That brilliant and world renowned climatologist, John Kerry-Heinz, who I believe spent a very brief yet very personally rewarding time in Vietnam, only to come home and trash his country, recently went so far as to make the idiotic claim that the situation facing the planet because of climate change is “as dangerous” as the possibility of war over Iran’s nuclear activities. Now being that I'm not exactly sure what degree this bonehead may hold that would make him an expert on climate science, I don’t know on what he might actually be basing his rather alarmist sounding rhetoric. If it's on the same data that has been shown to have been manipulated, then he's simply doing nothing more than talking out his ass. In his delivering what was described as “a major address and current assessment of the global climate change challenge,” Kerry-Heinz acknowledged and bemoaned the success of those who question the notion of human-induced global warming. And in so doing he used the same worn-out terminology as he proceeded to compare those of us who are skeptics to flat-earthers and decried what he called a “concerted assault on reason.” Ok, time out. A Democrat, let alone Kerry-Heinz talking about reason? You gotta be joking, right?
Anyway, one of our two favorite clowns from Massachusetts, the other, of course, being Bawney Fwank, continued with his simplistic rant saying , “I believe that the situation we face, Mr. President, is as dangerous as any of the sort of real crises that we talk about – today we had a hearing in the Foreign Relations Committee on the subject of Syria, and we all know what’s happening with respect to Iran, and nuclear weapons and the possibility even of a war.” Adding, “Well, this issue [climate change] actually is of as significant a level of importance, because it affects life itself on the planet.” Kerry said the term climate change had become “an unusable word in American politics.” Not yet finished he babbled on, “Climate change, over the last few years, has regrettably lost credibility in the eyes and ears of the American people, because of a concerted campaign of disinformation – a concerted campaign to brand the concept as somehow slightly out of the mainstream of American political thinking.” By his spewing such utter nonsense, Kerry-Heinz reveals how dishonest he is. Because if there is anyone who is taking part in a campaign of disinformation it's people like him who insist upon spreading this falsehood.
He went on to say, “I have to say it’s been a remarkably effective campaign, you can’t sit here and say it hasn’t worked,” Kerry conceded. “Every opportunity to cast a pall on facts with some kind of cockamamie theory has been taken advantage of, and a lot of money has been spent, Mr. President, a lot of money has been spent in this process of disinformation and of discrediting.” On and on he went, saying, “We have in effect, with respect to climate change in America today, what is fundamentally a flat-earth caucus, a bunch of people – some of them within the United States Congress itself – who still argue, against all the science, all the evidence, they argue that somehow we don’t know enough about climate change, or they argue that the evidence isn’t sufficient, or they argue that it just is a hoax.” Being ever the gutless individual that we have come to know and despise, naturally Kerry-Heinz did not name his congressional targets, but earlier in the day, during a Senate Environment and Public Works Committee hearing, ranking member Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.) declared that “the global warming movement has completely collapsed and cap-and-trade is dead and gone.”
Inhofe was referring to the Waxman-Markey cap-and-trade bill, which sought to set up a system to limit and trade the emission of carbon dioxide (CO2) and other “greenhouse gases” blamed for climate change. The measure passed in the U.S. House in June 2009 by a margin of just seven votes, but died in the Senate. Noting that the committee had not held a hearing on “global warming science” since early 2009, Inhofe said, “I suspect a look back over the past three years will be a little painful for some.” Back then, with a Democratic president in the White House and Democratic majorities in the House and Senate, “the global warming alarmists were on top of the world – they thought they would reach their goal.” Inhofe attributed the failure to “Climategate,” the scandal triggered by the leaking of emails revealing the apparent manipulation of data by some scientists linked to the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). After reading excerpts of several articles critical of the IPCC from “publications that were on the alarmist side of this issue,” including the New York Times, Inhofe asked, “just how unpopular is the global warming movement now?”
He added that, “The Washington Post recently published a poll revealing that Americans no longer worry about global warming and one of the reasons is that they don’t trust the scientists and their motives,” he added. In the poll, a whopping 18 percent of respondents identified “global warming/greenhouse effect/climate change” as the biggest single environmental problem facing the world, down from 25 percent in 2008 and 33 percent in 2007. Twenty-nine percent, most likely all devout Democrats and anti-capitalists, of respondents actually identified pollution as being the biggest problem that we face. Let's face it, when compared to what seems to be a growing list of our current economic problems, compounded by our incredible amount of debt, our growing dependence on foreign energy while at the same time the ignoring of our own vast resources, the concern over what is essentially fictional manmade global warming quickly pales in comparison. Especially when there is some more information available that contradicts the whole idiotic notion. People simply have no interest in completely destroying our economy for the sake of something that does not exist, and couldn't change even if it did!.
Wednesday’s 35-minute rambling floor speech, which I'm sure must have seemed much, much longer to those in attendance, was the second time in two days that Kerry-Heinz raised the issue on Capitol Hill. He did so on Tuesday, when the Commerce Committee approved a bipartisan bill preventing U.S. airlines from participating in the European Union’s cockamamie emission-trading scheme (ETS). The E.U.’s insane seven year-old cap-and-trade system, which was extended to the aviation sector as of January 1 this year, charges all airlines entering European airspace for CO2 emissions, calculated not just while the aircraft is over Europe but over the duration of the entire flight. The bill was introduced by Sens. John Thune, Republican, and Claire McCaskill, Democrat, last December, two months after the U.S. House passed similar legislation, requiring the Transportation Secretary to prohibit U.S. carriers from participating in any ETS unilaterally set up by the E.U. The Senate measure was passed Tuesday after amendments were made, at the behest of Kerry-Heinz and his fellow loony Democrat, that proverbial dim bulb, Babs Boxer. requiring U.S. officials to pursue a global aviation emissions agreement. .
“Because of the compromise language that Senator Thune was willing to accept, I think we’re in a good position,” Babs told the committee. “We ‘re saying no to a unilateral move by Europe but yes to taking a lead role in [global] negotiations.” Immediately after the vote, Kerry-Heinz launched in an impromptu 13-minute incoherent babbling in which he agreed the E.U.’s actions were “unacceptable,” but said the Europeans were “acting out of pure frustration.” He said, “A whole lot of people are getting angry about this.” Adding, “They ought to be.” Who exactly is so upset? Only 18 percent of us in this country even think this is an issue in need of being addressed! Kerry-Heinz said, “We can’t pretend that just passing this thing is going to be the end of it.” He added, “We’ve got to have an international agreement, and all of us are going to have to step up and help lead in the United States, by doing some of the things that we’ve avoided for 20-plus years that are staring us in the face.” Question! Why is it, exactly, that this is so urgently in need of being addressed and yet our growing debt and lagging economy can simply continue to be kicked down the road until after the election? I guess I'm just not getting Kerry-Heinz's logic here!
This continuing drivel about manmade global warming about which folks like Kerry-Heinz insist upon sounding the alarm, is just that, drivel. It' has been debunked time and time again because it's based on nothing but junk science. And even though a growing number of people recognize it for what it is, it hasn’t served to prevent clowns like Kerry-Heinz from stubbornly pursuing it. This nonsense has absolutely no basis in fact. It's nothing more than a work of complete fiction, a get rich scheme devised by the likes of Al Gore, who has literally made millions off of it. What it is, is yet another way to tear down this country. Which explains why so many sleazy Democrats, including that dolt, John Kerry-Heinz, remain so much in favor of it. They see this as being their golden opportunity for allowing the government to seize even more of our private economy. This is just one more reason why the Democrats must be defeated and never again permitted to assume majority status in either house of Congress. And to see the justification for such a claim, we need look back no further than to the last three years to witness what damage they can inflict upon this country when handed a majority in one or both houses of Congress.
