ANOTHER LOONY HOLLYWOOD LIBERAL…

So here we have yet another one of those clueless individuals who appears to have no problem whatsoever with those who insist upon trampling on our Constitution. This time around it’s Tony Shalhoub, who, I must admit, I used to be a big fan of going all the way back to his days on “Wings”. Tony seems to have some rather peculiar ideas about the right to freedom of speech in this country. Apparently he is of the opinion that it should be rather selective when it comes to determining who has and who does not have, that particular ‘right’. Shalhoub, who starred as private detective Adrian Monk in the TV series “Monk,” which I was never a fan of, said in a recent interview that he was “horrified” by the Supreme Court’s decision in Citizen United, which said the government could not restrict political speech by corporations.

Shalhoub said, “I was horrified by the Citizens United judgment. I think there is so much money in politics now. We need to begin to dial that back. The First Amendment, you know, it’s a bit of a slippery slope because it really becomes more about dollars than about the First Amendment itself.” When asked if he thought there should be any limitations on speech, Shalhoub said no, but that there should be limits on the money spent on political campaigns. “Well, no, there shouldn’t be a limit on speech, but there should be a limit on the money that is spent. Because then, in the end, it just becomes, ultimately it will become the guy with the most money and most backing wins. It’s dollars over the actually voice of the people.” Apparently Shalhoub thinks it’s just one side who should be permitted to spend money.

I wonder if this moron would see things the same way if he were to be dropped straight into someplace like Tehran, Havana, or Caracas. How might he feel then about our First Amendment rights? Look I think that we are all well aware, or we should be, of just much money via the state-controlled media, Hollywood movie and television limousine liberals as well as government schools/teachers unions, to name just a few, spend on effort to spread Democrat SCUM (Socialist Communist Utopian Marxist) propaganda. It’s nothing short of billions of dollars every year. And Shalboub is only spewing what is nothing more than the standard Hollywood line. Democrats and their liberal/progressive/socialist/Marxist supporters are determined in their effort to not allow any dissenting opinion to their ideological propaganda.

But facts are facts. And it is a fact that for over the last 20 years, unions of every sort have spent almost 2 billion to elect Democrats. And that support has been nearly 97% to 3% in favor of Democrats, and that’s only direct contributions, indirect it would be much more. But the Citizens United wasn't about "dollars", what it was about, and why the Democrats are so much against it, is allowing the business community being permitted to defend itself against the rampant lies perpetrated against it by the Democrat Party. It allows big business to present the other side of the coin so that people can actually hear BOTH sides of the issues. And Democrats view that as being totally unacceptable. We the people must never be permitted to hear BOTH sides of the truly important issues, only the Democrat side.

Because, to Democrats, having an informed electorate familiar with both the workers unions/lawyers side and the business side of issues so that they can then make their OWN decision, should not even be an option. This election serves as being the perfect example. When Romney brings up what he would do regarding the economy, ideas that Democrats, including Barry, have a hard time refuting, they simply resort to attacking his character or his right to say something that counters their ideas. Most of those on the left are interested in nothing more that the getting of their "team" to electoral victory and are therefore willing to sacrifice things like having both sides being able to argue their side of things in a civil manner. They seem to forget, if the U.S. doesn't maintain the heights to which we have climbed, ALL boats sink, not just the boats of the few people in charge.

What people seem to have forgotten is the fact that the oligarchy that was in charge in back in Soviet Union had their mansions, their planes, their cars and so on, while it was the people like you and me who had to line up for things like bread, potatoes or even toilet paper. Workers rights worked so well over there, right. Look at the political platform of the old Soviet Union and then look at the platform being advanced by Barry “Almighty” and today’s Democrat Party. Even the language, (FORWARD) is eerily similar, almost identical in fact. I just wish that people like Shalhoub just keep their nutty ideas to themselves. Because they really have no basis in any fact and they are completely removed from what makes this country so unique. Maybe if Shalhoub doesn’t like it here he should relocate to someplace in Europe, where he’d be lucky to be selling pencils on a street corner.
