MAN, WOULDN’T THIS BE FANASTIC?

As a big fan of Herman Cain, I was pretty happy to hear how it is that the former Republican presidential candidate leads Georgia GOP Sen. Saxby Chambliss handily in a Public Policy Polling survey of potential primary match-ups for Chambliss in 2014 – 50 to 36 percent. The incumbent Mr. Chambliss has drawn the ire of conservatives, and you can count me among those, in recent days for expressing a willingness to abandon the Americans for Tax Reform pledge against tax increases. Sadly at this point in time, however, Mr. Cain has expressed no interest in running. But wouldn’t be great if he could be convinced to do so?

Only 38 percent of Republican primary voters favor Chambliss as the party’s nominee next year, compared to 43 percent who want someone more conservative. A total of 45 percent of Republicans approve of the senator’s job performance, while 36 percent disapprove. As for the businessman Cain, 68 percent of Republicans have a favorable opinion of him, compared to 20 percent who have a negative view. Chambliss does holds big leads over the Republicans who have shown the most interest in opposing him. Rep. Paul Broun trails 57 to 14 percent, Rep. Tom Price 52 to 34 percent, and former Secretary of State Karen Handel 52 to 23 percent.

"Saxby Chambliss is in a weak position with Republican voters, but right now most of his potential primary foes have low name recognition," Dean Debnam, president of Public Policy, said in a statement. "If one of them mounts a strong campaign, though, he’ll be in a lot of trouble." Personally I think Mr. Cain would be the perfect alternative to Chambliss, who has been in Congress way too long. The people of Georgia need to work on trying to convince Mr. Cain to throw his hat in the ring. He must be made to realize that his country needs him and many like him if we are to have any hope of moving beyond this very dark time.

AND THE CHARACTER ASSASSINATION OF HERMAN CAIN CONTINUES...

Well-known publicity whore, Gloria Allred has crawled out of the woodwork yet again. I swear, when it comes to smelling out opportunities that will get her mug out in from of the cameras, she has the nose of a bloodhound. So it would now appear that this sleazy bitch has now signed on with the forces determined to bring down a prominent black man who has the audacity to have strayed off the Democrat plantation and in a very public and highly visible way. The media is now very focused in its efforts to slander the GOP candidate, and as such are more than willing to provide to Ms. Allred that which she craves more than life itself, unlimited time in front of a television camera. There ain't nothin this old brooch wearing hag won't do for a little TV exposure.

And so it is then that just when these claims of sexual harassment against Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain were beginning to die down, here comes old Gloria, in what I'm sure that the those in the state-controlled media must view as, riding to the rescue. She comes charging over the hill and armed with a name and a face that will now be attached to one of those who Mr. Cain is alleged to have pestered. Old Gloria, who has, quite literally, made a career out of representing women in sex cases, said she will present the woman at a news conference in New York on Monday afternoon. And in what is sure to be a feeding frenzy atmosphere, I'm sure participation by those of the state-controlled media will be very high.


And, of course, this will be the first time that any of the women who have accused Mr. Cain of improper behavior has decided to come forward publicly and therefore will most likely result in reigniting a controversy that Mr. Cain's campaign has been desperate to damp down since it was first brought to light. It was some website called Radar Online that first reported old Gloria’s involvement on Monday morning. The site described the accuser as “a new woman,” suggesting that she is not either of those who laid formal complaints against Cain in the late 1990s or a woman who told The Associated Press that Cain harassed her. The impression that our state-controlled media is trying to create here is one in which they would like us to believe that we have a serial pervert seeking the GOP nomination.


By the way, it is this website that is operated by the same company that publishes the National Enquirer, Star and OK! Tabloids, and has said that Allred has promised that her client “will discuss, in detail, what she alleges occurred with Cain.” According to the site the alleged episode occurred when she said that she went to Mr. Cain “for help with an employment issue.” Mr. Cain has spent the past week trying to get his campaign back on track after the Politico website reported that two women were paid to quit their jobs at the association after they made formal complaints about Mr. Cain’s behavior. Mr. Cain has denied the allegations, but, because he is not experienced in gutter politics, could have handled things much better.


Now it's pretty clear that Mr. Cain hasn't really done himself any favors in how he has attempted to put this story to rest. He initially declared that he had never sexually harassed anyone, and that he knew nothing of any settlements. He then changed his stance, saying he remembered one of the cases and the woman had received an amount similar to what she would have got if she had been terminated: “Maybe three months' salary, I don't remember,” he said. “It might have been two months.” However, with reports now having surfaced saying that woman received $45,000, more than a year’s salary, while the second woman received $35,000, the equivalent of 12 months’ pay.


Mr. Cain has largely managed to survive the allegations so far because up to this point his accusers have remained anonymous, and the details of what he is said to have done have remained sketchy. The name of the $45,000 woman was expected to become public last week but changed her mind and issued a statement through her lawyer Joel Bennett. During a news conference, Bennett alleged that the harassment had gone on for “at least a month or two,” but gave no details of any kind regarding what it was the allegedly went on. The second woman has alleged that Cain invited her to his hotel room while at a convention in Chicago. The third woman said Cain invited her to his corporate apartment in Washington, D.C.


Look, this is but only the most recent example, on a long list of many, of why the American people need to simply tune out those who comprise what used to be referred to as the "mainstream media." While many of these faux journalists continue to claim that no bias exists in today's state controlled media, in all actuality, they might as well identify themselves as full time members of the Democrat Party propaganda machine. They now essentially take their marching orders from the DNC and fully recognize their primary purpose as being to do whatever is necessary in an effort to sway public opinion so that is comes to favor Democrat held positions. Practicing all manner of deceit they long ago moved away from strictly being providers of information, to where they are more interested in fabricating information and passing it off as the truth.

CAIN PLAYS THE RACE CARD, SORT OF...AND RIGHTFULLY SO!

Ya know I'm usually one of the first to complain about all of the usual racial accusations constantly being hurled around by paranoid and insecure black politicians, including Barry "Almighty," and their eagerness to constantly play the race card. Usually it's used as nothing more than some lame excuse, an attempt to blame others for their own stupidity or something they view as being a method by which they can net for themselves some political points. It's done so often that it has essentially become something to be expected. But every once and a while there is sufficient evidence that provides a certain amount of validity to the accusation. And Herman Cain and this sexual harassment issue that has now raised its ugly head is a perfect example. Those on the left just love to accuse the right of being so racist, but it's those on the left who harbor the deepest racist sentiments. To look for the prime example of the deep-seated level of racial hatred that exists on the left, simply go back and see what Clarence Thomas was subjected to. All that was missing then was the white sheets. And blacks are not the only ones on the receiving end of the racial wrath that inhabits the left. Conservative Hispanics, as well, are made suffer the indignity perpetrated by racist Democrats, as did Miguel Estrada, a highly qualified judicial nominee who was never confirmed because of outright racism from the left.

Listen to any of the drivel spewing forth from those on the left, either in the media or from so-called political experts, about what they describe as being the only reason Mr. Cain is doing so well in the polls. They say it's because he's seen as a black guy who knows his place. And some of the most insulting language is coming from Mr. Cain's fellow blacks. I agree with Ann Coulter when she says that the left genuinely fears this guy. I mean here we have a very smart man, who also happens to be black and conservative, and therefore is not to be tolerated and, if possible, is to be destroyed by any and all means available. And even if the opposition can scrounge up some Anita Hill clone whose willing to accuse him of some wrong doing, besides those folks who probably weren't going to vote for anyway, whose going to believe her. My first question to her would be, "So, just how much is the Democrat Party paying you for this smear job?" Mr. Cain has dared to stray off the Democrat plantation, and therefore must be punished. He is to serve as the example to be made of in order to deter others from wandering too far off. As far as Democrats are concerned, blacks are to be tolerated only so long as they recognize their place in the big scheme of things and willingly choose to relinquish their freedom in exchange for whatever scraps the Democrats see fit to bestow upon them.


Anyway, it was on FOX News' "Special Report" just last night that presidential candidate Herman Cain told the panel, after being asked, that yes, he believes the charge of sexual harassment against him has to do with his race. The exchange on the panel went like this:


Charles Krauthammer: "Mr. Cain, when Clarence Thomas was near to achieving position of high authority, he was hit with a sexual harassment charge. You contending for presidency, the office of highest authority, leading in the polls for the Republican nomination, all of the sudden get hit with a sexual harassment charge. Do you think that race, being a strong black conservative, has anything to do with the fact you've been so charged? And if so, do you have any evidence to support that?"


Herman Cain: "I believe the answer is yes, but we do not have any evidence to support it. But because I am an unconventional candidate running an unconventional campaign and achieving some unexpected unconventional results in terms of my -- the poll. We believe that yes, there are some people who are Democrats, liberals who do not want to see me win the nomination. And there could be some people on the right who don't want to see me -- because I'm not the 'establishment candidate.' No evidence."


"Relative to the left, I believe that race is a bigger driving factor. I don't think it's a driving factor on the right. This is just based upon our speculation," Mr. Cain also said.


So when Mr. Cain says that, yes, he thinks a lot of what's being said about him is racially motivated, sadly, I find myself agreeing with him. Look, here we have the possibility of a black man who has proven himself to be very successful in the private sector, was the CEO of a company, who is living proof that if you are black and living in America that you don't have to listen to all of those people telling you that you are a victim of an unjust society. These people should look at Herman Cain and a little light should go off in there heads as recognize the fact that they truly can become anything they want to be. But until they come to the realization that they're being lied to by the Democrats and until they choose to embark in a direction that involve greater personal responsibility and self-reliance, they are effectively dooming themselves through their own actions. They have allowed themselves to be convinced that it's others who are to blame for their misfortunes when in fact they are the ones responsible. Mr. Cain once said that many of these people have essentially been brainwashed, and there is a lot of truth in that. And they do themselves no favors by listening to the likes of Al "Bull Horn" Sharpton or Jesse "The Extortionist" Jackson. These two serve at the behest of their Democrat Party masters and should be ignored at all costs. Blacks would be much better off if they were to spend much more time listening to men like Mr. Cain.

HERMAN CAIN AND THE POLITICS OF PERSONAL DESTRUCTION...

While Herman Cain is now being accused of what would normally be seen as a resume enhancer if he were a Democrat, Herman and his team are going to have to become much better in how they choose to handle what could become a serious hit to his campaign. Having said that, I want to make it clear that, despite money supposedly having been paid to these accusers, what has been described by some as "hush money," I find it rather hard to believe that he did anything wrong. It never ceases to amaze me how these pathetic liberals who profess themselves to be so inclusive, are permitted to exhibit such racist behavior and yet never be challenged on it. It is just one more very clear indicator of the liberal bias in the state controlled media conglomerate. It's amazing just how quickly, and with how so little proof of any wrong doing, these people will go after any female or black candidate who is not a liberal.

So what we now have is Herman Cain's campaign adamantly denying the allegations that he was twice accused of sexual harassment while he was the head of the National Restaurant Association back in the 1990s. In a statement Sunday to The Associated Press, his campaign disputed a Politico report that said Cain had been accused of sexually suggestive behavior toward at least two female employees. The report said the women signed agreements with the restaurant group that gave them five-figure financial payouts to leave the association and barred them from discussing their departures. Naturally, neither woman was identified. Now you would think that if the supposed act was so egregious, there would have been a lot more than a mere five-figure payout. In realty, this is nothing more than the same caliber of smear campaign that was attempted against Clarence Thomas by the likes of Teddy Kennedy, who is now, thankfully, rotting in Hell.


The report being made is based on "anonymous" sources and, in one case, what the publication said was a review of documentation that described the allegations and the resolution. Reviewed by whom, someone on a little muckraking mission perhaps? Cain's campaign told the AP that the allegations were not true, and amounted to unfair attacks. "Inside-the-Beltway media have begun to launch unsubstantiated personal attacks on Cain," spokesman J.D. Gordon said in a written statement. "Dredging up thinly sourced allegations stemming from Mr. Cain's tenure as the Chief Executive Officer at the National Restaurant Association in the 1990s, political trade press are now casting aspersions on his character and spreading rumors that never stood up to the facts." Ok, this is a nice little summation of what's going on, but the campaign is going to need to be a bit more forceful in its denials here.


Asked if Cain's campaign was denying the report, Gordon said, "Yes." "These are baseless allegations," Gordon said in a second interview later Sunday evening. "To my knowledge, this is not an accurate story." Cain plans to continue with several planned appearances in Washington on Monday. He is slated to discuss his tax plan at the American Enterprise Institute, appear at the National Press Club and hold a healthcare briefing on Capitol Hill. I think it safe to say that at both occasions Mr. Cain can expect a goodly amount of questions on this topic, so he had best be prepared. Cain, a self-styled outsider relatively new to the national stage, is facing a new level of scrutiny after a burst of momentum in the race for the GOP presidential nomination. And with that increased level scrutiny comes and eagerness by those in the liberal to dig up as much dirt, substantiated or not, as possible on a conservative candidate.


The former pizza company executive has been pointing to his long record in business to argue that he has the credentials needed to be president during a time of economic strife. In its report, Politico said it confronted Cain early Sunday outside of the CBS News Washington bureau, where he had just been interviewed on "Face the Nation." "I am not going to comment on that," he told Politico when asked specifically about one of the woman's claims. When asked if he had ever been accused of harassment by a woman, he responded, Politico said, by asking the reporter, "Have you ever been accused of sexual harassment?" Cain briefly told a reporter on Sunday he would not comment on a report that didn’t even name the people who are accusing him. But while many are already maybe a little too eager to assign guilt, one conservative did come to Cain’s defense Sunday night. And that was Ann Coulter.


And I have to agree with Ann Coulter, who appearing on Jerry River's, aka Geraldo Rivera, "Jerry at Large" on Fox News, described herself as being “spitting mad” about “this attack on Herman Cain.” “Liberals are terrified of Herman Cain,” Coulter said. “He is a strong, conservative black man. Look at the way they go after Allen West and Michael Steele, and they’re not even running against Obama. They (liberals) are terrified of strong, conservative black men.” As for the substance of the attack on Cain, “What’s being alleged here isn’t even genuine harassment,” Coulter said. “Like I say, it isn’t touching, it isn’t groping; it’s ‘Ooh, he said something and we thought it was inappropriate.’” Which should make it all the more easy to handle by Cain's campaign team. They're going to need to be a bit more aggressive in nipping this silliness in the bud.


Coulter called the Politico hit piece an “outrageous attack on a black conservative who is doing extremely well and I think will be our vice presidential candidate.” But Cain’s team is going to have to much better in how it chooses to handle this potential campaign killer. Campaign spokesman J.D. Gordon, after repeatedly given a number of opportunities to deny the Politico report, refused to do so in his Sunday night telephone interview with Jerry. Gordon called the Politico report a liberal smear: “This is not even a sourced allegation,” he complained. But repeatedly pressed on whether the report is true, Gordon dodged the question every time: Is Herman Cain denying that two women were given a cash payout to hush up the allegations against him, Geraldo asked. And again, referring back to the Clarence Thomas episode, what is being perpetrated here against Mr. Cain, is nothing more than a "high tech lynching," albeit an updated version.


Gordon responded that “Mr. Cain deserves better than this.” Jerry, being ever the persistent gutter journalist wasn’t about to give up: “Do you deny that this ever happened?” "You know, Geraldo, just let me tell you. This is just an example of the inside-the Beltway media attack…” In the end, Gordon told Jerry the question of whether two women received cash payouts to settle the harassment allegations would have to be put to the National Restaurant Association. "Multiple sources" told Politico that the two women complained of "sexually suggestive behavior by Cain that made them angry and uncomfortable." Now I understand there is a fine line when denying accusations of this type, if you're too strong, then media morons, like Jerry, will begin to think that maybe there's some truth to them, if the response is too weak, inconsistent or even non-existent, the accusations only fester and become much more than they really are.


This form of slimy tactics is a perfect example of why so many good people refuse to run for public office. Why should they be forced to run a gauntlet made up of liberal faux journalists, and to expose their family to what is nothing more than the pathetic behavior exhibited by those same sleazy journalists. And it's always the conservative candidates who come under the most severe level of scrutiny. If Democrats were made to face the same in depth digging up of any dirt there wouldn't be but a handful in all of Congress. They're permitted to be "former" members of the KKK, take part in all manner if inappropriate behavior and are even permitted to have committed murder. Look back over all that was glossed over in the case of Barry "Almighty" regarding his background and very questionable associations. The net result here is the fact that we’re left with candidate essentially "selected by those in the media by their keeping certain information on some candidate under wraps regarding candidate they favor while exposing, or even making things up, when it comes to candidates that they oppose.

Ironically speaking, Mr. Cain is being blamed for committing an act that is ususally seen as a resume enhancement for Democrats.  And as any Democrat will tell you, the paying out of some sort of "settlement" is not an admission of any guilt.  Do I think Mr. Cain actually did what he's being accused of?  No, I think not.  He's now facing the slings and arrows of having now been labeled the "front runner."
