From the truth is stranger than fiction section comes a real laugher and yet one more classic example of how John "The Maverick" McCain has truly slipped a cog. You see, our buddy RINO McCain, for whatever strange reason, now seems to be of the opinion that Barry can now be seen to be evolving into 'much more centrist', a fact that will make him 'much' easier to work with. Good old John says, Barry "Almighty" has seen the light, having now shown signs that he's becoming more centrist regarding that which he wishes to accomplish, and will undoubtedly make him much easier for other RINOs work with. If anything, all this does nothing more than to add even more credence to what we all already know and hate about McCain and why he had so much trouble garnering the necessary conservative support during his last run for the White House. I am curious though, just what is it that Barry has done, or said, that would convince this senile old coot into thinking that Barry has now moved anywhere near to the center? McCain represents the "gang" of saboteurs, like Graham, the bimbos from Maine, Alexander, and any number of others, who have managed to infiltrate deep into the Republican Party, all the while masquerading as conservatives but who are actually anything but. The only time these faux conservatives loudly proclaim their conservative values is always around election time. And yet the voters keep falling for it. McCain is nothing if not more than just a little disingenuous when goes about making this his most recent and very silly claim.
So it was then that when speaking with Bloomberg Television the day after his private meeting with Barry, McCain said that he could now easily picture being able to work with Barry on any number of important issues going forward. "I think there's a number of issues we could work on together, and I think it's pretty clear that the president has really pivoted to a much more centrist position, which I think makes it much more for us easier to work with him," McCain said. McCain said his meeting with Barry was "cordial," as his relationship with the president has been. Can anyone out there think of even one example, just one, regarding anything that Barry has sought to inflict upon this country, that any self-respecting conservative would be willing to support? I sure can't. And now this guy, McCain, just won reelection. Personally I'd like to know just what the Hell it is that old McCain is either smoking or drinking, because it must be some pretty powerful stuff. For anyone, especially someone who likes to run around claiming to be a conservative, as does McCain, to say that Barry has seen the light, as did "BJ" Clinton, and has now recognized the political wisdom of moving more toward the center, is more than being naïve. What it is, is reckless and more than just a little dangerous. And if we allow ourselves to fall into this little trap that McCain seems to be assisting in setting for us, then we’ll have no one to blame but ourselves. We need to be very wary of those who seem to go out of their way to convince us something that we know in our hearts to be false.
"The relationship I've always had with him is cordial," McCain said. "We had strong differences on ObamaCare, on the stimulus package — and they were passionate differences — but we've always had a cordial relationship, and that's based on my respect for the office of the presidency of the United States." Since the 2008 election, McCain has been one of Obama's biggest critics, particularly on government spending and repealing the "Don't ask, don't tell" policy barring gays from serving openly in the military. After the attempted assassination of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.), though, McCain praised Barry's speech at the memorial service for the victims of the shooting. But for what this man, Barry, has done to soil the office of the president, and in such a very short time, he is deserving of nothing but the strongest form of contempt. He is a disgusting, vile and patently dishonest human being that is committed to bringing about the collapse, economically, financially and internationally of the country he was duly elected to lead. He is in a position to do grave damage to this country, and already has on any number of fronts. I think it very safe to say that at this particular moment in time he is the most dangerous threat that this country now faces. He cannot be trusted, and neither can those who make the claim that somehow suddenly he has altered his entire philosophy. He has been a Marxist and a statist his entire life, and remains one to this day. His closest friends throughout his life have been devoted in their hatred for this country. And suddenly we're to believe, because another fraud makes the claim, that this man truly has become a centrist. No, I don’t think so.
McCain said he thought he and Barry could work together going forward on issues like immigration reform, and enhanced rescission. Look, both of these individuals are strong proponents of some sort of amnesty for illegal aliens, no matter how much McCain may claim that he now sees the light after his last little soiree into that arena. Here we have McCain who really isn't all that close to the center himself on a lot of things, now saying that Barry is moving in that direction. Sorry, but I've seen no real proof that would substantiate the claims made by McCain, and until I do, it just ain't so. Seeing is believing. And just because McCain says so, don't make it a fact. McCain's meeting with Barry was their first one-on-one discussion since right after the 2008 presidential election. Some observers have called Barry's decision to extend all the Bush tax cuts and his appointment of former JPMorganChase executive William Daley as his chief of staff are signs that he is now moving more to the center. That's noting but pure, unmitigated drivel. Neither of these things proves anything, and for anyone to put more stock into them than what really should be, just isn't too bright. We can ill afford to be lulled into some false sense of security, thinking that this enemy of the state that is our president has any intention whatsoever of altering the direction in which he presently has our country headed. A direction that was set upon on day one of Barry setting foot into the Oval Office. And that direction nowhere but straight down. "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits."
