FILE THIS ONE UNDER…SICK AND DEPRAVED…

Another example of the outright moral decay on the left that seems to become a bit more obvious with each passing day, and usually requiring very little stimulation from the outside world, has been given a boost, of sorts, lately. You see it’s helped along of late by the murder spree of one ex-LA cop, Christopher Dorner. Dorner has now been accused of three revenge killings and left behind what been described as being a rather lengthy manifesto outlining all of his grievances as well as what he described as being his observations. That manifesto has given investigators some clues, but they still don’t know where Dorner is. Law enforcement did spend roughly four hours searching his mom’s Orange County home and ended up taking out about 10 grocery bags filled with alleged evidence. The left’s current favorite nut, Dorner, lost his job with the Los Angeles Police Department back in 2008.

His ‘manifesto’ vows revenge for that, and, surprisingly, or not, thousands of people actually support him. It’s hard to believe, at least for me, that there are those who actually sympathize with a man targeting police officers. One Facebook page is proclaiming Dorner for president. "We propose electing a man who could no longer sit idly by and watch as malicious tyrants abuse the innocent." The description on "We Are All Chris Dorner" chillingly says, "Yes, this is war." Nearly 3,000 people like the page "I Support Christopher Jordan Dorner." CBS13 posted a simple question: Why? Why support a man wanted for at least three killings and the author of a murderous manifesto promising to target cops? One sympathizer wrote us, "Because something needs to be done about the long known corruption of not only the LAPD, but several agencies." Another comment read, "He is god for now and I support him and this page."

"Most people would be shocked and appalled that people would support this," said Sid Martinez, who I guess is some assistant professor of sociology at Sacramento State. However, Martinez says he’s not surprised by the outpouring of support. He points to a long history of distrust and tension between parts of Southern California and the police, as the motivation behind the movement. Some are celebrating this former cop turned alleged cop-killer as a vigilante administering a sick kind of justice. "So, to see someone kill police officers, they may see this as a kind of way of standing against oppressive force," said Martinez. A number of supposed fake Twitter accounts have popped up and are only adding to the surprising debate. Most likely those fake accounts come from many of our so-called celebrities simply trying to hide their identities. Our gutless celebrities love to spew hate but don’t want to be made to face any consequences.

And in speaking about these celebrities, we have none other than everybody’s favorite burnout, Charlie Sheen, who was singled out by Dorner, wanting to do his part to bring the ex-LAPD officer safely into custody. However, I would argue, there seems to be very few willing to the lengths that Sheen seems willing to go. Sheen has recorded a video plea asking the wanted man to call him to talk things out. Dorner -- who is accused of killing three people including a cop -- mentioned a number of celebs in his online "manifesto," and wrote about Sheen, "Charlie Sheen, you’re effin awesome." Sheen recorded the message to Dorner a few days ago, saying, "You mentioned me in your manifesto, so thank you for your kind words. I am urging you to call me. Let's figure out together how to end this thing." So far there’s no evident that Dorner took Sheen’s words to heart, as he still remains at large.

And with Dorner being black we should have know that it would only be a matter of time before Jesse "The Extortionist" Jackson made an appearance somewhere. This little gem came from his website: "Dear Christopher Dorner, I understand your feelings of hurt and pain. I make this plea to you to stop spreading the pain, the hurt, and the fear. Please stop. Don’t take any more lives. Christopher, your mother is distraught and deeply concerned for your safety. There are many good and credible people in Los Angeles who will help you. Danny J. Bakewell Sr. (The Los Angeles Sentinel’s Executive Publisher/CEO) ,Bishop Noel Jones, Bishop Kenneth Ulmer and Rev. Charles Singleton are all individuals I know personally. I promise that they will gladly receive you. I will do whatever I can do for you without hesitation. Please contact me through Danny Bakewell at the L.A. Sentinel. Reverend Jesse L. Jackson Sr." And this pathetic douche bag calls himself a reverend. You’d think Sr. would be focusing more on Jr. who, as word has it, is going to prison.

So many on the left now have a new hero, of sorts, to cheer on as only they can. Their new cause celebre comes in the person of yet another cop killer, Christopher Dorner. I have no doubt, whatsoever, that we have many Hollywood types out there who are most likely secretly, or not so secretly, applauding his murderous exploits. And some of whom, I wouldn’t be the least surprised to find out, were among those who lent their faces and voices to a recent anti-gun ad the sprung up from out there in their neck of the woods. And when you then throw in clowns like Jackson, ever on the prowl to plaster his ugly mug in front of any roving television camera and many of those in our blatantly leftist/state-controlled media who have been quite busy, of late, spinning the murdering Dorner as being some kind of a whistleblowing victim of LAPD injustice, it all makes for less than a very pretty picture.

ANOTHER SOCIALIST REPUBLIC, MARYLAND, SEEKS TO BAN GUNS….

Comrade Martin O'Malley, the General Secretary presently in charge of running the Socialist Republic of Maryland, has now urged his fellow party members to pass legislation which will require residents of his state to obtain a license before purchasing a handgun. Comrade O'Malley, obviously a Democrat, and even more obviously a strong opponent of our Second Amendment right, testified before the Senate Judicial Proceeding Committee, (the what?), in favor of his bill, which would also, by the way, ban assault weapons, limit magazine capacities to 10 rounds and require prospective gun buyers to complete a safety course as well as to pay a $100 application fee. Which I think brings up the question of whether Comrade O'Malley's bill has more to do with raising revenue than with any supposed concerns about public safety as he claims.

Gun-rights advocates are set to descend upon Annapolis to rally against a bill that they say tramples on gun owners’ rights and won’t do anything to stop criminals who carry illegal guns. "The overriding problem with the governor’s bill is that it does little to address the bad guys with the guns," said Delegate Michael D. Smigiel Sr., Cecil Republican, who said rally organizers are expecting 1,000 to 3,000 people. "It deals with ways of curtailing law-abiding citizens from being able to exercise their full Second Amendment rights. Comrade O'Malley proposed his legislation last month in an effort he said was intended to fight gun violence and prevent incidents similar to last year’s deadly shootings in Newtown, Conn., and Aurora, Colo. But what he's actually proposing will, essentially, effect no one but law abiding citizens.

And while requiring a permit to carry a handgun in public is the norm throughout most of the U.S., only nine states currently require a license or permit to purchase a handgun. So in that respect, the Socialist Republic of Maryland (SRM) would be joining Connecticut and Iowa as states that require applicants to also provide fingerprints and give state officials authority to reject applications. Massachusetts, New Jersey and New York have authority to reject applications but don’t require fingerprinting, while Illinois, Michigan, Nebraska and North Carolina require licenses, but have no authority to reject applications. Supporters cite studies showing that license-to-purchase laws in these states have decreased illegal straw purchases and gun trafficking, but as always the numbers used can be manipulated.

"We lose too many American lives to gun violence," Comrade O'Malley said last week in his State of the State address. "Who can watch the sad images of the last several weeks, who can see the pictures of those young faces and honestly say we are doing enough?" I would like to ask Comrade O'Malley if the images to which he refers are any more sad than, say, images of those young faces belonging to victims who have died in horrific auto accidents, or those victims of any other incident that has resulted their death? While gun-rights advocates question the legality of license-to-purchase laws, Maryland Attorney General Douglas F. Gansler, another Democrat, issued an opinion last week saying that such laws are constitutional because the government is allowed to place some regulations on gun ownership.

Mr. Gansler added that Comrade O'Malley's bill would not allow the state to confiscate handguns purchased under current laws. O'Malley's proposal has heavy backing from his fellow Democrats, but is expected to receive virtually unanimous opposition from Republicans and conservative Democrats. In addition to questioning the bill’s impact on law-abiding citizens, Mr. Smigiel argued that the legislation’s licensing and training costs will discourage lower-income residents who might want to purchase a handgun for protection. He said Wednesday’s rally will be organized by groups including the Second Amendment Foundation and Maryland Shall Issue, two groups that have fought against the state’s concealed-carry permit law, which was struck down last year by a judge who considered it to be unconstitutional.

Ah, to be able to live in one of the many utopian/socialist republics that seem to be spread all across our great land. What must it be like to reside in a place where those in charge insist upon treating those not in charge, like children? And what must it be like to be told that the government doesn't think you responsible enough to own a gun? Personally, at this point in time, I think it's a pretty safe bet to say that many a bad guy, if they're not already, will soon be making a beeline for these tempting blue states that insist upon refusing their citizens the right to defend themselves. Which makes me, one who lives in a red state, feel a little bit safer. After all, there's many of us here in my state who remain well armed and with no noise coming from our leaders about the need to take away my ability to protect me and mine.

ONLY A LIBERAL 'THINK TANK' COULD DREAM UP SOMETHING THIS NUTTY...

Ya, I know, ‘liberal think tank’ is one of those oxymoron's like ‘extreme pacifist,’ but still one of them has now apparently come up with some kind of study that would seem to suggest that "global warming," if it were real, could actually be slowed by, yup you guessed it, working less. This new analysis suggests that a more 'European' schedule would reduce the effects of climate change. Well then I guess this would be at least one area where Barry "Almighty" and the Democrats can be said to be way ahead of the curve. Don't ya think? I mean let's face it, how many millions of folks are now no longer in the work force and therefore no longer working? How many more millions are now collecting disability and therefore spending more time on the golf course? I mean, Barry may have just cracked this whole "global warming" thing. Frankly I’m a little surprised that someone hasn’t thought of nominating him for another Nobel Prize. And we've been listening to the likes of Al Gore for all these years. I'm betting he’s wishing he would of come up with the idea of putting millions of Americans on the unemployment line.

So in what I guess you could say is an example of thinking way outside the box in trying to come up with a different solution for dealing what we're constantly being told is a worsening problem, this little group of ingenious liberal big thinkers came up with something that's so simple you have to wonder why no Democrat hasn’t thought of it before now. And what was there solution? You're just not going to believe it because it is so obvious in its simplicity. Their solution is to simply stop working so hard. Yup! So according to this new 'study' released by the Center for Economic Policy and Research, working fewer hours might actually help slow global warming. A worldwide switch to a "more European" work schedule, which includes working fewer hours and more vacation time, could prevent as much as half of the expected global temperature rise by 2100, according to this analysis. Before Barry, the only other president to ever put to test what this 'study' talks about, although unknowingly, was Carter. But sadly, then Reagan came along and screwed everything up by putting people back to work. Damn the bad luck!

This screwy little outfit called the Center for Economic Policy and Research is, like I said, an organization that's described as a ‘liberal think tank’ and it’s based, where else but, in Washington. Now the author of this brilliant little compilation of unmitigated bullsh!t which is rather generously referred to as being a 'study,' is some clown who actually claims to be an economist. His name is David Rosnick and in this study of his, he writes, "The relationship between [shorter work and lower emissions] is complex and not clearly understood, but it is understandable that lowering levels of consumption, holding everything else constant, would reduce greenhouse gas emissions," Mr. Rosnick does say that at least some of that supposed reduction can be attributed to fewer operating hours in factories and other workplaces that consume high levels of energy. Rosnick says that as developing countries' economies grow, they have two choices—they can either have a more laid back "European" style work schedule, or an "American" schedule that consists of little vacation and 40-hour work weeks.

"There's a lot of controversy—should the developing world follow an American or European model?," he says. Adding, "If the world were to follow a more European model of work, we would expect fewer hours, less output, and lower emissions of greenhouse gases." Mr. Rosnick also says that a move toward a European style of work ethic, or lack of, would result in a trade-off of up to one quarter of income gains in exchange for increased leisure time and vacation. His best-case scenario, which predicts prevention of up to a 1.3 degree Celsius temperature increase, and assumes that Americans would begin working about 0.5 percent less each year, starting with a 10-hour reduction in 2013. "We can get a similar amount of work done as productivity and technology improves," he says. "It's something we have to decide as a country—there are economic models in which individuals get to decide their hours and are still similarly productive as they are now." Ah, spoken like a true idealist and devout utopia believing in, liberal. How stupid is this? It shows very clearly just how far gone those on the left have become,

Now the esteemed Mr. Rosnick does admit that there are a few flaws in his analysis, in that the study didn't take into consideration the rise of telecommuting, which has and will continue to cut down on transportation emissions, and there is no way to know what a person would do with all of that new found leisure time. What, does Mr. Rosnick assume that we would all just stay at home and chill? I mean, and just for the sake of argument, working fewer office hours is unlikely to have much of an impact on carbon emissions if a person were, say, to take a Barry-style family vacation. "If people are taking a vacation, that means they're not commuting, but it might mean they're taking a plane ride," Rosnick says. Ok, so what the Hell is this clown really telling us? To not only work less, but when you're not working to spend your leisure time at home? Come on, is this not some of the nuttiest crap you've ever heard. This ranks right up there with Barry saying that if we would just kept our tires properly inflated we'd be able kick our dependence on foreign oil in no time. This is nuts!
