THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE HAS DECLARED WAR ON THE TEA PARTY…
Apparently being quite eager to demonstrate the fact that it no longer supports the American economic system of free enterprise nor the America way of life, it now seems that the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is ready to wage what can only be described as being a full scale war on the Tea Party, at least when it comes to 2014 Senate primaries and elections. It will do so by providing a deep-pocketed boost to those it deems as being ‘acceptable’ Republican candidates. "Our No. 1 focus is to make sure, when it comes to the Senate, that we have no loser candidates," Chamber strategist Scott Reed told The Wall Street Journal. "That will be our mantra: No fools on our ticket." I’m not quite certain I quite agree with how they go about determining which candidates to support.
The financial support, which The Hill has now reported, could pour as much as $50 million into the campaigns of those candidates that the group had identified as being "centrist" Republicans, and is all part of what has become a very aggressive approach toward Tea Party Republicans. It’s something that has essentially been underway since the 16-day October government shutdown. The Chamber has expressed its displeasure with Tea Party favorites Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas and Sen. Mike Lee of Utah, who resisted passing a budget without a provision to defund Obamacare, triggering a stalemate. However, if what is now being undertaken by this the group does anything, it serves to expose its highly questionable agenda. An agenda that is in no way good for America.
It was just a month after what was really only a partial shutdown of the government that we saw the Chamber insert itself into the intra-party GOP voting by choosing to back establishment GOP candidate Bradley Byrne over Tea Party prospect Dean Young in an Alabama special House election. Sadly it was Byrne who came out on top in the contest, and who then went on to an easy victory in the Dec. 17 special election, defeating Democrat Burton LeFlore. And while I suppose it can be said that at least the Republican won, I would argue, was it the best Republican? So, with one victory firmly under their belt, The Chamber is now airing ads for Rep. Mike Simpson in Idaho, where he faces a Tea Party-backed challenger in his race for a ninth House term.
Meanwhile, the head of Heritage Action is vowing to challenge Republican leaders on a number of fiscal issues, and to keep active with grassroots activists. "Lawmakers do not have a monopoly on information, and we will continue to communicate directly with their constituents on important legislation as it moves through Congress," Michael Needham, chief executive of Heritage Action, the political arm of the Heritage Foundation think tank, said in a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal. He said most lawmakers "will find it difficult to go back home and defend votes that increase spending, increase deficits and undermine the rule of law." It is groups like the Heritage that we must work to support however we can in this battle for the soul of America.
So I think it very fair to say that what The Chamber is now very actively engaged in is not merely a war against the Tea Party, it’s also a war that is, and very aggressively so, being waged against the American people. And we, as freedom loving Americans, can ill afford to allow ourselves to be swayed by such a group, a group that so obviously does not share our values, especially when it comes to something as important as our deciding whom it is that we choose to vote for. I think we’re all able to recognize the fact that there is very little difference between these "centrist" Republicans and your basic, run-of-the-mill, Democrat. So why would we choose to vote for them? The fate of our country is in the balance, and The Chamber of Commerce is not on our side!
"We the People" will need to focus all of our energy on working to rally our own forces and to make it very plain to those who decide to take the same position as The Chamber appears willing to take, that we will not go quietly into the night and we will not simply rollover in the same manner that most of our Republican leaders have a tendency to do. We are willing to fight for that which we view as being ours and it is we, and we alone, who will decide who it is that’s to be the recipient of our vote. But if we are foolish enough to vote for any of these ‘centrist’ pukes that we are being told we must vote for, we will be doing ourselves no favors. What is essentially taking place here is that we are simply being conned by those who profess to be on our side.

FOR THE TEA PARTY IT’S DECISION TIME…
Many in the Tea Party movement are now feeling that they, essentially, got screwed, because this is far from the revolution the tea party had in mind. Just four short years ago, the movement and its potent mix of anger and populism persuaded thousands of costumed and sign-waving conservatives to protest the ballooning deficit and Barry "Almighty’s" health care law. And it worked to sweep into office what was thought to be a crop of no-compromise lawmakers into Congress and governor's offices and transformed political up-and-comers into household names.
But as many Tea Party stars seek re-election next year, conservative activists are finding themselves at a crossroads. Many of their standard-bearers, and I’m sure many of us can name at least a few, have embraced what are seen as being more ‘moderate’ positions on bedrock issues such as immigration and healthcare. "They keep sticking their finger in the eyes of the guys who got them elected," said Ralph King, a co-founder of the Cleveland Tea Party Patriots. Personally speaking, I will not vote for someone who told me one thing and then chose to do another.
And while some are hoping to rekindle the fire with 2014 primary challenges to wayward Republicans, many more say they plan to sit out high-profile races in some important swing states next year, a move that GOP leaders fear could imperil the re-election prospects of former tea party luminaries, including the governors of Florida and Ohio. Rick Scott, here in Florida, won office by attacking the health law and calling for deep cuts to state spending but has embraced the health law and signed one of the largest budgets in state history.
Similar to Scott, are Republican Govs. John Kasich of Ohio and Rick Snyder of Michigan are battling their GOP-dominated legislatures to expand Medicaid, a big part of the health law. So it would seem that these days the question we need to be asking ourselves, is there anyone that we can trust anymore? In the summer of 2009, tea party supporters took on lawmakers who had voted for the bank bailout and the stimulus package. The movement's voice grew louder after Democrats passed the health care overhaul, and voters took their outrage to the polls in 2010.
But not long after some Tea Party stars took office, political analysts said, they were forced to adapt to a changing landscape, particularly in states that Barry won in 2012, and to the realities of governing. Also is has been said that the Tea Party supposedly fell out of favor with some people. At its height after the 2010 elections, 31 percent of those surveyed considered themselves tea party supporters. A May survey found just 24 percent identified with the movement. Facing sagging approval ratings some Tea Party Republicans have since decided to shift tactics.
So I guess there is a decision to be made as another election looms just over the horizon, and it, most certainly, will not be an easy one. I’ve never been an advocate for a Third Party, but having said that, if the results are going to be the same regardless if the candidate elected has a D or a R after their name, what’s the point in voting for the one with the R? The argument has always been that that would only serve to hand to the Democrats control of Congress for, perhaps, generations. But seriously folks, is there any longer that much of a difference?

BEWARE OF THE TEA PARTY?
We have now been provided with further proof that the decades spent by our public schools failing to educate of our young, are now having the desired effect on our society. Because we've now arrived at a point where freedom loving Americans who cherish our Constitution are now considered much more dangerous than rag-headed, murdering religious practitioners of that supposed religion of peace. We have now, as a nation, truly gone round the proverbial bend, with proof of that coming from a recent Rasmussen poll.
Because according to Rasmussen, while half of all voters consider radical Muslims to be the bigger terrorist threat facing the nation, those who comprise the brain dead supporters of Barry, have identified a different villain, as they actually consider Tea Party folks to be just as big of a danger. So there you have it folks, those who believe in freedom, the Constitution, lower taxes and smaller government are now considered by some to be the bigger threat facing this country, rather than a bunch of murdering religious fanatics.
In what is the most recent Rasmussen national telephone survey it was found that just over half, or 51%, of Likely U.S. Voters consider Muslims to be the bigger threat facing the United States today. But it was 13% of these same folks who say they view the Tea Party in that way, while another 13% consider other political and religious extremists to be the larger danger. And then we have 6% who point to local militia groups and just 2% who see the Occupy Wall Street movement as the bigger terrorist threat.
However, and this is where things get a bit nutty, among those who can bring themselves to approve of Barry's job performance, it’s just 29% who see Muslims as the bigger threat while 26% say it’s the Tea Party that concerns them most. And among those who ‘Strongly’ approve of Barry, more of these boobs fear the Tea Party than fear radical Muslims. I'd be willing to bet that, since most blacks view Barry as being able to do no wrong, it's most of these geniuses who say they fear the Tea Party more than Muslims.
As for those who disapprove of Barry’s job performance, it's 75% of those who consider Muslims to be the bigger terrorist threat while just 1% name the Tea Party. Oddly enough, while the Occupy movement was allegedly targeting those "one percenters", upper income Americans are actually more likely than others to see the Tea Party as the bigger terror threat. Among those who earn six-figure incomes, 21% consider the Tea Party the bigger threat, while just 2% say the same of the Occupy movement.
And of those Americans who earn less than $30,000 a year,12% see the Tea Party as the bigger threat, and 7% say it’s the Occupy movement. Conservatives overwhelmingly see Muslims as being the greater terror threat, while wackjob Liberals are fairly evenly divided between Muslims and Tea Party folks. And something else that should come as no surprise is the fact that 20% of government workers see the Tea Party as the bigger terror threat while only 12% of private sector workers hold that view.
So you see, is it any wonder that our country is now headed down the crapper at full speed ahead. Those trying to save it and who are trying to point out how it is that things have become so upside down, are now viewed as the enemy. Our Constitution is being shredded, members of Congress as now marching to the beat of their own drum, ignoring completely those who put them into office and our president seems to think that he's a freakin King! And yet, it's the Tea Party that is somehow seen as being the biggest threat we face?

WE CAN ILL AFFORD TO LET EGOS GET IN THE WAY…
Ok folks, this might be the time to get a hold of ourselves, step back and take deep breath regarding the selection process that is currently underway, as well as the participants taking part. This is not the time to let petty differences or individual egos to get in the way, especially to the point where we endanger our chances of success by losing sight of the objective here. We need to remain focused and to not start eating our own. There has been enough of that nonsense taking place between our candidates, so the last thing we need to start seeing is the same sort of silliness coming from any outside sources. Ultimately, we are going to need to settle on one candidate and then work as hard as we can to get him across the finish line ahead of Barry. If we are unable to do that all we will succeed in doing is to provide Barry with his re-election without his even breaking a sweat.
I only bring this up because of a recent edition of Neil Cavuto’s show on the Fox Business Network where Tea Party Patriots cofounder Jenny Beth Martin had some pretty harsh words for presidential candidates other than just Barry. In fact, according to Ms. Martin, if it came down to Barry versus any of the current Republican contenders, she doesn’t know whom to pick. What? “Nobody is satisfied with the candidates out there,” says Martin. “They’re all losers.” And apparently her other cofounder, Mark Meckler, feels much the same way. Talking about Congress he said, “They’ve caved on every single point of principle since the Republican majority has taken over.” Adding, “It’s not a surprise; it’s disappointing, absolutely. It just shows that the revolution has just begun.” And in that respect he is right. We need to remain energized in our effort to take our country back.
Look, the last thing those on our side need to be doing is to create sound bites that can be used later by Team Barry to attack whoever the Republican candidate is. Regarding the presidential race, first these same critics come out backing a progressive in South Carolina and now this hissy fit! These people need to get their head on straight and get back in the game. Whether they like it or not we’re going to have to play the best player we have. The perfect candidate does not exist, but any that we have now running would be better than another four years of Barry. So how about we stop all the whining! And quite honestly if Jenny Beth had not come out for Newt in SC she’d have a bit more credibility regarding our opinion of our candidates. As for Congress they are right, up to a point, but the thing to do now is focus on getting more Tea Partiers in Congress. We need to stop whining and get busy!

"DINGY" HARRY FINDS THE TEA PARTY FOLKS 'DISCONCERTING'….
If I was a sleazy character like "Dingy" I might find those folks a little disconcerting myself. In what provided us with somewhat of an indication regarding just what role it was that was played by the Tea Party in the finally concluded debt debate, and how it changed the conversation on Capitol Hill, the concluding remarks of both "Dingy" Harry and "Spineless" McConnell, before the vote in the Senate, provided us with some idea. Their remarks focused on what the message was that the Tea Party has sent. Moments before the Senate prepared to vote on the debt deal, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said this debt ceiling debate will be a template for all future debt ceiling hikes and declared that those conservatives, the Tea Party, won. Senators passed the debt deal just after 12:30 p.m. I'm still finding it a little difficult to describe the resulting legislation from those past debt discussions as a victory. I still can't help but wonder if we didn't miss a grand opportunity here. But, be that as it may, it now heads off to Barry "Almighty's" desk for his signature before he heads off to Chicagoland for his big birthday bash/fundraiser.
“The American people sent a wave of new lawmakers to Congress in last November’s election with a very clear mandate: to put our nation’s fiscal house in order,” McConnell said, “And I want to assure you today that although you may not see it this way, you’ve won this debate. Most, if not all of the Tea Party Senators will vote against this deal today." McConnell said that he understands their frustration that they could not enact something more ambitious. And he attempted to assure them that they have made a difference in the way Washington works and will work going forward addressing the debt ceiling in the future. “It creates an entirely new template for raising the nation’s debt limit,” McConnell said, “One of the most important things about this legislation is the fact that never again will any president, from either party, be allowed to raise the debt ceiling without being held accountable for it by the American people and without having to engage in the kind of debate we’ve just come through.” Concluded McConnell, “the legislation the Senate is about to vote on is just a first step.” Wonderful sounding words, but I'm afraid not much else. These guys can always make these grandiose speeches while patting themselves on the back, but they don’t amount to a hill of beans.
Then we heard from "Dingy" Harry Reid, who countered, that it was the American people, and not the Tea Party, who are the real winners in this debate. “The winners without trying to outline who the winners are, there’s one winner throughout all of this and that’s the American people,” Reid said on the Senate floor, adding that McConnell “boasted” about the Tea Party Senators. “I welcome them all,” Reid said of the new Tea party Senators, “but as result of the Tea Party direction of this Congress these last few months has been very, very disconcerting and very unfair to the American people.” Reid said the Tea Party “stopped us from arriving at a conclusion much earlier,” to this problem. I would argue that what was the biggest roadblock in this entire process and what actually prevented the arriving at a conclusion much, much sooner was the pure intransigency of the Democrats lead by "Dingy" and our stellar president. That's what forced this discussion to drag on, becoming nothing more than some bizarre circus right out of the "Twilight Zone." It was very easy to see as the Republicans offered, and passed, plan after plan, who it was that was doing nothing more than saying without ever offering up a plan of their own.
In what can only be described as the under statement of the century, "Dingy" admitted that more needs to be done to reign in the country’s debt and deficits, and already started positioning for the work of the "super committee," that this bill will set up, will have to do. “We need to do something because the trigger that kicks in is very, very difficult,” "Dingy" said “And it has to be one that’s fair…it can’t be more cuts to programs that have made this country what it is. There must be a sharing of sacrifice.” I've heard this shared sacrifice bit until I wanna puke. Only 50 percent of us in country are paying income tax. How about those freeloaders who are living off of the rest of be asked to pony up a little something? These parasites are permitted to suck the rest of us dry so that they can then go back out and continue to vote for scumbags like "Dingy" Harry and his cadre of malcontents.

MAKING THE CASE AGAINST A THIRD PARTY...
The Tea Party folks have an important decision to make, and the future of the country is hanging in the balance. They’re going to have to think long and hard about what it is that they want to accomplish, because the consequences of their decision could prove to be very dire. Being a Tea Party supporter myself, I thoroughly understand where it is that these folks are coming from. I understand their frustration regarding the fact that our government has gotten far too big, far too intrusive and far too expensive to operate. But having said that, we must tread very lightly here and be a little rational in our decision making process, or all that we may accomplish in the end is that which we are trying the hardest to avoid. That being, of course, the handing back to the Democrats complete control of Congress, and the re-election of Barry “Almighty,” with them having had to expend very little energy or little of their own resources to do so. The reality is that there is a distinct possibility that Tea party candidates could undermine Republicans in congressional races so severely that the Democrats could win many of those congressional contests, at least according to a new Rasmussen Reports national survey. And wouldn’t that just have these guys laughing all the way back to Washington?
In a three-way congressional contest where there is a Tea Party candidate on the ballot, the Democrat could pick up 40 percent of the vote. The Republican would get 21 percent support, while 18 percent would opt for the Tea Party candidate. Just over 20 percent remain undecided. Doesn’t paint a very pretty picture, does it. Not surprisingly, Republicans and unaffiliated voters are much more likely to be undecided than are Democrats, at least according to the June 9 telephone survey of 1000 likely voters. This presents a slightly improved picture for Democrats from early February of last year. In a three-way matchup at that time, the Democrat earned 36 percent to the Republican’s 25 percent, while the Tea Party candidate won 17 percent of the vote. If the trend continues over the course of the next 18 months, all of those political soothsayers presently predicting that there exists a very strong possibility of a Republican sweep come the 2012 election may end up eating a healthy dose of crow. If there is to be a three-way race, then let that take place in the primaries. There should be only one conservative candidate in any general election, but should some fringe group from the left want to participate, all the better. We on the right cannot afford to splinter our votes.
In a two-way race, Republicans continue to hold a modest advantage over Democrats on the Generic Congressional Ballot. That fact does concern me a bit, because at a time when other polls have shown that a significant number of people think the country is definitely going in the wrong direction, you would think that Democrats would be trailing rather badly. Who is that these people think is steering us in that wrong direction, and have been for sometime now? But evidently, regarding our mentally challenged electorate, such is not the case. Because in the new survey, the Tea Party candidate draws 28 percent support from GOP voters, while 85 percent of Democrats back their party’s candidate. Just 45 percent of Republicans support the Republican candidate in the three-way matchup. Among voters not affiliated with either of the major parties, 15 percent like the Republican, 29 percent the Democrat and 25 percent the Tea Party candidate. Sixteen percent of all voters now consider themselves members of the Tea Party movement, down from 21 percent at the end of last year. Nearly 70 percent say they are not members, while another 15 percent are not sure. Not Sure?
It all comes down to priorities. It’s relatively easy to see what the priorities are of those who support Democrats, and why it is that they remain so loyal to their party’s candidates. Look at the groups who comprise the Democrat Party’s core constituencies. Minorities, primarily blacks, who always have the hand out waiting for the next taxpayer funded handout, Unions, environmental extremists of every sort, fanatical baby-killers, 90 percent of the state controlled media and, of course, most of academia. Their priorities are not ones that have anything to do with keeping America strong, either economically, militarily or international, they are, on the contrary, nothing short of being completely anti-American. Their priorities are sought in an effort to make us weaker on all fronts. So the bottom line is, where else is there for these leeches, kooks and fanatics to find a home, other than the Democrat Party. It just seems very irrational, and more than a little dangerous, to me for conservatives to contribute to the siphoning off of votes from Republican candidates so that whomever the Democrat may be in any specific race can simply walk across the finish line. What is of the utmost importance is that those of us who wish for a better future for our country remain very much “united” against those who most certainly do not. And those who do not are the ones who support Democrats.
I’m not asking anyone to go against that which you believe. I’m only asking that we all look at the bigger picture here. It seems to me that if we have learned anything during the first two years of Barry’s corrupt administration, it’s that one party rule, when it comes to the running of our government, results in nothing more than blatant abuse of power by the party in control. And it almost always results in a loss of more freedoms for the American people. I mean, can anyone say “Obamacare,” or economic “stimulus” or any number of the other obvious abuses of power that have occurred over the course of the last 29 months. What we need in this country is a very energetic and thriving two party system. Not a three party system that accomplishes nothing more than to effectively guarantee one party rule. As history has shown time and again, one party rule, specifically when handed to the Democrats, results in nothing more that rampant abuses of power and blatant examples of political opportunism. Democrats have proven the point far better than I ever could, that they cannot be trusted to carry out the will of the people. They need to be kept out of power if we are to survive, and anything that makes it easier for them to stay in power must be avoided all costs.
