Since the evening of the first debate, we have continued to hear all manner of excuse from just about everybody in an attempt to explain Barry's rather lackluster performance. And those excuses have run the gamut, from not wanting to appear as the angry black man, to his being distracted even to his possibly being ill with the flu, but Barry has now come out with his own excuse for his debate debacle. Barry defended his debate performance last week by saying that he "was just too polite." Barry was asked about the debate on racist Tom Joyner’s Morning Show earlier this morning, according to the Huffington Post. Barry seemed to want to downplay the previous debate while instead focusing forward and seeming to be quite eager to demonstrate some new found cockiness regarding how he intends to approach the two remaining debates.
"Well, two things. I mean, you know, the debate, I think it’s fair to say I was just too polite, because, you know, it’s hard to sometimes just keep on saying and what you’re saying isn’t true," Barry said in response to the question. "It gets repetitive. But, you know, the good news is, is that’s just the first one. Governor Romney put forward a whole bunch of stuff that either involved him running away from positions that he had taken, or doubling down on things like Medicare vouchers that are going to hurt him long term." Our presidential thug continued as if wanting to sound like maybe he was making some sort of a thinly veiled threat, "And, you know, I think it’s fair to say that we will see a little more activity at the next one." So is this his little way of telling Romney he best watch out? Maybe he thinks he's back in Chicago and can intimidate Gov. Romney.
But let's face it, what Barry has done in the last four years is nearly impossible to defend. The only hope he has is that there are remain a significant number of folks who remain gullible enough to believe all of the lies that are sure to be coming. Personally, I think Romney is able to walk into these debates with far more ammunition against Barry than what Barry will have against him. All Barry has are his typical personal attacks, Romney has substance on his side. Because none of what Barry has done during the last four years can stand up to even the slightest amount of scrutiny. All Romney has to do is to properly articulate the sheer idiocy of all that Barry has proposed in the past and is still proposing today. Be it his failed energy policies, or his economic policies that have done nothing more than to make a bad situation worse, Barry really doesn't have a leg to stand on.
