MORE OF THE ‘GASBAG’ CHRONICLES, WITH STENY HOYER…

As I have said before, one man’s border crisis is another man’s voter drive, which is why Democrats deny that we have a crisis at our southern border.  And to say that I am extremely disappointed that the president chose to sign this disastrous budget bill that does nothing to secure our border is an understatement.  What he should have done was to break it off in the ass of the Democrats and the RINOs who crafted it.  And were it not for our gutless RINOs, this border problem would not exist today.

But, back to the topic at hand.  It was during a ‘pen and pad briefing’ on Capitol Hill this past Wednesday that Steny ‘The Gasbag’ Hoyer told reporters “there is no crisis at the border,” and they repeatedly accuse the president of trying to somehow take advantage of a manufactured crisis.  Meanwhile, Democrats claim there is a true crisis because of ‘climate change,’ which, if we’re being honest, is the perfect example of what a ‘manufactured crisis’ looks like.  But that is a topic for another day.

At this same little get together Hoyer was discussing a weekend trip to the U.S.- Mexico border that he took along with four other House Democrats.  And according to Hoyer, following conversations with local residents and border personnel, he and the other representatives concluded “there is no crisis at the border.”  Hoyer emphasized they “encountered nobody in the community that was fearful” and that among the border agents they spoke with “nobody considered there to be a crisis at the border.”

Although Hoyer acknowledged that there were challenges at the border, he cited Director of National Intelligence Daniel Coats, whose list of crisis points threatening the United States “did not mention the Southwest border.”  Hoyer advocated for greater investment in technology, personnel, and infrastructure as a path to stronger border security. He also called for “substantial sums to assist the triangle countries – Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador.”  Yup, let’s just throw more money at it!

He said, “Clearly, the way you really stop refugee problems is to make sure people are safe in their homes.”  Now what the Hell is that supposed to mean?  So by giving these countries more money people can be made to feel safe in their homes and won’t want to come here?  Does he really think we’re that stupid?  What we ought to do is turn the money spigot off completely, and dictate to these same countries that they either behave responsibly or there will be no hope of getting any money.

Later, in a response to a ‘reporter’s’ question about President Trump declaring a national emergency to acquire greater border wall funding, Hoyer argued that the situation lacked the gravity necessary to legally justify such a move.  Hoyer said, “There may be a challenge, there may be people coming across we don’t know about, but it’s not a horde, it’s not an attack, it’s not an invasion.”   I disagree, it IS a horde, it IS an attack and it IS an all-out invasion that must be stopped and stopped NOW!

It goes without saying that Hoyer’s assessment of our border situation differs rather significantly from that of President Trump and his supporters.  And there’s a reason for that, it’s all part of the Democrat plan.  During his State of the Union address, President Trump described the situation on America’s southern border as an “urgent national crisis.”  He warned that “the lawless state of our southern border is a threat to the safety, security, and financial wellbeing of all America.”  And he was right!

Now of course, if, like Hoyer, you visit a section of the border that’s been secured it would appear as if there is no border problem.  But then, he’s not going to go to where the real problems are.  Nor will he go and talk with the people who live where there is no wall to see what some of these residents living along the border have to put up with.  In other words, he won’t do his job!  But that’s never going to happen, Democrats know what it’s like and they know the president is telling the truth.

Ex-president Barry ‘O’ called the border situation a crisis even back in 2014, yet we had no one describing it then as being a “manufactured crisis.” It really is insulting to the many who have been impacted by inaction and, now, indifference.  Hoyer is a liar who is far more interested in the politics of the issue than he is in ensuring proper measures are taken to keep Americans safe.  May Hoyer go straight to Hell, not pass go and collect nothing but scorn and disdain as he travels straight to Hell!

Look, this is nothing more than a lame attempt to stymie the president now that he has decided to call a state of emergency.  Thousands cross our southern border every single day.  If that’s not the definition of an invasion then I don’t know what is.  And for Democrats to not see it as such makes very clear, or should, their reckless disregard for the safety of the American people.  Democrats have no problem with sacrificing the lives of Americans in their quest for power, however many it may take.

That President Trump was left with no other option than that of declaring a national emergency makes very clear that many of those whom we continue to elect to Congress, regardless of party, remain uninterested in securing our borders.  And if we the people do not become more assertive in what has now become a very adversarial relationship, with those political hacks on one side and the president and the American people together on the other, our nation’s survival is very much in doubt.
