WHEN ALL ELSE FAILS, OBAMA MAKES IT ABOUT KIDS VERSUS CORPORATE JETS...

If Barry's news conference the other day accomplished anything, it underscored, once again and in very striking tones, what he sees as now being his strategy for winning the debt ceiling fight with Republicans. The reverting to that old Liberal Democrat tried and true tactic of making it a clash of the classes. It’s about to become all about victimization, about, Rich versus Poor, about Us versus Them and about those who support children, food safety, medical research and, presumably, puppies and apple pie versus those rich, and let's not forget evil, fat cats who don't. It's all just so twisted. Look, are we really going to fall for this same worn out rhetoric that has been around since, I can't remember when? Are we that easy to manipulate by this sleazy, corrupt politician and his even more corrupt party? Are we? Really? So I guess in the alternate universe where Barry currently resides, it's only the Democrats who are for kids while its those evil old Republicans, who are out only for corporate jets, and would just as soon throw all them kids under the bus. That is a sharp distinction that Barry hopes could help put the GOP on defensive, but it still may not be enough to persuade Republicans to change their posture on the debt-ceiling talks. Excuse me, but it’s the Republicans who are trying their best to preserve some semblance of a future for those very same kids, trying to prevent them from being essentially forced into servitude to an incredibly massive federal bureaucracy. The GOP has no reason to go on the defensive, all they need to do is to properly communicate the fallacy, as well as the blatant falsehood, of Barry's endlessly idiotic rhetoric. They need to find an articulate member of their group and to then present the facts as they truly exist, and their solutions for our present problem, circumventing the state-controlled media to the greatest extent possible, and going directly to the American people. They simply cannot afford to have their plan filtered through the very obvious liberal bias that permeates today's "mainstream" media. They should never turn down opportunities to make their case via those organizations that form the state-controlled media, but that should not be their primary avenue of choice in getting their ideas out to the American people.

Republicans have cast Barry "Almighty" as being nothing more than your traditional Liberal tax-raiser and a Big-Government spender and rightly so. I means let's be honest here, there has been more than enough proof made available over the course of his presidency, and before, to make that accusation stick. A presidency that, by the way, has already proven to be the most disastrous for this country since that of Jimmy "The Terrorist Lover" Carter. This latest lame attempt of his is, I guess, what he now sees as being the one weapon that may work to turn the Republicans' arguments against them. With more than his usual air of condescension and disdain, Barry even went so far as to dredge up the death of Osama bin Laden in his attempt to score some political points. Give me a break. "I've been doing Afghanistan, bin Laden and the Greek crisis," Barry said, jabbing Congress for being out of session so much. "You stay here. Let's get it done." Let's face it, Barry ain't been doing shit unless you count his very frequent little golf outings, the many fundraisers he has attended and any number of faux official trips which were essentially nothing more than extravagant family vacations. For him to stand up there and to say that he has been engaged throughout this entire process and has actually been leading on the issue is a joke and more than just a little disingenuous. In fact one might go so far as to call it a…lie. But as we have seen so many times throughout our history, the telling of lies doesn't hold the same stigma for Democrats as it does for the rest of us. It's nothing more than a means to an end. To them if the reaching of there desired goals requires a few lies to be told, so bet it. No harm, no foul. I'm sure we all remember quite well the steady stream of lies that we were told regarding Barry's supposed healthcare "reform." In fact we're still being told lies about it, only now the lies are coming from those individuals wearing the black robes of the judiciary. Judges, usually those appointed by liberals, can no longer be counted on to simply interpret the Constitution, now they read things into it that quite simply just aren't there.

In his news conference of a couple days ago, his first since March I might add, Barry insisted that the Democrats had made significant compromises in private talks by agreeing to billions of dollars in budget cuts that would hurt their voters. Not that would hurt Americans, only Democrat voters. You know the ones, the one who continue to pump out kids that they can't support, those who are here illegally and essentially anyone else that they’ve managed to get firmly attached to the government teat that they rest of us foot the bill for. Look, it is a solid gold political fact that Democrats do not compromise, never, they just don't, they only lie about doing so. They present the façade of compromise in order to concoct an image that then allows them to paint the opposition as not being unwilling to compromise. So let's not try to fool anyone here. And once again this is all nothing but a very transparent attempt by Barry to portray the Republicans as being nothing more than obstructionist. But, he whined, it's those stubborn Republicans who are refusing to bend by not agreeing to eliminate tax breaks to owners of those big fancy corporate jets and those evil, profit-rich oil companies. If Republicans get their way, Barry complained, the end result would be unbalanced deal that lifts the debt limit but forces the government to make deeper-than-necessary cuts. Don't you hate when your president is such a sniveling whiner? Then he did it, he went straight for the kids, saying that "If we do not have revenues, that means there are a bunch of kids out there who do not have college scholarships." "[It] might compromise the National Weather Services. It means we might not be funding critical medical research. It means food inspection might be compromised. I've said to Republican leaders, 'You go talk to your constituents and ask them, "Are you willing to compromise your kids' safety so some corporate-jet owner can get a tax break?" ' Sadly, there are probably enough Americans stupid enough to believe all of this tripe. Of course we know that roughly 99 percent of the black population in this country, completely unable to think for themselves, will lap it up, because, well because, that's what they do.

But just in case any viewers happened to miss his class-warfare message, Barry made sure to refer to those evil rich, corporate-jet owners, at least three more times before he finally taking his second question. Remember the game here folks, repeat the lie often enough, while getting plenty help from the state-controlled media complex, and soon enough the lie becomes something that is actually thought of as being true. But this was not the first time where Barry has spoken in what are the grimmest of terms about the consequences of cutting too deeply in order to strike a bargain that will win enough votes to raise the debt ceiling. But his rhetoric was sharper, and a bit more harsh, than it has been in the past, which may be an indicator of a certain level of desperation on his part. And it may well pose a bit of a risk this time around as it has the potential to anger Republican leaders just as he's supposedly trying convince all those watching that he's actually reaching out to them in compromise. Barry apparently has decided to throw caution to the wind and gamble that he will be able to muster up enough public pressure via his baseless accusations and will therefore end up in a better position to be able to force Republicans to bow to his demand. And as we all know, Barry is an expert when it comes to bowing. But Republicans are facing some pretty stiff pressure of their own; the influential Tea Party movement won't accept any tax increases and wants to see responsible budget cuts as being the option of choice when it comes to the debt limit. Barry's rhetoric may prove to do nothing more than to back them into a corner. Normally, the constitutionally challenged Barry seeks some kind of a middle of the road tone in his rhetoric, keeping his options open and burnishing his image as somebody always willing to find a bipartisan solution. An example of that was how he managed to tap dance around the issue of a New York law allowing for gay marriages during the same news conference. With liberal activists demanding that he support the measure and make gay marriage a cause of his presidency, Barry demurred. It's a states-rights issue, he said. "Each community is going to be different," Barry said. "Each state is going to be different." And said like he really believed it. NOT!

The bottom line here is that Barry and GOP leaders in Washington must soon come to grips with the fact that the nation's sluggish economy will almost certainly take a hit if Congress doesn't choose to increase the amount of money that the U.S. can borrow. Having said that, there has to be some rational spending cut made, because we simply cannot continue with our present level of insane spending. We simply cannot do it. Raising the debt limit was once a routine affair, but that now seems so long ago when the sums of money being discussed were nowhere near what we're taking about today. Republicans are demanding steep budget cuts and no tax increases as the price for votes in favor of raising the limit. All Barry and the Democrats want to do is to raise taxes, hence the stalemate. Barry hopes to save face, and as many Democrats favored government programs as he can. "The question now is, are we going to step up and get this done?" Barry said. He knows the answer is yes, and the only question is how. I guess by doing nothing more that acting like some political thug and calling the other side juvenile, school yard names, he thinks he can get the Republicans to acquiesce. Accusing them of just about everything possible so that they will eventually capitulate on their demands and come around to Barry's and the Democrats' way of thinking. I guess that's how Barry intends on getting this done. "Call me naive," Barry said, "but my expectation is leaders are going to lead." Barry is naive only if he thinks a single news conference is going to change the political paradigm. He's not naïve, what he is, is devious and insidious. And he should be very careful in that before he critiques the ability of others to lead, he should try doing a little of that himself. Because a leader he is not, nowhere close. He's just a fella who likes to vote present on the really tough issues while leaving the actual leadership, the heavy lifting so to speak, on important issues to someone else. It's just easier that way. And besides, it leaves him an out, where he has someone to blame if things go south. Not really a positive leadership trait.

REPUBLICANS HAVE BEEN DULY WARNED, CHICKEN OUT AT YOUR OWN PERIL...

The moment of truth may now have finally arrived for our Republican leadership in Congress. Demands are now being made, by the people, that they had best start behaving like the leaders that they profess themselves to be. It's wasa pas t time for then to start exhibiting a little much needed backbone. The people are now demanding that some level of sanity now be applied to level of nonstop spending that has now been underway for more than 2 years. I know, this is nothing new, the government has been busy spending wildly long before Barry came strutting into town, but he has definitely added significantly to the more recent madness. So it was then that the drive to accomplish some manner of major deficit-reduction deal entered a new phase Thursday when Republican negotiators pulled out of bipartisan talks, leaving it to Barry "Almighty" and House Speaker John Boehner to resolve the toughest issues. House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R., Va.) said he was backing out of the talks for now because the group had reached an impasse over the question of whether tax increases should be included in the deal. No surprise there, Democrats think tax hikes are the solution to everything. The only other Republican in the group, Sen. Jon Kyl (R., Ariz.), soon followed suit, agreeing that only the highest levels of leadership could break the logjam between Democrats' demand that the budget deal include tax increases and Republicans' adamant opposition to that demand.

The ongoing talks were supposed be aimed at striking some sort of a budget deal, or force some sort of Republican compromise, in hopes of easing the way for Congress to raise the government's $14.29 trillion debt limit. Treasury Department officials, led by "Little Timmy the Tax Cheat" Geithner, who continues to do his best "Chicken Little" routine, say that without additional borrowing authority all Hell is gonna break loose, and that if there is no agreement by August 2, the government will run out of cash to pay its bills. Well that kind of begs the question why the bills were allowed to get to high in the first place. This supposed whiz kid "Timmy" was one of those nut jobs rabidly supporting the disproven theory that we can spend our way out of our current economic slump. I'd say that's been disproven yet again! Anyway, they continue to warn that defaulting on any U.S. obligations could trigger yet another financial crisis and recession. More scare tactics from this incompetent team of boobs. Haven't we had enough of that? All this administration has done thus far, is to attempt to create one crisis after another all in an effort to pave the way for their mind numbing spending and government expansion. They exhaust all efforts at trying to convince us that the only way out of our current economic predicament is for the government to spend ever more money that we don't have. It's past time to slam on the brakes!

The assembled group doing all this discussing and led by stellar vice President, and the well-known plagiarist, "Slow Joe" Biden, canceled its meeting which had been scheduled for Thursday. The suspension of the group's work could signal the beginning of the final stage of budget negotiations, which most participants had long assumed would be concluded by Barry, Speaker Boehner and "Dingy" Harry Reid. Or it could indicate that the groups' members are unable to proceed in a direction that will actually accomplish the purpose of they're getting together in the first place. I'll leave that to you to decide. But in an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Mr. Cantor did say that, "We've reached the point where the dynamic needs to change." Adding that, "It is up to the president to come in and talk to the speaker. We've reached the end of this phase." Doesn't sound all that encouraging to me. But, who knows. Congressional and White House officials remained optimistic that higher-level talks could build on the tentative agreements reached by the so-called, "Slow Joe" Biden group. Mr. Cantor said the group had identified more than $2 trillion in spending cuts over the next ten years. However, a Democratic official close to the talks said the total was only about $1.2 trillion. "As all of us at the table said at the outset, the goal of these talks was to report our findings back to our respective leaders,'' old "Slow Joe" said. "The next phase is in the hands of those leaders, who need to determine the scope of an agreement that can tackle the problem and attract bipartisan support. For now the talks are in abeyance as we await that guidance."

Barry and Speaker Boehner had already stepped up their personal contact with each other and I'm sure everyone remembers the much-ballyhooed golf outing last weekend and the little-noticed meeting at the White House on Wednesday night. White House officials confirmed the meeting was held before the president gave his prime-time speech on Afghanistan, but they, of course, declined to say what the two men might have discussed. Mr. Boehner was notified Thursday morning of Mr. Cantor's decision to leave the talks. The speaker said later he understood Mr. Cantor's frustrations, and that he stood willing to engage in talks with the president. "I would expect to hear from him," Mr. Boehner said. Don't hold your breath there, Mr. Speaker. Oh, and Mr. Speaker, let's not decide to take matters into our own hands and agree to readily with whatever it is that Barry proposes. We all know he lies like a rug, and you are there to protect the American people. The recent breakdown should come as no real surprise to anyone who has been paying even the least amount of attention to what has been going on, because from the very beginning, the spendthrift Democrats have insisted that some form of new revenue or tax increases be part of any eventual solution, given the goal of the entire process is reducing the projected growth in the federal deficit by $4 trillion over 10 years. At the same time, however, Republicans have been equally firm in they're rejecting of any tax increases as the primary method of raising any additonal revenue. As has been said any number of time, what we have is not a revenue problem but a spending problem. However, I suppose both sides have some level of political incentive to resist compromise as long as possible in talks that are being very closely watched by their respective political base of voters.

At "Slow Joe's" group's last meeting Wednesday, discussions over whether to include taxes were particularly contentious, Mr. Cantor said. This was unlike most meetings over the past seven weeks, in which "Slow Joe" kept the talks focused on areas of possible agreement on spending cuts, while sidestepping the tax issue. Democrats have been hopeful that Republicans might make some concessions on taxes. In other words they were hoping the Republican would eventually cave regarding the strong opposition on the issue of taxes. In the Senate last week, 33 Republicans did vote to abolish tax subsidies for ethanol manufacturers. But Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell has been sounding an increasingly strident message of opposition to including any tax increases in any budget deal that might be agreed to. As well he should be. If he doesn't see the writing on the wall, put there by the American people, then he's freakin blind! Because the alarms are now sounding and the appropriate warnings have officially been sent. Hold the line, DO NOT chicken out! ForAmerica, a conservative activist group, has produced a video challenging House Speaker Boehner and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell not to be “chicken,” and to support the group’s “Cut, Cap, and Balance” pledge – cut the deficit, cap spending, and balance the budget. The pledge would commit signatories to oppose any increase in the congressional debt limit (currently $14.29 trillion) unless substantial cuts in spending are made to reduce the deficit next year. Also, enforceable spending caps must be enacted to put the federal government on a path to a balanced budget, and Congress must pass a constitutional balanced budget amendment that permanently limits federal spending and requires a supermajority to enact tax increases.

The ForAmerica pledge has already been signed by 11 senators, 14 House members, and 16 candidates for federal office, including GOP presidential candidates Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) and former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty. The video, which the group says will be sent to 1.5 million people via e-mail, begins by noting that “chickens tend to flock together, often following each other without a real sense of direction.” The video then sharply criticizes the House and Senate GOP leadership saying, “Many chickens tend to find their homes in Washington, D.C. But Americans don’t want to be led by chickens. Speaker Boehner, Leader McConnell, all congressional Republicans, conservatives in this country didn’t elect you to chicken out on the debt ceiling.” “This is a fight we can’t give up,” says the video narrator. The video came on the heels of House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, Boehner’s representative in negotiations to raise the debt ceiling, walking out of debt-limit/budget talks on Thursday after Democrats insisted on tax increases as part of any deal. “Regardless of the progress that has been made, the tax issue must be resolved before discussions can continue,” Cantor said in a statement. I could not agree with Mr. Cantor more. The Democrats are of the opinion that they can just spend, spend and then spend some more and then blackmail the rest of us into covering the cost, claiming that if we don't we're going to be faced with and fiscal Armageddon. Well, duh! Why should we foot the bill for all of the giveaways to those who comprise the Democrat Party's core constituencies. It makes no sense. I refuse to allow scumbag Democrats to hold hostage my daughter's future. And if the Republicans decide to go all weak kneed squishy, then they're finished as a political party. At this point their survivability rests entirely on them. And if they think we're bluffing, then shame on them!

IT’S NO WONDER WE’RE IN THE MESS WE ARE!

It’s one of those things that’s just makes you wanna go…hmmmmmmm. You see, at a time when most of our every day, average working Americans are struggling just to make ends meet because of the rapidly rising cost of food and energy and an exploding government debt that is threatening to undermine what little economic recovery, if any, there has been, literally thousands of federal employees are raking in bigger salaries than are the governors of the states where they live. You doubt me? Well don’t, because that’s according to a new report just released. It is a verifiable fact that federal public employees now make twice the salaries of their private sector counterparts with annual earnings that top $123,000. That’s at a time when the median US household income, by comparison, is roughly $52,000 annually, before taxes. Does this make any sense to anyone? That is, of course, to anyone other than one of those thousands of federal employees making these exorbitant salaries. This is so absolutely insane and is something that simply cannot be allowed to go on. Things must be brought back into some sort of balance. And soon!

This report comes from the non-partisan Congressional Research Service (CRS) and shows that more than 77,000 federal workers, in jobs ranging from medicine and air traffic control to public relations, computer programming, and even interior decorating, earned more in 2009 than did their state's chief executive. “Across America, governors are being asked to do more with less, often at lower pay than federal employees in their states. The pay gap between governors and federal employees should prompt Congress to take a closer look at federal salaries,” said Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., who was the one who requested the CRS report. “With our debt and deficits spiraling out of control, now is the time to ask agencies — not just governors — to do more with less.” Ah, commonsense, something that is so rare these days when it comes to the running of the federal government. I’m afraid that when it comes to the possessing of any level of commonsense, Sen. Coburn, and many of his fellow Republicans, remain in the minority. Unfortunately, with the passing of each day it seems that a growing number of crazies are able to gain more control over the operation of the asylum. Many of which who reside on the opposite end of the political spectrum than does our Sen. Coburn.

Coburn said he asked for the comparison to governors’ salaries, because he felt state chief executive pay is indicative of top-tier salaries, both public and private, in each state. Coburn has been adamant that the government needs to pay federal workers less while the nation attempts to solve its out of control deficit problem. The research analyzed the salaries of more than 2.1 million federal employees. The CRS report did not list specific federal salaries nor did it connect states with specific public-sector job titles. The CRS report shows Colorado atop its list with 10,875 federal workers earning more than Gov. Bill Ritter's salary of $90,000. Maryland was second with 7,283 civil servants topping Gov. Martin O’Malley's $150,000 annual haul. At the opposite end of the spectrum, Vermont had just 100 federal employees beating out former Gov. Jim Douglas, who pocketed $142,548 that year. We are talking about some very large sums of money here that people are being paid for doing what, exactly.

Of the 77,057 highly paid federal workers singled out in this report, 18,351 were doctors. Air traffic controllers accounted for the second-highest amount, or 5,170 of the total. Those two professions accounted for 31 percent of government workers who are presently outgrossing their governors. But it’s not all doctors and air-safety personnel. According to a Washington Times analysis, nationwide there were 122 park rangers, 271 environmental protection specialists, 14 chaplains and one prison guard who earned more than their governors. A prison guard? Give me a break! There were also 21 archaeologists, three sociologists, 48 social workers, four food service workers and five civil rights analysts who earned more than their governors. Is this nutty of what? “Federal employees deserve to be paid adequately, and no one would argue against paying skilled engineers or top-notch doctors and nurses to care for wounded soldiers and veterans,” Coburn spokeswoman Becky Bernhardt told reporters. “It seems to defy explanation, however, why recreation planners, an interior designer, and many other public servants are receiving higher salaries than state governors when our nation is $14 trillion in debt and many taxpayers are struggling to pay their mortgage and make ends meet.” How can you not agree with that assessment?

The report comes at a time when the Barry “Almighty” administration is bucking federal budget concerns and overseeing what can only be described as being a historic increase in the number of federal employees. The federal workforce has added nearly 200,000 jobs since Barry assumed office in 2009 and topped over 2 million last year for the first time since “BJ” Clinton declared “the era of big government is over” and began paring back the government rolls in the 1990s. And the CRS report also comes at a time of growing disparity between public and private sector workers in this era of recession. The gap between the lucrative pay scales of federal employees and the not so lucrative pay of our average private worker has widened considerably over the last decade to the point that public workers now routinely make more than twice the salary earned in the private sector, according to the Cato Institute. In 2009, federal employees earned an annual salary of $123,049 compared to just $61,051 in the private sector. In 2000, fed workers made $76,187 annually compared to $46,782 for the average private worker. A recent Newsweek survey found that seven of the 10 richest counties in America, including the top three, are in the Washington area with its large number of federal government workers. According to the Washington Post, only three counties in the United States had a household income of more than $100,000 in 2010; all three are Washington suburbs. Now there’s a shocker!

Work-a-day Americans, however, do now “appear” to have had enough. At least according to a recent U.S. News and World Report poll, that showed that more than 31 percent of respondents demanded a cut to generous federal worker pay and benefits. Republicans last month proposed requiring federal workers to contribute more toward their extremely generous retirement plan. The GOP proposal would save more than $120 billion over the next decade and effectively deliver a 5 percent pay cut to government employees. The Barry “Almighty” administration has since endorsed the idea, calling the federal system “out of line” with the private sector. Out of line? That’s putting it mildly. Other solutions are in the works as well. Rep. Tom Marino, R-Pa., in May introduced legislation that would prohibit agencies from hiring new employees until the federal deficit eases. Meanwhile Rep. Cynthia Lummis, R-Wyo., reintroduced the Federal Workforce Reduction Act, which would reduce the federal workforce by attrition. Excellent suggestions all, we just to make them a reality.

It should go without saying, of course, that officials from the National Treasury Employees Union, the union which represents over 150,000 federal employees, were quick to criticize Coburn's conclusions drawn from the new CRS report. “The largest percentage of federal employees cited in this CRS report is made up of professionals such as doctors, attorneys and scientists. Their compensation pales by comparison to those in similar positions in the private sector,” union President Colleen M. Kelley told the Houston Chronicle. “Virtually all of them could earn substantially more by leaving government service. That they do not is to the enormous benefit of the public and the country.” Ms. Kelley’s drivel is nothing more than standard operating procedures for unions and nothing else. It’s their standard method of choice used in their repeated attempts to justify the outlandish pay and benefits enjoyed by unionized public employees at the expense of those private sector employees who are expected to shell out more and more of their hard earned money in the form of escalating taxes in order to cover the costs of federal pay and benefits. Workers, who at the same time, I might add, are very busy trying to cover the cost of their own health insurance and retirement plans.

Barry just loves to spend all kinds of time talking about “fairness” and a system that is more equitable. But you have to wonder, just how fair is this cockamamie set up? A set up where you have one segment of our population busting their butts to bring home and average of $52,000 a year, minus taxes of course, footing the bill for federal employees who make twice as much and have their benefits paid for. And yet, Barry seems to have no problem whatsoever with this arrangement as it presently exists. In fact I think it safe to say that he’s busy trying to make it even worse! And the rationale for doing so should be very obvious. That rationale being, of course, because it benefits him and his Democrat Party buddies. After all, who else are all of these federal employees going to vote for? They certainly aren’t going to vote for those who want to cut their pay and benefits. Right? So in the end it’s your average Joe who is providing Barry with the necessary funds that then allows him to buy the votes of all of these very generously paid federal employees. “Hope and Change,” don’t ya just love it?

DOES BARRY JUST NOT GET IT…WE’RE BROKE

Or, is it so much worse than that? Does he actually get it but simply chooses to ignore the fact that we are now flat broke? I have a very hard time trying to fathom that at a time when America's global credit is now nearly fully in the crapper, our president, Barack Hussein Obama, can still insist, as he did on Tuesday, on ignoring the harsh realities of what he must know needs to be done. He said that he remains confident that Washington has the political will to slash the massive U.S. debt, despite fierce, fundamental differences with the Republicans about how best to go about doing just that. Barry tried to sound so hopeful of compromise with GOP lawmakers, but he once again he just couldn’t resist and returned to what was nothing more than campaign-style rhetoric during his recent town hall event. And event that focused primarily on accusing the Republicans of offering nothing more than a bleak future for the poor, young and elderly with their budget proposals. Man, it nearly brought a tear to my one good eye. All of those poor unfortunate souls who are at the mercy of those evil, greedy and old white Republicans. But who was it that created those poor souls in the first place, making sure that they essentially became nothing more than wards of the state? Huh, that would be the DEMOCRATS!

Anyway, Barry seemed to be doing some pretty fancy tap dancing as he tried to assure financial markets and the watching world that, yes, the U.S. will get its act together to address its suffocating debt, while at the same time trying to convince the voters that only his plan would share the necessary pain fairly. Yes, above all else we must be fair and equitable in all that we do when seeking ways to remedy our pending insolvency. Which we all know is a crock! Republicans on the other hand didn't sound all that optimistic about reaching a compromise. But then we've heard all that before on the many other occasions and in the end they choose only to cave rather than face even the slightest amount of political pressure. House Speaker John Boehner announced Tuesday that he had picked House Majority Leader Eric Cantor to work with a White House commission on cutting spending. But in doing so, Boehner said, "The American people understand we can't keep spending money we don't have. The only ones who don't are the Democrats running Washington." That's a point that the Republicans are going to need to pound home every chance they get. Because like Barry, many Americans, especially those firmly affixed to the government teat, just don't get it even yet!

Trying to sound a bit more upbeat, our old buddy Barry said, "Here's the good news: I believe that Democrats and Republicans can come together to get this done." Speaking before what was a friendly crowd at Northern Virginia Community College outside Washington, he said, "There will be those who say that we're too divided, that partisanship is too stark. But I'm optimistic." He's also full of sh!t! With all his rosy talk of "compromise" what he neglected to mention, either on purpose or otherwise, was the new context which must now be applied to not only his comments, but to the entire budget process. That being a new warning that the federal government "must" rein in its out of control debt or risk losing its sterling credit rating, which could in turn further erode whatever economic recovery that may be presently underway. Remember now, it was on Monday that Standard and Poor's, a key credit rating agency, lowered its outlook for the government's fiscal health to "negative" amid sliding confidence in Washington's ability to deal with its debt. Gee, I can't imagine what might give them that idea. Do you?

Though the "bipartisan" debt negotiations, to be led by Vice President "Slow Joe" Biden, are set to begin on May 5, Republicans in the House and Senate are insisting they will not vote to raise the nation's fast-approaching borrowing limit unless Barry agrees to some substantial spending cuts now. Both Barry and the House Republicans have offered plans to trim trillions from yearly deficits over the next decade or so, but the plans are on opposite ends of the reality spectrum. And since we are all very well aware of how Barry and the Democrats define "bipartisan," what lies ahead could prove to be very interesting to say the least. However, fueled in part by an angry populace, Barry and the GOP do agree that cutting the nation's debt is essential for growth, stability and the well-being of the next generation, but deep differences do exist regarding the best way to go about dealing with the problem. Said Barry on Tuesday: "If we keep on spending more than we take in, it's going to cause serious damage to our economy." Duh? Where does he come with this stuff? Does he really think that we're so stupid that we won't see just who is it that has been behind all of the insane spending?

The annual government deficit for just this year alone is projected to be over $1.6 and will only get much worse as the baby boom generation retires and Medicare costs escalate even further. So what's left is the enormous chasm regarding how best to deal with what will be a rapidly worsening imbalance between money coming in and money going out. Barry continues on his little traveling propaganda spewing road show across the country this week doing his best to push his "road to ruin" plan for reducing defense spending and health care costs, increasing taxes on the wealthy and protecting priorities he deems as being untouchable. His pitch overlaps with the burgeoning 2012 presidential campaign, which could well be defined by this debate over just what the role of government needs to be. The House Republican blueprint would overhaul Medicare and Medicaid, cut the top income tax rate but eliminate some tax breaks and shrink most discretionary spending to where it was before Barry "Almighty" took office in 2009. Which is not quite how our buddy Barry feels about things and making his feelings perfectly clear in the recent town hall, as he took very specific aim at that very notion.

On the transportation front, for example, our "Community Agitator-in-Chief" said, "Well, so what, we cut transportation by a third, and what's going to happen to America? We're just going to have potholes everywhere? We're just going to have bridges collapsing everywhere?" Just what the Hell does he think, that we can simply go on spending with reckless abandon and not worry about any of the consequences? What a warped mentality! Am I the only one who sees this pathetic nonsense for what it is? This isn't even a rational argument to begin with. It's nothing more than a wink-wink, nod-nod to all of his unions buddies. And you've got a crowd of imbecilic college twerps lapping it all up. And so it went, with his making overly simplistic comments which are sure to be repeated ad nauseam during any number of town halls yet to come where other crowds of morons have gathered together to hear their Messiah speak, whether it's this week or during any number of months out into the future. Barry accused and will continue to accuse, those mean old Republicans of wanting to simply cut taxes for all of those evil "rich" folks all at the expense of early education for our kids or health care for seniors, poor kids and the disabled. "That's not who we are as a country," he said. "We're better than that." We're also broke! A point he didn't bother to mention.

Working to create a campaign atmosphere, he made his appeal to the student-dominated crowd asking that they help him, not overtly with his re-election, but instead by backing him in what he sees as the coming fight. That's right, always turn to the stupid and uninformed when you see that you're in trouble. This guy is a real sack of sleaze. "There's a way to solve this deficit problem in an intelligent way that is fair and shares sacrifices so that we can share opportunity all across America," Barry said. "But I can't do that if your voices are not heard. There are powerful voices in Washington; there are powerful lobbies and special interests in Washington. And they're going to want to reduce the deficit on your backs." Yup, Barry's way is the only intelligent way, what a freaking crock. And by the way, if it's anybody who should know about the powerful lobbies and special interests in Washington, that would our "Fearless Leader," Barack Hussein Obama. The campaign has barely gotten underway and already he's reverting to his standard method of requesting that his mind-numbed supporters go out and get in the faces of those who dare to disagree. What a guy! What a jerk! What an asshole!

BARRY'S POLITICAL DEMISE? WE SHOULD BE SO LUCKY!

There is now a darkening economic cloud that has, for at least the time being, sent Barry "Almighty’s" job performance ratings plummeting to just 47 percent, or just 1 point higher than his lowest ever mark, at least according to a recent Washington Post-ABC News poll. But is it not fair to say that these plummeting poll numbers can be seen as being pretty much self-inflicted? Might they be seen as a direct result from this whole ongoing fiasco consisting of nothing but bogus attempts to "stimulate" our economy through what is nothing more than one costly government boondoggle after another? Who in their right mind can look at the way Barry has gone about instituting his plans to bring about an economic "recovery" and still view him as being even remotely capable of "handling" the economy. All you have to do is to listen to the man. He has one and one solution only for fixing our economic woes, raise taxes. What a plan. This guy is an economic genius.

Barry's economic approval ratings continue to tank, they are now at the lowest level since September, when he stood at 41 percent approval and 57 percent overall disapproval. And this should come as a shock to anybody why exactly? This whole charade of attempting to bring about an economic recovery has instead been a very purposeful attempt to do just the opposite. Can anyone point to any rational, self-respecting economist who is willing to go on the record and can say with a straight face, that all that has been done by Barry as been done are perfect ways to strengthen our economy? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that the motives behind Barry and his team are designed to one thing and one thing only. And this is to bring about a total and complete financial and economic collapse in this country. Nothing else explains the actions being taken, or not taken, by this supposed team of economic whiz kids. What these people are in reality is nothing short of a cadre of economic saboteurs. They attempt to use all manner of scare tactics in their effort to never let a good crisis go to waste.

And just in case the White House didn’t receive the message that a majority of Americans are now sending, Wall Street attempted drove the point home on Monday when benchmark rater Standard & Poor’s cut its long-term outlook on U.S. debt to a dismal negative rating, signaling a financial crisis if the Obama administration does not bring down the national debt. But the White House remained in denial, assuming that it knew much better than the experts at S & P. A recent poll shows that Americans agree with the S & P verdict. In a tie with his overall worst economic approval rating, 57 percent said they disapprove of how Barry is handling the economy, with 46 percent saying they strongly disapprove. Only 23 percent strongly approved. What do you wanna bet that just about everyone of those folks resides in the black community. These folks will stick by Barry no matter what, especially as long as he continues to stick it to the rest of us! That's what these people are all about. Never mind that the country is going to Hell in a hand basket with Barry leading the charge, as long they keep getting their checks it's ok by them!

On the heels of the recent gloomy economic news, GOP leaders have again clearly stated the urgency for making the drastic cuts in federal spending that are so badly needed and saying that raising the debt ceiling should be contingent upon the level of success met in making those cuts. Republican Rep. Eric Cantor, majority leader of the House, said Republicans would not sign off on any debt-limit increase without serious reforms, according to The Hill. “For decades, Washington has blindly increased the debt-ceiling limit while doing little to stop spending money that it doesn’t have, a dangerous pattern that must end,” Cantor said. “As S&P made clear, getting spending and our deficit under control can no longer be put off for another day.” However, the question that remains is will the Republicans stick to their guns or simply fold under the weight of criticism that is most assuredly headed their way. This is not the time for idiotic political games, there is simply too much at stake here. They need to communicate what it is that they see as being needed, and then do it. There can be no wishy-washy nonsense in their portrayal of just how bad things are and how they can be fixed. We need concrete solutions and we need them fast. Compromise on the part of the Republicans is not a tactic to be accepted as being useful.

In a recent statement, Rep. Paul Ryan, whose own plan promises to slash $6 trillion over a 10-year period, said that Barry’s current spending spree “threatens not only the lives of future generations, but also the economic security of American families today.” For his part, Barry’s plan calls for nothing more than the raising of income taxes and the repeal of the same “Bush tax cuts” he originally agreed to continue on December 7. There is no focus on the actual cutting of a serious amount of spending. Boy, now there's a plan that guarantees success. Is it any wonder that Barry’s poll numbers could quite possibly doom his 2012 prospects? Although to make such an assumption this early in the political season, I think would be more than a little premature. Even though a Newsmax poll placed Donald Trump far ahead in a matchup with Obama — 68 percent would vote for Trump, 13 percent for Obama, and 13 percent for another candidate. Now while I refuse to put much stock in any poll that has Trump trouncing Barry, it does provide food for thought. Look, out of all the people who will end up being considered as serious candidates, the guy that I give the least chance to be there at the end is Trump. While I agree with a lot of what he says, things that actually needs to be said, at the end of the day he is not going to be viewed as being a serious, nor a viable, candidate.

The independent vote, which Barry relied on very heavily in his 2008 bid, remains dubious for 2012 after showing overwhelmingly in Republicans’ court last year. The Washington Post-ABC poll pits independents squarely against Barry — 55 percent disapproved of the job he is doing. But all that can change very rapidly if these voters come to the conclusion that the Republicans are not serious about getting spending under control. If the feel that they are instead choosing to do nothing more than to use our current economic misfortune to their political advantage, then the tide can very quickly turn to favor Barry. Republicans need to be seen as the ones, unlike Barry, who are putting the country above gutter politics. They need to be seen as the “Elliot Ness” trying to combat what is essentially nothing more than the “Al Capone” gangster-style government of Barry and the Democrats. They need to be seen as being the sane ones who are attempting to rein in all of the fiscal insanity. They cannot allow themselves to be dissuaded from doing what they know needs to be done and they need to convince the American people that they are committed to getting our fiscal house in order.

ONCE MORE THE CHICAGO THUG COMES SCREAMING TO THE SURFACE...

In the words of syndicated columnist, Dr. Charles Krauthammer, in his describing of Barry "Almighty's" speech on Wednesday, "I rarely heard a speech by a president so shallow, so hyper-partisan and so intellectually dishonest, outside the last couple of weeks of a presidential election where you are allowed to call your opponent anything short of a traitor. But we're a year and a half away from Election Day and it was supposed to be a speech about policy." And you know, I couldn't have said it better myself. I probably could not have said it as well. But it is a very valid criticism.

So in the name of promoting the "new" civility and in supporting the call for a more toned down political discourse, we witnessed on Wednesday our president once more acting like nothing more than some common punk than as a president as he proceeded to come out swinging in his snoozer, at least for "Slow Joe", of speech on Wednesday. I feel like Rip Van Winkle in that after hearing this "campaign" speech, I find myself wondering if someone somehow managed to move the 2012 election up to June 1? This speech was extraordinary and well over the top, and a rather pathetic response to Paul Ryan's budget. It was nothing more than an example of pure demonization characterized by blistering partisanship and of course the usual and never-ending distortions. It was the kind of speech that presidents usually outsource to some hapless underling so as to provide to the president a certain amount of plausible deniability. But such was not the case this time around, instead Barry chose to essentially call Rep. Ryan "outside." Barry's fundamentally flawed political tirade would have been unusual even for a Vice President to give during the fervor of a heated campaign. The bullying tactics that have worked for him in the past are once again what he has chosen to fall back on. Such behavior could be a risky proposition, since a growing number of people are finally beginning to now wake up and recognize the seriousness of our growing debt problem.

Supposedly, the immediate goal of this outrageous political rant that we were exposed to, was, I guess, an attempt to inoculate the White House from criticism that it is simply not taking seriously enough our current fiscal crisis, especially after blatantly ignoring its own deficit commission last year and then tossing off a $3.73 trillion budget in February that increased spending amid a record deficit of $1.65 trillion. Barry was quite literally chased to George Washington University on Wednesday because Mr. Ryan and the Republicans outflanked him on fiscal discipline and are now setting the national political agenda. And so, acting in typical reactionary as well as retaliatory fashion, Barry did not bother to actually propose an alternative that would rival Mr. Ryan's plan, instead he spent nearly his entire speech doing noting more than to categorically reject all of its reform ideas, repeatedly vilifying them as being, essentially, nothing short of un-American. "Their vision is less about reducing the deficit than it is about changing the basic social compact in America," he said, supposedly pitting "children with autism or Down's syndrome" against "every millionaire and billionaire in our society." Again as usual, Barry was not attempting to join the debate Mr. Ryan has started, but rather to close it off just as it begins and banish House GOP ideas as being detrimental to America. It's all the typical class warfare nonsense that hopefully is losing some of its effectiveness with the American people.

Barry dispersed his unique brand of bile in the rhetoric of bipartisanship—which "starts," he said, "by being honest about what's causing our deficit." Ah, that would be…HIM. The speech he chose to deliver was nothing short of one that was crafted to be patently dishonest even by Democrat political standards. Barry presented what some might call the false choice between merely preserving the government and having with no realistic plan for doing so, aside from making a cockamamie proposal consisting of $4 trillion in imaginary deficit reductions over some gimmicky 12-year budget window that makes the reductions seem larger than they would be over the normal 10-year window. Barry said that the typical political proposal to rationalize Medicare's gargantuan liabilities is that it is "just a matter of eliminating waste and abuse." Barry’s own plan is to double down on the program's price controls and central planning. All Medicare decisions will be turned over to and routed through an unelected commission created by ObamaCare—which will supposedly ferret out "unnecessary spending." Is that the same as "waste and abuse"? Ya know, it just strikes me as being nothing more than typical Democrat mumbo-jumbo, all smoke and mirrors and means absolutely nothing. Every time this guy opens his mouth nothing come out but lies piled upon even more lies. He's really quite pathetic. He is continually resorting to his thug mentality and is really isn't a very pretty, or convincing, picture. He's all show and no go! No big surprise there.

This whole exercise was nothing but an attempt by Barry to rally his loony left base with a promise for major tax increases on those evil "rich" folks. You know, the producers in our economy. Apparently Barry is of the opinion that every U.S. fiscal trouble has as its source the Bush tax cuts "for the wealthiest 2%" but he very conveniently passed right over what he euphemistically called his own "series of emergency steps that saved millions of jobs." And how exactly is he able to quantify those supposed millions of "saved jobs." Anyway, I can only guess that he means the $814 billion stimulus/slush fund that was nothing short of an abysmal flop and a new multitrillion-dollar entitlement in ObamaCare that will in all likelihood kill off job creation. Under the Barry tax plan, the Bush rates would be repealed for the top brackets. But I'm curious, wasn't the "cost" of extending all the Bush rates in 2011 over 10 years about $3.7 trillion? Some $3 trillion of that was for everything but the top brackets—and Barry says he wants to extend those rates forever. Also, according to Internal Revenue Service data, the entire taxable income of everyone earning over $100,000 in 2008 was about $1.582 trillion. Even if all these Americans—most of whom are far from wealthy—were taxed at 100%, it still wouldn't cover Barry's deficit of $1.65 trillion for just this year. How about asking those who continually get away scot-free every April 15 to pony up a bit. No one is “entitled” a free ride. Everyone can put a little into the communal pot.

Barry sought more tax-hike cover by falling back to his deficit commission, seeming to embrace its proposal to limit tax deductions and other loopholes. But the commission wanted to do so in order to lower rates for a more efficient and competitive code with a broader base. What Barry wants to do is to pocket the tax increase and devote the revenues to deficit reduction and therefore more spending. So that's three significant tax increases that he's in favor of—higher top brackets, the tax hikes in ObamaCare and fewer tax deductions. Lastly, Barry came out for what he calls a debt "failsafe," which will require the White House and Congress to hash out a deal if by 2014 projected debt is not declining as a share of the economy. But under his plan any deal must exclude Social Security, Medicare or low-income programs. So that means more tax increases or else "making government smarter, leaner and more effective." Which, now that he mentioned it, sounds a lot like cutting "waste and abuse." Barry ludicrously claimed that Mr. Ryan favors "a fundamentally different America than the one we've known throughout most of our history." Once again Barry is talking out of his anal orifice because nothing is more likely to bring that future about than the Barry's political indifference in the midst of a worsening fiscal crisis. Calling you opponents names or simply ridiculing their proposals in the absence of proposing anything yourself is not how goes about instilling any level of confidence in the people that you know what your doing. I also causes them to possibly question your motives for ignoring possible solutions however politically distasteful they may be to you.

So in the end, what is it that we can hope to see take place? Will Barry come to his senses and commence to do what is right for the country? Or will he continue to be ruled by his determination to advance his socialist agenda at the expense of all else, even the future of our children? All questions that are still lacking any sort of a substantive answer. He is driven by his belief in an all powerful central government and will do whatever it takes and use whatever tactic he thinks will lead to his eventual success. The question that remains is whose side will the American people ultimately come down on? I guess we wait and see.
