WE MUST STOP THE MADNESS…
Does that the fact our government could have, thus far in FY 2014, brought in more than $1.7 Trillion and still manage to be far short of being able to meet its obligations strike anyone other than myself as being completely unacceptable? And then consider the fact that, even though federal tax revenues will continue to run at a record pace in the months that remain in FY 2014, when the fiscal year finally does draw to a close, we will still end up being far short of the amount needed to pay all of our bills.
Despite bringing in this record amount of revenue, the federal government still managed to run a deficit of over $306 Billion in the first seven months of the fiscal year, which began back on Oct. 1, 2013 and will end on Sept. 30, 2014. Oddly enough, in the month of April itself, which usually sees the peak tax revenues for the year, the federal government actually ran a surplus of $106.9 Billion. While taking in $414.2 Billion in total receipts during the month, the government spent $307.4 Billion.
And it was in fiscal 2013, that the federal government also ran a one-month surplus in April, taking in $406.7 billion during the month and spending $293.8 billion, leaving a surplus of $112.9 billion. However, after that one-month April 2013 surplus, the federal government was quick to return to its typically reckless ways in May 2013, when it took in roughly $197 billion in tax receipts while spending nearly twice as much at around $335 billion, which left a deficit of nearly $139 billion for the month.
Our stellar federal government ended up FY 2013 by running up a deficit of over $680 Billion. And in looking ahead at the remainder of FY 2014, the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has now estimated that the insanity is in no way slowing down. The OMB estimates that in the full FY 2014, the federal government will collect a little over $3 Trillion in taxes while at the same time managing to spend roughly $3.6 Trillion and therefore ending up by running a deficit of nearly $649 Billion.
And so the plundering of our once great nation continues at a record pace. Most people realize that this insanity can’t go on indefinitely. But at the same time people must come to realize that this insane level of spending is seen by some as actually being a means to an end. Because what is now underway is nothing more than a very purposeful attempt to create such a unbearable strain on our economic and financial systems, courtesy of an overwhelming amount of debt, that everything will simply come crashing down on itself.
And who is it that we can thank for creating this sinister game plan? I suppose the quick answer would be those in our government who not only hate the freedoms we are still able to enjoy in this country, but also our free-market economy and our system of government, and who seek to destroy it. And it should be fairly obvious that it is many of those in the Democrat Party. Men and women who have absolutely no business being in the positions that they are in and are therefore able to attack our country from the inside.
It is these despicable, self-serving, power-hungry politicians who work to convince the uninformed, the lazy and the less intelligent to vote for them in exchange for certain government ‘benefits’ which have a much better chance of becoming a reality if the ‘right’ people are elected. Many people allow themselves to be convinced that their place in life is not the result of their own poor choices, but can instead be blamed on those who made better choices and have therefore been able to make a better life for themselves and their families.
Until the days comes, and at the rate we’re presently going it may not have the chance to arrive, that people are willing to once again take personal responsibility for their actions, and to claim ownership of their shitty little lives, nothing will change. We’ll continue on in our rapidly accelerating downward spiral until we plow full speed right into the deck. And all that we once had will be gone forever. And maybe then we’ll finally realize what it is that we’ve lost, and wonder why it was that we were so willing to give it all away.
