While at a recent campaign stop in Iowa our ‘Dear Beloved Leader, Mr. Smooth, lampooned the recently-completed Republican National Convention describing it as being better-suited to an era of “black-and-white TV“ and ” trickle-down, you’re on your own” economics Saturday, saying Mitt Romney “did not offer a single new idea” to fix the economy. First of all I thought our Liar-in-Chief hadn’t watched last weeks festivities in Tampa. Must be he had his flunkies tune it. And second he can say what he wants about the era of “black-and-white TV”, but his ideas all spring forth directly from the golden age of radio. That the government is to be the sole arbiter of rights and privileges, and make all the important decisions regarding how we live our lives.
Anyway, Barry said, chuckling in his own unique and smug way, “There was a lot of talk about hard truths and bold choices, but no one actually told you what they were.” This event was one of the first as Barry has now he set out on a three-day tour of certain battleground states in the run-up to the Democrat convention next week in Charlotte, North Carolina and prior to his being bothered with having to make time to visit those devastated by Hurricane Isaac. It was at this same campaign even that Barry said, the Republican gathering was so rooted in the past, there should have been a rabbit-ears antenna on the convention hall. Barry must think that we think he’s as clever as he seems to think he is.
Yet even the site of Barry’s convention, serves as a rather unwelcome reminder to the Democrats of an economy so weak that it threatens his chances for re-election. Barry carried North Carolina in 2008, but the state’s unemployment rate is pegged at 9.6 percent, well higher than the nation’s 8.3 percent and tied with next-door South Carolina for fifth from the bottom. Barry said the Republicans have a very simple premise, that being of course ‘that it’s all Obama’s fault.’ Well, for anyone who bothers to look back over the past 4 years, I think it’s rather difficult, if not impossible to come to any other conclusion. It is his fault, there’s simply no other way to say it. As Rep. Allen West so aptly put it, he’s serving up a crap sandwich.
Because Barry is either living in complete denial, or lying to us through those pearly whites of his. It’s been Barry who has spent us into near default, handing money out to one political crony after another. It’s Barry’s fault that gas prices are twice as high as they were when he came into office, because he refuses to allow drilling. It’s Barry’s fault that we’re paying higher and higher prices for medical care, while having less control of it, because he, and just about every other Democrat, forced the Democrat wet dream of government controlled healthcare down our throats. And he’s told us all that the private sector is doing just fine and that the millions of hard working Americans who have worked hard to create and grow small businesses, are told that they couldn’t have done it without lots of help from…the government.
There are many other examples of how it is Barry’s fault why this country is in the shape that it is. But they are far to numerous for me to be able to list here. And all of the smug little chuckles and smooth little speeches of Barry’s simply will not, nor can they, change that fact. Now people can believe the idiotic drivel that Barry continues to spew, and oh so smoothly, or they can look at the wallets when they fill up their cars, or go to the grocery store, or go to the doctor’s office, or for those of us who still actually pay taxes, they can look at the wallets every April 15. Barry is a fraud, and a very skilled one. And above all else he is a very capable liar, able to convince many of those who listen to him that he’s telling the truth, but he’s not.
