WHEN REPUBLICANS CHOOSE TO ‘SELF-IDENTIFY’ AS DEMOCRATS…

After years of promising us that they would bring an end to one of most horrendous pieces of legislation ever to be forced upon the American people, and one that was ‘passed’ in the dark of night and by using some of most devious political tactics imaginable, we’re now finding out that many of those promises were made with there being no intention of them being kept.  Now I suppose we should have known all along that they were never serious about repealing Obamacare, and maybe we bear some of the responsibility for this current debacle because we believed them.  But that does little to alter the fact that Obamacare has cause far more damage than any benefit that it may have provided.  And I realize that there are many who are ready to throw in the towel when it comes to voting for Republicans ever again.  I would only ask that they resist from throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

So we know that Mitch McConnell failed to garner the support needed to pass the motion to proceed on the watered-down version of the Obamacare repeal bill just after 1:30 a.m. Friday morning.  The attempt failed because three RINOs, John McCain, Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins, opted to identify as Democrats, joining with the other 48 Democrats in voting against the measure.  While the failure to get the necessary votes comes as yet another blow to McConnell, it once again demonstrates very clearly that he lacks any real leadership ability.  We’re told that he struggled for months to get members of his party to come to a consensus on replacement language.  But is that the action of a true leader?  And after months of negotiations, Republican lawmakers were unable to come to a consensus on key provisions, including how to handle cuts to Medicaid in expansion states and whether they should defund Planned Parenthood.

And what does it say about these three RINOs when you have someone like Chuckie Schumer heaping praise on them for their votes against the ‘skinny’ Obamacare repeal.  Chuckie said that he and McCain “have been friends for a very long time, ever since the Gang of Eight, which we put together. And I have not seen a senator who speaks truth to power as strongly, as well, and as frequently as John McCain. The very same courage he showed as a Naval Aviator in Vietnam, he showed last night, and has shown time and time again.”  He added, “And certainly not to be forgotten, of equal praise, are Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski. They were amazing. And, women are, in so many instances, stronger than men. They brag less about it, but they are. And last night sort of proved that. And as somebody who is in a family of strong women, I very much appreciate their strength, their courage, and their dedication to principle, despite the entreaties.”  Gag me with a spoon!

The so-called “skinny repeal”, which was aimed at repealing the aspects of Obamacare that all factions of the conference agreed upon while leaving large portions intact — was a last-ditch effort by leadership hoping to use the bill as a vehicle to conference with the lower chamber.  Despite McConnell having long been lauded as being some sort of a legislative wizard, his powers of persuasion fell far short with this trio of his fellow RINOs, all of whom have been quite vocal about their issues with the process and bill text.  And sadly we’re saddled with both Collins and Murkowski until 2020 upon which time we will hopefully be able to get rid of both of them, McCain we will likely be losing before the end of the year, which still provides him with more than enough time to wreak much more havoc in his effort to cause trouble for President Trump.  McCain is another one of those who would rather side with Democrats than see Trump achieve any level of success.

It became evident around midnight, as the vote continued to be delayed, that leadership was struggling to convince hesitant members to get onboard.  While an increasingly-frustrated looking McConnell and Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn, another RINO, huddled on the floor, Vice President Mike Pence partook in a lengthy discussion with McCain on the chamber floor in an attempt to coax the Arizona RINO to vote for the measure.  And while this may sound cold to some, hopefully at some point in the not too distant future the governor of Arizona will have the opportunity to appointment a replacement for McCain, one who will be more of a conservative and less of a RINO than McCain has been for some time now.  It’s too bad that such an opportunity had not yet presented itself.  McCain and his trusty sidekick from South Carolina, Lindsey Graham, have long been more of a roadblock to President Trump than they ever were for now ex-president Obummer.

Anyway, following its failure, McConnell expressed his disappointment on their failure to deliver on one of their top campaign promises.  Disappointment?  How does this vote in any way impact his ability to get quality and affordable health coverage?  In no way at all.  McConnell said, “From skyrocketing costs to plummeting choices and collapsing markets, our constituents have suffered through an awful lot under Obamacare. We thought they deserved better.”  And he went on to say, “It’s why I, and many of my colleagues, did as we promised and voted to repeal this failed law. We told our constituents we would vote that way. When the moment came, most of us did. We kept our commitments.”  ‘RINO’ McCain, who flew in from Arizona after being diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer earlier this week — told reporters, “I thought it was the right vote,” while exiting the Capitol.

And while I agree, to a certain extent, that electing Republicans to a majority in the House, then a majority in the Senate, and then the White House has not produced the outcome we had hoped for, I place a majority of the blame for this fiasco on RINOs like McCain who effectively stabbed every former supporter in the back as he again proved why he's the Democrat's favorite Republican.  This is just another example of the treachery committed by RINOs in ‘The Swamp’.  This should not be about Trump, which is what the RINOs and their Democrat friends are desperate to make it about.  What it needs to be about is the working middle class which can no longer afford healthcare and who are essentially being held hostage by the insurance companies and states that have only one insurance provider.  Obamacare has relied on government subsidies to make up for losses incurred by insurance companies, $669 Billion in 2016 alone. It's not self-supporting.

All of these pathetic RINOs are nothing more than #NeverTrumpsters who clandestinely opposed the candidate of their party in favor of Hitlery.  And make no mistake, there are more than a few #NeverTrumpsters in Congress and oddly enough they have come to believe that their sole purpose is to bring to a screeching halt anything that President Trump wants to accomplish, including the Republican promised "repeal and replace", which, as it turns out, was for seven long years nothing more than a scam to get votes.  And frankly, I find it rather sad that they seem to hate President Trump more than they love America and that they seem to care very little about their constituents.  Letting Obamacare implode on its own is nothing short of criminal, as  it punishes the working and middle classes the most.  Two groups that the RINOs hate for no other reason than because they chose to support Trump over Hitlery, the candidate they favored.

Sadly, the current crop of Republican leaders seem totally incapable of governing.  They are ‘SUPPOSED’ to be the party of smaller government.  And as such they are supposed to view the government as being the problem and never part of the solution.  They would NEVER even attempt to pass a healthcare bill because their ideology tells them that the government should not have any role in healthcare, it should be something handled entirely by the private sector.  However, this has not been the approach of our current governing party.  What this country needs in order to get headed back in to right direction is strong conservative leadership from those who are not afraid to be called ‘conservative’.  Democrats/Liberals/Progressives or whatever they may wish to call themselves must be relegated to permanent minority status and never again be allowed to achieve numbers that would allow them to gain any significant amount of political power.

Both McConnell in the Senate and Ryan in the House publicly act as if they are supporting President Trump, but behind the scenes they have both been working to undermine him practically since the day he threw his hat into the ring.  They both have spent far too many years up to their necks in ‘The Swamp’ and long ago ceased being part of any solution that would get this country back on the right track.  And I can’t be the only one who has ever wondered why it is that there is never a Democrat who dares to break ranks with his, or her, party on crucial votes, but we can always count on there being more than a few of these RINOs who are willing to stick a knife into the back of their president.  RINOs like McCain, Murkowski, and Collins deserve the Arlen Specter award for treachery.  Perhaps they could follow his example by switching parties and then dying.  But then, I suppose that’s just too much to wish for.

President Trump is a street fighter, and that was exactly what was needed in order to beat the corrupt Democrat machine, and it's STILL what's needed to clean house in our corrupt government.  You can't hire a Boy Scout to deal with a John Gotti.  You gotta get someone that CAN deal with a John Gotti.  And Trump is no less honorable than the people calling him dishonorable, and those who insist upon trying to use prior administrations as a gage for his, are wasting their time.  President Trump is honest enough to let people know what he's thinking, compared to those professional politicians who stick to messages scripted by focus-group analytics and advisors.  Trump supporters get it, those that have decided to hate Trump whatever he does either don't get it or don't want to get it.  I could do some complaining about Trump, but I wouldn't do it while others are senselessly attacking him from every direction, and for the most inane reasons imaginable.

So far, I haven't seen President Trump do anything that's particularly worthy of negative criticism.  The economy's doing reasonably well, the U.S. hasn't experienced the refugee/terrorist nonsense that's plaguing Europe, illegal immigration is WAY down, and there are other things which are genuine accomplishments, such as exposing those in the state-controlled media as frauds, exposing Democrats as frauds and criminals, and now exposing Republicans as being nothing but Democrat enablers, allowing themselves to be willingly pushed around by a party that has control of absolutely NOTHING.  The FACT is that the sort of "honorable," polite person you're thinking of would have accomplished NONE of that, and we'd still be totally ignorant about the criminal conduct of the "intelligence community" and the FBI which is now only slowly coming to light.

And on a final note, I just want to say that no matter how pissed off I know we all are right now, at many of our Republican members of Congress, the last thing we should be contemplating, and I mean the VERY last thing, is doing anything that will result in allowing the Democrats to win even one seat in the 2018 midterm elections.  What we actually need, come 2018, is a conservative revolution.  We must never allow the Democrats, or their RINO colleagues, to convince us to surrender.  We must vote for those under the Republican banner, and if those we elect to Congress refuse to fight for us then we must also replace them with someone who will.  Democrats must NEVER again be allowed to achieve any level of political power.  That, no doubt, would bring about the end of this great nation, and that is simply not acceptable.  So put aside the anger and frustration and focus.  Focus on electing only those who will make the people, and the country the priority.  Not themselves.

SADLY, THE TREACHEROUS ‘RINOS’ STILL RUN THINGS…

Well as we all know the Senate voted Wednesday afternoon against a proposal that would repeal major portions of Obamacare without a replacement legislation.  Senators voted 55-45 against the measure in a procedural vote Wednesday, which likely signals that a full, clean repeal that conservatives are pushing for could not pass the legislative body.  Seven RINOs were among those who voted against the measure: Sens. Shelley Moore Capito of West Virginia, Susan Collins of Maine, Dean Heller of Nevada, John McCain of Arizona, Rob Portman of Ohio, Lamar Alexander of Tennessee and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska.  Senators voted against a proposal to repeal and replace Obamacare Tuesday evening, called the Better Care Reconciliation Act (BCRA).  The measure failed to pass the procedural vote litmus test, garnering 57 no votes.  So once again these swamp creatures have done little more than to stick their boney fingers right into the eye of conservatives.  And laughed while doing do.

Let’s be honest, shall we, what has been made to happen to our ability to purchase affordable health insurance, is exactly what the Democrats wanted to have happen.  And if any Democrat claims otherwise, they’re lying.  Which we know is something that Democrats excel at.  Because it’s why they came up with this disaster in the first place and used every piece of political trickery available to them in their effort to get it to Obummer’s desk.  This scheme was specifically designed to bring about the Democrats highly sought single-payer healthcare system with the government in charge.  And then we have these disgustingly dishonest RINOs who are only too happy to join forces with their Democrat colleagues to help them accomplish that very thing.  We, as voters, should never vote in such a way that results in more Democrats being able to achieve positions of power.  Nor should we choose to stay home on Election Day, as that is the worst kind of negligence.

So, there are currently three proposals lawmakers are weighing: the Better Care Reconciliation Act, the bill that would institute a full, clean repeal of Obamacare without a replacement and a drastically watered down version of Obamacare repeal, called the “skinny repeal.”  Thus far, two have been shot down by senators.  The “skinny repeal” is believed to be the only way Republicans can pass a bill through the Senate to send to the House for final negotiations. The bill is likely to include a repeal of Obamacare’s individual mandate and the medical device tax — a feature that has a great deal of support in the medical lobbying industry and could help get Senate ‘leadership’ some much needed backing.  Senate ‘leadership’, if you wish to call it that, is desperate to get to 50 votes on some version of health care reform.  Our ‘leadership’ is telling wayward Republican senators that they need to pass a bill, literally any bill, so they can get to negotiations with the House.

I’m as frustrated as the next person regarding how we were first told Republicans needed the House. Then when they got that it was “they need the House ‘and’ the Senate.”  Then when they got that it was, nope, what they REALLY need is the White House.  But because even that too was not enough, the RINOS have now put the ball back into our court.  And since these seven are far from being the only RINOs that we’re forced to contend with, we must focus on making all of them extinct.  Because they are really nothing more than Democrats in disguise.  I’m sure they all had a good laugh at us when voting those many times to repeal Obamacare knowing that it was all for show.  The RINOs were more than willing to REPEAL when they knew Obummer would veto the bill, NOW when we have someone who WILL sign it, the RINOs cannot pass anything that President Trump wants.  This is angering Trump’s supporters and hopefully the RINOs will come to pay for it in the voting booth.

So call me naïve but I still believe the ONLY viable option that we have left when it comes to wrenching power away from these pathetically dishonest RINO's is to replace as many of them as we can, not with Democrats but with the most conservative Republicans we can find.  Because we simply cannot allow them to grind us down.  And we must also focus on taking out as many Democrats as we can as well.  And if those we elect also choose not to follow through with promises made, then they too will be shown the door.  So this is likely to be a rather long and painful process, to the extent which that it may very well be left to our children to finish.  And if that’s the case then we must be determined in our efforts to ensure that they understand the importance of the task.  So either we’re going to be serious about this, or we’re not.  We need to follow the old adage, “When the going gets tough, the tough get going!”  Because things are going to get tougher before the get easier.

And we can’t be having multiple Republicans competing in the same contest, because that accomplishes nothing more than to provide an easy path to victory for the Democrat in the contest.  We can try to primary them out but the primary loser may choose to run anyway and then we still lose the seat.  Which the RINOs are always quite content to see happen.  And let’s not forget that the Democrats, since they have more seats up in 2018 than Republicans, still provide a target rich environment.  So we do it in stages by replacing Democrats with conservative Republicans in 2018, and sadly the only one on the “no” list up for re-election in 2018 is Heller.  While we may want “instant” results, we must come to realize that it will take years to fix what the Leftist took decades to break.  Hence, we do what the Leftists did as they took over the Democrat party...incrementally.  Just because we don't like the Leftists doesn't mean we can’t learn from their successful tactics.

Because these RINOs seem to believe the American voters have no other option than to vote for them, they feel emboldened to do whatever they please.  But in truth, if their actions have convinced us of anything it’s that just because one has an (R) after their name it doesn’t mean they can be trusted.  And they are obviously of the opinion that they can continue to tell us exactly what we want to hear and by doing so can keep getting elected over and over.   So it is going to incumbent upon us, the conservative voters, to become a bit more diligent when selecting who it is that’s to be the recipient of our increasingly important vote.  Look, no one should think that this is going to be an easy task.  ‘The Swamp” is proving to be very deep, very toxic and full of all manner of critters whose only purpose in life, or so it would seem, is to ward off those of us who wish to drain it.  But we must not allow ourselves to be deterred from doing what we all know needs to be done.

And while I am certainly no expert on the subject of health insurance, other than being someone who has got to use it, but it would seem to me that the solution is a relatively simple one, it’s only when politicians get involved that it becomes complex.  We need to simplify health insurance, increase competition among payers by opening up business over state lines to bring down costs, Medicaid block grants to the states; and people don't need to be using insurance to cover sinus infection visits, same as you don't use your car insurance to pay for oil changes or flat tires.  The answer is not “giving” people coverage for everything whether they want it or not.  And if you are one of those who chooses not to buy insurance and you get sick, tough luck.  Same as if you don't insure your house and a tornado hits it.  But at the same time you should also not expect the rest of us to come rushing in to cover your expenses.  Because that ain’t gonna happen!

And I guess what I find the most annoying, and more than just a little disingenuous, is how I keep hearing about that millions of people will wind up ‘losing’ their health insurance if we actually succeed in repealing Obamacare.  But I can’t help wondering since when is having health insurance that you can’t afford to use, because of either exorbitant premiums or astronomical deductibles, the same as actually having affordable health insurance that you are able to use?  And those supporters of this disaster keep telling us how poll after poll shows that support is growing for Obamacare.  Really?  I can’t help wondering if these polls are being conducted by the very same folks who told us, all so confidently, that Hitlery was going to win the election in a landslide?  And too, we are constantly being told how people will die if Obamacare is repealed, but there’s never any mention of all those who died BEACAUSE of Obamacare, were their lives any less important?

PRESIDENT TRUMP CAUSES A FEW MORE HEADS TO EXPLODE…

Yes folks, those explosions that you’ve likely been hearing for most of the day, and, I imagine, will continue to hear for quite some time, are the heads exploding of liberals all across this great nation.  And why is that, you ask?  Well it’s because President Donald J. Trump announced today, via Twitter, that he is not allowing transgender people to serve in the U.S. military, a complete reversal of ex-president Obummers’s decision last year to let them serve.  In a series of tweets, President Trump said:  “After consultation with my Generals and military experts, please be advised that the United States Government will not accept or allow Transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. Military. Our military must be focused on decisive and overwhelming victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical cost and disruption that transgender in the military would entail. Thank you.”  Finally some commonsense, and I LOVE it!

The sweeping policy decision reverses the gradual transformation of the military under Obummer, whose administration announced last year that transgender people could serve openly in the military. Obummer’s Defense Secretary, Ash Carter, also opened all combat roles to women and appointed the first openly gay Army secretary.  It was not clear what prompted Mr. Trump’s announcement earlier today.  In June, the administration delayed a decision on whether to allow transgender recruits to join the military.  At the time, Defense Secretary James Mattis said an extra six months would give military leaders a chance to review its potential impact.  The president’s announcement came amid a debate on Capitol Hill over the Obummer-era practice of requiring the Pentagon to pay for medical treatment related to gender transition.  The dispute has unfolded as Congress considers a nearly $700 Billion spending bill to fund the Pentagon.

Troops earlier this year had begun receiving military training on accommodating transgender troops, but Defense Secretary Mattis this summer decided to delay allowing them to serve.  The decision also comes after Mattis issued multiple memos indicating that decisions should be based on whether it makes the military more lethal.  One memo put an end to all training that was not related to military readiness and blasted Pentagon officials for wasting as much as $28 Million on Afghan camouflage uniforms that don’t actually blend in with Afghan terrain.  All I can say is, it’s about damn time.  Thank God our country has a real Commander in Chief again.  Thank you President Trump for stopping this madness.  As someone who retired from the Navy back in 2002, all this transgender crap hadn’t come along yet.  When I was in it was during the ‘Slick Willy’s’ “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy, and personally I had no issues with that.  But that just wasn’t good enough for Obummer.

Ya know, it's so annoying when people like Obummer, and just about every other Democrat who would NEVER even consider risking life or limb for their country, go around expecting those who chose to do so to adopt something that will only increase the chances of their injury or death by pulling resources and focus away from the real training that’s required for their mission.  Obummer did everything he could to undermine and demoralize men in general, the military was an easy target for him and a high value one at that.  This was a great decision by President Trump. The military is not the place for gender or sexual politics.  It is a simple matter of fact that transgender individuals are more prone to depression and suicide and to give them guns in a stressful situation is almost certain to lead to the loss of innocent lives.  Furthermore, the American taxpayer should not be forced to subsidize the tremendous costs associated with these surgical procedures.

Just because those serving in the military are essentially little more than a captive audience, doesn’t mean that they should be exploited by Democrats trying to force their twisted morals on the rest of us.  What the vast majority of those on the left seem to forget is that the military is not there to be treated as some sort of Petri dish for kinky leftists to conduct their perverted experiments on.  The military is there as a fighting force, and the sole purpose for its existence is to keep this country safe from attack and to put the fear of God into anyone who might think that attacking the United States would be in any way a good idea.  Allowing gays and transgenders to serve does absolutely nothing to improve combat readiness.  If anything it only serves to weaken it, which is just what those on the left want to see happen.  After eight long years of having someone who was simply not up to the task of being Commander in Chief, it would appear that at last we finally do.

THE DEMOCRATS’ “BETTER DEAL”, JUST SMOKE AND MIRRORS…

I found it odd that there was nary even an honorable mention, as the Democrats’ rolled out their new “Better Deal” agenda yesterday, regarding any of those issues that the Democrat Party has truly come to stand for.  Like the issue of transgender restrooms, or open borders, sanctuary cities, homosexual rights, abortion on demand with zero limitations, single-payer healthcare, the allowing in of massive numbers of refugees from the most dangerous region on the planet that are not properly vetted or the possible Trump-Putin collusion that so many Democrats claim caused the loss of their candidate in the last presidential contest.  And while these are the issues that the Democrat Party actually stands for, this little charade that took place yesterday was nothing but an attempt on their part to convince voters otherwise.

And so it was then that yesterday the Democrats began the rolling out of their ‘new’ economic agenda, in an effort to present a more positive message to voters amid growing signs that the public is growing weary of their endless, and increasingly nutty, Russia conspiracy theories that have been at the heart of Democrat resistance since even before President Trump officially took office.  Democrats in both the House and the Senate have called the agenda “A Better Deal: Better Jobs, Better Wages, Better Future,” — a nod, I’m guessing, to the “New Deal” of Franklin Roosevelt, whose blatantly socialist policies helped the Democrats dominate the white working class vote for decades.  But this latest scam is nothing more than blatant propaganda the only purpose of which is to con the voters into voting for Democrats.

The Democrats finally appear to be coming to the realization that at least one of the reasons for their defeat in the 2014 midterms and in the 2016 presidential election was a bottoming out of support from white working class voters in places such as Michigan and Pennsylvania.   And Politico noted that it also appeared to be a shot at President Trump.   At the press conference Monday afternoon at Berryville, Virginia, Democrat House and Senate leaders, as well as high-profile Democrats such as Elizabeth Warren, attempted to sell the plan by trying to paint themselves as advocates for American workers.  But look, what was put forth yesterday is really nothing new, and really nothing that we haven’t heard before from Democrats who have repeatedly demonstrated that they are the enemy of American workers.

But be that as it may, it was at the above mentioned press conference that Chuckie Schumer said, “We are here today to tell the people of Berryville and the working people of America: Someone has your back.”  And it was Nancy Pelosi who made the claim that the last six months have shown the “toxic special interest priorities at the core of the GOP agenda.”  And it was also Pelosi who said the plan was still in formation, and they intended to listen to the American people on how best to refine it.  She went on to say, “We’ll take [our message] on the road to engage in conversation with the American people because this isn’t just about telling them what we’re advocating, it’s about listening to their concerns and how we shape this and refine it as we go forward.”

It was in an opinion piece for the New York Times published earlier Monday that Chuckie claimed that the plan was about “reorienting government to work on behalf of people and families.” He also admitted that in recent elections, “Democrats, including in the Senate, failed to articulate a strong, bold economic program for the middle class and those working hard to get there.”  And, he wrote, “Americans from every corner of this country know that the economy isn’t working for them the way that it should, and they wonder if it ever will again. One party says the answer is that special interests should continue to write the rules and that government ought to make things easier for an already-favored few.”  If I didn’t know better I’d swear he was talking about his Democrat Party as the party owned by the special interests.

And when it was liberal wackjob Elizabeth Warren’s turn at the mic and she spewed her standard anti-corporate message in her remarks and noted that the railroads had once formed monopolies that Congress had to break up with anti-trust laws.  She said, “For decades now the government has slacked off enforcement of those laws, and the result has been bigger and bigger corporations with more and more power.”  And then she went on to say, “Democrats are ready to take this challenge head-on.”  And in an opinion piece for the Crappy News Network (CNN), Democrats Cheri Bustos, David Cicilline, and Hakeem Jeffries all hailed the plan as a “bold economic agenda that works for all Americans to bring higher wages, lower costs and the tools Americans need to succeed” and laid out some of the specifics of the plan.

It was according to these economic geniuses that their plan will create millions of good-paying, full-time jobs by directly investing in our crumbling infrastructure.  And that in an effort to help small businesses thrive, Democrats will prioritize entrepreneurs over giving tax breaks to special interests.  And, of course, they will continue to argue for a minimum wage law despite all of the nasty side effects that go along with that.  Just ask the mayor of Seattle.  And they claim they will keep their promise to millions of workers who earned a pension, Social Security and Medicare so they can retire with dignity.  The plan, or so they claim, will also lower drug and education costs.  In other words, what we have here is really nothing more than Democrats promising you more ‘free’ stuff if only you’ll vote for them.

And also according to the Democrats their plan will also crack down on “monopolies and the concentration of economic power that has led to higher prices for consumers, workers and small businesses — and make sure Wall Street never endangers Main Street again.”  The plan will also, according to Democrats, offer tax incentives to employees, apprenticeships to new workers, and bring high-speed Internet across America.  And as much as Chuckie & Co. would like us all to believe that this “Better Deal” is some grand economic masterplan, there’s really nothing new in it.  And while those who routinely vote for Democrat will likely be singing the praises of this “Better Deal’ agenda, those who have become leery of Democrat promises that are rarely, if ever, kept will likely prove a bit more difficult to convince.

This move to focus on economics represents a change in tactics from the Democrats, who have largely been happy to focus on allegations of collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign in the 2016 election.  However, a number of polls — as well as three defeats for Democrats in congressional special elections — suggest that the public is rapidly losing interest in increasingly bizarre Russia conspiracy theories perpetrated by the Democrats and their many friends in the state-controlled news media.  A recent poll found that only 26 percent of voters saw Russia as their top concern. A poll in June found that two-thirds of Americans believe the FBI’s Russia investigations are “hurting the country,” and a majority believe it is time for Congress and the establishment media to “move on to other issues.”

Look, I think we all realize that the ‘REAL’ Democrat plan is to “HELP” the middle class consists of:  1. Mass immigration to drive down wages, drive up housing costs, and increase taxes, especially at the state and local level where taxes fall heavily on the middle class.  2. Tax workers and give to welfare the moochers.  3. Cold War 2.0 with Russia - economic sanctions to reduce American exports and eliminate American jobs.  4. Outsource the entire manufacturing base to China, as long as China agrees to respect Hollyweird's intellectual property rights.  5. Attack Christianity, family values, traditional marriage, American identity and national pride, and anything else that enables working class Americans to live a life of dignity.  If you believe it’s anything different than that, then there is obviously no hope for you.

And so because of this new pseudo-marketing strategy of the Democrats, we’re to throw Trump overboard, and revert back to the Obummer era of federal agency overreaching, federal lying, ignorance of immigration law, open borders, IRS preying on citizens and meddling in their healthcare, the shafting of our coal miners, holding up energy independence, suspending needed oil pipelines, coddling Islamic terrorists, and literally pissing away billions to appease Moslems.  Because all these things are “for” the American worker?  We've heard all the lies before, there’s nothing new here.  Without all of their typical hate speech the Democrats really have no agenda, without all of their radical hate groups they have no followers, without obfuscation, no speech, and without fighting Trump and his agenda, no power.

But the inconvenient truth for the Democrats, and one that they'll likely feel the sting from come our next election cycle if we remain on this course is new data being reported on by Bloomberg that reveals we're actually in the throes of a four-month high in U.S. consumer confidence.  Yes, Americans’ outlook on jobs and the economy is positive, according to data from the New York-based Conference Board.  Bloomberg reports that “with unemployment near a 16-year low and U.S. stocks reaching record highs, consumers remain upbeat, which should continue to support the household spending that accounts for about 70 percent of U.S. gross domestic product.”  Bloomberg reports that accelerated wage gains and positive fiscal projections “could propel confidence further in coming months.”  A “Better Deal”?

DOESN’T CHUCKIE SCHUMER REALIZE WE KNOW ‘EXACTLY’ WHAT HIS PARTY STANDS FOR???

After watching the Democrats, for the last eight months, focusing on nothing more than their effort to bring down our duly elected president, how is it that any reasonably intelligent person can still be able to vote for candidate who is a member of the Democrat Party?  And after hearing for months the nonsense about supposed collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians, with absolutely no evidence to support their outrageous accusations, it was just this past Saturday that we heard Chuckie Schumer saying that Democrats can only blame themselves, not Russia, for Hitlery’s loss to President Donald Trump in November.  In fact, he told the Washington Post, “When you lose to somebody who has 40 percent popularity, you don’t blame other things – Comey, Russia – you blame yourself.”  Duh!

Chuckie made this rather surprising, and quite unexpected, revelation while previewing what’s being called the Democrat Party’s campaign message heading into 2018, and seemed to imply that people are not sure what the Democrat Party stands for.  He said, “So what did we do wrong?  People didn’t know what we stood for, just that we were against Trump. And still believe that.”  The Democrat Party is now calling their new plan for 2018, “A Better Deal” and is meant to contrast the president’s economic message.  Nancy Pelosi, who faced a challenge from Democrat Tim Ryan for her leadership position earlier this year, agreed with Chuckie.  She told the Washington Post, in a separate interview, that the new slogan was not part of a course correction, but rather a “presentation correction.”

Chuckie said that the new agenda is not about partisan politics.  And he told the Post, “A strong, sharp-edged, populist, bold economic message appeals to the Obama coalition and the people who voted for Trump — former Democrats who voted for Trump.”  Now if we look back over the last few decades, when was it that the mainstay of the Democrat agenda was not partisan politics?  And then on Sunday during an interview with ABC’s “This Week” Chuckie asserted that Democrats have been too cautious with their messaging.  It was then that he told former Clinton hack George Stephanopoulos, “We were too cautious, we were too namby pamby.”  Going on to say, “This is sharp, bold and will appeal to both the old Obama coalition, and the Democratic voters who deserted us for Trump, the blue collar worker.”

Chuckie responded to a recent ABC/Washington Post poll that said just 37 percent of people believe that the Democrat Party stands for something.  He said, “The number one thing that we did wrong is we didn’t tell people what we stood for.”  The Democrat Party’s message of “A Better Deal,” is meant to be a take on President Donald Trump’s economic message of “America First.”  Party leadership, including Chuckie, have shared little details about the new plan, hoping to preserve some suspense.  It was unveiled earlier today at an event in Virginia and while it all sounded pretty normal, that’s only because there was no talk of Russia, transgender restrooms, open borders or none of the many other things that Democrats have been talking about for the last eight years.

This new party ‘message’ comes about because despite what the Democrat Party, and their many minions in the media would like us all to believe, that their Russian collusion narrative, heard ad nauseam, has been little more than a total bust.  But the Democrats continue to peddle it for no other reason than that the party lacks any original ideas that will resonate with both moderate Democrats and Independents.  In other words, it’s really all that they have.  This even though I suspect that there more than a few in the Democrat Party who are starting to get a bit nervous over the non-stop Russian media narrative.  Especially since Trump's RCP national average overall has stayed fairly consistent since about the middle of May, this in spite the constant barrage of negative coverage.

The Democrats are suddenly finding it useful to profess responsibility for their condition, and to downplay the Russia narrative they've milked so heavily for eight solid months, to the point of open talk of impeachment, now that the Russia trail is leading right back to them rather than to Trump.  But the problem is that the Democrat Party is nothing more than the party of moochers and grifters.  And it seems to be owned by a cadre of rather sinister billionaires like George Soros, to name only one.  The Democrat Party promotes policies that destroy jobs, that weaken our country’s ability to defend itself, that allow into this country those who want only to kill us, and that throw open our borders.  You see, Chuckie, we know it's our money you're spending on things most of us would never buy of our own free will.

But the truth is that Hitlery didn’t lose the last election because people didn't know what the Democrat Party stands for.  She lost the election because the Democrats’ ran a professionally, ethically, and morally corrupt egomaniacal totalitarian candidate with a lifelong history of deplorable conduct of skirting the law for personal gain and effectively flipping off regular mainstream American citizens, culture and views all while supposedly being a public servant, whose lack of substance, posturing and insulting campaign tactics could have won the presidency if she was the only candidate in the race.  And what’s even more bizarre is the fact that she was the one person that the party went far out of its way to essentially guarantee that she would become the party’s candidate for president.

Chuckie really shouldn’t sell either himself, or his party, short!  The Democrat Party stands for fomenting hatred and racial strife for the sole purpose of political gain.  They stand for the status quo of crime, misery, and death in the dependency based war zones they have so carefully crafted.  And what they so very clearly stand for can be seen in any of the nation’s largest cities, like Detroit, Baltimore, and Chicago, that are all run by Democrats.  And in financially bankrupt and high tax states like Illinois and California.  And in socialist countries like Venezuela.  They stand for big government, high taxes, abortion on demand performed at taxpayer expense, and the homosexual agenda.  And, they stand for free welfare and taxpayer funded benefits for all who will vote for them, in this country legally or not.

And yet there’s so much more that most Americans view as Chuckie’s party standing for.  Such things as, our poor performing public schools run by the Democrat controlled teacher's union, the discrimination against all white people, preferential treatment under the law for all people of color, open borders and unrestricted entry by the masses of the world, especially all of Latin America, pornography on the Internet, homosexuality taught in our schools as a normal lifestyle, a transgender military and to surrender completely this nation to Islamist terrorists and barbarians of the world.  And while I could go on, I’m sure you get the idea.  So you see, the problem for Democrats is not that we don’t know what you stand for, but that we understand all too well exactly what they stand for.

Every time the Democrats lose an election it's always because their "message" somehow didn't get out or wasn't properly understood if it did.  If not that then the people were just too stupid to see that voting for Democrats was in their own best interest.  The dilemma for the Democrats is that they CAN'T seem to manage to deliver an honest and clear message about what they stand for because what they stand for is nothing more than government theft of the people's wealth to give to their loyalists and the curtailment of individual freedom and liberty at every turn.  Democrats, socialists, liberals and other youngsters must always, ALWAYS lie about who they are and what they believe in because if they were ever to tell the truth they wouldn’t be able to get elected dog catcher.

I think it’s obvious that hardcore Marxists have hijacked the Democrat Party and are now in full control.  It is no longer the party of JFK, or even George McGovern for that matter.  Chuckie, Pelosi, Soros, Warren, and other neo-Stalinist thugs now form the core of the New Democrat Party. They stand for nothing more than for all political and governmental power to be centralized and concentrated in their hands, and will allow absolutely no opposition at any level from anyone.  The Democrats’ rhetoric consists of the same old eat the rich, all cultures are the same, poverty, while crime are all the fault of Republicans because they won't dump more billions of dollars into our broken education machine.  But the American people smelled this crap and that's why Donald J. Trump stands today as our duly elected President.

But the Establishment Republicans are hardly any better. They've done far more to undercut Trump than to support him because they are more interested in clinging to their piddling little sinecures of power and privilege even if that means letting the Democrats run the show.  According to Speaker of the House Paul Ryan it isn’t congressional Republicans’ role to defend President Trump from the investigations into Russian election interference, but that said nor were the Republicans elected to assist the Democrats in their effort to take down a duly elected president.  Ryan has also pushed back against the notion that special counsel Robert Mueller is biased against the president.  Such comments prove the ‘The DC Swamp needs’ needs not only to be drained, but to be filled in, and then paved over.

THE DISCONNECT BETWEEN THE ’MEDIA’ AND THE PEOPLE ONLY GROWS WIDER…

The beginning of the end for that which we were once able to call our “mainstream media” was officially kicked into high gear back in 2007-08 when every effort imaginable was undertaken to ensure that Barack Obummer was elected president.  And it would seem that the death spiral has only managed to increase in both rate of descent as well as velocity as the media’s reputation for accuracy plummets toward the deck.  And it would seem that with each passing day of the Trump administration those in what has now morphed into our ‘state-controlled media complex’ reveal themselves to be a bit more unhinged and in so doing lose more of what little credibility they have remaining.  They insist upon focusing on those issues that most Americans simply have little or no interest in.

So there’s apparently a new Bloomberg poll out that shows that while healthcare is the top issue for the majority of Americans, the network newscasts have spent the vast majority of their time doing little more than to continue to relentlessly hammer their viewers with coverage of Democrats’ accusations about Russia and President Donald Trump collusion.  The Bloomberg National Poll reveals that 35 percent of Americans say “Health Care” is the top issue today - nearly three times the 13 percent who cite “Unemployment/Jobs.”  Only six percent cited “Relationship with Russia” as the most important issue.  And I’d be willing to be bet that the majority of that six prevent are, more than likely, brain dead Democrats.  Because they just love ‘fake news’, especially when it’s about President Trump.

A recent analysis our ‘friends’ in the media and what it came to show was that network news programs spend far more time covering Russia-Trump than they do on any of top issues that the American people actually care about or see as being the most important.  In the five weeks following the appointment of special counsel Robert Mueller (May 17-June 20), networks devoted 353 minutes of their total 640 minutes of airtime (55%) to the Russia-Trump probe.  Thus, even though nearly six times more Americans cited "Health Care" as being their top issue, networks devoted more than 20 times more coverage to Russia. The other issues in Americans’ top five were cited roughly twice as often as Russia – yet, networks devoted up to 71 times as many minutes to covering Russia.

Here are the top five “most important” issues cited by Americans in the Bloomberg poll, followed by the relative amount of time networks spend covering them, compared to their Russia-Trump coverage.

1 - Health Care 35%:
•5.8 times more people cited Health Care than Russia (35%-6%),
•Networks devoted 20.8 times more coverage to Russia than to Health Care (353-17 minutes)
2 – Unemployment/Jobs 13%:
•2.2 times more people cited Unemployment/Jobs than Russia (13%-6%),
•Networks gave 70.6 times more coverage to Russia than to Unemployment/Jobs (353-5 minutes)
3 – Terrorism 11%:
•1.8 times more people said Terrorism than Russia (11%-6%),
•Networks spent 12.2 times more time on Russia than on Terrorism (353-29 minutes)
4 – Immigration 10%:
•1.7 times as many people cited Immigration as cited Russia (10%-6%),
•Networks spent 70.6 times as many minutes covering Russia as they did covering Immigration (353-5 minutes)
5 – Climate Change 10%:
•1.7 times more people cited Climate Change than cited Russia (10%-6%),
•Networks devoted 7.5 times more coverage to Russia than to Climate Change (353-47 minutes)

It’s upon closer examination that one discovers that there is more than just a slight disconnect between what the American people want covered and what the networks, both cable and broadcast, see as being far more important and therefore spend the majority of their time reporting on.  And it explains why public trust of those in the media has continued to decline due to what is a very obvious leftwing media bias.  The media’s obsession with the Russia investigation flies in the face of what the public says it actually cares the most about. According to a Harvard-Harris poll, ‘a majority of voters believe the Russia investigations are damaging to the country and are eager to see Congress shift its focus to healthcare, terrorism, national security, the economy and jobs.’”  Yet both the Democrat and their media partners persist.

The media/propaganda wing of the Democrat Party has obviously decided that convincing the people that President Trump somehow colluded with the Russians is far more important than anything else that it could be doing and is therefore headed full steam ahead in that direction despite having no evidence that such collusion exists. They have committed themselves to that proposition and have stubbornly stuck by their claims that such collusion does exist.  And doing so in the stark absence of any actual proof has accomplished nothing more than to cause people to question their motivation.  Given the disconnect, it should be no surprise that half of all voters see the media as biased against Trump, compared to only four percent who think the media are pro-Trump, that according to a recent Rasmussen poll.

In recent months, even hardcore leftists like Diane Feinstein and ‘Mad Maxine’ Waters have said there has been no evidence of Trump-Russia collusion, and Comey said, three times, that Trump wasn’t under investigation. Even a Crappy News Network (CNN) exec got caught recently saying the story was a “nothingburger” but they keep running the stories anyway.  It is interesting to note as well that a year ago Obummer was aware of possible interference from Russia and yet chose to do nothing about it because everyone was so sure the old Hag, Hitlery, was going to win the election.  And today the only ones still buying this collusion nonsense are the most very simple-minded.  They claim concerns about Russian interference, yet are wholly misleading with the propaganda they spew.  The media truly has become our enemy.

DEMOCRATS ATTEMPT YET ANOTHER PLOY AGAINST PRESIDENT TRUMP…

I providing evidence that the complete mental breakdown of the Democrat Party continues unabated, it was a group of House Democrats who announced earlier this week a “No Confidence in Donald J. Trump” resolution at a press conference on Capitol Hill.  Rep Steve Cohen, the senior Democrat on the Judiciary Committee’s subpanel on the Constitution, sponsored the resolution rebuking President Donald Trump, explaining that measure was introduced to serve as “an attempt at a political intervention.”  Cohen said, “We have now had six months of Donald Trump as president. That is a sufficient time to be a probationary period and, as a result of that, 23 of my colleagues have joined me in introducing today a resolution of no confidence in the job of Donald J. Trump.”  And it was this very same moron who went on to say, “We have, as part of that resolution, 12 pages thoroughly annotated of what we believe are misdeeds and actions that give people a lack of confidence in him and the direction he is taking our country.”  Is there ever going to come a point where Democrats finally stop their whining and simply focus on the needs of the American people instead of their own?

The resolution points to the Trump campaign’s contacts with Russian officials, Trump’s comments on women, the firing of FBI director James Comey, and the president’s decision to keep his tax returns private as reasons why they view him as being unfit for the Oval Office.  And it was Rep. Judy Chu, Democrat from California,  who was next to speak up in support of this idiotic ‘resolution’ by saying, “We have a president who actively undermines the very principles of our government and a Republican congress that makes excuses for him as though his behavior is normal. It is not normal.”  And she went on to say, “Trump’s behavior is cruel, unethical and it’s driving people’s faith in the government to dangerously low levels.”  And then came everyone’s favorite imbecile Sheila Jackson Lee who also criticized Trump, saying, “This is not the behavior of the leader of the free world.”  It would seem that the resolution, although backed by 23 representatives, has no chance of moving through the Republican-led House.  And while Nancy Pelosi did not sign on to the resolution, Cohen says she isn’t in opposition of the measure.  No, I’m sure the old hag isn’t!  She’s happy to go along with just about anything.

Democrats really do need to come up with some sort of a plan that involves more than just the hating of President Trump.  And by the way, rumor has it that they may actually be on the verge of announcing just that.  You see, on next Monday, or so I am told, congressional Democrats — in the Senate and the House together — will roll out a legislative policy agenda, their de facto 2018 campaign platform.  The details, after months of haggling, could yet disappoint but the broad outlines as described by those ‘in the know’ are said to be just what the doctor ordered.  Sounding eerily like a pizza commercial their grand plan is entitled “A Better Deal: Better Skills, Better Jobs, Better Wages” and it is expected to have many Democrat staples — tax increases on the rich, affordable (aka free) college, infrastructure spending, higher wages, job training, paid family leave and the like — and a few new ones.  In other words more of the very same ‘progressive’ crap that we had during the eight years of Obummer that resulted in nothing more than fewer people in the workforce and more people in the government dole.  And as a voter, how ignorant do you have to be willing to see this kind of crap, time after time, as being something that will make your life better in ANY meaningful way?

Anyway, since I am in no way a political strategist, I can only assume here that the goal of the Democrats who were responsible for crafting this little piece of progressive handy-work is to avoid repeating what they see as having been Hitlery’s biggest problem in 2016.  Other than, of course, her corruption issue.  That being, the fact that she had so many proposals, and she scratched the itches of so many Democrat constituencies, that she lacked anything that actually resembled a coherent economic message.  And I’m also guessing that the hope is, on the part of these Democrats, that a full-throated populist agenda will also make it harder for President Trump to claim that he is the only one fighting special interests, which he did to great effect against Hitlery.  Look, all that I’m seeing from this supposed grand scheme of a plan for 2018 is the typical Democrat plan to give away ‘free’ stuff in exchange for votes.  And while that may work with those who are intellectually challenged, hopefully for those who are a higher on the evolutionary scale it will have very little impact.  Nothing ever changes with the Democrats, it’s always the same ‘free-stuff-in-exchange-for-votes’ game plan.

Am I the only one who’s seeing the irony here that these "let's flush America down the tubes" Democrats dare to whine about having "no confidence" in the President?  News flash, losers!  And that would, of course, be the fact that I have literally ‘zero confidence’ in any Democrat breathing!  Because, as we all know, if a Democrat is breathing, then they’re likely taking part in something shady that only helps themselves and ends up doing irreparable damage to the country.  Why don't they step up to the plate and be more like statesmen than like crybabies?  They need to be doing their job for America instead of working on their next election.  Democrats don't do anything if it doesn't have something to do with increasing their voter base.  A base that consists primarily of those in this country illegally, or dead, and every group of people with their hand out.  Democrats are the biggest hypocrites on the planet.  The other problem is that we have to contend with a substantial number of RINOs who, in many respects, differ very little from the Democrats.  We have complete control of Congress as well as the White House and yet continue to have their asses handed to them by these pathetic people who can't stop crying.

For eight long years there were many of us had NO confidence in Obummer.  That’s why Democrats were voted out of office in the numbers they were.  Now, the hateful, selfish alt-Left has turned violent and aligned themselves with terrorists.  Is anyone surprised?  As disgusting as the Democrats are, it's only because they indoctrinate our children from the very beginning that allows them to create easily led, dimwitted dolts willing to believe whatever imbecilic drivel they’re being spoon fed.  I have NO confidence in Democrats, RINOs, elites of any kind, Congress, or the state-controlled media.  But I do have confidence in the American people and I believe, with every fiber of my being, that the people will speak loudly in 2018 and will let their vote be heard.  And for the current crop of political critters it ain't gonna be pretty.  Also I believe that Election Day in 2018 will come to be known as Trump’s Revenge.  It’s day after day that these loons think of new reasons to hate America.  It is astounding the new ways they can come up with. They have lost election after election yet they don't pause for a moment to think of how they could help the nation or improve their party's chance of winning.

IT’S NOW THE DEMOCRATS AND RINOS VERSUS PRESIDENT TRUMP…

Frankly, I’m getting more than a little tired of hearing about how it is that President Trump has yet to make good on any of his campaign promises.  And yes I know he claimed numerous times during the campaign to be the ultimate dealmaker.  However, I think what he failed to realize is that making deals in the business world is very different than making deals in the world of politics.  Politicians are a sleazy bunch, and more often than not the potential cost of any deal can end up being rather prohibitive. And it can be rather difficult to make deals with people who have absolutely no interest in making a deal.  Because what’s become far more important to the RINOs and their Democrat friends in Congress than making any kind of a deal, is working to slow the Trump agenda to the greatest extent possible.

So it would seem only appropriate that Senate Republicans, and not President Trump, should now find themselves in the crosshairs.  Some center-right media commentators blamed the moderates, others blamed the conservatives, and some blamed both.  “Fox & Friends” co-host Brian Kilmeade singled out both the left and right members of the party, addressing Sens. Paul, Portman and Collins. He said, “These people are being true to their school.”  And added, “Just not true to their party, and maybe not true to their country.”  Conservative radio host Laura Ingraham singled out only conservative members Sens. Mike Lee and Rand Paul in a tweet, asking “Q[uestion] for @SenMikeLee & @RandPaul: Why is keeping Obamacare preferable to any alt[ernative] that could get 50 GOP votes in the Senate?”

And it was another conservative talk show host, Hugh Hewitt, who directed his dissatisfaction at moderate GOP Sen. Dean Heller of Nevada for opposing the bill, questioning his intelligence (“he’s not the sharpest knife in the drawer”) and lamenting the damage he has done to the Republican Party.  Heller is perhaps one of the most vulnerable GOP Senate incumbents up for re-election in 2018.  And Rush Limbaugh hammered “establishment” Republicans for being too afraid of the bill’s unpopularity: “You gotta know where to take the battle and fight, and I’m sorry — investing in the Republican leadership to carry your water? Who ever thought that would work?”  The Trump agenda will be going nowhere as long as our current leadership teams in both houses remain in place.  Thus, they need to go.

And then it was Senate Conservative Fund President Ken Cuccinelli who said in a statement that his group will “seek to identify, recruit, and fund conservative challengers against Republican senators who vote against repeal. If they won’t keep their word and if they can’t find the courage to repeal a liberal takeover of our health care system that has hurt so many American families, they should be replaced by someone who will.”  The GOP’s failure to repeal Obamacare, and the time spent doing so, jeopardizes Republican lawmakers’ ability to grapple with tax reform as well as the likelihood of passing legislation on infrastructure this year.  This could leave Trump and the Republican with no meaningful legislative victories in his first year as president all thanks to our spineless congressional leaders.

So say what you will about the president, but this latest fiasco rests 100% on Congress.  They campaigned on the promise to repeal Obamacare for straight 7 years.  They never developed an alternative plan in all that time.  Trump cannot introduce or vote on legislation, that’s Congress’ job.  And I would like to think that many of these do-nothings will never get re-elected after this mess, but I also worry that our rather ignorant electorate will make the mistake of replacing them with Democrats, and the only result from doing that would be the complete grinding to a halt of the president’s agenda. This latest fiasco should make clear that the Republicans want 1) to keep Obamacare and 2) so see Trump to fail.  And I think little doubt remains that the RINO's would have preferred to have Hitlery win the election.

In 2015 members of Congress passed a repeal of Obamacare and sent it to Obummer’s desk, who then promptly vetoed it.  This same exact bill was again offered to these same members of the Congress and they refused to back it because they never expected Trump to be the President and were waiting to help Hitlery implement single-payer healthcare. They all need to be retired at the earliest possible date, which would be 2018.  And it this is not just about the Healthcare vote.  Republicans are spineless wimps in the face of the Democrat opposition, even when it comes to the president’s appointees. The Democrats are in the minority yet you sure can't tell that from the spineless action of the majority.  Republicans need to be doing what the Democrats would be doing, ramming our agenda down their throats.

As I have said before, the primary focus of the 2018 midterm elections must be the exorcising from our party as many of these pathetic RINOs as possible.  That and doing all that we can to further reduce the number of Democrats in BOTH houses of Congress.  Only then can we move forward.  What I wish we could do is elect a whole new batch of Republicans who can work together for the betterment of the country.  These nefarious ego driven congressmen/women live as if they and only they know the answers to what the country needs.  If you can't come to a consensus after sorting out ideas then you don't belong in the group.  My take is Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, John McCain, Susan Collins and many others would like nothing more than “to see Trump fail”.   But they should be the ones who are made to fail.

LIKE IT OR NOT, THERE’S ONLY ONE OPTION IN 2018…

When it comes to draining ‘The Swamp’ I think we’re all beginning to realize that it’s something that just may turn out to be more than just a one man job, even if that man is President Trump.  And since ‘The Swamp’ has been increasing in both size and toxicity for decades we must also realize that it’s not something we’re going to able to drain overnight.  But that doesn’t mean that we should allow ourselves to be dissuaded from doing so, nor should abandon the president if we perceive the process to be moving too slow.  Unfortunately, part of the problem, a big problem, is that it’s a rather sizable portion of ‘The Swamp’ that’s comprised of those folks whom you would at least like to think of as being the good guys.  While of them have may entered ‘The Swamp’ with the best of intentions, over time they became corrupted.

Now I’m sure many folks are as frustrated as I am regarding our Republican members of Congress and their continuing inability, or unwillingness, to get anything accomplished, especially, or so it would seem, if it has anything to do with the Trump agenda.  To the point where I keep hearing threats coming from all directions about how the party will go down to defeat in 2018.  Now make no mistake, I am in no way pleased about what little has been accomplished in the last six months, but at the same time I am certainly in no hurry to put Chuckie Schumer and Nancy Pelosi back in charge of Congress.  That would be the ultimate act of biting of one’s nose to spite one’s face.   And it would be one of the most irresponsible acts the American people, at least those serious about saving our country for our children, could EVER commit.

So how about we step back a bit, take a deep breath and reassess just what it might be that should be our best course of action going forward from this point and over the next 17 months.  First and foremost we’re morons if we do anything other than ignore everything that comes out of the mouth of any Democrat or ANYONE who’s part of the state-controlled media complex.  Because what it comes to anyone in either of these organizations it’s safe to say that if their lips are moving, they’re lying to us.  If there is anyone less deserving of being listened to than someone who proudly identifies themselves as being a Democrat, it’s someone who refers to themselves as a ‘journalist’.  Unfortunately when it comes to deciding what’s best regarding the truly important issues, we have now, apparently, been left to our own devices.

That said, we must never allow ourselves to be talked into voting for someone when we know in our heart it’s a mistake.  And there is also NEVER any reason for staying home on Election Day.  Now as I have said before, if our current batch of congressional Republicans are simply not up to the task of doing what even we the people are smart enough to know needs to be done, then our option, our ONLY option, is not to vote for Democrats but, instead, vote for Republicans whom we feel we can trust, at least until they give us a reason not to.  And if they too prove not to be up to the task as hand, then they too should be replaced.  We know from the get-go that we can never trust anyone in the Democrat Party, so why would we EVER want to elect any of them into a position of power?  That’s insane!

I think we can all agree that the latest attempt to repeal and replace of Obamacare failed because of one very simple fact.  We have far too many RINOs in our midst and far too few conservatives.  So can anyone please explain to me the rationale for wanting to replace these RINOs with Democrats?  Where’s the logic in putting the control of Congress back into the hands of those who created Obamacare in the first place?  Haven’t we learned anything from the last time we did that?  Now I’ve heard some make the claim that doing so would teach those Republicans a lesson, but while that may sound fine in theory, it really accomplishes nothing if our long term goal truly is to “Make America Great Again.”  Because choosing to put more Democrats in Congress serves as nothing more than a sizable speed bump in that process.

Reason must come to prevail here.  Look, we know who the RINOs are, they’ve become pretty easy to spot.  Unfortunately, those in the Senate who conned themselves into re-election in 2016, we’re stuck with.  So we’ll need to look very closely at those Senate Republicans up for re-election in 2018 and if deemed necessary search out the most suitable Republican replacements and force a primary election.  And remember, it’s every single House member, including every single RINO and every single Democrat, who will be up for re-election.  So in that respect in the House it should be a much easier task to remove a significant number of RINOs, chief among them being Paul Ryan.  But we should also take the opportunity to reduce, to the greatest extent possible, the number of Democrats.

There is no doubt that over the coming months there will be a growing number of voices from the left, including many coming from our state-controlled media, that will be doing their very best to convince us that the Republican Party no longer deserves the confidence of the American people when it comes to its ability, and willingness, to govern.  As for myself, I am not yet ready to condemn the entire Republican Party, instead I intend to focus my attention on those specific individuals who, while they may refer to themselves as being Republican have repeatedly proven such a claim is nothing more than a charade.  These people are frauds of the very worst kind, they willingly say one thing to American people and then something entirely different once they get behind closed doors with their Democrat friends.

With the election of Donald Trump as president we who love our country were provided with a much needed opportunity, one that just doesn’t come along all that often.  We were handed control of Congress and the White House.  An opportunity viewed by many on the left as being one that must be squashed at all costs and one that has effectively reduced those in the Democrat Party to little more than a bunch of unhinged lunatics.  Over the course of the last six months the Democrats have pulled out all the stops in their continuing effort to delegitimize Trump’s presidency.  As we have seen, and heard, there is absolutely nothing they will not do or say about the man, his family or anyone who is associated with him or his administration as they persist in continuing as the party of obstruction.

Meanwhile the many serious problems in desperate need of being addressed go ignored.  Whether we like it or not it would appear that much of the task for getting our country headed back in the right direction has now been left to us.  Now we can either act like spoiled children by perpetrating some level of retribution upon the party that we feel may have abandoned us, or we can be a bit more surgical in how we go about our only form of retaliation, the ballot box.  And again, what I mean by that is that we must focus our attention on those in Congress who have continually refused to keep the many promises they’ve made to us in the past and replace them not with Democrats, God forbid, but with the ‘most’ conservative Republicans that we can find and can then convince to run.  That should be our top priority!

And just one final note, to those who would wish to take all of their frustration and anger out on the Republican Party by either staying home on Election Day or, worse, voting for some Democrat, I would only ask if it is really a return to the Obummer years that you are seeking?   And how is it that that would in any way be a good thing for anyone or, for that matter, the country?  Wouldn’t it be far better to focus our attention on punishing the bad apples within the party by seeking out replacements and to then provide them with an opportunity to prove themselves in the effort to get our country back on track?  The dangers of putting the Democrats back in charge are simply too great and, suffice it to say, would be without a doubt the worst possible thing we could possibly do.
