THERE SEEMS TO BE A BIT OF A DISCONNECT ON 'TEAM OBAMA'...
Ok, now let's see if we can sort things out, shall we. It was on CBS's "This Morning" on Wednesday, tat we heard Barry "Almighty" campaign adviser Robert 'Dumb As A Brick' Gibbs doing his best to defend 'Slow Joe' Biden's comment that the middle class has been "buried" for the past four years by essentially doing nothing more than to blame Bush. Gibbs said, "We had eight years of horrific economic decisions: Tax cuts for the very wealthy, Wall Street writing its own rules. It culminated in an economic disaster that took place about four years ago, of which we've had to dig out from each day of the last four years." Gibbs said. Our favorite moron then went on to say, "Let's be clear, the middle class has been buried for a lot longer than the time that we've been dealing with bad economic decisions from the former administration."
Meanwhile over on MSNBC "Morning Joe" today, we heard from deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter who also weighed in on 'Slow Joe's' "buried" comment controversy. "We’re absolutely not doing that," Stephanie Cutter said on MSNBC’s "Morning Joe." "In fact, we’re taking credit for the 5.1 million private-sector jobs that have been created over the past four years despite being handed the worst economy since the Great Depression. We’re taking credit for the million jobs that were protected under the president’s efforts to save the auto industry and the increase in manufacturing jobs for the first time in decades. We’re not blaming our predecessor by any means, but we don’t think we should return to the same policies that crashed the economy." So now it's up to 5.1 million jobs that have been created in the private sector?
Both Gibbs and Cutter were responding to questions about a speech delivered by old 'Slow Joe' Biden on Tuesday, in which he said the middle class had been "buried" over the past four years and suggesting that Romney would return the country to the economic policies of Bush. According to Ms. Cutter, "If you look at what the vice president said, and what he’s been saying on the campaign trail, is that the middle class has been buried by the exact same policies Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan want to go back to." She went on to say, "You shouldn’t be cutting taxes for those at the top and asking the middle class to pay for it. You shouldn’t be undoing reforms on Wall Street that will prevent another taxpayer bailout. Those are the exact policies that crashed our economy in the first place." Come on, is that not a bunch silly gibberish.
The fact that either demonstrates just how ignorant of the actual facts a majority of Americans remain, or how successful Barry has been able in conning them, polling data has consistently found Americans continue to blame Bush for the nation’s economic woes. A June poll found that 68 percent of Americans actually place a great or moderate amount of blame on the former president. Only 52 percent blame Barry. Now anybody who can look back at the last four years at all that Barry has done to, quite literally, wreck this economy and is still able to come to the conclusion that it's all Bush's fault is either a complete moron or black. Granted, Barry might have been dealt a bad hand, but all he has done since day one is to whine about it and make it so much worse. This pathetic loser needs to suck it up and take a little responsibility, it's called leadership!
