QUESTION: WHAT’S THE REAL PRIORITY FOR THOSE LIVING IN ‘SWING’ STATES...IS IT JOBS, OR IS IT SOMETHING ELSE? JUST ASKIN…

Ok listen up everybody, I’m only gonna say this once. It’s a fact that unemployment rates rose in more than half of all the U.S. states last month, a little fact that’s the latest bit of evidence that indicates that hiring continues to remain tepid, to say the least, all across the country. In fact it was Barry’s own Labor Department that has said, just this past Friday, that unemployment rates increased in 26 states, fell in 12 states and remained unchanged in the other 12. And, AND, unemployment also rose in seven out of those 11 key so-called ‘swing’ states in this year’s presidential election. And, just a side note here, what do you wanna bet that those 12 states that saw a decline, have Republican governors. I don’t know for sure, but if I was a betting man, I’d be willing bet that most, if not all, of them do.

Now, we know that nationwide employers added only 96,000 jobs in the month of August. That number was well below July’s gain of 141,000 and the average of 226,000 jobs a month added in the January-March quarter. The U.S. unemployment rate fell to 8.1 percent last month from 8.3 percent in July. But the ONLY reason that occurred was because so many people simply gave up looking for work. And since the government only counts people as unemployed if they are actively searching for jobs we saw a decrease that was pretty much meaningless. In August, unemployment increased in several competitive states in this year’s presidential race. The rate in Michigan rose to 9.4 percent from 9 percent. The rate ticked up a tenth of a point to 12.1 percent in Nevada, which has the highest unemployment in the nation.

GOP nominee Mitt Romney campaigned in Nevada on Friday. Unemployment rates also rose in five other battleground states: Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, New Hampshire and Iowa. Still, unemployment was flat in three closely contested states that are rich in electoral votes: Florida, Virginia and Ohio. The rate in Florida held steady at 8.8 percent. Florida also recorded the second-highest job gain in the nation last month, adding 23,200 jobs. Ohio’s rate stayed at 7.2 percent, and unemployment in Virginia was unchanged at 5.9 percent. Both rates also stayed well below the national average, as did the rates in Iowa (5.5 percent), New Hampshire (5.7 percent) and Wisconsin (7.5 percent). Colorado was the only swing state to see a decline in unemployment in August. The rate fell to 8.2 percent from 8.3 percent in July.

I’m so confused. Barry "Almighty", the greatest job killer since Jimmy Carter, is leading in all of these supposed swing states. And for the life of me, I can’t seem to figure out why. Do the people living in these states actually want four more years of the same horrific policies that have come about in the last four years? Or, are all of these people simply that much ‘better off’ today than they were back on January 20, 2009? Because if they aren’t, then I sure can’t figure out why they’d want another four years of Barry "Almighty". No one’s going to argue that the economy wasn’t on a downward path when Barry assumed office. But if you remember, the economy was headed downward when George Bush came into office too, and it was absolutely comatose when Reagan came into office, after four years of Carter.

And where Reagan, and to a lesser degree Bush, took the appropriate steps and succeeded in getting thing turned around, Barry has taken completely the opposite approach and has only succeeded in making things very much worse. So where is the incentive to give this guy whose apparent desire is to bring about and total economic collapse, another four years to accomplish jut that? What about this is so difficult to understand? On one hand you have a guy who has no interest, whatsoever, in creating an environment conducive to an economic recovery. And on the other hand you have a guy whose desire it is to do everything possible to create just such an environment. And it’s the first guy who’s leading in the polls. That’s absolutely crazy! Is it me? I just do not see the logic in putting a guy like Barry back in office. It’s nuts!
