ANOTHER CHAPTER OF ‘THE GASBAG CHRONICLES WITH STENY HOYER’…

It’s been some time since our last chapter of ‘The Gasbag Chronicles,’ a little series of ours that follows the endless trail of political BS spewed by one, Steny Hoyer, the most recent example of which was heard just this past Friday. Hoyer is another of those who long ago surpassed their ‘sell by’ date, and is another example of why we so desperately need term limits for members of Congress. The 83 year old has spent the last 56 years living off the taxpayers, with 49 of those years spent in the U.S. House. The man rarely makes sense and yet has managed to be able to remain in off all these many years because of the stupidity of those within his Maryland district.

And it was in true form as the ‘gasbag’ that he is, that during an appearance this past Friday on CNN’s “At This Hour,” Hoyer attempted to make the argument that inflation is a worldwide phenomenon caused by the Chinese virus plandemic and the war in Ukraine. Hoyer said, “Gas prices have come down approximately 20 percent over the last 40 days. That’s good news. Let’s hope it continues because inflation is a real problem. There’s no doubt about that.” And then went on to say, “We ought to focus on the fact that this is a worldwide phenomenon caused by the pandemic and caused by the war in Ukraine that Putin started and is pursuing.” Putin? Seriously, Steny?

Hoyer said, “So that the United States is about in the middle in terms of how much inflation we have of the developed countries in the world. So it’s a worldwide phenomenon.” He added, “Do we need to get a handle on it, are people having trouble at the grocery store and the gas pump? They are. We passed a bill on gouging that our Republican friends did not support. We passed a bill on infrastructure. We passed a bill on fuel and food to try to bring food prices and fuel prices down and protect supply chains. So we’ve taken a lot of actions to try to address this. It’s a real problem.” This clown has been part of nothing that has helped the American people.

He continued by saying, “The federal reserve, of course, again, acted yesterday, and what the trick is to bring prices down without creating a recession. Of course, there’s definition of recession goes back and forth. But we have 3.6% unemployment. That’s a very low unemployment. It was 10.8% unemployment in the second year of the Reagan administration, and we have 8.7 million new jobs over the last 15 months.” Hoyer is nothing more than another of those corrupt career politicians who should have left politics a quarter century ago. And riddle me this, how can none of this be Joey’s fault when it was as soon as ‘assumed’ office all proceeded to come undone?

Agreed, it is a worldwide problem, and is caused by the usual suspects, Leftists and Socialists. And it’s here at home that the perfect example of that is the fact that more than half of Joey’s cabinet, and 90 percent of those in his administration have zero first-hand business experience. These clowns have no interest in taking those measures needed to create a strong and vibrant economy. Joey and his merry band of misfits killed the economy and started the ball rolling on their first day in office. You can’t sign illegitimate Executive Orders killing the energy industry and open the border and expect anything less. We see through all the lies and misinformation.

Putin had nothing to do with it, you gasbag. It all started when the Democrats shut down the government due to the ‘Chinese virus,’ and then ‘Joey’ chose to shut down the energy pipeline, throw open the border, insisted on spending trillions so people didn’t have to go back to work, and now because of his crap policies the inflation rate has risen to over 9 percent and is stifling not only home prices, but tanking the market as well. This is all on the Democrats and Joey. The Democrat Party has successfully destroyed the most powerful American economy in the last 50 years and it only took them 18 months. Democrats destroy, it’s all that they know how to do.

Joey’s insane shut-down of America’s energy supply is the cause of the WORLDWIDE recession and inflation. All that it is now going on is 100 percent Joey’s fault. He declared war on the oil and gas industry that has the U.S. energy independent, and a net exporter for the first time in decades. When oil production went down in America, the world’s supply was affected, oil was the first domino. Oil price goes up, the supply chain gets disrupted, everything shipped by 18-wheeler or airplane or ship goes up due to increased fuel costs, products don’t get to shelves and everything goes up in price. Damn right Joey’s responsible. He was so damn quick to undo everything Trump he didn’t stop to think Trump was right, especially about the economy,

Democrats are serial destroyers. Joey’s attack on energy and his two billion dollar wasteful spending bill at the beginning of his reign kick-started this recession. Also, the Fed kept interest rates too low and provided too much liquidity into the market. Now this new reckless spending and tax bill will only serve to make matters worse. These idiots in Washington continually ignore the fact that corporations do not pay taxes, they collect taxes and pass them on to the government. A 15 percent minimum tax will be visited upon the economy by raising prices further, or a reduction in employment or investment. This is going to get nasty if this passes, which it will.

Hoyer cannot speak without lying. The majority of these ‘new’ jobs are simply people going back to work to their old jobs, or simply switching employers. Gas here is down approximately 10 percent over the last two weeks. The definition of recession does not go back and forth; it has meant the same thing for decades. All this dud wants to do is to spend, spend, spend, like all Democrats. Otherwise known as tax and spend. Democrats always want to be charge but they’re NEVER willing to take responsibility for what their cockamamie policies bring about, whether we’re talking about the economy, heath care, guns or just about anything they claim to want to ‘fix.’

STENY HOYER’S RATHER ‘FLUID’ POSITION ON IMPEACHMENT…

Remember back during the 2016 presidential campaign when there was a flood of accusations directed at Donald Trump with the question being raised, repeatedly, about he would do if he were to lose the election?  So just for the sake of argument let’s suppose that he had lost, would Mr. Trump have had the ability, or the power, to do to Hitlery, what the Democrats have done to him for the last two years, and are apparently determined to do for the next two years?  The answer to that is a very resounding no, he would not have.  It’s the Democrat who again were the sore losers.

Which brings me to that proverbial gas-bag Steny Hoyer, who was apparently for impeachment, before he was against it, before again being in favor of it.  You see, it was on Thursday evening that Hoyer chose to backtrack on his previous position that impeaching President Trump after the release of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report would not be “worthwhile at this point”.  And what was it that then caused his change of heart?  Well apparently it had something to do with his left-wing primary challenger calling him out as a coward and saying she was “in favor” of impeachment.

And it was earlier in the very same day during an appearance there at ‘fake news’ headquarters, aka the Communist News Network, aka CNN, that Hoyer had said, “the American people will make a better judgment” about whether to remove Trump than Congress in the 2020 election.  He said, “Based on what we have seen to date, going forward on impeachment is not worthwhile at this point. Very frankly, there is an election in 18 months and the American people will make a judgment.”  But when faced with the possibly of losing re-election, however remote, he changed his tune.

In what may be a sign of things to come for other Democrats is that after left-wing loons everywhere almost immediately started calling for Hoyer to be primaried, he then said that “all options ought to remain on the table.”  It was later in the evening that Hoyer took to Twitter and ‘tweeted’, “Congress must have the full report & all underlying evidence in order to determine what actions may be necessary to ensure that the Congress & the American people have all the info they need to know the truth & all options ought to remain on the table to achieve that objective.”

So Hoyer gets attacked by his even-kookier-than-he-is primary challenger, Mckayla Wilkes, who proudly admitted she’s “in favor” of impeaching Trump, and then he doesn’t defend what he said, he simply caves to this nut.  It was via Twitter that Wilkes said, “Hoyer continues to show that he lacks the courage to stand up to the status quo. It’s times like this that we ask, “who’s side is he on?” @LeaderHoyer, if you stand for nothing, what’ll you fall for?”  And a short time later other left-wing kooks started crawling out of the woodwork to hype her primary challenge of Hoyer.

And it was that bit of insanity that was then followed by yet another bit of brilliance when this very same genius tweeted out, “@LeaderHoyer reminded us that an election is to come in 18 months implying that WE are responsible for stopping Trump. Time should not be the factor. Does honor, ethics and the rule of law mean nothing? Our republic is in grave danger under Trumps [sic] corrupt leadership! #Period.”  So this would now be what the Democrat Party of 2019 has become, the party of HATE doing their utmost to bring about the demise of our country.  That is their mission.

So I’m guessing that we can all assume that Wilkes enthusiastically supports illegally spying on a political opponent during a campaign and then the continued spying on that same said opponent even after they’ve won an election.  She feverishly supports creating an investigation based on lies to destroy anyone associated with the political opponent.  All of this is OK as long as the individual authorizing the spying happens to be a Democrat and the opponent a Republican, because to Democrats “It's OK when we do it.”  And is ALWAYS the case, Democrats view the laws as not applying to them.

And the Democrats seem just crazy enough to impeach Trump. After all, it’s not about the country, it really never has been.  And frankly I don’t even think it’s about their party.  It’s about getting even, yes it’s just that basic.  Despite the fact that Democrats ran as their candidate, in 2016, she who was the absolute worst possible choice they could have made, this outsider, this political novice, made her and therefore her party suffer what they consider to be nothing less than a humiliating defeat, a defeat that was simply not supposed to happen.  So a price must be paid.

And with regard to the Mueller report, it’s a report that should anger all Americans no matter what their politics.  Because by all accounts this would appear to have been an ‘investigation’ completed by ‘The Keystone Kops’.   Mueller fails to draw any major conclusions in multiple areas, and, to be honest, comes across as looking more than a little foolish, if not incompetent.  MAYBE something happened?  MAYBE?!  For the amount of money spent, either something took place or it didn't.  Evidence in these cases is either conclusive or inconclusive, not ‘something in between.’

Mueller couldn't indict Trump despite 675 days of investigation, 19 lawyers employed, 40 FBI agents assigned to the investigation, 2,800 subpoenas issued, 500 search warrants executed, 230 orders for communication records, 50 authorized orders for the use of pen registers, 13 evidence requests to foreign governments, a million documents disclosed by the Trump administration, 500 witnesses interviewed and about $30 million spent by the special counsel's office.  However, Democrats now believe they will be able to do what Mueller couldn't do with all his resources!

Finally, love him or hate him I would like to think that anyone who calls themselves an American is able to see what’s really going on here regarding all of this nonsense about impeaching President Trump.  But since this is far from the country it once was, with a population that seems to lose a bit more of its collective commonsense with each passing year, I’m not holding out much hope.  The Democrats, seem more determined than ever to destroy our country and the spineless wimps that we are forced to depend upon to stop them don’t seem interested in doing so.  That and too many people simply don’t seem to care.  These are very dark, and scary, times.

MORE OF ‘THE GASBAG CHRONICLES’, STARRING STENY HOYER…

While it has been some time now since our last episode of ‘The Gasbag Chronicles, starring Steny Hoyer,’ I knew it be only a matter of time before this raging leftwing kook would again let fly with idiotic drivel worthy of another episode.  And by golly he didn’t let us down.  You see it was just this past Friday that he took to a couple of ‘fake news’ outlets to spew what has become nothing more than leftwing talking points that we have continued to hear with increasing frequency as our Democrat sponsored shutdown is made to continue.  What we are seeing on the part of the Democrats is nothing less than a petty, childish and narcissistic power grab.

It was during an appearance on CNBC’s “Squawk Box,” that Steny said shutting down the government was an “immoral, stupid policy.”  He said, “Our position is we have to stop using the shutdown of the people’s government as a strategy to obtain our objectives.”  Steny went on to say, “The problem with using government as a lever, as a tool and taking hostages—not only the 800,000 federal employees but taking all the millions and millions of people who are served by government every day hostage is—that is very, very debilitating to our country — essentially taking our country hostage.”  A strange thing to hearing from one of the Democrat hostage takers!

Steny also said, “So what we’re saying is, Mr. President, we need to negotiate. It could be hard; you can veto some of our bills, but don’t shut down government in the process. So this is a bigger issue than just the wall or education or the Affordable Care Act, it’s an issue of whether or not we’re going to use as a continuing policy shutting down the government of the United States and undermining the confidence of our employees, the confidence of people who deal with the government, and the confidence of the international community looking to see whether the United States of America can act in a rational, responsible way.”  A Democrat talking about being responsible?

When asked why Democrats are not negotiating with the president, Hoyer said, “What happens next time when the president says, ‘do as I say, and if you don’t I’ll shut down the government.’ or the next time after that, or the next time after that? This is a policy that is an immoral, stupid policy, shutting down the government of the United States to achieve an objective.”  And yet I don’t seem to recall ever hearing Steny sounding the alarm when Barry ‘O’ was saying ‘do as I say because I won’, and his saying ‘elections have consequences.’  Oh shame on me, why would Steny have said anything then, Barry was a Democrat so it was no harm, no foul.

And it was while there at ‘fake news’ headquarters, CNN, appearing on “New Day,” that Steny said Republicans have used government shutdowns to get their way and “That’s not democracy. That’s dictatorship.”  He said, “[T]he real problem here is, the president is using what Republicans have done before. They did it for the Affordable Care Act. They did it under Bill Clinton when he refused to cut education as much as they wanted to. They’ve used shutting down government, taking government employees hostage, and taking people who rely on government on a daily basis hostage to get their way. That’s not democracy. That’s dictatorship.”

Democrats love to talk about a manufactured crisis.  But how is it that an invasion of illegals into this country is NOT to be considered a crisis?  Ask the many families who have lost loved ones because of criminal illegals. Ask the families that have been terrorized by members of MS-13. Ask the families who have lost loved ones to drugs coming in from Mexico.  Under the Constitution the president’s most important job is the national defense of this country.  And like it or not he has the power to declare a national emergency and use the powers the Constitution provides to him.  Steny is just another member of the Democrat crime syndicate that hates America.

Isn't it funny how Congressional Democrats have such short memories, or is it perhaps simply selective memory loss? I seem to recall that ‘Dingy Harry’ Reid used to hold up the government whenever he wanted something and the Democrats went all out to support him.  But now when the shoe happens to be on the other foot, Democrats are crying like a bunch of school girls about how Republicans don't play fair.  Not having a secure border is stupid policy.  Steny, and his party, is why we have border crisis in the first place.  The mission of the Democrat Party is to for anyone who wishes to come into the country be allowed to do so.  Hence the government shutdown!

Americans tuning into the dueling addresses the other night heard two diametrically opposed messages on border security.  President Trump stands for the safety of our nation, while the Democrats, do not.  And the so-called rebuttal ‘address’ delivered by Pelosi and Schumer accomplished nothing more than to show us just how radical the Democrat Party has now become.  The Democrat Party that once cared about border security and cracking down on illegal immigration has now morphed into a party that wants to abolish ICE, believes a wall on our southern border to be “immoral,” and seeks only to placate their radical open-borders base for political reasons.

During his address, President Trump noted the humanitarian aspect of securing the border for people on both sides, referring to the conflict at the southern border as a “crisis of the heart and the crisis of the soul.”  Schumer countered that “we can secure our border without an expensive, ineffective wall,” while Pelosi added that “President Trump must stop holding the American people hostage” and “must stop manufacturing a crisis.”  Such rhetoric is a far cry from what Democrats were saying when they were confident that the Democrat in the White House would never to anything other than veto ANY legislation the purpose of which was to build a wall.

You see, it is a video from 2009 that shows Schumer actually advocating for a fence along the southern border because it will be a “far more secure” means to creating a “significant barrier to illegal immigration.”  And it was at the time he also added, “The American people will never accept immigration reform unless they truly believe that their government is committed to ending future illegal immigration.”  And Kirsten Gillibrand, on her campaign page in 2008, stated she too is “a firm opponent of any proposal that would give amnesty to illegal aliens” and believed the “federal government must provide the necessary resources to secure our borders.”

And it was two time presidential loser Hitler who bragged back in November of 2015 that, “I voted numerous times when I was a senator to spend money to build a barrier to try to prevent illegal immigrants from coming in … and I do think that you have to control your borders.”  And it was in 2013 that Liz ‘Pocahontas’ Warren  spoke at Boston City Hall regarding immigration reform, claiming the that she actually supported legislation that “upholds our existing laws” and “maintains border security.”  Even ex-president Obummer praised legislation known as the Secure Fence Act of 2006.  So what has now changed?  Why is border security now a bad idea?

Maybe someone needs to remind Steny what a dictatorship truly looks like.  He’s comparing our president to the scum now in charge of Cuba, Venezuela, China and Iran, as well as those who once ran the Soviet Union and Hitler's Nazi Germany.  He’s merely lying to deceive the less intelligent and uninformed Democrat masses who continue to vote Democrat.  It is the Democrats in Congress who are holding people hostage and preventing them from getting paid. To date, it’s Steny and his phony, lying, fellow Democrats who have NOT sent any bill for the president to sign, that would get government workers paid.  Instead he, and they LIE to their supporters.

The majority of Americans favor a border wall. President Trump was elected largely on the platform of building a border wall. By refusing to fund the construction of the wall, it’s Steny, his fellow Democrats, and a handful of RINOs who are the ones behaving like dictators. Democrats have lost the debate, and are now behaving like petulant, spoiled children.  This isn't about President Trump getting funding to build another Trump tower, this is about securing the nation's border. The only people crying over the shutdown are the same people that don't care about protecting the country's borders and its citizens, and that is Steny and his Democrat Party.

EVERYBODY’S FAVORITE GASBAG, STENY HOYER…

I know it’s been quite some time since our last episode of what has become our continuing saga, ‘The Gasbag Chronicles starring Steny Hoyer’, but then it’s been some time since I was made aware that this moron from the People’s Republic of Maryland had made any sort of a idiotic comment that was stupid enough to require a new episode to be presented.  But let’s face it, we knew it would only be a matter of time before Steny opened his mouth and something would fall out.

And what was behind this latest episode being created is how old Steny, when recently asked, just couldn’t bring himself to say whether or not he thought that a band of rabid Muslim thugs are actively engaged in the wholesale slaughter of Middle Eastern Christians.  Apparently Steny is reserving judgement until a State Department report, due out later this month, hits the streets before so he can be sure to take the party line and support the ‘correct’ position regarding the matter.

The report for which Steny appears to be so patiently waiting for, to ensure that he says nothing that may be perceived as anti-Muslim, is one that was made part of that omnibus debacle which Congress, with the help of Paul ‘RINO’ Ryan and his cadre of House RINOs, passed back in December.  It requires Secretary of State John Kerry-Heinz to declare by March 17 whether or not Muslim extremists are engaging in genocide against Middle Eastern Christians and other religious minorities.

And it was about that very topic that Hoyer being asked, “Should the Obama administration declare that the Islamic State is committing genocide against Middle Eastern Christians?”  To which this ‘Blue State’ moron responded, “Look, I think that report is gonna come out pretty soon. I will wait for that report.”  So I can’t help but wonder, if there was to be no report would this hypocritical douchebag have the gonads to acknowledge that which we all know is taking place?

Hoyer said, “But there is no doubt that the ISIL, ISIS, Daesh, whatever you want to call it, is committing heinous, murderous, criminal acts. And whether they meet the particular definition, which is now what people are looking up - genocide - I want to see the report to see what they say.”  So now before we can declare that the atrocities are occurring we have to make sure they “meet a particular definition?”  And whose definition might that be?  Democrats are so pathetic!

It was then this reject from some Maryland mental ward went on to say, “But one cannot condemn in strong enough terms the actions of the people who call themselves - and the Arabs call them Daesh, which I think is probably better than ISIL."   And he added, "ISIL is not a state. They just robbed parts of states and set themselves up."  Maybe I’m not as smart as Steny but I’m not making the connection here between whether or not they are a state and if what’s going on here is genocide.

Here is the provision in the omnibus bill requiring a response from Kerry-Heinz:
d) ATROCITIES PREVENTION.—Not later than 90 days after enactment of this Act, the Secretary of State, after consultation with the heads of other United States Government agencies represented on the Atrocities Prevention Board (APB) and representatives of human rights organizations, as appropriate, shall submit to the appropriate congressional committees an evaluation of the persecution of, including attacks against, Christians and people of other religions in the Middle East by violent Islamic extremists and the Muslim Rohingya people in Burma by violent Buddhist extremists, including whether either situation constitutes mass atrocities or genocide (as defined in section 1091 of title 18, United States Code), and a detailed description of any proposed atrocities prevention response recommended by the APB: Provided, That such evaluation and response may include a classified annex, if necessary.

Now imagine, just for a second, if we what we now had in place was a Republican administration instead of one which has essentially become the most corrupt Democrat administration in recent memory.  And then ask yourself if old Steny would feel compelled to wait for some cockamamie report from the State Department before taking a position on such an important issue.  A State Department that has, by most accounts, become little more than a complete laughingstock.

And finally, am I truly the only one here who is able to see the blatant hypocrisy being exhibited by this imbecilic Democrat stooge.  Why is it that he, and so many other members of his party, so stubbornly refuse to identify this marauding bunch of murdering religious zealots for what they are?  They are not members of what many so fondly identify as a ‘religion of peace’.  It is a cult, a cult based on hate, violence and death.  It is a cult that needs to be forever removed from the face of the Earth!

But Democrats, including their frontrunner for president, simply cannot bring themselves to do it.  Is it because they share a common goal, that being the destruction of America as we now know it.  Can it really be that simple?  And are Democrats now so committed to the destruction of America that they have no problem whatsoever with turning a blind eye to what has become a steady stream of death and destruction that this ‘religion of peace’ continues to leave in its wake?

‘THE GASBAG CHRONICLES’… STENY HOYER SUPPORTS PLANNED PARENTHOOD…

Democrats certainly are a disgusting bunch.  And nothing makes that point better than our latest chapter in “The Gasbag Chronicles starring Steny Hoyer” because Steny recently left little doubt in anyone’s mind that he is truly one sick puppy.  What prompted me to set to work putting together another chapter in this little series of mine was something that Steny said, just this past Monday, at one of his weekly pen-and-pad meetings with reporters.  What he did was to reject entirely the “premise that Planned Parenthood is harvesting fetal organs.”  Well off course he does, it’s what people like him do.  And of course when I say “people like him” I’m sure everyone will know exactly what I talking about.

It was also on Monday that we heard about how the House Energy and Commerce Committee had decided to launch an investigation into that rather disgusting goings on over there at Planned Parenthood, which also happens to the nation’s number one provider of abortions and, apparently for some time now, has also been acting as a distributor of baby body parts.  This investigation was prompted after video footage of Planned Parenthood executive Dr. Deborah Nucatola was released which showed this heartless bitch discussing fees for fetal tissue.  In a letter to the committee, Planned Parenthood’s attorney acknowledged that a “small number” of clinics facilitate donation of fetal tissue for medical research.

It was during his little weekly get together between himself and members of our state-controlled media that one of those enterprising reporters present proceeded to ask Steny, “In its last annual report, Planned Parenthood said it did more than 327,000 abortions in fiscal year 2013. Recent reports indicate that Planned Parenthood doctors have been harvesting tissue from aborted babies. So should federal taxpayer dollars be required to subsidize Planned Parenthood or should Congress cut off all federal funding?”  Now Steny had one of two ways that he could about answering this very easy question.  He could say that there is no way an organization that takes part in something like this should get any taxpayer money.

But Steny chose not to go that route.  Instead he once again behaved as expected, and answered the question as one would expect any pathetic Democrat to answer it.  Because what Steny said was, “Look, I don’t accept the premise that Planned Parenthood is ‘harvesting’ anything. Planned Parenthood is doing very, very important services for literally hundreds of thousands, maybe millions of women as relates to their health.”  First of all, in order for Steny to even make such an idiotic statement he must first be willing to either ignore the reality of what it is that’s going on right before his eyes on these videos, or be willing to simply lie about what was so very clearly going on here on both of these videos.

Steny went on to say, “I know there have been controversies, national controversy over these tapes that pertain.”  And he went on to say, “I haven’t reviewed the tapes, but I’ve read articles on them. And, certainly, the Congress, as I understand it, will be having hearings on it and I’ll be interested to see when that is.” He added, “But I’m not going to jump to conclusions,” he said.  “But I will say that I reject any premise that Planned Parenthood is harvesting fetal organs, or body parts, anything.”  So while this boob hasn’t even seen either of these videos, he feels confident enough to say that there is simply no way that they would show that this organization has in any taken part in the gruesome activity as has been suggested.

Regarding the video footage of Dr. Deborah Nucatola, the senior director of medical services for Planned Parenthood, the organization’s letter to Congress states, “The video also conveyed the impression that all Planned Parenthood affiliates have tissue donation programs. In fact, only a very small number of affiliates have programs to help women and families who wish to donate tissue for medical research.”  A second video was released on Tuesday by the Center for Medical Progress, which has been investigating Planned Parenthood for three years, and it shows Planned Parenthood official Dr. Mary Gatter also discussing fees for fetal body parts.  And yet Steny stubbornly refuses to acknowledge that which is so obviously taking place.

Concerning that video, Speaker John Boehner said, "This new video is as sickening, disturbing and callous as the last video. It's now clear that Planned Parenthood allows this horrifying conduct to happen throughout its organization.”  Boehner went on to say, “Last week, I called on Congress to investigate these gruesome practices.”  He said, “The Energy & Commerce and Judiciary Committees have begun immediate investigations and I look forward to their prompt and thorough action.”  And he then went on to, “President Obama still has not denounced these horrific practices.  He has a responsibility to also speak out immediately and stop these practices now."  It’ll be a cold day in Hell before that ever happens.

And you have to ask yourself, what is it with folks like those in the People’s Republic of Maryland?  A place where most folks apparently have little or no problem with the act of killing of babies for their body parts.  I mean, how else can you explain Hoyer’s idiotic response to the question, and the fact that there must be more than enough people who share his ghoulishness or how else could he keep getting himself re-elected?  Maryland must be a truly sick place populated some truly twisted individuals.  But let’s face it, isn’t that the case with most Blue states?  These people are, for the most part, the very ones who have absolutely no problem with abortions right up to, and including, the moment of birth.  Democrats are truly sick people!

ANOTHER EPISODE OF…THE GASBAG CHRONICLES WITH STENY HOYER…

As many of you are probably aware, or at least should be, Democrats have long possessed the notion that a fetus is not actually a human being until after it has been able to successfully navigate it’s exit from it’s mother’s womb, with, of course, no shortage of assistance from his or her mother.  And even then, there seems to be some level of doubt among them that even within minutes of making that previously mentioned exit, he or she does not yet fit the definition of being a living, breathing human life, and is therefore eligible to be terminated.

Which brings me, of course, to none other than Steny Hoyer, Democrat from the People’s Republic of Maryland and the principle character in this continuing series which I refer to as, ‘The Gasbag Chronicles.’  You see, it was old Steny that was recently asked whether an unborn child at 20 weeks after conception is actually a human being.  Steny, as to be expected, couldn’t quite bring himself to directly answer the yes-no question, choosing instead to say that “this is not a real issue.”  I guess I’m just not understanding the liberal logic here.

Hoyer was asked the question at a press event that followed Barry “Almighty’s” idiotic State of the Union at the Capitol on Tuesday evening.  He was asked, “Do you believe that an unborn child is a human being at 20 weeks after conception?”  To which he responded, “Look, what I bel--first of all, a very, very few number of abortions are done after 20 weeks. And then, almost exclusively for health reasons of the mother. So I think this is not a real issue.”  Who but a left-wing-nut-of-a-Democrat would think the life of a human fetus is not a real issue?

And it was then that old Steny went on to say, “However, having said that, I have long supported the ability of a mom--or the prospective mom--and her doctor, and her family to make what is a very difficult decision. And I don’t think that there are any women who at 20 weeks are looking for an elective abortion."  Hoyer was asked the question again via email through Hoyer’s congressional press office on Wednesday and there was also an attempt to get an answer through Hoyer’s office on Thursday. The office was unable to answer this relatively simple question.

And it was also just this week that the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) released what they referred to as being a “cost estimate” on the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, which would prohibit abortions in the 20th week or later in pregnancy, except in cases of rape, incest or when the mother’s life is at risk.  The CBO estimate calculated that the bill would prevent about 2,500 babies per year from being aborted—out of the 10,000 per year that CBO estimates are aborted each year in the 20th week of pregnancy or later.

It was in this “cost estimate” that CBO said, “Based on data compiled by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), CBO estimates that, each year, about 10,000 abortions take place 20 weeks or more after fertilization.  Now according to the most recent abortion surveillance report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there were 7,325 babies aborted at or after 21 weeks gestation during 2011 in the 37 states and the District of Columbia that report abortions by gestational age to the CDC.

The CDC reported that another 9,709 babies were aborted in those 37 states and the District of Columbia at 18 through 20 weeks after conception.  The thirteen states that did not report abortions by gestational age included California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.  It is not known how many babies were aborted in those states at 21 weeks or later into pregnancy.  I think in the very liberal of these states we can assume the number could be quite high.

So there you have it.  Who among us would have ever thought that this nation would one day get to the point where we would have a political party willing to enthusiastically support the excuse that a fetus, whether after one week or 9 months, is not a human being in order to justify the killing of hundreds of thousands of babies under the guise of protecting what they refer to as being a woman’s reproductive right.  Is that not one the sickest most and twisted things you’ve ever heard?  And it’s people like old Steny Hoyer who are members of that political party, the Democrat Party.

ANOTHER EPISODE OF THE ‘GASBAG CHRONICLES’, STARRING STENY HOYER…

In this the latest episode of the "Gasbag Chronicles" we find our socialist hero, the Constitutionally-challenged Steny Hoyer, busily doing his best to describe where it is in our Constitution that says Barry, our dictator-wannabe, has the authority to essentially rewrite, or to create out of whole cloth, new immigration policies regarding those in our country illegally.

It was at a press briefing on Tuesday that old Steny Hoyer actually made the claim that Barry does have "broad authority" to take unilateral action on immigration but was unwilling to directly answer the question of where it is, specifically, that our Constitution actually authorizes our ‘Dear Beloved Leader’ to unilaterally decide not to enforce current immigration laws.

Hoyer was asked: "The Constitution requires that the president ‘take care that the laws be faithfully executed.’ Where specifically in the Constitution does it give the president the power not to enforce immigration laws against 5 million violators of that law?" And of course Hoyer could not point to any specific provision of the Constitution, because there is none.

What he did say was that Barry has authority because "presidents have broad authority to deal with implementation" of immigration law. In attempting to back up his claim Hoyer said that which many others of his ilk have also said in trying to claim the Barry has done nothing different than what several Republican presidents, and a Democrat, have done before him.

But as with the other, Hoyer neglected to mention the very critical fact that the Republicans to which many Democrats refer, were not acting unilaterally, as Barry has proceeded to do. What they did was to sign into law legislation that had originated in Congress. But I think that most willing to look beyond the politics recognize that that is not what Barry has done here.

Hoyer said, "Well, your question is: Do I think the president has the authority to do what he did, and the answer to that is, yes I do. I believe the legal precedents are pretty clear under President Bush and under President Reagan and President Clinton, both President Bush’s actions have been taken. Presidents have broad authority to deal with the implementation of the immigration statute and I think what the president has done falls within his authority to do so, and I know there’s a hearing in the House today about that."

Hoyer went on to say, "Congress has a responsibility to act." And added, "When you have the speaker, former majority leader, the present majority leader, and almost everybody that I hear talking about it, saying that the system is broken, we have a responsibility to fix it." But the truth here, regardless of who it is that’s making these claims, is that the system is not broken!

Hoyer blathered on, "And we have that opportunity," said Hoyer. "So whether the president has--I believe he has the authority--but the Congress clearly has the authority to set the law. And if we pass the law, if we pass a law, that will be dispositive of the issue. The problem is we haven’t done that and the president has acted because he believes it’s in the best interest of the country to do so and to focus, which I think he’s absolutely right about, to focus resources on border security."

"And when they talk about border security, the border is much, much more secure than it was 10 years ago by every calculation," said Hoyer. "And then also focus on getting those who’ve committed crimes in America out of this country, who are not authorized to be here, out of this country. That’s what he’s doing, I think he’s right."

Barry announced on November 20 an executive order that said, "if you’ve been in America for more than five years; if you have children who are American citizens or legal residents; if you register, pass a criminal background check, and you’re willing to pay your fair share of taxes--you’ll be able to apply to stay in this country temporarily without fear of deportation."

This policy reportedly will effect up to five million illegal aliens and yet in July, it was the very same Steny Hoyer who said, at the time, in an interview, that Barry "can’t legalize" illegal aliens. He then went on to say that the president "can implement the laws as he believes they should be implemented." In other words he can pick and chose which laws to enforce? Really?

It was then that Hoyer said, "What the president can in fact do, however, is implement the laws as he believes they should be implemented." And then went on to say, "And there have been a lot of scholars--and I’m not going to go through the quotes now--who have said the president clearly has broad authority to decide how he’s going to implement the law."

What the Democrats are very clearly trying to do here, between this action of Barry’s that is clearly unconstitutional and the disgusting behavior that was recently display by those in the Congressional Black (Bonehead) Caucus with their "hands up, don’t shoot’ drivel, is to work to cobble together what they hope will be an impregnable voting block for years to come.

And what seems to matter very little, if at all, to folks like Hoyer is the actual state, whether fiscally, morally or economically, of our country. The primary goal of Democrats is to come up with a way that provides to them the ability to rig the political game by skewing our electoral process in such a way that will virtually guarantee to them endless electoral victories.

ANOTHER CHAPTER OF THE GAS-BAG CHRONICLES…

And here we have yet another prime indicator that, yes, we are in fact hip deep in the midst of yet another election season. Because there is nothing that drives that point home better than having some leftwing-loon-of-a-Democrat claiming that, yes by golly, he actually does support the building of something like the Keystone XL Pipeline. The Democrat in question, is, of course, none other than ‘Mr. Gasbag’ himself, Steny Hoyer. Steny said he supports building the Keystone XL Pipeline and that he agrees with the State Department’s report that not building the pipeline would increase greenhouse gas emissions. Of course, as is usually the case with Democrats, that support will last only until the next election.

At some little gathering referred to as a pen-and-pad briefing, at the U.S. Capitol on Tuesday, old Steny was asked, "In the State Department’s report, it said that if the Keystone Pipeline is not built, the method of delivering oil would increase greenhouse gases from 28 to 42 percent, are you in favor of not building …." Steny responded, "If it was not built? Sorry, I don’t understand the question." So the question was then reduced to a third grade level and asked again, "The State Department’s report, it said that not building the Keystone pipeline, the method of [delivering the] oil would increase greenhouse gases. Are you in favor of not building the pipeline, even if it means greenhouse gases will increase?"

To which Steny was finally able to respond by saying, "In favor of not building it? I’m in favor of building it. I said about a year ago, I think in this group, that I was for Keystone." He then went on to say, "I think the State Department is correct." Steny said, "The president has made the observation on numerous occasions and I’ve heard him personally, been with him when he said that obviously we want to be on a path away from fossil fuels, but natural gases are preferable to oil, clean air. Obviously, the extraction process itself is concerning to many people, as it well should be. We need to make sure that it’s safe, no harm to the water." Like we need a dimwit like Steny telling us that we need to make sure it’s safe.

And Steny continued, saying, "But I agree with the president. I agree with the observation you just quoted from the State Department that this would be net positive, not a negative, so I support it." Steny had previously stated in 2011 that Republican efforts to force a vote on the Keystone XL pipeline project was a "stick in the eye" of Democrats who oppose it. Keystone, for those of you who may have been living under a rock for the last few years, is, according to the website of TransCanada, the company in charge of the project, the proposed 1,179-mile 36-inch diameter pipeline that will transport crude oil from Hardisty, Alberta, Canada to Steele City, Neb. And a majority Democrats are, in fact, against building it.

So anyway, despite the many claims that he somehow actually does support the energy and the jobs that Keystone XL would provide, we should, by now, also be very aware of Barry’s continuing war on all things fossil fuel related and of his bogus concerns about carbon emissions. It has been these ‘concerns’ that he claims as being the reason behind his continuing refusal to approve the pipeline. But I think we all know the real reason for his stubborn refusal to move ‘forward’ with the pipeline, and it has far more to do with politics that some misplaced concern over carbon emissions. Barry would rather direct billions of taxpayer funds to his ‘green energy’ supporters than to do anything that would actually make this country energy independent.

LATEST EDITION OF THE “GASBAG CHRONICLES WITH STENY HOYER”…

In his search to somehow gain at least a little applause for himself during his snoozer of a State of the Union address, Barry once again saw fit to resort to that which he has done so many times before, the taking advantage of someone in the military, and all the while claiming that it was nothing more than a harmless gesture the purpose of which was to honor the sacrifice of Army Ranger Cory Remsburg. Sergeant Remsburg bravely fought for our country through 10, yes 10, tours of duty. So while the speech, because of Barry’s exploitation of this soldier and his wounds, was able to end on somewhat on a high note, old gasbag Steny Hoyer, scumbag Democrat from the People’s Republic of Merryland, made sure that that high note would be very short lived. Because that’s what Democrats do.

You see, Hoyer, in doing what was nothing more than to fire yet another shot in the Democrat Party’s continuing war on women, unleashed a rather nasty attack on Cathy McMorris Rodgers, the Republican who delivered the GOP response to Barry’s idiotic State of the Union. Choosing to ignore her stature in the GOP and her intellectual acumen, Hoyer instead reduced her solely to her gender, calling her a "transparent" choice to give the state of the union and claiming she was chosen simply because the GOP wanted to have a "a woman give their response." Personally, and I guess I could be wrong, I say that that's about the most sexist thing anyone could say. Imagine, if you will, the outcry that would have been heard round the world if a Republican had uttered such a thing about some liberal female.

According to Hoyer, Cathy McMorris Rodgers is "pleasant," and "gives a good appearance," but she is also well-educated (she has an MBA from her state's leading university), respected for her knowledge and judgment (she is Conference Chair of the House GOP) and a serious legislator whose achievements are widely recognized. So it’s quite remarkable to me that in an era when women have accomplished so much that Hoyer would actually stoop so low as to denigrate a working mother who is a role-model for millions of American women - and men, as well. But hey, I doubt many are really all that surprised because, after all, Democrats have long made it very clear that women serve one useful purpose and one purpose only, hence their effort to champion both abortion and unlimited, as well as free, contraceptives.

I long ago gave up trying to figure out how it is, exactly, that the Democrat Party continues to be permitted to get away with making the nonsensical, and obviously false, claim that it somehow speaks for "all women." And it’s really quite sad that a majority of our single women today can be so easily fooled, conned into believing that it’s the Democrat who have their best interests at heart. Commonsense seems to be in dangerously low supply. But, I digress. Hoyer's idiotic comments regarding a respected leader of the opposing party are among the most demeaning I've ever heard from the Hill. Perhaps his lengthy tenure in Washington has left him thinking morons like Nancy Pelosi, Debbie Wizzerman Schultz, Sheila Jackson Lee and Corrine Brown are mainstream. To the rest of the country, they definitely are not.

So what’s really up here, is it that Hoyer is simply out of touch with the electorate? If that is in fact the case, there would be a very easy remedy for just such an issue. Because here in the modern computer age, it would take very little effort on the part of Hoyer or any members of his, I’m sure very sizable, staff to spend but a few minutes online to educate themselves on where it is that most Americans stand on such things as the issue of government funding of abortion. The Democrat Party has long claimed the mantle of the civil rights leader Martin Luther King. But Hoyer, by judging Rep. McMorris Rodgers on her gender rather than her accomplishments, clearly chose to ignore King's dream. But, sadly, as we all know this is the type of drivel that has now become standard fare for hypocritical Democrats like old gasbag Hoyer.

ANOTHER EPISODE OF THE ‘GAS BAG CHRONICLES’, FEATURING EVERYBODY'S FAVORITE 'GAS BAG', STENY HOYER…

Senile old Steny Hoyer, that pathetic sleaze-bag from the People’s Republic of Maryland, rarely if ever actually makes any sense. But it was just this past Tuesday that he was heard making even less sense than usual. Because in discussing the upcoming fiscal battles that are sure to take place in the House, he used the act of hostage-taking as his metaphor of choice in describing the need to once again raise our, already too high, debt limit. He actually went so far as to use Ronald Reagan as his example. Which was rather strange, I thought. But then, it seems that whenever Democrats are looking for a good example for justifying something they want to do, they never look to their own. It's never Carter or Clinton who are used as being their example.

"Ronald Reagan agreed on that so that almost all the leaders and certainly every former Republican president believes that taking that hostage is a hostage you do not want to create," Hoyer said while explaining that it would be "dangerous" for Republicans not to extend the debt limit. Hoyer added, "Taking that hostage that if you kill that hostage would kill the economy and undermine the stability of the country and give to the world an extraordinarily negative view of the United States’ ability to manage its own affairs," Hoyer added. Steny needs to come down from whatever trip he's on and realize that the world already has a negative view of this country. And after having gone four years without a budget it's become fairly obvious that we can't manage our own affairs.

Personally, I thought the fact that Hoyer made his rather idiotic hostage comparison just one day after a gunman killed 12 people and injured 20+ others in a shooting at the Navy Yard in Washington, D.C. was a little inappropriate, even distasteful. But then, he is a brain dead Democrat, so I'm sure it never even occurred to him. Steny's idiotic attempt to compare hostage-taking with raising the debt limit came in response to something that some doofus by the name of Ben White, who I guess is the host of Politico’s Morning Money Breakfast Briefing, had said. White started the bizarre exchange by saying, "Speaking of hostage taking, if you take hostages, the only way that scenario works is if you’re willing to kill the hostage."

White then proceeded to ask Hoyer, "On the debt limit, do you think there is a real risk that we get very close to the point of being unable to borrow further with the Treasury and to default given the differences on the fiscal issues and insistence of many Republicans on either defunding Obamacare or cutting spending in a way the Democrats would never expect?" And he followed up asking, "Is this a riskier scenario than we’ve seen previously given how polarized the two parties seem to be right at this moment?" Hoyer claimed it was "riskier" because of what House Speaker John Boehner and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor were trying to do on the continuing resolution. I see the greater risk in our continuing to borrow even more money.

Hoyer said, "You saw Heritage and Freedom Works and Club for Growth, all very energized and a very hard line, we’re-going-to-score-this-vote mode." He went on to say, "All which, as I said, Republicans for the most part are concerned not about generals but about primaries, and they’re concerned about funding from these very, very hard-line right groups, right-wing groups – incorrect groups, but right-wing groups. And I think that in that context, we’re at greater risk." He added, "The irony is that Boehner and Cantor would both tell you if they were on this stage not extending the debt limit is an irrational, dangerous, economically devastating policy. My presumption is McConnell would say the same thing. He has said the same thing in the past."

In bringing up Reagan I guess Hoyer was making reference to a Sept. 26, 1987, radio address to the nation on the federal debt ceiling increase and deficit reduction, in which Reagan said, "Unfortunately, Congress consistently brings the government to the edge of default before facing its responsibility. This brinkmanship threatens the holders of government bonds and those who rely on Social Security and veterans benefits." He added, "Interest rates would skyrocket, instability would occur in financial markets, and the federal deficit would soar. The United States has a special responsibility to itself and the world to meet its obligations. It means we have a well-earned reputation for reliability and credibility -- two things that set us apart from much of the world."

But look, the bottom line here is that as much as Steny and his fellow Democrats might wish it were so, this is not 1987. It's 2013 and never before in our nation's history have we had the level of out-of-control spending that has been underway over the course of just the last 4 years. And without a budget of any kind. So this pompous old gas bag can throw around Ronald Reagan as much as he wants, but I don’t think what Reagan said over 25 years ago applies to the situation that we have today. The Democrats have now essentially turned our ballooning debt into what is nothing more than a suicide mission for the country. There has to be an end point to all of this insane spending, and there can be no better time than right now to say this much and no more.

ANOTHER EPISODE OF THE GASBAG CHRONICLES…FEATURING STENY HOYER…

I know it’s been awhile since our last episode here, but it’s been awhile since I've been paying attention to anything that Steny has had to say But, proving further that Democrats seem to be of the opinion that we must all think as they do, old Steny, who you'll recall is from the People’s Republic of Maryland, said just yesterday that racism is "present in all of our minds" and has gone on since Biblical times. Well I think safe to say that we knew all along that that's how pretty much all Democrats think. But it's certainly not how most Americans think!

Anyway, it was during some hearing before something called the House Democratic Steering and Policy Committee called by old Nancy Pelosi, that Steny put on his most recent display of stupidity. He said, "Racism is present in every one of our communities, and as you pointed out Dr. [Maya] Wiley, present in all of our minds." He then went on to say, "We need to be conscious of that and confront it. That’s why I think this conversation is so important. Racism is not simply about African Americans. It is about the very psychology of our country."

This idiotic little hearing of Nancy's, entitled, "A Conversation on Race and Justice in America," featured testimony by Morris Dees, founder of the Southern Poverty Law Center; Eugene Robinson, columnist at The Washington Post; and Maya Wiley, founder and president of the Center for Social Inclusion. And the panel consisted of pretty much the same bizarre cadre of leftist loons that Sandra Fluke appeared before in describing her 'need' for free contraceptives. And this hearing was about as pointless as the one Ms. Fluke took part in. Maybe even more so.

During Hoyer’s opening remarks, where he again appeared to be speaking for Democrats everywhere, he said that racism is inherent in America, and he doesn’t see an end to it. This moron from Maryland said, "This conversation is not new, and my speculation is it will never end. I don’t know why that’s the case, but if you read the Bible, thousands of years have gone by and we're still having grief's about our differences, about not the content of character, but the color of skin or the religion." I had no idea that folks in his 'Blue' state were such bigots. Go figure!

And on and on old Steny went. He said, "The Irish all look alike but they have a different religion and they tend to hate the other person." And on, saying, "And we’re getting there, we’re moving—but Shia and Sunni, you could just name so many examples." And on some more, saying, "Here in America, race of course is the most visible and most evident difference between us, gender as well, obviously." Is this now the kind of silliness that Democrats feel they need to resort to in order to convince blacks that they really are on their side?

As you might have guessed, this pointless hearing was called in the wake of George Zimmerman’s acquittal of murder in the shooting Trayvon Martin. Dees said "clearly race was involved" in Martin’s death, and that despite the fact that the FBI found no evidence of racial bias from Zimmerman when it conducted its own thorough investigation. So what, then, does this clown base that opinion on. I mean we've all been told that the jurors said race was not a factor, the prosecution team said race was not a factor and Zimmerman himself said race was not a factor.

I think most of us would agree that, in representing the party of segregation, Jim Crow, slavery and the Ku Klux Klan, old Steny most likely knows more than just a thing or two about racism and being racist. And probably a lot more than he knows about anything Biblical. And the sad thing is that blacks continue to allow themselves to be bought off, having essentially sold their soul to guys just like Hoyer. And for what? What exactly do they have to show for all their years of servitude? And yet, there seems to be no willingness to try something different.

THE LATEST INSTALLMENT OF THE 'GASBAG CHRONICLES', WITH STENY HOYER...

I'm not even sure where to begin with this little bit of idiocy. But the House Democratic leadership actually made the statement on Wednesday of this week that the debt ceiling "ought not be a negotiating item" in Congress, thereby ceding their constitutional authority to borrow money to our "Lord and Savior", Barack Hussein Obama! The lead character in our continuing series, "The Gasbag Chronicles", Steny Hoyer, said, "The debt limit ought not to be held hostage to anything." This dim bulb went on to say, "It hurt our economy. We were downgraded for the first time in my career, and I think in history, by one of the rating agencies." Adding, "The credit worthiness of America ought not to be put at risk." Saying, "It ought not to be a negotiating item."

Maybe somebody should have asked this pompous ass why it was that our credit rating was downgraded in the first place. I don't suppose it could have had anything to do with all of the excessive spending that this dope has been such an enthusiastic supporter of.. Look, the current debt limit stands at an astronomical $16.394 Trillion, which the Treasury Department expects to be met before the end of the year. As of the close of business Monday, the public debt reached $16.338 Trillion, leaving less than $60 Billion before the ceiling is met. In the fiscal cliff negotiations, Barry "Almighty" actually asked for the power to permanently and unilaterally lift the debt limit without the approval of Congress. To allow such a thing would be nothing short of f*cking crazy. Or, fiscal insanity in it’s most pure form.

And once again lying through his teeth, or talking out his ass as he has a tendency to do, Hoyer actually made the idiotic claim that Barry does want so be part of any agreement. Hoyer said, "First of all, of course the president wants it part of the agreement so that we do not harm the economy, harm the creation of jobs and harm working Americans and America’s credit worthiness by making that part of the debate." He went on to say, "It ought not be part of the debate." Look, most likely, irreparably harm has already been done to the economy, thanks to crooks like Hoyer. And Barry should want to be more than merely part of any agreement, he should be willing to lead on the issue. But since we all know Barry is completely incapable of actually leading on any issue, he leaves things to his schleps in Congress like this gasbag, Hoyer.

Old Steny said he agrees with Barry's proposal that would give to our 'Dear Beloved Leader' the permanent unilateral authority to raise the debt ceiling unless overridden by two-thirds of the Congress, which he offered via Treasury Secretary, Timmy "The Tax Cheat" Geithner, in fiscal cliff negotiations with House and Senate leaders last week. "I think the president is absolutely right," Hoyer said on Friday. Adding that, "We ought not to play this game of debt limit extension. Both parties have been responsible and participated in this game." Ok, and that's true, but never before in our history has one party been responsible for level of spending that borders on the total insanity that we have today! We're now printing money so fast I'm surprised the printing presses haven't melted!

And then in what was clearly an attempt to try to downplay the role the Democrats have consistently played in creating our current financial and economic nightmare, Hoyer said, "When the other party was in charge, whether it was a Democratic Party or a Republican Party, with the other party in charge of the White House we tended to demagogue on the debt limit." And in trying to reduce it down to being nothing more than politics, he said, "I think that's unfortunate." And then, sounding rather indignant, Hoyer said, "President Obama is saying we ought to stop playing that, because it hurt our economy very substantially when we did so in the summer of 2011," he said. Democrat loon, Nancy "Old Stretch" Pelosi also endorsed the president’s plan last week saying the debt limit should be out of the hands of Congress. Ya, sure!

Our Constitution, you know that rather famous little document that, for the most part, has worked pretty darn well for us and that turds like Hoyer, Pelosi and Barry would like nothing more that to simply shred, expressly gives the power to borrow money to Congress, not the president. And there is a reason for that, one we should take seriously especially when we have a president who is as dishonest and as corrupt as our current one. Article 1, Section 8, Clause 2 says: "Congress shall have power ... To borrow money on the credit of the United States." The debt ceiling was last raised on August 2, 2011 when Congress and the president agreed to the Budget Control Act, which increased the borrowing limit by $2.4 trillion, and set in motion $1.2 trillion in automatic cuts to defense and discretionary spending.

Standard and Poor’s downgraded the U.S. credit rating just three days later on August 5 from AAA to AA+, saying that the legislation "falls short of what, in our view, would be necessary to stabilize the government's medium-term debt dynamics." Prior to the downgrade, John Chambers, chairman of S&P's sovereign ratings committee, said $4 trillion in deficit reduction over 10 years would be a good start and "would signal the seriousness of policymakers to address the fiscal position of the United States." Now I'm sure this guy, Mr. Chambers, is a lot smarter than I am when it comes to such matters as this. But honestly, when your talking about over $16 Trillion dollars of debt, $4 Trillion over 10 years really doesn't amount to squat. It's merely a drop in the bucket. So fasten your seatbelts, folks, it's over the cliff we go!

ANOTHER INSTALLMENT OF THE ‘GASBAG CHRONICLES’, STARRING STENY HOYER…

We recently heard a rather strange admission come from that perennial gasbag, Steny Hoyer. What he finally admitted was that he doesn’t have a clue as to when Barry’s plan for the fiscal cliff might actually balance the federal budget. "The President’s proposition was that, on the revenue side, to balance the spending cuts we needed to raise additional revenues," Hoyer said during a Capitol Hill ‘pen and pad briefing’ with reporters on Friday. "We are now collecting revenues at about 15 percent and spending at about 22 percent of GDP [Gross Domestic Product]." "You can’t do that for very long," he said. Adding, "Even the richest country on the face of the earth can’t do that forever without having serious adverse consequences." I think is pretty safe to say that, these days, thanks to Steny and his crowd this country is no longer the richest country on the face of the earth. I mean when you are $16 Trillion in debt, can you really be described as being rich?

But our favorite gasbag wasn’t finished, not by a long shot. Steny went on to say, "Almost everybody you speak to says you’ve got to bring those into balance." However, when a reporter asked the second-ranking Democrat in the House when the president will achieve that balance, Hoyer said he did not know. A report in attendance asked: "You said that we have to bring spending and revenue into balance. So, when does President Obama’s plan, specifically—what year—does he balance the federal budget?" Hoyer responded saying , "I don’t know the answer to that question." Adding, "If it’s the $4 trillion and it’s the percentage of GDP that he arrives at." He was then asked, "Do you have any idea what percentage of GDP they would be balanced at?" To which he said, "Uh, James [Leuschen, senior policy adviser] is not in the room, is he?" He went on, "I’m sorry, I don’t know. I can get that for you." Sure he will, anybody believe that?

The federal government collected $2.4 trillion in revenue in FY 2012, which ended Sept. 30, or 15.8 percent of GDP. Spending accounted for 22.8 percent of GDP at $3.5 trillion, according to the Congressional Budget Office. This is the fourth year in a row where the deficit topped $1 Trillion. Thursday on Capitol Hill, Timmy ‘The Tax Cheat’ Geithner, in what was described as ‘negotiating’ on behalf of Barry to avert the so-called fiscal cliff, actually had the nerve to propose $1.6 trillion in tax hikes and at least $50 billion in additional stimulus spending. Laughably, Timmy reportedly also wanted unilateral authority for the president to raise the debt limit and delay the automatic spending cuts via the sequester for an additional year in exchange for $400 billion in cuts to entitlements. Democrats claim that the plan will total $4 trillion in deficit reduction over 10 years. Come on, really? Talk about fuzzy math! Democrat constituents may buy this mumbo-jumbo, but nobody else does.

A Republican aide told Reuters that Timmy’s offer was met with considerable laughter for its complete lack of seriousness. "We can't move any closer to them because they're not even on our planet," the aide said. Sen. Jeff Sessions, ranking member of the Senate Budget Committee, in a statement said: "Secretary Geithner has offered no plan on behalf of the president. Newspaper articles and leaks from anonymous aides are not a plan. Until this fantasy ‘plan’ from a secret meeting is made public and scored by the Congressional Budget Office it does not exist. Based on history, we can safely assume that reports that this ‘plan’ saves $4 trillion is a fabrication. It is a distraction that allows the White House to continue to run out the clock so it can have maximal leverage to force through a bad deal in the last minutes before midnight." And I’m curious, if we’re taxing at 15 percent of GDP and spending at 22 percent, why is the only solution to increase revenue? Especially when Barry wants to INCREASE spending?

Republicans have vowed to keep the Bush era tax rates in place for all Americans, while offering to raise additional revenue through closing unnamed tax loopholes and deductions in exchange for spending cuts. Earlier this year after Barry unveiled his ‘budget’ for fiscal year 2013, which also promised $4 trillion in deficit reduction and failed unanimously in both the House and Senate, Rep. Tim Huelskamp said it "never" balances the budget. In February, during a House Budget Committee hearing, Huelskamp asked Jeffrey Zients, the acting White House Budget Director, when exactly Barry’s budget would balance spending and revenue. "Well, he stabilizes the debt in this budget," was Zients’ idiotic response. Adding, "And this budget makes major progress." He claimed that Barry "stabilizes" the debt in 2018. "That's when the budget will balance?" Huelskamp asked. "That's when the debt stabilizes in 2018 as a percent of GDP. … You have to think about it that way," Zients said.

"Since he did not respond to the question," Huelskamp later wrote, "I will: the answer is 'never.'" And that pretty accurately sums things up. Barry has absolutely no intention of balancing the budget and that should be painfully obvious. But doesn’t seem to keep blowhards like Hoyer from claiming that that remains the goal. It’s all nothing more than propaganda, empty rhetoric that these pathetic Democrats hope that they can get enough of the American people to believe if only they repeat it enough and can get their allies in our state-controlled media complex to do the same. There is a stubborn refusal on the part of gasbags like Hoyer to make any kind of spending cuts! And the Republicans must remain resolute and present a united front against what will most assuredly be a well-orchestrated smear campaign against them. What makes the most sense, fiscally and economically, in the effort to bring revenue and spending amounts closer? Seems to me the answer is simple, cut spending!
