'Nanny Mike' Bloomberg, he who seems to have taken on the task of being this nation's conscience, at least when it comes to gun control, has actually made the idiotic claim that lawmakers who are "going with the NRA" are "going against the lives of our children." What this boob actually said was, "And we have an obligation to tell each other and to try to convince people that if they’re going with the NRA they’re going against the lives of our children and of you and me." Bloomberg made his imbecilic comments during a press conference last week to announce a city-wide recycling program. Gee, now there's a priority in urgent need of being addressed! Just sayin!
It was during this little exercise in stupidity that 'Nanny Mike' was asked about whether his little group, 'Mayors Against Illegal Guns,' will be targeting Arkansas Sen. Mark Pryor, a Democrat, who opposed gun control legislation in the Senate. To which 'Nanny Mike' responded, "What I have said is that we are going to support those people who want to stop the killing 12,000 of our citizens every year or the 19,000 that commit suicide with handguns every year." He added, "And I think you and I both have an obligation to do that." He then went on to say, "And the ways you do that is to make sure that the elected officials understand that you’re gonna vote for somebody else."
This cadre of misfits, the 'Mayors Against Illegal Guns', of which 'Nanny Mike' is a co-chair, has vowed to target members of Congress who would not support stricter gun control in the wake of the school shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School. He said "And we’re going to do everything we can to make sure that somebody else gets elected who wants to see that we stop this carnage." Carnage, really? 'Nanny Mike' has a rather odd way of defining carnage, especially when the vast majority of big cities in this country are nothing more than vast cesspools of violence, drugs and failing schools, with the one common denominator being that they are all run by Democrats.
According to the National Journal, 'Nanny Mike's' group is "seriously considering" a vast television, radio and direct-mail campaign against Pryor, who opposed universal background checks for firearms, including those online and at gun shows. Don't you think that if this worthless piece of dog squeeze genuinely cared about "the children" he would be expending a little more effort on making sure that they had decent schools to go to in his city? You know, schools where kids actually learn something and receive an actual education that would be sufficient for them to get into college without first having to attend several year's worth of remedial training of one form or another.
You know, guys like this Bloomberg clown are nothing more than a bunch of pathetic frauds, whose only interest in our children is, like Barry, based on how best they can be used to advance the progressive agenda. The left is determined in its efforts to gut the Second Amendment, to alter its meaning to the point where they can then claim that there is no 'right' to own a gun. I'll tell you what, I'll give up my gun on the very same day that this flaming douche bag no longer surrounds himself with gun-toting guerillas. Because I feel I have just as much of a 'right' to protect myself and my family as he does. These 'do as I say, not as I do' hypocrites, REALLY piss me off!
