healthcare plan, you'll be able to keep your healthcare plan. Period." Barry knew when he said it that it was nowhere near being true. And it was not a question of him misspeaking as has been claimed by the liberal rag, The New York Times.
And as we have now seen the White House has recently been essentially forced to admit that what is refers to as being a ‘small’ number of people would not be able to keep their plans. Conover said that Barry had to have known it was inaccurate to say that everyone could keep their existing health plans. "If President Obama himself believed this the first time he said it, he was poorly advised," he said. "It's pretty inconceivable that President Obama was not aware that he was engaged in some degree of truth-twisting." Barry looked each and every American square in the eye and he lied. Again, and again, and again!
Conover went on to give a further breakdown of the figures, saying that between 18 and 50 million people will have their existing plans entirely taken away, including 9.2 million to 15.4 million in the non-group, or individual, market and 9 million to 35 million in the employer-based market. The rest, he said, will retain their old plans but have to pay considerably higher rates for Obamacare-mandated "bells and whistles." He added, "It's true that some Americans will end up with cheaper coverage, but not the vast majority. Study after study shows premiums on average will be higher in the non-group, small group and even large group markets."
So with it now being so painfully obvious that Barry lied, I find myself being a bit curious about how many of those who will now lose their health insurance plans, voted for Barry. And I wonder if they might now be rethinking the wisdom of that decision. There has always been a mountain of evidence that made it very clear that that which Barry is so desperate to bring about here in America, i.e., government control of healthcare, has never worked anywhere that it has ever been tried. So how do we stop it? Americans are going to be required to rise up or, as a consequence of not doing so, be saddled with that is, essentially, a third world healthcare system.
