You see, Barry's claim isn't quite true, at least according to the Princeton professor who's mentioned in Barry's little email, Prof. Harvey Rosen. And Prof. Rosen states in a email of his own, in a response of a sort, that Barry's campaign is misrepresenting, or LYING about, his paper on Romney's tax plan. It's in his email that he says: I can’t tell exactly how the Obama campaign reached that characterization of my work. It might be that they assume that Governor Romney wants to keep the taxes from the Affordable Care Act in place, despite the fact that the Governor has called for its complete repeal. The main conclusion of my study is that under plausible assumptions, a proposal along the lines suggested by Governor Romney can both be revenue neutral and keep the net tax burden on taxpayers with incomes above $200,000 about the same. That is, an increase in the tax burden on lower and middle income individuals is not required in order to make the overall plan revenue neutral.
So you see, as desperate as guys like Gibbs are in their effort to portray Romney as being the liar here, it's again their guy who demonstrates that he is the one who has great difficulty with telling the truth. And I have to give Prof. Rosen credit for being willing to come forward and point out the fact that what Barry is so busy claiming, just isn't true. But this type of behavior is really nothing new for Barry. He's done nothing but lie to us for the last 4 years. In fact, his entire 2008 campaign was nothing but one lie after another, as has been his 2012 campaign. In his continuing attempt to avoid talking about his record of the last four years, it appears that his main tactic has now become one of trying to destroy Romney, personally. In other words, I think it fair to say that typical Chicago-style politics is now being fully implemented.
