Ya know, I can’t help but feel like I have once
again been stabbed in the back by the very ones who were, only a few months
ago, asking me, no, begging me, to trust them, to put the fate of my country in
their hands. And I f*cked up, I trusted
them. I believed most too much of what I
was told before the last election, that if we would just make sure that the
Republicans won control then they would work their hardest to stop Barry, and
yet. In case any of you may not have
heard, to was just today that the Republican-led House once again raised the
white flag and handed Barry yet another major victory by choosing to back
legislation to fund the Homeland Security Department through the end of the
budget year, without restrictions on immigration. Now granted, our limp-wristed leader in the
Senate could have helped, but didn’t!
Speaker Boner outlined what he saw as being the
dwindling options for his deeply divided GOP caucus just this morning after the
Senate left the House with very few options. Boner pointed out that the issue is now in the
hands of the courts. And it was according
to aides that we heard how Boner told his caucus, "I am as outraged and
frustrated as you at the lawless and unconstitutional actions of this
president." He then went on to say,
"I believe this decision — considering where we are — is the right one for
this team, and the right one for this country." Conservatives had demanded that the funding
bill roll back Barry's immigration directives from last fall. Democrats had
insisted on legislation to fund the department, which shares responsibility for
anti-terrorism operations, without any conditions.
The GOP leadership's decision to cave angered more
than a few conservatives. Steve King of Iowa said, "This is the signal of
capitulation!" He added, "The
mood of this thing is such that to bring it back from the abyss is very
difficult." But more pragmatic,
‘establishment’, Republicans, or those whom we generally refer to as being
RINOs, seemed to welcome Boner's move.
One of the leading voices in that crowd was well-known RINO Peter King
of New York. It was he who said, "Sanity
is prevailing. I do give John Boehner credit." Let’s face it, Boner, as well as McConnell in
Senate, are nothing more than a pair of gutless wonders who are far too
cowardly to play the game the way the Democrats play it. And until they do that, we will only continue
to lose more ground in our effort to save the country.
So it was then that Congress will now be sending to
Barry’s desk a bill to fund the Department of Homeland Security through the end
of the budget year, without overturning so much as one of his illegal
immigration policies. The House earlier today voted 257-167 for the measure
that Barry is expected to sign. Without action, funding for the department
would have expired Friday at midnight.
It goes without saying that the outcome was a tremendous victory for
Barry and Democrats, and another defeat for the GOP. Republicans were unable to overcome united
opposition from Senate Democrats to their strategy. I’m afraid these day I’m getting nearly to the
point where I’m ready to become a Democrat, if no other than to just once
experience what it feels like to win.
I’m tired of losing.
Much has been talked about how it was that Prime
Minister Netanyahu gave speech to a joint session of Congress today, and how it
was than more than a few Democrats chose not to attend. And while I have no desire to lessen the
importance of the speech or the arrogance of the Democrats, we must also make
sure to take note that today we became just that much less of a Constitutional
Republic. We who genuinely love our
country have yet one more time been abandoned by those who profess to be our
leaders. They once again chose to take
the coward’s way out, instead of standing up to he who hates this country and
all that it stands for, while being backed up by a political party which is
well-known for being instrument in some of the darkest periods in this nation’s
history. I would seem today that we have no
way to counter it.
