WHY DO WE ALWAYS ALLOW OURSELVES TO GET SCREWED IN THE SELECTING OF THESE MODERATORS?

OUR MODERATORS

Why do we conservatives continually allow ourselves to get screwed every four years when it comes time for these presidential debates? We're always made to tolerate moderators gleaned from our very corrupt, and extremely biased, state-controlled media complex I fail to understand why it is that we refuse to put our foot down and demand at least one presidential debate be moderated by someone who is impartial and who possesses more than a sixth grade education and is not an outright socialist. I have to agree with conservative media watchdog Brent Bozell who has since come out and slammed the choice of only mainstream-media correspondents to moderate this year’s presidential debates, which could determine the outcome of this very important election. And, rightfully so, he blames the Republican establishment for allowing it happen.

“I scratch my head and ask myself the same question: How are they so dense?” Bozell says. “Here you’ve got Bob Schieffer, who’s been just slamming Paul Ryan all weekend long, and he’s going to moderate a debate." he went on to say, “And all you’ve got to is look at the footage of his past debates.” Adding,. “He’s terrible.” Personally I would have thought that Schieffer's continuing battle with senility would have been an obvious disqualifier, but I guess I was wrong. It's like those on our side are afraid to send up the bullshit flag here. Why is it that we refuse to play the game in the same manner that our sleazy Democrat opponents play it? Frankly I'm getting a little tired of just rolling over. There is a tremendous amount resting on the outcome of this next election, now is not the time to go wobbly. We need some folks with some backbone!

The Commission on Presidential Debates, is the group responsible for the schedule for this year’s all-important presidential debates. Some conservatives have accused that organization of showing a progressive tilt. And it's been reported that its nine-member board includes a past president of the Mexican-American Legal Defense and Education Fund; as well as Howard Buffett, the son of Berkshire-Hathaway’s No. 1 Obama backer, Warren Buffett. So the fact that no conservative journalists were named should come as no surprise. The first debate will be held in Denver on Oct. 3. It will be moderated by longtime leftist and self-described 'newsman', Jim Lehrer of the government subsidized PBS. “He’s pretty middle-of-the-road as a newsman,” said Bozell of Lehrer. “But watch him on the debates, he tilts strongly to the left.” I've watched this clown and he's not middle-of-the-road!

The second debate with be moderated by Martha Raddatz, who I'm told is the senior foreign affairs correspondent of ABC News. But since I never watch ABC News, I wouldn't know. Anyway, it wall be held on Oct. 11 in Danville, Ky., and it will feature the vice presidential candidates, at least the present ones: Incumbent 'Slow Joe' Biden going up against GOP Rep. Paul Ryan. Because it is said that Biden’s 'strength', and I use the term loosely, is said to be foreign affairs, having Raddatz as moderator could work to his advantage. Although with Biden possessing an IQ that is somewhere in single digits, I don't think Ryan has too much to worry about. Especially as that debate will cover both domestic and international topics. Biden got his ass handed to him by Palin, so I don't see him fairing all that well against Ryan. No offense to Gov. Palin, I just think Ryan comes to the debate better prepared.

The third debate will be held Oct. 16 at Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y., and will feature the troll from the Communist News Network (CNN), Candy Crowley, anchor of CNN’s State of the Union program. “Candy Crowley isn’t that bad, in fact she’s had some positive moments,” Bozell said in a recent interview. “But she’s going to be drinking from the CNN Kool-Aid, and they’re the ones who are going to prepare the questions for her. So it’s going to be predictable.” The final debate will feature senile old Bob Schieffer, the longtime CBS correspondent and moderator of Face the Nation, on Oct. 22 in Boca Raton, Fla. Schieffer, for obvious reasons, is well respected in leftist state-controlled media circles, as he has the rather nasty habit of asking questions on Face the Nation that suggest a point of view. He's another one of those fossils who should have retired years ago.

Bozell says he is “rather surprised” that no one from Fox News will moderate a debate. Frankly, so am I, since in November 2010, it was Fox’s election night coverage that drew more viewers in the 10 p.m. slot than any of the broadcast networks. “They’re no longer step-children,” Bozell said of Fox. “They’re major players in this. Why don’t I see Bret Baier, why don’t I see Shephard Smith, and a number of people who are not doctrinaire conservatives by any step of the imagination -- why don’t we see them?" I don't think Smith would be a good choice, he'd be no different from the current batch. But I do agree with Bozell when he said, “What about Britt Hume?” Or when he said, “…Where’s somebody from the Washington Examiner, the Washington Times, or Newsmax? It’s not like the left has a monopoly of talent.” I would argue that the talent on the right far surpasses that which we see on the left.

I agree with Mr. Bozell when he laments the fact that Republicans committed to the panel of debate moderators far too willingly and without much insistence on a more evenly ideological balanced field of moderators. And he blames, as do I, GOP leaders for not standing firm. “Unfortunately, nothing’s changed,” he says of the tenor of the debates. “This has been going on for decades.” And he's right! Now granted, I suppose there is a possibility that the Romney camp could use this to their advantage as Reagan did in 1980. But it requires them to really be on their toes. It goes without question that this batch of moderators will provide to Barry a sort of home field advantage. And it's always the same way. This election is a crucial one for this country, our very survival is dependent upon its outcome. And I think it very safe to say that this cadre of leftist moderators will cheerfully contribute to the effort to get Barry re-elected.
