MARTY O’MALLEY…ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF HOW DEMOCRATS AND ALCOHOL JUST DON’T MIX…

Once again we have another Democrat who, after apparently garnering a little courage from some nearby bottle, made it crystal clear why it is that so many Americans, at least those who work for a living, now call into question the sanity of those politicians who are members of the Democrat Party.  And while not currently in office himself, which is a good thing, he does possess the same warped mentality of those who are.  And of course I’m speaking about Martin ‘Marty’ O’Malley, a leftwing hack as well as someone who would seem to have a bit of a drinking problem.

You see it was Marty who recently saw it as being a good idea, I guess, to essentially force Ken Cuccinelli, acting deputy secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, to leave a popular D.C. pub on Wednesday evening after he, Marty, raised his voice and chose to berate Mr. Cuccinelly regarding the Trump administration’s immigration policies.  Both Mr. Cuccinelli and Marty appeared at the ‘Dubliner’ in the nation’s capital, a choice pub for Gonzaga High School graduates.  Apparently, both men attended the school, graduating five years apart back in the 1980s.

And it was an apparent witness to what was Marty’s, possibly alcohol fueled, outburst that apparently told the ‘Post’ that Marty was “shouting.”  And it was this same witness who then went on to say, “I don’t think Cuccinelli was responding.  I think he’s like, ‘Time to go. Just got here and I’m leaving.’ He pretty much retreated.”  And it was also according to the witness that Marty said “something about [Cuccinelli’s] grandparents.”  Perhaps Marty had had a bit too much to drink since we all know that Democrats are notorious for not being able to hold their liquor.

But it was according to Marty, via a text to the ‘Post,’ that while he did admit to “shouting” he said he raised his voice “just to be heard” in the establishment.  Marty said, “We all let him know how we felt about him putting refugee immigrant kids in cages – certainly not what we were taught by the Jesuits at Gonzaga.”  And he referred to the former Virginia attorney general “the son of immigrant grandparents who cages children for a fascist president” – “cages” that were “built by President Obama’s administration,” as the president has frequently noted.

I in no way fault Mr. Cuccinelli for taking what was obviously the path of least resistance, since it would have likely been a waste of time trying to respond to what was likely a very intoxicated Marty.  But that said, Marty is like any typical schoolyard bully, once you stand up to them they tend to be a bit less aggressive or choose go in search of another whom they see as being a far easier target.  And from my own experience it’s nearly always a waste of time and effort to try to argue with a drunk.  But still, Marty did deserve to be taken down a notch or, perhaps, even two.

And it’s those Democrats who are now enthusiastically applauding Marty’s very juvenile, rather sophomoric, and perhaps alcohol induced, tirade that was really little more than a belligerent attempt on Marty’s part to embarrass Mr. Cuccinelli at a Thanksgiving Eve school reunion, that seem willing to ignore that which was Marty’s disastrous record as both mayor of Baltimore and even worse record as governor of Maryland.  A record that makes clear he’s not any better at running a city, or a state, than he is, apparently, at holding his booze.  Which come as no surprise.

So on this particular evening, Mr. Cuccinelli chose to be a better man than I.  After all, better to ignore a petulant know-it-all, especially one who’s had perhaps a bit too much to drink, and just leave him to his virtue signaling for an adoring liberal crowd.  Mr. Cuccinelli likely had three possible choices: leave the guy to act like a spoiled brat, stay and try to have a discussion that would have likely left him screaming hysterically, or, my preferred option, to punch him squarely in the mouth. But then this boob isn’t worth an assault charge, so I’m thinking he made the right choice.

And for those who may not remember, it was Marty who served as mayor of Baltimore from 1999 to January 2007 and was governor of Maryland from 2007 until January 2015. It was during Marty’s tenure as mayor that Baltimore experienced a boom in murders.  In 2007, 282 people were killed in the majority-black city after the murder rate had been falling in the preceding years.  Marty also willingly turned a blind eye as Democrats welcomed in wave after wave of MS-13 gang members into the state’s neighborhoods and schools.  He made his priorities very clear to all.

And it was also during Marty’s reign as governor that Maryland’s median wages rose by a mere 2.2 percent, while housing prices rose at a much higher annual rate of 3 percent.  He did such a magnificent job as governor that the voters in this bluest of blue states actually chose a Republican, albeit a rather liberal Republican, to be his successor in 2014.  So is it any wonder that since leaving the governor’s office nearly five years ago that Marty has tried, and failed, to regain some level of relevance within the Democrat Party.  So we can why it is that he perhaps drinks a bit too much.

If nothing else, Marty’s record in office shows the devastating effect that Democrat policies always have on average American families.  On one hand Democrat politicians claim to be supportive of working class Americans, but in reality their policies are designed with only one purpose in mind, that being, or course, to hold people down so Democrats are better able to control them.  Marty also attempted to raise income taxes on Maryland's wealthy residents, and it was many of these same people ended up leaving the state resulting in Maryland losing well over $100 Million in tax revenue.

It’s Mr. Cuccinelli who runs the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services agency and is currently serving as the acting deputy secretary of the Department of Homeland Security. That task is made rather difficult, if for no other reason than, because he’s trying to balance competing demands from business groups and employees, while at the same time being forced to fend off, from Democrats like Marty, all manner of ‘emotional’ criticism and, as we saw from Marty, personal attacks not all of which come from those whose only excuse is that they’ve imbibed a bit too much booze.

In contrast to the lunacy advocated by those, like Marty, on the left, Mr. Cuccinelli has worked with President Trump to enforce a moderate immigration policy that protects Americans’ economic interests from the business pressure for more workers and renters.   It was at an October breakfast organized by the Christian Science Monitor that he told those reporters present, “The president has made no secret of the fact that he believes immigration, first and foremost, is set up to work for America — that means economically and for the people here.”

And it was then that Mr. Cuccinelli went on to say, “There is a lot of pressure in various sectors to utilize more immigrant labor for employment, whether it is for high-tech or low-tech in the economy … [but the president] has also made clear that is is important to protect ordinary American workers and to not displace them.”  And it would seem to be in that regard that so many Democrats, again like Marty, could not seem to be more disinterested.  The Democrat Party is no longer the party of the American worker, no matter how strenuously they may claim otherwise.

Democrats always blame the consequences of their actions on the Republicans. They do it to President Trump nearly every day. Every time the Democrats claim to have the president right where they want him, it backfires on them.  We went from Russia, to Mueller, to Ukraine, and even that is now dissolving right before our eyes. You would think Democrat voters would get tired of being lied to by their Democrat overlords and their media lapdogs, but strangely they don't seem to.  And I guess that might drive just about anybody to drink.  Maybe it makes it easier for them to cope.

The Democrats have basically spent three years doing nothing. They’ve achieved nothing. They haven't made things better for Americans, if anything they've made things worse. They don't seem to be able to handle the responsibilities of governing. They behave like spoiled brats doing little more than to throw one tantrum after another. They are Hell bent on spending other people's money but not in handling it responsibly. They attack the person, rather than the argument. They are essentially have nothing. They are just massively damaging and not the least bit helpful.

ACCORDING TO MARTY O’MALLEY, OBAMA GOES FROM HERO TO ZERO…

You know, I seem to recall how, just a few years back, there was a rather substantial number of Democrats who were so euphoric when it came to the election of the first black president that they very confidently announced that his election was something so special that with it would come 40 years of solid Democrat rule all across America.  Even the candidate himself had rather boldly proclaimed to anyone who would listen that ‘He’ was the ‘One’ for whom we had all been waiting, and if the American people saw fit to elect him they would be ushering in what he described as being a “fundamental transformation” of the United States of America.

Well, thankfully, that much ballyhooed claim about 40 years of Democrat rule fell just a bit short, by about 38 years, when it was just two years later that the Republicans were handed control of the U.S. House.  Not that they chose to do all that much with their new found power.  But if nothing else it did seem to start a chain reaction, of sorts, as all across the country as the Democrat Party was tossed out of a number of governors’ mansions, lost a rather impressive number of state legislature seats, as well as more than a few U.S. House and Senate seats and finally in 2016, even the presidency.  All in a span of eight years starting with the election of the ‘One’.

All of which brings to this past Wednesday and ABC’s “Powerhouse Politics” podcast during which 2016 Democrat presidential candidate and ex-Maryland governor Marty O’Malley made the rather unusually honest statement regarding how it was that ex-president Barry Obummer’s decision to set up ‘Organizing for America’ rather than “infusing” his energy into the Democrat Party devastated the party on state and local levels like a “bad forest fire.”  And while I think blaming most, if not all, of the problems currently facing the Democrat Party on Obummer is little more than an excuse, it is also something that should come as being not much of a surprise.

It was during this same podcast that Marty said, “To put it kindly, President Obama decided to set up a separate political organization rather than infusing that energy of his candidacy and his amazing and historic victory, rather than infusing that energy into the veins of the Democratic Party and making the Democratic Party new and more energetic, instead the president and his people decided to set up a separate organization in ‘Organizing for America.’  I guess the president, perhaps and his people, thought their roles in history was to transform us, allow all of us to transcend beyond the need for political parties. ”

He continued, “So when the Republicans and their small group of very wealthy donors, who are not afraid to write big checks, saw what was happening, they immediately filled that vacuum. And in a very methodical way, fielded candidates with a whole lot of money to run for state senate, state legislators, backed candidates for governor. And they were able to wipe us out at the state level and increasingly at the local level. We’ve never gone through a period of time, at least not in modern history were the Democratic Party lost so many seats and so many governors offices even as our president was a Democratic.”

And Marty went on to say, “That was a mistake that we made. We have to learn from that mistake. And I believe what is happening now is the party is regenerating itself, almost like after a bad forest fire.”  Now granted the Democrats did recently win a couple of governorships, in New Jersey and Virginia, but those were in two states where they were pretty much expected to win.  And just they did shortly after the election of Obummer, the Democrats might once again be feeling just a bit over confident.  Because, at least at this point, I doubt that these two victories can be seen as being some sort of harbinger regarding the 2018 elections.

But Marty is far from being someone who anyone should be listening to when it comes to what’s best for his party.  After all, he was the guy who ran the city of Baltimore into the ground as mayor, before becoming Maryland’s governor.  And it was after that, that he decided to run for president, and in the primaries couldn't even carry his home state!  We saw firsthand how the voters who knew him best wanted no part of him being their President!  He had done such a terrific job as governor that the people of Maryland elected only the ninth Republican governor in Maryland’s history to replace him.  That should tell you all you need to know about Marty.

But anyway, in getting back to Obummer, I think it’s safe to say that after his first four years many of us were able to recognize in which direction things were heading.  And why it took a full eight years for some folks to see what many of us were able to recognize much sooner, well, that’s something you’ll have to ask those who thought voting for Obummer once just wasn’t enough.  I know Trump's message was different but in 2012 there was a choice that would have allowed for at least a “slightly” different direction than to continue down the very SAME path for another four years.  But unfortunately it was another opportunity missed.

Missed because Romney was weak and, as it turned out, someone who was nothing more than another political creature of ‘The Swamp’.  To this day I feel that he could have beat Obummer, but he was just too worried about bringing up those issues he needed to in order to win.  But even at that, I did vote for him, and as disgusting as it may sound to some, I did it because I viewed him as being the definite lesser of two evils.  I knew he wasn’t the conservative I had been hoping for, but I felt that regardless of that fact, the dams would have closed a bit in 2012 rather than having them wide open during another four years of Obummer at the helm.

And I find it all to be rather amazing that all of these sore losers, like Marty, never mention all of the extremely bad legislative and policy decisions that have resulted in the Democrats, until very recently, continuing to get their asses handed to them, electorally speaking.  There’s never any mention about unpopular Obamacare, nothing about their addiction to identity politics, nothing against those Democrats who are so vocal in the supporting of any number of anti-US groups and nothing ever about what appears to a concerted effort by the Democrats to ignore white, middle class America.  Kind of what the Democrats are continuing to promote.

And I also found it interesting that Marty failed to mention the 70+ taxes that he signed into law during his tenure as governor, taxes that put a huge burden on the people of his state, such as his absurd rain tax.  Interesting too is how he failed to mention the 72,000 Marylanders who left the state during his tenure due to the punishing taxes and the absurd liberal policies that he put forward.  And he also failed to mention the fact that his Lieutenant Governor lost the bid to succeed him as governor when Marylanders picked Republican Larry Hogan, only the second Republican in nearly 50 years, primarily because of those tax and liberal policies.

But those like Marty fail to recognize that it was NEVER about money.  It has ALWAYS been about the ideology.  Democrats lost because they allowed, and even encouraged, socialists and communists to infiltrate your party in an attempt to change the very fabric of our country.  The American people were having none of it or of our Dictator-in-Chief who came into office as a man on what was nothing less than a mission to search and destroy.  And to assist him in his endeavor he had what was a proxy army, of sorts, in the form of the state-controlled media.  And it was Hitlery who had made it clear that Obummer’s mission, would be her mission as well.

Democrats attack our economy, our police officers, our schools, our doctors, our military and even the skin color of the majority of Americans.  And then they presented Hitlery as being their candidate for president.  Hitlery's ideology is not America first, it’s “Me First.”  Hitlery, she who has committed every crime known to mankind and is still allowed to walk free.  I just wish more folks would come to see the Democrat Party as something worthy of nothing more than to be relegated to the ash heap of political relevancy, if for no other reason than because of its near total lack of morality and a level of degeneracy seldom seen.  But I doubt many will.

MARTY O’MALLEY GETS ONBOARD THE ENVIRONMENTALIST CRAZY TRAIN…

Those on the left had better hope that old bitch Hitlery can pull this thing out, because those waiting in the wings, should she stumble even more than she already has, are all candidates who seem to more than ready for the loony bin.  Take as a for instance, Marty O’Malley, former governor of the People’s Republic of Maryland.  And so it was that fresh off his apology to an obvious racist who professed to be some Democrat strategist for saying that all lives matter, Marty has since seen fit to blame the rise of ISIS on, of all things, ‘climate change’.

Anyway, for as long as I have been paying attention he has ostensibly been trying to separate global warming from national security concerns.  But recently Democrat presidential candidate Marty O’Malley saw fit to jump on the environmentalist wacko crazy train, joining his fellow wackos who now claim that global warming is the true culprit behind the creation of those conditions which are necessary in order for the Islamic State to grow.  Now I’ve heard a lot of cockamamie theories coming from the left but I gotta tell ya, this one is pure idiocy.

It was in responding to a question on foreign policy that this genius told Bloomberg news:  “One of the things that preceded the failure of the nation-state of Syria and the rise of ISIS was the effect of climate change and the mega-drought that affected that region, wiped out farmers, drove people to cities, created a humanitarian crisis that created the symptoms — or rather the conditions of extreme poverty — that has now led to the rise of ISIL and this extreme violence.”  That this guy actually sees himself as capable of handling the job of Commander-in-Chief is laughable!

So, Marty’s comments now seem to echo those of Barry, John Kerry-Heinz and any number of other environmentalist wackos who continue in their effort to paint global warming as not merely as an environmental issue, but also a national security problem.  You’ll probably remember how back in May Barry told graduates of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy to prepare for the fight against global warming. The White House has been working hard to shift the focus of global warming away from temperature and more towards public health and national security.

In past comments, Marty has made a point to declare global warming a “natural threat,” distinguishing it from “man-made” threats, the greatest of which he said is a nuclear Iran.  It was back on March 29 that Marty told ABC’s George ‘Stephy’ Stephanopoulos that, “The greatest danger that we face right now on a consistent basis in terms of manmade threats is — is — nuclear Iran and related to that, extremist violence.”  He went on to say, “I don’t think you can separate the two. I think they go together.”

Marty would go on to add, “In terms of natural threats, clearly, it’s climate change. And we have to confront — we have to confront manmade and natural threats.”  Maybe it’s clear to those on the left who, despite the now overwhelming amount of scientific proof that has come out against their insane theory, continue to claim that the discussion is now settled.  Far from it.  With each passing day the claims made about the consequences of ‘manmade climate change’ become more extreme and all the more unbelievable.

But today Marty is singing a different tune, playing up the national security side of global warming, joining a chorus of ‘scientists’ and environmentalist wackos claiming the war in Syria is a prime example of how a warming Earth will cause violent conflicts.  For years, reports have been trickling out attempting to link the beginnings of Syria’s deadly civil war and the rise of Islamic State to global warming. Most recently, a study out of the University of California, Berkeley argued that man-made global warming made Syria’s 2006 to 2010 drought worse, therefore driving political discontent and civil war.

And while the study’s authors are careful not to claim that the drought directly caused the rise of ISIS, those that comprise the state-controlled media were quick to make just such a connection.  It would seem that anything that can even remotely be tied to the insane theory of ‘climate change’ and can in any way be said to support the theory that man is in fact the culprit behind some supposed warming of our planet must be exploited as much as possible.  But to believe any of this nonsense one has to be ignorant beyond belief, or a Democrat.

So, is global warming responsible for the rise of Islamic State?  Hardly.  Even if a drought did exacerbate tensions in Syria, research shows environmental factors are rarely the cause of violent conflict.  Other researchers have postulated it was the Bashar Assad regime’s response to the drought that sparked tensions, not the drought itself.  Syrians are no strangers to prolonged, vicious droughts. People there have weathered their way through low rainfall for centuries.  But that hasn’t stopped the hardcore believers from making their outlandish claims.

In terms of the climate science behind the claim, there’s not much evidence of a man-made fingerprint on the climatic backdrop of the conflict.  According to Chip Knappenberger and Patrick Michaels, climate scientists at the libertarian Cato Institute who wrote back on March 5: “It is not until you dig pretty deep into the technical scientific literature, that you find out that the anthropogenic climate change impact on drought conditions in the Fertile Crescent is extremely minimal and tenuous—so much so that it is debatable as to whether it is detectable at all.”

The two scientists argued “the identifiable influence of human-caused climate change on recent drought conditions in the Fertile Crescent was almost certainly not the so-called straw that broke the camel’s back and led to the outbreak of conflict in Syria.”  They then added that drought “conditions which are part and parcel of the region’s climate and the intensity and frequency of which remain dominated by natural variability, even in this era of increasing greenhouse gas emissions from human activities.”  None of this has any effect on the true-believers.

So the liberal hysteria surrounding ‘climate change’ mythology continues to intensify as believers continue to search out new and more calamitous ways that can then be used convince an increasingly skeptical American public that they now face an increasingly dangerous future if nothing is done to address this bogus threat.  The latest ploy is put forward the claim that if we do something about ‘climate change’ we will at the same time make Americans safer from those very same Muslims who seem so determined to kill us.  When all else fails, simply make shit up!

MARTY O’MALLEY, ANOTHER ENTHUSIASTIC SUPPORTER OF ‘SANCTUARY CITIES’…

I would appear that we now have another gung-ho supporter of that insane policy which allows an increasing number of our cities, over 200 at last count, to declare themselves ‘sanctuary cities’.  These being locales which Barry allows to leave unenforced federal immigration laws, while at the same time feeling justified in exposing their citizens to what has become an increasing level of violence posed by those who have absolutely no business being able to walk our city streets.

And it is on his campaign website that the most recent of those to come out in support of this questionable policy, Democrat presidential candidate Marty O’Malley, declared on Tuesday that, if elected, he would unilaterally grant amnesty to millions more illegal immigrations, push for unlimited immigration, and permanently disenfranchise American voters who seek to curb our current extreme immigration policies.  I’m not quite sure I should make of this.

And also part of Marty’s official presidential platform is a promise to completely dismantle interior immigration enforcement and to actually encourage state and local governments to defy federal immigration law.  Am I the only one who thinks that is a rather odd pledge to hear coming from a man running to be the office that is, according to our Constitution, responsible for ensuring that ALL of the nation’s laws, not just the ones that he agrees with, are “faithfully executed.”

States, so it would seem, are only autonomous insofar as they refuse to obey laws liberals don’t like. Such as, many states and localities have set policies that limit their cooperation with immigration authorities. The intention of these policies is, or so we are being repeatedly told, to protect residents’ rights and build trust between law enforcement and immigrant communities.  But as far as protecting residents, I’m thinking there isn’t much we can point to as being an actual success story.

We’re told that many sheriffs and law enforcement officers strongly support these idiotic policies because they allow local enforcement to more effectively promote public safety.  Now perhaps if you’re sheriff like the one they have in San Francisco who has his own criminal record, you might actually support such insanity.  But if you’re one who genuinely cares more about keeping law abiding people safe and less about politics, I doubt you’re someone who supports this cockamamie policy.

Marty said that as president he will also strongly oppose Congressional efforts that disrespect the autonomy of states and localities by coercing them, through the withholding of federal funding or other mechanisms, to rescind these policies.  Now to my way of thinking there’s a word for that sort of thing, it called blackmail, or am I misinterpreting what’s being said here.  And is that really the sort of behavior that we should expect, or that we deserve, from our president?

It’s on this point that Marty agrees with RINO presidential candidate Marco Rubio, which should tell you all you need to know about Rubio.  Rubio, by the way, still advocates for his failed Gang of Eight bill which also would have given sanctuary cities ironclad funding guarantees, allowing them to harbor dangerous illegal aliens who go on to shed more American blood and commit more crimes.  Which may be one reason that Marco seems to be slipping rather badly in most of the recent polls I’ve seen.

Last Friday, Marty defended sanctuary cities, in Spanish. Nothing should be done about the shooting death of a young white woman at the hands of a five-times deported Mexican illegal alien who told police he chose to live in San Francisco because it was a sanctuary city. He wrote in a statement. “It’s lamentable that the senseless and tragic act of violence that occurred in San Francisco is prompting a rush to judgment and finger pointing: we can and should do better.”  In others words, shut up and bury Kathryn Steinle without protest.

Marty’s commitment to preserving sanctuary cities while opening the floodgates of Third World immigration and shutting down detention centers all but ensure that that Americans will continue to face an increasing level of risk of being murdered, raped, and robbed by illegal immigrants who are allowed into the country.  Personally, I’m just not seeing how advocating such an insane policy can be, or should be, seen as being any sort of a resume enhancer for president, but then I’m not a liberal.

And please excuse me if I sound a bit too much like a liberal here, in other words cold, callous and uncaring, but I truly do hope that the next innocent victim who falls prey to one these illegal scumbags also just so happens to be the son or daughter of one of those imbecilic liberals like Marty who remain quite vocale in their support of these so-called sanctuaries for those in this country illegally.  And is it only me who sees this sort of policy as being rather selective?

Why is it that if some cities are free to ignore immigration laws, other cities, or even states for that matter, can’t ignore federal gun laws?   Why can’t they simply declare themselves as being ‘sanctuary cities’ when it comes to whether or not they wish to enforce current federal gun laws?  As it is, there are many gun laws already on the books, like so many of our immigration laws, that go unenforced, while at the same time we hear from so many on the left that what we need are even more laws.

MARTY O’MALLEY, ADVOCATING THE ‘RIGHT POSITIONS’…

If you’ve ever spent any amount of time listening to Democrats it’s usually in pretty short order that you come to realize that they have a rather over-inflated opinion of themselves.  They see themselves as not only being better than the rest of us, but also much more intelligent, more sophisticated, more compassionate and more tolerant than the rest of us.  Their methods, as well as themselves, are never to be called into question because their motives are pure as the wind driven snow.

And so it is, then, that during every election cycle we are always provided with a front row seat to what is essentially a competition, of sorts, between the candidates of the left as they set out to prove to the voters who among them is the more compassionate and more sophisticated and therefore the more worthy recipient of the liberal vote.  Which brings me to Marty O’Malley, ex-governor of the People’s Republic of Maryland, and, as of yet, unannounced 2016 presidential candidate.

Marty apparently isn’t a real big believer in that old adage, “People who live in glass houses, shouldn’t throw stones.”  It was recently that he accused Hitlery of following the "polls" instead of "principles."  I must admit that I always find it pretty hilarious whenever I hear Marty, or any Democrat, talking about abiding by “principles.”  In this instance Marty was taking issue with what he described as Hitlery's recent flip-flops regarding her supposed opinion on same-sex marriage and illegal immigration.

Marty said, "I’m glad Secretary Clinton’s come around to the right positions on these issues."  By ‘right positions’ Marty of course means the positions held by those on the left.  You know, the same ones who have what is essentially zero tolerance for those who chose to disagree with those ‘right positions’ no matter what the issue.  Those who oppose these ‘right positions’ must always be forced to disavow their religious objections or as in the case of illegal immigration, their support for the rule of law.

Let’s be honest here, what Marty seems to be referring to here as being the ‘right positions’ on these two favorite issues of the left, are not really what I’d call the ‘right positions.’  These ‘right positions’ are not even the positions held by a majority of Americans.  What they are, are the ‘right positions’ of those on the far left.  Because this is how far to the extreme that the left in this country has now become.  It’s how they go about demonstrating just how more enlightened they are.

Marty went on to say, "I believe that we are best as a party when we lead with our principles and not according to the polls. And every election is about the future. And leadership is about making the right decision, and the best decision before sometimes it becomes entirely popular."  If the last 6 years have shown us anything, whether talking about events here at home, or those abroad, it’s that the supposed ‘principles’ of the left simply are not conducive to a safe and prosperous America.

A reporter asked Marty if he believes Hitlery just follows the polls.  He said, "I’m glad Secretary Clinton has come around to the right positions on both these issues."  He added, "I believe marriage is a human right, not a state right. I’m glad she’s come around to that position as well. I believe that we do our country a disservice when we make it harder for new American immigrants to abide by the rules of the road and obtain drivers licenses. And I’m glad she’s come around to that position now too."

By Marty saying that he views gay marriage as a ‘human right’, he does so not out of any devotion to any principle or deeply felt core belief, he does so for the very basic, very political, reason of trying to have some effect on the polls.  And in the case of gay marriage, he’s seeking to demonstrate, at least to gays, that it is he who is more tolerant and more compassionate when it comes to the accepting of their rather ‘unorthodox’ lifestyle.  Because Marty’s future is tied to the polls.

Make no mistake here my intent here is not to somehow defend Hitlery against the accusations of another leftist, it’s merely to expose the hypocrisy of the accusations.  Acting out of one’s principles or one’s core beliefs is something rarely, if ever, seen when dealing with anyone who resides as far out on the left as Hitlery and Marty.  Because what drives these people, what they are literally consumed by, is the burning desire to destroy our country, and they will say anything to further their cause.

MARTY O’MALLEY MADE A MESS OF MARYLAND…AND NOW HE WANTS TO MAKE AN EVEN A BIGGER MESS OF OUR COUNTRY…

Well, you wouldn’t know from listening to any of his many recent speeches as he goes about trying to portray himself as being the only logical alternative to Hitlery Clinton for 2016, but old Marty, here, accomplished little more than to turn the ‘People’s Republic of Maryland’ into a pretty big mess during his eight year tenure as governor.  But that fact seems to be having little effect in dampening, even in the slightest, his presidential aspirations.  But, as they say, the truth will eventually win out.  For instance, taxpayers abandoned his state in droves during his tenure as governor and in 2014, his final year in office as governor, Maryland had the second-highest foreclosure rate in the nation. Now he’s doing his best to ride this embarrassing record all the way to the White House.

It was during one of those speeches, this one at the Brookings Institution earlier in March, that Marty did a little test-drive of the kind of campaign rhetoric that I’m sure we’re going to be hearing a lot more of, if in fact he does decide to officially throw his hat in the 2016 presidential ring.  He said, “Behind all of our data, there are people, living their lives, shouldering their struggles. They deserve a government that works.”  Unfortunately, in the state that Marty governed for eight years, he gave deserving Marylanders anything but a state government that worked.  Today, Marylanders endure what is the real Marty legacy, and it ain’t pretty.  The folks of that state have been made to endure higher taxes, pink slips, process servers, tax liens, and foreclosures.

While Maryland can be said to be blessed with a relatively stable and well-paid federal presence thanks primarily to its key military installations and its close proximity to Washington, D.C., as well as one of the nation’s best seaports and logistical networks of railways and highways, it’s even with such a sound foundation that Marty succeeded in driving jobs and businesses out of his state.  And the result was one of the biggest electoral upsets of the 2014 election that had Maryland voters electing a Republican governor.  Marylanders bounced Marty’s heir apparent, Lieutenant Governor Anthony Brown, out of Annapolis and voted instead for Republican Larry Hogan, a guy who never before held elected office, to come in and clean up the mess left behind by Marty & Co..

In looking back at all of the damage done during the O’Malley-Brown years, what we find is a pile of 40 tax, fee, and toll increases that created an additional yearly tax burden of $3.1 billion on top of what Marylanders were already paying the day Marty was first elected.   Did this drive taxpayers out of Maryland? Not according to progressive orthodoxy, but the IRS measures changes in the tax base for every state and county in the nation.  During Marty’s first term, when the majority of new levies kicked in, Maryland accounted for the largest taxpayer exodus in the Mid-Atlantic region, more than 31,000 between 2007 and 2010. The tax base in Baltimore City, Maryland’s most populous city, declined the most: Its 1.4 percent decrease topped all other Maryland jurisdictions.

And so I think we can safely assume that it’s all thanks to Marty’s tax policy that Virginia has now become home to some 11,400 former Marylanders, who took 390 million taxable dollars across the Potomac with them between 2007 and 2010.  In only three of Marty’s eight years in office, Maryland lost more taxpayers than 43 other states. This mass-exodus cost Maryland a staggering $1.7 billion in taxable revenues.  Another telling measurement of Marty’s “accomplishments” is Maryland’s foreclosure rate. At the end of 2014, Maryland ranked second-highest in the nation in foreclosures. The Washington suburb of Prince George’s County had the largest share. This predominately black county supported Marty in both of his statewide races. He repaid the county with foreclosures and economic distress.

Environmental extremism is another one of Marty’s trademark issues. His “rain tax” (collected on quarterly water bills) made Maryland a national laughingstock.  Small businesses weren’t laughing, though, when their water bills skyrocketed in 2013. Baltimore’s elderly, struggling on fixed incomes and already pressed by crime and collapsing neighborhoods, now face liens thanks to the rain tax.  Marty also botched, and rather badly, an opportunity to validate big government with the implementation of Obamacare in Maryland.  Managed by none other than Lieutenant Governor Brown, the administration squandered millions on Maryland’s health exchange and then burned millions more to start over. Brown, like a true Democrat, passed the buck blaming appointed officials lower down the totem pole.

In 2007, Marty came into office on a promise of better, cleaner government — the same promise he made at Brookings this month. Instead, under eight years of Marty, quality of life in Maryland deteriorated, jobs and businesses fled to Virginia, workers were crushed by new taxation, and we saw chronic budget deficits.  As governor, Marty displayed none of the qualities of an effective national leader: devotion to the people, courage, and independence. Marty had an opportunity in Annapolis to convince Marylanders that he was such a leader. Today Maryland is poorer for the experience.   If Marty is elected president, count on more government, more taxation, more regulation, and a government even more detached from the Constitution than the current one is.

And even after all of this, it strikes me as being quite remarkable that Marty is still being touted by such publications as ‘The Hill’ as being a worthy candidate who Democrats should at least consider as being an alternative to Hitlery Clinton.  In fact it’s this very leftist publication than makes the idiotic claim that it’s Marty’s list of accomplishments and his leadership skills that actually far surpass those of Hitlery.  Now I ask you, after experiencing all that we have over the course of the last six years, and with two more left for us to survive, is there anything about the man of whom we have been talking about here that would indicate that he possess a list of accomplishments or has demonstrated the necessary leadership skill that in any way make him deserving of being elected president?

ANOTHER COMMIE TALKING ABOUT 2016…

Apparently, the man currently at the helm there in the People’s Republic of Maryland, Gov. Marty O'Malley has said that he's now in the process of preparing for a possible run for president. This very devout Socialist has told The Washington Post that he can waste no more time waiting to see if Hitlery Clinton decides to throw her hat into the ring and finally declare herself a candidate for 2016. He says he needs to get started on the groundwork for a national campaign.

It was just this last Friday that Marty reported raising nearly $1.7 million last year with his very cutely named political action committee, O' Say Can You See. Marty says he's been speaking with foreign- and domestic-policy experts to flesh out his thinking about "a better way forward for our country." He has traveled to other states around the country over the last year to raise his profile, but he won't say when he'll decide on whether to launch a White House bid.

Ya know, there was a fairly recent Gallup poll out that was said to substantiate the claim that America is still a center-right nation. But I have to tell you I have my doubts abouts that. Because if that were truly the case, I doubt we’d be in the mess that we’re currently in. And wouldn’t you also think that, if true, there would be enough people now so pissed off about the shape our country is in that lefties like Clinton and O’Malley wouldn’t even be in the running?
