DEMANDS FOR AMNESTY SHOULD BE CONSIDERED A NONSTARTER…

There has been much talk, of late, and from sources on both sides of the political aisle, claiming that should Republicans fail to bring up some form of comprehensive immigration reform, aka amnesty, they face the possibility of never again winning the White House and of becoming the permanent minority party. Personally, I would argue that just such a scenario would be far more likely if they ‘were’ to bring it up.

And now inserting themselves into the amnesty fray, we have a team of supposed top Republican pollsters who have now, collectively it would seem, come to the conclusion that Republicans can generate a "more positive electoral environment" by choosing to embrace immigration reform. "A more positive electoral environment?" So what the Hell do they mean by that? Sounds like a bunch of mumbo-jumbo to me.

But with recent events, specifically the fact that House Majority Leader Eric Cantor essentially had his ass handed to him in Virginia’s GOP primary, the group's findings could be dampened. Because Cantor’s defeat by a complete unknown is said to have had a direct correlation to his very enthusiastic support for some form of amnesty. And the voters made it quite clear that that is not something in which they are in favor.

This team of 16 pollsters from 10 firms, including some that have polled for Tea Party-related figures and groups, conducted two surveys for FWD.us, which is a pro-reform group headed by Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg. It released its findings today in a memo which, I have no doubt, will likely be used as ammunition by the pro-amnesty crowd. But I simply don’t find their results to be all that credible.

The fact that these supposed ‘Republican’ pollsters at least appear to be on the payroll of a big money liberal who’s strongly in favor of amnesty, tells me pretty much all I need to know regarding both the results they came up with and how it was that they might have come up with them. And it causes me to distrust their findings as well as to call into question what might have motivated them to side with Zuckerberg.

This group also said that the reforms would also include a pathway for citizenship for undocumented immigrants. However, we’re told by those who should know that Cantor's loss on Tuesday came in part because of a backlash over his support of a Republican-backed version of the "Dream Act," which allows some immigrants who came to the United States as children to qualify for in-state college tuition rates.

And much is being made about how RINO Lindsey Graham was able to easily win his primary on Tuesday despite the fact that he has played a pretty active role in the ‘bipartisan’ effort to pass immigration reform. But, perhaps, had his opposition gotten their shit together with Graham being made to face only one primary candidate, instead of six, the contest would have been considerably closer than it was.

Anyway, back to these supposed ‘Republican’ pollsters. We’re told that they surveyed 800 Hispanic voters between May 27 and June 1, and another group of 800 voters, including an oversample of Republicans, from May 17-23. And I guess we’re supposed to believe these pollsters when they tell us that half of these Hispanic voters say that they blame Republicans for the reform efforts' failure to pass. I say, so what?

In addition, 76 percent of them said they would listen to Republicans say about other issues, as long as they support immigration reform. I’m thinking that’s pretty much bullshit. There is simply nothing that anyone is going to be able to say that will convince me that amnesty is the way to go. What we need to do is start locking up employers who hire those here illegally so that they will simply choose to self-deport.

And it’s according to the same memo generated by these pollsters that, "There is a strong sentiment in the country that undocumented immigrants should not be granted amnesty." And it went on to say, "This immigration reform proposal addresses that issue by requiring that undocumented immigrants pay a fine, taxes owed, learn English and wait at least thirteen years until they can become citizens." It all bologna.

Look, folks like these 800 Hispanics supposed quizzed by this gang of Zuckerberg-funded Republican pollsters are going to have to make up their minds about something. Illegal immigrants are just that, they are in our country illegally, which means they are breaking our laws. If those here legally can’t bring themselves to support our laws, maybe they too should be shipped back to ‘their’ country of origin as well!

WILL THE REPUBLICANS CAVE ON AMNESTY???

FUTURE DEMOCRATS, PERHAPS?

Word now comes from ‘Chuckie’ Schumer quite confidently proclaims that Congress will pass a comprehensive immigration reform package, aka amnesty, this summer, and he insisted that Republicans would not be re-elected if they fail to move forward on the issue. Sounding much like the arrogant ASSHOLE that we all know him to be, he was recently heard to say, "I want to let you in on a little secret. We are going to pass that bill and sign it into law this year." He made his declaration at the 12th annual Daily News/ CUNY Citizenship NOW! immigration call-in event in Manhattan

The bipartisan bill to which old ‘Chuckie’ refers, which would create what has been referred to as being a pathway to citizenship for the country's 11 million undocumented immigrants, cleared the Senate last June but has been stalled in the Republican-controlled House ever since. And then old ‘Chuckie’ proceeded to lay it on thick. He said, "The Republican Party knows if it continues to be seen as anti-immigrant, they're going to lose election after election…Their leadership knows it, and they're trying to convince the rank and file." Actually it’s just the opposite that’s true.

‘Chuckie’ was joined at this silly little event by other New York dignitaries to help launch the annual immigrant information service which gives free, confidential citizenship and immigration information through a hotline staffed by lawyers, paralegals, and law students. Supposedly, Daily News Chairman and Publisher Mortimer Zuckerman, and an immigrant from Canada said, "I've had a wonderful experience with this country and there's no [other] country in the world that in a sense welcomes and gives opportunities to immigrants." Maybe this douche should go back to Canada!

As you may, or may not, recall old ‘Chuckie’ was one of the Democrat members of the "Gang of Eight," that bipartisan group of lawmakers who drafted the bill in the Senate last year, and he served as one of the chief negotiators to get the legislation through the chamber. And much to my disappointment my own senator, Marco Rubio was also a member of this little clique, as were RINOs, John McCain, Lindsey Graham and Jeff Flake. And how Rubio could have ever allowed himself to have gotten so tangled up with this crew is beyond me. But because he did, he has forever lost my vote.

I guess I just don’t understand why it is that so many who are supposed to be on my side, appear to be so willing to help out those on the other side. And let me makes this as crystal clear as I possibly can. Should congressional Republicans go along with this cockamamie idea, it’s then that they will then to proceed to lose election after election. Because, for one reason, in creating 11 million ‘new’ Americans they will essentially be creating 11 million ‘new’ Democrats. And for another those of us who firmly oppose amnesty will never again vote for any Republican if they do in fact go forward with this.

IMMIGRATION, THE AMERICAN PEOPLE JUST DON’T SEE THE URGENCY…

According to some new polling information from Gallup it would seem that an overwhelming majority of Americans simply don’t view immigration reform as being the same top priority for 2014 that most of our members of Congress seem to see it. As a matter of fact, immigration reform is pretty near the back of the pack, coming in well behind such issues as healthcare, jobs, the economy, dissatisfaction with Washington politicians, the debt and deficit, lack of money, ethics and moral issues, poverty, the gap between the rich and the poor, education, foreign aid, the cost of living and others. In fact, it’s only three percent of Americans who think that the immigration issue is a priority that even warrants being dealt with this year.

"Americans start the new year with a variety of national concerns on their minds," Gallup’s Lydia Saad wrote on Wednesday. In fact, immigration is so low among Americans’ priorities that Ms. Saad didn’t even bother to mention it in her report on Gallup’s findings. It is, however, listed near the bottom of a chart of Americans’ priorities where it appears slightly above welfare and "lack of respect for each other" as being the issues Americans think need to be dealt with. Despite the fact that most Americans clearly don’t think that Congress or Barry "Almighty" should consider immigration reform a priority in 2014, Speaker John Boehner and the rest of House GOP leadership apparently do consider it as being a priority.

Boehner, along with House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, Judiciary Committee chairman Bob Goodlatte, and Budget Committee chairman Paul Ryan, among others, are currently drafting what’s being called a set of immigration "principles" that will all but recommend the granting of amnesty to large swaths of illegal aliens in America while massively increasing the levels of legal immigration to the country. But the only way immigration issues would fit into the priorities of voters is if they are viewed through the lens of how economically devastating amnesty and a subsequent massive increase in legal immigration would be to jobs and the economy, two issues that are top priorities for most Americans.

It was a little over a week ago, now, that we saw16 House Republicans step forward to write a letter to Barry about how American workers would be displaced if these immigration reform proposals were to succeed. "Rapidly expanding unskilled immigration – at a time when factory work and blue collar jobs are disappearing – would represent the final economic blow for millions of workers who have been struggling to gain an economic foothold," the members wrote. "Yet, despite this jobs crisis for American workers, the White House continues to advocate that CEOs and business executives seek lower cost labor." So essentially it would be the American people, who would once again be made to end up sucking hind tit.

Anyway this letter went on to say, "The White House has entertained a parade of high-powered business executives to discuss immigration policy, all while shutting out the concerns of everyday wage-earners who overwhelmingly oppose these measures. You even released an economic report saying that the ‘hospitality and leisure industry’ needs ‘legislation that would legalize workers in the U.S. and facilitate the lawful employment of future foreign-born workers.’" I guess what I find most disappointing, even depressing, is that fact that out of 233 Republicans in the House, we have only 16 who actually thought it important enough to voice their concerns to our president/dictator/king, Barry "Almighty."

So our GOP leaders have been busy finalizing plans for an open debate on immigration to be held by legislators at their late January ‘closed-door’ strategy session in Cambridge, Md. The debate will include a panel of legislators, an outside expert, and an open mic, allowing members to comment on the previously mentioned set of immigration "principles" that are likely to be released at the event, according to a person with knowledge of the situation. The format will put Speaker Boehner along with fellow RINO, and immigration advocate, Paul Ryan in the driver’s seat. But a new poll that shows increased voter hostility to amnesty is highlighting the difficulty that they face in trying to satisfy both their November voters and their business donors.

The new Quinnipiac University poll shows that both independent and GOP voters have swung sharply against the idea of amnesty since last May. The poll, released Jan. 8, asked 1,487 registered voters if they would be more or less likely to support legislators who backed an amnesty, which was euphemistically called "a path to citizenship." Fifty-two percent of Republicans and 42 percent of independents said they would be less likely to vote for the legislator. This opposition has grown by 50 percent since a May 2013 poll by Quinnipiac, which showed that 36 percent of Republicans and 25 percent of independents said they would be less likely to vote for a candidate who supports a "pathway to citizenship."

The new poll also showed that actual support for legislators who back an amnesty dipped slightly, from 26 percent to 25 percent among independents, and from 15 percent to 13 percent among Republicans. The shifts comes despite vocal support from Barry, extensive cheerleading in the media and expensive advertising by business groups and billionaires, including Facebook’s Mark Zukerberg, media mogul Michael Bloomberg and investor Steve Case. GOP leaders have also tried to mute voters’ opposition by downplaying their efforts to pass a bill. So once again we the people are simply ignored by those whom we elect to serve us. Just another knife in back by those whom we can no longer afford to trust.

Unfortunately, at the end of the day I think it’s become safe to assume that we the people have now become the equivalent of being completely invisible to those whom we elect. Our priorities are no longer their priorities. And apparently, as far as Boehner is concerned, it simply doesn’t matter what we want, he figures he can tell us what we want to hear, and then simply do whatever he wants. He’s done that very thing on more occasions than I care to count. It’s all about what he, his fellow RINOs, and, of course, the Democrats see as being the top priority. As long we continue to roll over, refusing to hold them accountable, not much, if anything, is ever going to change. Next November may provide our last opportunity to remind them whose boss. But will we?

OBAMA IS DESPERATE TO CREATE MORE DEMOCRATS…

Apparently, while speaking to what was described as being a group of business leaders there at the White House on Tuesday, Barry "Almighty" made it quite clear that that he’s rather eager to get this whole amnesty thing done with. He said he doesn’t know any reason why a "pathway to citizenship" for illegal aliens could not be enacted before the end of this year. And, I guess, in what was an attempt to make his point, he argued that there are "some very conservative folks" who "believe that now is the time to get this done." I assume he’s talking about Marco Rubio, who, even now, is backtracking. I doubt it’s the true conservative folks who are in any big hurry to move on amnesty, but the not-so-conservative folks most certainly are!

"These businesses understand that," he said. "They understand that if we are serious about border security, if we do a better job of streamlining the legal immigration system, if we are holding employers who aren’t doing the right thing accountable, and we provide a pathway to citizenship for those who have paid a fine, learned English, are getting to the back of the line, taking their responsibilities--that all together, these businesses are going to have more customers, we’re going to see people who are currently working here, out of the shadows, paying taxes and getting right with the law." Well those in Congress don’t work for those businesses, who they work for is "We the People!" Barry supports none of these requirement, he wants blanket amnesty.

Barry further said that providing an amnesty to illegal aliens--n.b. a "pathway to citizenship"--would grow the U.S. economy above "the growth that's already taking place," and reduce the federal deficit. "We know that the Senate bipartisan bill that already passed would grow the economy by $1.4 trillion above and beyond the growth that’s already taking place," said Barry. "We know it will reduce our deficit by $850 billion." How, exactly, do we know that, because Barry says it? You mean just like when he said that all of those folks who happened to like their health insurance plans would be able to keep them, PERIOD! Now that worked out real fine, didn’t it. Look, this pathetic piece of shit is simply not to be trusted.

And then in what was another attempt to bolster his case Barry said, "So this is something that has strong bipartisan support." Adding, "Keep in mind that my predecessor, George W. Bush, was a strong supporter of this. We have a fascinating cross-section of people--some unlikely bedfellows, some very liberal folks, some very conservative folks--who all believe that now is the time to get this done." Ok, and just because Bush was a big supporter of this doesn’t mean that it’s something that has strong conservative support. And as I seem to recall, Bush took a great deal of heat for choosing to support what was being called, "comprehensive immigration reform." Because that was nothing more than a codename for "amnesty."

Barry’s desire to get this amnesty legislation passed and onto his desk has absolutely nothing whatsoever to with "growing the economy." If Barry truly was interested in doing that, he would be working on getting those 10 Million folks who have left the workforce, since he first came into office, back into the workforce. It’s very clear that his motivation here is purely political, and if the House Republicans, and John Boehner specifically, decide to assist him in this little endeavor, they will be essentially cutting their own throats! What Barry wants to do here is to create even more folks who will become totally dependent on the government, and therefore reliable Democrat voters. This cannot be allowed to happen. It must not happen!

THE CONTINUING SAGA OF RUBIO'S AMNESTY FOLLY...

So, my friends, just when you thought you had all the reasons that you needed not to support this "Gang of Eight" immigration/amnesty legislation, along comes yet another nutty Democrat who is proposing an even nuttier amendment. It seems that on this past Wednesday, Sen. Brian Schatz, a Democrat who hales from Hawaii, that liberal island paradise which, according to Barry, is part of Asia, filed an amendment for the immigration bill that would actually allow stateless people in the U.S. to seek conditional lawful status if their nations have been made uninhabitable by...climate change. Hey Marco, you going along with this lunacy too? Probably, nothing would surprise me at this point!

As it currently stands, the Senate’s immigration bill now being debated already recognizes that people who come to the U.S. may have no country to return to for a variety of reasons and allows them to come forward to apply for legal status as a stateless person. About the only cause for displacement that seems to have remained overlooked in the current law is how the effects of mythical "climate change" has caused people to lose their homes and their nationality. So our enterprising senator from Hawaii has attempted to rectify that obvious little oversight. Making the claim that climate change is not some "abstract challenge," but is already displacing people across the world, Schatz explained:

"The amendment I am proposing is quite simple. If enacted, the Secretary of Homeland Security, in consultation with the Secretary of State, may designate individuals or a group of individuals displaced permanently by climate change as stateless persons.

Again, let me be clear about what this amendment does. It simply recognizes that climate change, like war, is one of the most significant contributors to homelessness in the world. And like with states torn apart and made uninhabitable by war, we have an obligation not to deport people back to a country made uninhabitable by sea level rise and other extreme environmental changes that render these states desolate. It does not grant any individual or group of individuals outside the United States with any new status or avenue for seeking asylum in the United States."

If you choose to believe those environmental extremists who insist upon perpetuating that which has been proven to be bogus more times than I care to count, it was during last year alone that more than 32 million people all across the globe who were supposedly forced to flee from their homes because of climate-related disasters. If you believe that then I have some prime oceanfront property in Arizona that I can let you have real cheap, and I'll even throw in this bridge I own in New York City. We are told that we can expect this climate refugee problem to only grow significantly worse. Theories that foretell of all manner of doom and gloom abound. There's just one thing wrong, it just ain't so!

We're continually told by these climate change alarmists that climate’s impact reach further than just the rise in sea levels, which, they claim, already threatens the very existence of certain islands like Kiribati and the Marshall Islands. And we're also told how agriculture could be made to fail on entire continents as a result of what they call climate-induced desertification. This is the level of insanity that we get from those who identify themselves as being experts in the area of climate change. All an expert is, really, is nothing more than a drip under pressure. Anyway, and this is the sort of pure bullshit that this moron Schatz bases the need for his amendment to what is already an insane piece of legislation.

Supposedly, Schatz’s amendment also requires a federal study of the impact of climate change has on 'internal migration' within the U.S., an issue that is said to affect his home state of Hawaii. The Pacific Islands Regional Climate Assessment (PIRCA) has noted that in the short term Hawaii will see increased likelihood of coastal flooding and erosion, while "mounting threats" to food, water, infrastructure and safety will eventually cause people to migrate from low-lying islands to high. For those unfamiliar with PIRCA it is yet another little work of climate change propaganda essentially put together with the assistance of over 100 scientific 'experts' and practitioners of the climate change religion. It's BUNK!

So I guess my point here is that while we cannot have an amendment that actually deals specifically with the tightening of border security, we do have time to seriously discuss an amendment that is pretty far removed from reality. And I'm pretty sure that there are more than enough Democrats, and maybe even some Republicans, in the senate who would be more than willing to vote for Schatz's idiotic amendment. Which brings me back to my previous question. Is this, too, something that Marco Rubio is now willing to support in an effort to get his amnesty legislation passed? I mean, up to this point he's been pretty willing to go along with just about anything. Enjoy your one term Marco, it'll be your last!

Just one last thing. Suppose the Democrats are right, that Republicans, by voting against this thing, are cutting their own political throats and that for decades to come will be made to walk the political wilderness because Hispanics will desert them in droves. Well I tell ya what, if that does come to pass at least we went down to defeat standing for something. It's not much, but it's something. And another thing, in about five years, assuming Hitlery gets elected in 2016, when this entire country implodes, I wonder how many of those folks now here illegally will be headed back to their homeland? Because the sad fact is, their little gravy train here ain't got that much track left. And maybe that's what's needed anyway.
