THE SHEER IDIOCY OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE CONTINUES AT FULL SPEED AHEAD!

Just how ignorant are the American people? I find myself asking this question yet again. Another recent poll gives us an idea, and apparently, they remain pretty damn ignorant! Now keep in mind, it is these same Americans who voted for a divided government this past November, but who are now saying that they want the parties to work together. A majority even comes out opposing, and at all costs, any federal shutdown over budget matters, so says that same Bloomberg National Poll. The fact that a substantial number of Americans to be of such an opinion, very clearly shows to me that the battle to get this country back onto any kind of an even fiscal keel could, quite possibly, already be lost. I can't help but wonder if there some point at which they would be willing to actually fight to preserve what's left of this country. And it remains a mystery why it is that so many Americans fail to recognize what a pathetic bunch of liars the Democrats are. Tough measures are going to be what’s called for here if we are ever to be able to dig ourselves out of the situation that the Democrats have put us in. Where was the “working together,” now being demanded, when the Democrats were working overtime to shove some of the most outrageous spending programs in history, down our throat? Have these "Americans" been living under a rock for the last 24 months? And according to this poll, it was by a 3-to-2 margin, that the respondents said that they wouldn’t support the kind of impasse that brought the federal government to a halt in 1995, when President “BJ” Clinton and congressional Republicans couldn’t agree on a budget. An even higher 9 out of 10 say they want Democrats and Republicans in Congress to cooperate to solve the nation’s problems, according to this poll which was conducted December 4-7. What these imbeciles apparently fail to grasp is the fact that there is never any effort put forth by the Democrats to cooperate with anyone other than their follow Democrats. So to desire such a thing goes well beyond wishful thinking with it bordering on being psychotic.

The Republican Party, a month after an electoral triumph that netted 63 seats and control of the U.S. House, and significant gains in the U.S. Senate, as well as huge increases in state offices, remains unpopular, with a plurality having a negative view. Democrats do slightly better: A plurality have a favorable impression of that party. This statement more than any other clearly lays bare the absolute stupidity of the American people to the point where I feel it very safe to say that the future looks, like those who took part in this pool, not to bright. It is a level of stupidity that is far from being a very good indicator for being able to accurately predict that any improvement will take place in the economy. “If Republicans are seen as blocking for the sake of blocking, they will test the public’s patience,” says J. Ann Selzer, president of Selzer & Co., a Des Moines, Iowa-based firm that conducted the nationwide survey. The "public's patience?" So I guess that I can now surmise that the public was “patient” as it watched Barry assume complete control over their healthcare system? If so, then the public is very obviously made up of a significant number of morons. And it is in all likelihood that it is this segment of our population who listens very intently to the continuous drivel spewed out by the 95 percent of the "news" media that is fondly referred to as the “state run media.” Referred to as such because it is nothing more than an extension of the Democrat Party propaganda apparatus. As hard as it may be to understand, at least for me, it seems that Barry "Almighty" is more popular than either party, with 52 percent of Americans holding a favorable view, compared with 44 percent unfavorable. In an October poll, 55 percent held a positive opinion and 40 percent a negative one. Even so, respondents of this most recent poll, are divided over whether the president deserves re-election in 2012, with 42 percent saying yes, 45 percent saying no, and 13 percent saying they’re unsure or it depends on the alternatives. Just how fickle can a group of people be? Obama’s re-election numbers are higher than those “BJ” Clinton had two years into his first term, in a Gallup poll. In October 1994, 38 percent said he was worthy of a second term. He won in 1996 with 49 percent of the vote.

This ridiculous "Rodney King" mentality that far too many Americans now seem to possess is also reflected in the poll respondents’ view regarding their bizarre desire to see the parties work together and avoid any fighting in Congress over the ratification of a new Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START) with Russia. More than 6-in-10 say the U.S. should ratify the agreement. So, over 60 percent of Americans are in favor of lessening America's ability to deter attacks against us from any number of existing nut jobs currently running around in a very violent world. All that poll shows and makes very obvious, is the fact that at least 4 in 10 were bright enough to see through this crap for what it is and are aware that this treaty is far from being a good deal for our country. Boy, now doesn't that just give a warm and fuzzy. But then most likely many of those favoring this thing get a good share of their useless information from the clowns on CNN (Communist News Network) or those writing for the New York Times. Such sources as these are far from being the most reliable sources for any useful information, especially on matters of National Security. Republican leaders have stalled consideration of the measure, vowing to block passage of any bill until Congress takes up legislation extending the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts and a stopgap funding bill to keep the federal government operating. Sounds rational to me. While 56 percent say Congress should avoid a federal government shutdown, 38 percent say they would support it if lawmakers reach an impasse on budget issues. What that indicates to me is that only 38 percent of the population are serious about getting the country back onto stable fiscal footing and wish to see this country successfully dig its way out from under what this disastrous president and his Democrat cohorts have wrought. For anyone who has been paying any attention at all for the 24 months, it should be painfully obvious that it is next to impossible to "get along" with Liberal Democrats. And it's beyond foolish to think that anyone can. It’s simply not worth the time or the effort. Christ, it's no wonder we're in the mess that we are.

“If the government shuts down, a lot of things are affected and a lot of people would be put in a bad situation,” says poll respondent Ryan Galloway, 30, a wounded Iraq War veteran who lives in Georgetown, Texas. “If it was just Congress shutting down, I wouldn’t care about that because they don’t get anything done anyway.” Sorry Ryan, but you're a bonehead! First of all, I do want to thank you for your service to you country, I am a veteran myself having retired after 24 years in the Navy. But I do find myself wondering where is it was that you were wounded. Was it your head?  Getting wounded fighting for your country, doesn't give you license to be stupid.  To have any hope of resolving the whole crisis that is currently ongoing, requires the bringing about of the requisite measures no matter how drastic. Measures that are desperately needed in order for there to be any hope whatsoever of our country being able to survive. We must realize that this is not about what's best for you or for me. It's much bigger than the both of us. Because what it's about is what's best for our country and what guarantees the best chance of its advancing into the future retaining some semblance of a free nation. Shut the damn government down! Shut it all down! Shut it down for as long as needed if it will help clean up this mess that our brilliant Socialist Democrat Party has created. I want the Republicans to do whatever needs to be done to fix this mess. Sorry there Ryan, but you're whining. And nobody likes a whiner! Also in the poll, Republicans are more likely than Democrats to want lawmakers to stick rigidly to principles instead of compromising and working with the other party, with 19 percent supporting that view, compared with 3 percent of Democrats. Gee, now there's a shocker!

“Nothing is ever going to be accomplished if everyone just digs their heels in,” says poll respondent Patricia Jarvis, 52, an "Independent" voter and middle-school teacher who lives in Semmes, Alabama. “The whole point of the Congress is for everyone to come together and solve the problems of the country and achieve a suitable solution.” Patty, I hate to be the one to have to tell you, but you're a bimbo. And let's face it, by calling yourself and "Independent," you're also admitting to being somewhat of a coward. It's common knowledge that those in your profession are more than likely always Democrats, so do yourself a favor and just fess up. Everyone, I guess according to Patty, the Republicans are just supposed to roll over and allow themselves to be repeatedly run over all in the name of being bipartisan. They're should be willing to allow of the Democrats to further the same America destroying agenda that we have witnessed over the course of the last 4 years, or since Democrats assumed control of Congress. It's people like this, this school teacher, who possess absolutely no ability for rational thought whatsoever, and who have essentially aided and abetted the Democrats as they have continued to shove this country further down the road toward total economic collapse. I mean look at what has transpired over the course of just the last two years. Barry has literally seized control of two American automakers, and big chunk of our financial sector and nearly 100 percent of our healthcare system. Oh, and let's not forget how Barry now has controlling interest in every single loan to be made in order to attend one of our so-called institutions of higher learning. Is this the kind of stuff that makes you happy, Patty? If not then it's going to require that someone dig their heals in order to put a stop to all of this insanity and stop any further rabid expansion of our already out of control government!

According to this poll, with the exception of U.S. relations with other countries, more Americans apparently disapprove than approve of Obama’s performance on virtually every aspect of his job. Ok, I have to admit this is another thing that ticks me off. So I guess a majority of Americans are thoroughly satisfied with the way this schmuck goes around on his too numerous to count visits to any number of foreign lands, and not only slams his own country but busies himself apologizing for us. What? America is the most giving country this World has ever seen, and I'd like to think that most of us would agree that the World is a much better place for having America in it. This man has proven himself to be nothing short of an embarrassment, and to say that Americans approve of his performance in this area is really quite shocking, and even appalling to me. But most people do disapprove of his handling of the economy and creating jobs as well as with health care. Barry receives the lowest marks on his handling of the budget deficit, where 60 percent disapprove. Overall, 47 percent approve of his performance as president, while 48 percent disapprove. To say that Barry inherited an economy gripped by the deepest recession since the Great Depression is a patently untrue statement. What's true is the fact that it is the worst recession since the one inspired by one of Barry’s Liberal Democrat predecessors, Jimmy "Peanut Brain" Carter with its double digit inflation, interest rates and unemployment. While it is claimed that recovery is now taking hold, showing an anemic 3.2 percent growth over the past year, unemployment rose to a seven-month high of 9.8 percent in November, significantly above the 7.4 percent rate that prevailed in December 2008, the month before Barry was inaugurated. And if we're looking at the true unemployment rate before Barry's mumbo jumbo is applied to the numbers, then it's more like 17 percent. And what was it exactly that got us back on our feet after the Carter disaster? Ronald Reagan REDUCED TAXES!!

And what the Hell is it about Hillary Clinton’s that seems to make her so popular with so many. And why is this tired, worn out old hag still the least bit relevant. She's every bit as much of a Socialist as is Barry "Almighty." For some unbeknownst reason, Barry has continued to maintain the highest favorability rating for any politician or political group tested in this poll, with the exception of the sea-hag, our esteemed Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, who is viewed favorably by 65 percent. 65 percent? While over on the Republican side, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, a potential Republican presidential candidate in 2012, is viewed favorably by just 33 percent. Republican Representative John Boehner of Ohio, who will become House speaker in January, is viewed favorably by 30 percent of respondents, while a plurality, 48 percent, say they don’t know enough about him to render an opinion. As Boehner has received more media attention, his favorability has increased while his unfavorability has declined, compared with the Bloomberg poll in early October, when he had a 26 percent favorability rating. Democrat Nancy Pelosi of California, the current House speaker, is viewed favorably by 31 percent, while 48 percent rate her unfavorably. Those numbers are largely unchanged from October. Former President George W. Bush also continues to be viewed negatively, with 57 percent holding an unfavorable view.

On issues facing the nation, unemployment and jobs remains the top concern for most, with 50 percent naming that as their top issue. A quarter of poll participants list the federal deficit and government spending, with other issues attracting relatively little attention. The budget deficit totaled $1.29 trillion in the fiscal year ended Sept. 30. Nine out of 10 poll participants say they want the federal budget to be balanced in 20 years. There is greater division over other possible items on the legislative agendas of both parties. The Republican goal of repealing the health-care overhaul passed earlier this year is supported by 55 percent, the poll shows. Three-quarters support passage of a comprehensive immigration law and half want a constitutional amendment to define marriage as between a woman and man. Two-thirds oppose cutting corporate taxes, though 6 in 10 support cuts to individual taxes. Evidently these stellar individuals still fail to comprehend the fact that corporations don't pay taxes, they simply pass the cost of such things along to consumers or, of which, I would imagine, these same 1000 poll takers are. And almost 6 in 10 support the extension of unemployment benefits to those who have been out of work longer than 99 weeks. To that I would simply ask, why. Is it that they enjoy subsidizing someone's ability to stay at home and watch soaps because they can make more money doing that than to actually go out and look for work? The Tea Party, which helped propel Republicans to their historic gains last month, is viewed favorably by 37 percent and unfavorably by 41 percent, with 22 percent unsure. Yeh, yeh, I know it is these simpletons who believe that the Tea Party folks are nothin but a bunch of racists. About a quarter of poll participants say they support the movement. The majority of Americans, 57 percent, expect Tea Party candidates elected to Congress will start compromising to get things done, while 32 percent expect them to remain true to their principles. I'm not sure if I even understand that question.

The poll described in this post was based on interviews with 1,000 U.S. adults age 18 or older and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points. I do have a question, however. What might have the I.Q. be of these 1000 people? And how much time do they spend on the making of themselves properly informed about what it is that has taken place, and continues o take place, in this country since January 20, 2009? Do these 1000 people really give us an accurate indication regarding the thinking of most Americans? If so, then, my friends, we are in some very deep kimshee! With this level of ignorance being so prevalent I think it safe to say that America may already effectively be dead, we just don't know it yet! So it’s damn the torpedoes and full speed ahead with a substantial number of Americans having now resigned themselves to notion they are somehow entitled to the benefits reaped by a growing reliance on the federal government. But the evidence that that is not a good idea and of the very ugly consequences that such a mentality can only lead to, is happening right before eyes. For those Americans reluctant to accept what a failure Socialism actually is and to where it is that Barry and the Democrats wish to lead America, need look no further than the current unrest in western Europe. Evidence is everywhere that Socialism is collapsing. The countries of Europe are headed away from that which Barry and the Democrats now have us speeding toward. Does that make sense? To anyone?
