OLD NANCY MIGHT WANT TO LAY OFF THE ‘BOTOX’…
Barry "Almighty", whose been under fire, of late, from both Republicans, as well as many in his own party, was recently on the receiving end of what can only be described as being a rather glowing review from old ‘Stretch, Nancy Pelosi. Pelosi absolutely raved about the wonderful job that our embattled commander-in-chief is doing, going so far as to actually call him a "brilliant" and "eloquent" strategist. Which made me wonder if she was talking about the same Barry "Almighty" who we all loath and despise. And, as to be expected, she made the claim that Republican scorn was based on nothing more than simple jealousy. "You know why it is. You know why it is," she spewed. "He’s brilliant, … he thinks in a strategic way in how to get something done … and he’s completely eloquent. That’s a package that they don’t like." Ya know, on those rare occasions I find myself thinking about Barry the first word that usually pops into my head, isn’t brilliant. More often than not it’s something like, corrupt or socialist
So anyway, in this same little exchange, Ms. Botox went on compare the GOP vitriol that she sees as being directed at Barry to what she described as being the snobbish distaste she claimed some Republicans had for old ‘Slick Willie’ Clinton. She said, "They didn’t think he was one of them … because of his upbringing and his personal story of success," she charged " … Although he had the Ivy League and the Georgetown education, he wasn’t rooted where most of the former presidents came from." Well to be fair, I don’t think that’s quite accurate. Republicans didn’t view "BJ" as being one of them, because he wasn’t one of them . For one thing, he was a draft dodger, and for another thing he was having sex, and doing some rather unsavory things with a cigar, right there in the Oval Office, with a girl young enough to be his daughter. So I think it went a little further than a snobbish distaste. I’m sorry, but there is something distasteful about our commander-in-chief discussing matters of state while his favorite teenager is under his desk.
And Nancy sounded her typically arrogant self in saying that the GOP's initial plan to keep the government running past Sept. 30, including the defunding Obamacare provision demanded by conservatives, wouldn't fly with her caucus. And apparently, for the most part, I guess she was correct. Because in the vote today only two Democrats voted with the GOP. She said, "I call it the tea party continuing resolution, because they are obviously driving the ship. We can do it the hard way, well, we can do it not at all, which is the path that they’re on now." She added: "They don’t want our vote. I believe that the path the Republicans are on is designed to shut down government. … [T]he question is: Can they have their ideological dream come true, or will there be some voice of reason?" Talk about an ideological dream! Having the government in complete control of the healthcare that Americans can and cannot receive has been the ideological wet-dream of the Democrat Party going all the way back to FDR!
The bottom line here is that Pelosi is nothing more than a pathetic hypocrite. And regardless of what she says, I’m one of those who happens to be of the opinion, and I could be wrong, just like the Democrats made it their priority, while forsaking such things as our troubled economy, to literally shove this train wreck disguised as ‘reform’ through Congress by hook or by crook, and making it very obvious that they didn’t much want, need, nor care for, votes of Republicans, Republicans must now begin what is sure to be the very arduous task of ending this debacle, and, if necessary, in much the same manner. Stopping Obamacare has got to be priority number one. Democrats, just like today, will be presented with an opportunity to do the right thing, maybe not for their party’s agenda, but most definitely for the American people, by voting with the Republicans to scrap this thing and start over. With only two Democrats joining the Republicans in today’s House vote, most have now demonstrated whose side they are on.
And so it would now appear that Obamacare may very well be that one ‘red line’ that Barry "Almighty", and the Democrats in Congress, will go to the wall to enforce. But, look, what’s really going on here? The Republican House passed a continuing resolution that will keep the government running but Obamacare is not a part of it. Obamacare, according to Senator Max Baucus, a Democrat, is a train wreck on the American economy. And what Barry appears to be saying here, is that he will shut down this government with his veto if Republicans don’t send the money to cover the cost of this train wreck. And Pelosi’s compatriot ‘Dingy Harry’ Reid has said that the Democrats in the Senate will take nothing that does not have Obamacare in it. So if I have this right, Barry has admitted that he will not negotiate, and ‘Dingy’ has told Boehner don’t send anything that doesn’t contain Obamacare, and it’s still the GOP who will be blamed if the government shuts down? Talk about ‘liberal logic’!
