Whenever I hear Democrats talking about how their ‘values’ are the same values possessed by most patriotic Americans, I just have to shake my head. Because the ‘values’ possessed by most Democrats certainly are not my ‘values’. Such as the value of open borders or the value of abortion. Or the value of homosexual marriage and adoptions or the value of blaming all of the world's problems on whites. Or the value of disarming innocent gun owners so that they can't defend themselves? Again, these are not the values that I possess, but they are the ‘values’ of most Democrats.
Which brings me to a recent gathering that took
place just this past Monday in San Diego. It was something called the
Association for Talent Development (ATD) Conference and ex-president Barry ‘O’,
for whatever reason, was in attendance.
And it was while at this ‘conference’ that Barry ‘O’ was heard to describe
how he got “worried about our country,” and claimed that “our values are not
being upheld.” Barry said, “When I get
worried about our country, or the world, it is not around a particular issue.” And he continued, “I worry when our values
are not being upheld.”
Barry added, “Our democracy, just like any
organization, can’t work if, for example, we don’t insist on facts. Like, facts
are really useful. We can’t make good decisions if we don’t at least agree on
the facts. We can all have different opinions, but we have to believe that this
is a table. I mean this in all seriousness. It is important for us to make
sure, regardless of our political proclivities, that the values underlying this
great country don’t get eroded because, situationally, in this particular
circumstance, it’s convenient for us to abandon our values to get what we want.”
And he went on to say, “That kind of short-term
thinking, which by the way, has happened on both sides of the political aisle
on occasion, that kind of short-term thinking carries grave consequences
because democracy is not something that happens automatically. It is something
that has to be nurtured and practiced. And our kids do watch what we do. If
they see, you know what adults aren’t honest, or they make excuses, or they try
to get out of stuff, or they distort things or so on and so forth, over time,
we’ll pay a price for that.” Very odd
remarks coming from Barry.
Barry says we all have to agree on the facts? But what facts, exactly, might he actually be
referring to? I mean, does he mean facts
like the using of a paid for piece of Russian propaganda in order to obtain a
warrant that then allows you to spy on your political opponent? Or perhaps does he mean facts like the using of
the IRS to politically eliminate, and/or harass, your opposition? Or facts like how it was that Hitlery was
essentially allowed to destroy hard drives to cover up her many crimes? Are any of these ‘facts’ perhaps an example
of what Barry might be talking about?
What we have in Barry ‘O’ is someone who is really little
more than a serial liar. And a man who,
as president, set about to deliberately bankrupt the United States and who,
also quite deliberately, did all that he could to sabotage America’s economy
with deliberate burdensome laws and thousands of regulations, and by getting us
in unfair trade deals and bogus ‘climate change’ deals such as Paris climate
accord! And a man who waged war, using
his EPA, on America’s coal and oil industries! No foreign enemy has ever done as much damage
to the United States as Barry was able to do.
And I ask you, was Barry worried about this nation
when he stood at the caskets of four dead American heroes and lied to their
family? Did he care about this nation
when he spied on reporters or used the FBI and IRS to go after political
opponents and some in the media? Or how
about the doubling of our national debt, the gutting our military, and the destroying
of our economy and healthcare? Was he
worried when he backed the Moslem Brotherhood uprising, the expansion of war in
Syria, the fall of security in Iraq or the spread of ISIS from two to 26
countries? Doubtful.
I’m really sick of Barry’s supposed concern about ‘American
values,’ as if he cares what those values actually are. He, like most Democrats, always insist that it’s
the values that they hold near and dear that are most in need of being
safeguarded. They never consider those
uniquely American values of family, faith, patriotism, hard work and personal responsibility. In other words, those values that made this
country what it is and has always been.
Those of the left, like Barry, view such values as being silly, outdated
and as being little more than a reflection of those days gone by.
Let’s face it, Barry remains the primary reason that Trump was elected. And I firmly believe that had Barry never been elected president, Trump would have never even been in the running to become president. Yet despite his coming into office with the flimsiest of resumes, Barry could have been a truly transformative president. But instead he allowed himself to be ruled by his leftwing ideology and over the course of his eight years in office Barry did such a horrible job, and on nearly every front, that Donald Trump ended up being in exactly the right place at exactly the right time.
