AS THEY SAY, HINDSIGHT IS ALWAYS 20/20…

Apparently, if I’m reading the results of a recent poll correctly, if many voters had the chance of a electoral do over, it’s quite likely that Barry "Almighty" would, today, find himself in some pretty serious trouble. Because, if they could, voters might now be demanding that a vote of no confidence be taken regarding Barry’s handling of his job. Lucky for him that’s not the way we do business in this country.

And it would also now appear that we have arrived at the point in this country where a plurality of voters now seem to be of the opinion that Barry ‘Almighty’ is not simply a bad president, but he is quite possibly the worst president that we have had since World War II. Because according to a Quinnipiac University poll released just today, 33 percent of voters now think that Barry is the worst since 1945.

For all those Bush haters they can take heart in the in the fact that Barry’s predecessor, the man from whom he claims to have inherited all that is bad, came in as being the second-worst president with 28 percent. Richard Nixon came in third with 13 percent of the vote. After Jimmy Carter, who 8 percent of voters said was the worst president in the time period, no other president received more than 3 percent.

Personally I would have probably put Carter in right behind Barry and for no other reason than because the last time much of what we’re seeing take place today, here at home as well as internationally, last occurred under the bonehead Carter. Make no mistake, I had plenty of disagreements with how Bush did things, especially in the area of spending, but I still think he’s far from being one of the worst presidents we’ve ever had.

And it was also in this very same poll that 35 percent of voters said that Ronald Reagan was the best president we had since World War II. Reagan received nearly twice as many votes as any other former president. And in what kinda left me scratching my head was the fact that the ‘alleged’ rapist ‘Slick Willie’ Clinton, still managed to come in in second place with 18 percent. Liberals still love this old pervert.

And strangely enough ‘BJ’ was even able to edge out one who is often referred to as being a Democrat icon, that other lying womanizer, none other than John F. Kennedy, who came in in third place with 15 percent. And proving that he still has a group of diehard supporters, Barry came in fourth with 8 percent saying that he was the best. I’m sure the vast majority of blacks think he’s the best and for no other reason, of course, than because he’s black.

This poll also revealed the fact that 45 percent of voters said the U.S. would be better off with Mitt Romney serving in the White House, compared to 38 percent who said the country would be in worse shape. The choice was of course sharply divided along party lines, with Republicans choosing Romney by 84 percent to 5 percent and Democrats choosing Barry by 74 percent to 10 percent. Independent voters came in with a 47 percent to 33 percent nod to Romney.

Voters said 48 to 48 percent that Barry is honest and trustworthy and 51 to 47 percent that he cares about their needs and problems. He also gets a negative 47 to 51 percent for leadership qualities. Barry also got negative grades for how he handles most key issues, including 40 to 55 percent for handling the economy; 37 to 57 percent for foreign policy; 40-58 percent for healthcare; and 44 to 51 percent for terrorism.

But while this poll may make for some interesting conversation, the results matter very little. Because the sad fact of the matter is that we’re saddled with this guy, Barry, for another two and a half years, which is more than enough time for him to do a lot more damage. And it simply doesn’t matter that we now think that we’d be better off under a President Romney, because what we have is Barry "Almighty". And sadly this time we don’t have a Ronald Reagan waiting in the wings.
