AND OBAMA SAYS HE'S NOT DONE YET?

I've got a question to ask all of those who are currently considering voting for Barry again this time around. When you look around and see what he's 'done', do you really think that can we really afford for him to finish? I only ask because from my point of view, why would I vote for a guy who has already inflicted damage that's going to take years, maybe even decades to recover from? And I think it safe to say that a trend has now been established that very clearly indicates that we simply cannot afford four more years of this guy. Look, the number of Americans whom our Department of Labor counted as “not in the civilian labor force” in August has now ballooned to a record high of 88,921,000. And just for or the sake of clarification here, the Labor Department counts a person as not in the civilian labor force if they are at least 16 years old, are not in the military or an institution such as a prison, mental hospital or nursing home, and have not actively looked for a job in the last four weeks. The department counts a person as being in “the civilian labor force” if they are at least 16, are not in the military or an institution such as a prison, mental hospital or nursing home, and either do have a job or have actively looked for one in the last four weeks.

In July, we had 155,013,000 folks in the U.S. civilian labor force. And in August that number dropped to 154,645,000, meaning that 368,000 people simply dropped out of the labor force last month and didn't even bother looking for work. There were also 119,000 fewer Americans employed in August than there were in July. In July, again according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, there were 142,220,000 Americans working. But, in August, there were only 142,101,000 Americans working. Despite the fact that fewer Americans were actually employed in August than July, the unemployment rate ticked down from 8.3 in July to 8.1. That's because so many people chose to drop out of the labor force and stop looking for work. The unemployment rate is the percentage of people in the labor force (meaning they had a job or were actively looking for one) who did not have a job. And even the 8.1 figure is more than a little optimistic, because real unemployment is nowhere near that number. According to James Pethokoukis of the American Enterprise Institute, the unemployment rate would be 11.4 percent if the labor force participation rate had remained what it was when Barry first took office just three and half years ago..

Also, the Bureau of Labor Statistic reported that in August the labor force participation rate (the percentage of the people in the civilian non-institutionalized population who either had a job or were actively looking for one) dropped to a 30-year low of 63.5 percent, down from 63.7 percent in July. The last time the labor force participation rate was as low as 63.5 percent was in back in September 1981 when we were busy trying to recover from the fours years of the Jimmy Carter administration. Factory payrolls in August decreased by 15,000, compared with a survey forecast for a 10,000 increase, after a 23,000 gain in the previous month. Automakers cut 7,500 jobs last month. The figures reflected the reversal of a July increase that was propelled by fewer shutdowns at automakers for annual retooling related to the new model year. Still, carmakers may continue to add workers as Barry's Chrysler Group and General Motors along with Ford Motor Co., Toyota Motor Corp. and Honda Motor Co. all reported U.S. auto sales rose in August. But if we've learned anything, it's that it's never good to count your chickens before they're hatched.

So when Barry tells us that he needs more time to get the job done, I'm sorry, but as far as I'm concerned he made less than effective use of the time he was allotted, and I for one am not willing to grant him an extension. It's because of him, not in spite of him, the we are spiraling out of control and now diving toward the deck at increasing rate of speed. You'd have to be pretty stupid not to recognize the fact that what is now taking place, is exactly what he intended to have take place. When he came into office his stated mission was to "fundamentally transform" this country and he's done his best to carry through on that. I mean there's simply no other way to try to explain it. And all the flowery words no matter how eloquently they may be delivered, can't hide that fact. All that bullshit about him needing four more years to finish the job, is he crazy? Does he really expect us to say, "Sure, Barry. No problem, take all the time you need to wreck our country." Let's be real here, can you really look at ANYTHING that he has done at anytime in the last 4 years, and actually say that he has been working to make things better? And his trying to blame the Republicans is just an excuse. For two years he had complete control of Congress and from where I'm sitting, he wasted it.
